Hotel is very nice. Rooms are clean and modern. Receptionist was nice and gave us a bag as a gift for staying with them - nice! Great location in Waikiki (in the middle of all the hustle and bustle). And the balet guys are super nice, too.

I loved everything about this trip and the hotel. My favorite vacation destination yet, and I’ve traveled a lot, U.S and out the country etc etc. There staff at the hotel was extremely nice, and gave you that Aloha welcome. The property is located in the best Honolulu area possible, close to everything. The beach, shopping malls, food, views of the mountains. The best view from the hotel is floor 8 or 9. Whenever you get off the elevator, turn left and all the room straight ahead against the back wall are going to be your best views. Believe me absolutely amazing. We had room 811, if anyone wants to steal that one and take my word for it. There excursion guide in the hotel was beyond helpful and gives u clear instructions on the best excursions possible. Money well spent on this trip. No complaints and I definitely will be coming back. I want to bring my mother and father along with the In-Laws lol. Thank you Hawaii for making this a trip I would never forget.

This hotel has recently been renovated with spacious room. Very convenient location with one block away from beach.Resort fee provide some benefits such as fee trolley and shop discounts but would like to see more benefits or reduced resort fee.The stand out for me is the hospitality of all hotel staff. Will definitely stay here again.

Location and our ocean view room awesome. Central to all of Waikiki. Walk a cross the street and you have access to the beach one block up!Not enough elevators and they are very slow. One of four has been replaced. Down escalator was broken for a couple of days.Trolley system was a joke. One day it wasn’t running at all. And we waited for over an hour one day. The hotel didn’t know why they were not running. We were given a gift certificate for our problem.Bed wasn’t comfortable and the pillows too hard. You are paying for the location. Best part besides the staff is the coffee shop!

Fantastic hotel, very modern and chic. The hotel is well located as it is a minutes walk to the beach and is surrounded by amazing restaurants, bars and glamorous shops. My room had amazing sea and beach front views. It was very modern and spacious.

Stylish, recently renovated and well designed rooms. Great pool though lots of kids in it .. one elevator was out of service causing queues and longish waits on occasion. Staff were warm, efficient and very friendly.

The Waikiki Beachcomber by Outrigger was an amazing place to stay! Very friendly and inviting. Clean and fresh hotel/resort. In the greatest location. The Beachcomber is in the middle of it all... shopping, beach access, restaurants and transportation, all on it’s doorstep.I would definitely recommend staying here, plenty of amenities including a pool, spa, cafe and convenience store/gift shop and more.The next time I come back to Hawaii (hopefully very soon), I will be coming back here to stay!P.S, if anyone knows what the music/artist is who is played in the lobby of the Beachcomber, please let me know. The ambient chill music is lovely and I’d love to find it and play it at home.Thanks!

Location was great and service was excellent. Pool and amenities were very easily accessible for trip. It was also booked during peak season in Waikiki so was grateful to stay here.

I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the room, particularly the bathroom floor and shower area. The mattress was not as comfortable as I had hoped for an 8.4 Star guest rated hotel. A few elevators were down, so the wait was extensive every time we had to use them. When asked where the nearest coffee shop was (not knowing there was a coffee bar in the lobby), a staff member tried to send us to Starbucks up the street. Weird. Probably wouldn’t opt to stay here again. I liked the Laylow hotel a lot better.

I found this place on blogs and they were all talking about how they really enjoyed the breakfast at the Maui. That was actually really big part of my decision why I chose here. But... When I got there something has been changed and we are only allowed to use those breakfast ticket at the café. Café food was just ok...

Its a great location to be in, all the trolleys starts just around the corner. The pool is just nice after a long day of outings. If you need the building is attached to a great brewery.Just a few steps from the hotel are some great bargain souvenir shops too.

Very comfortable and a quick walk to the beach. Shops everywhere and an excellent restaurant downstairs. All in all, a great stay. Staff was very attentive and cordial. Would definitely return.

One of my favorite places to stay in Waikiki! The rooms are always so clean and the front desk people are always so friendly and welcoming. The property is centrally located in the heart of Waikiki so walking to any part of the strip is very easy and convenient. Recent additions include Maui Brewing Company across the Lobby area and the cute Hawaiian Aroma Caffe. A must stay!

A mixed bag. The room was nice, much larger than the last one I stayed at in Honolulu. On the other hand, my boss s room had no lights in the main room, and the bedstead light was broken. Pool is still down, not that I would have had time to enjoy it. But the biggest pains where, 1) no microwave (we are headed for work long before the restaurant opens, so I had bought some food for breakfasts, and days I was too tired to go out ) 2)the laundry room is pretty abserb on price and the driers are worthless. This would not be a problem if you are just here for a few days, but we are here for three weeks.

This hotel is close to the beach, just across the road. It is located near lots of shops and the local market. The rooms were new. I stayed at this hotel during the 2019 SACNAS conference.

James the concierge was amazing. Assisted with all our planning and trip needs. Hotel room was very nice and loved the service. Drawback... the hotel elevator wont go up unless you have a working key.

Location is excellent right in the middle of all the shops. The rooms are clean and modern. The hotel smells great with an open and airy feel when you walk in. Balcony is also cool. The pool is small, but wasn’t a problem! I enjoyed my stay and will return.

Ive booked via Last Minute and can no longer fly to Hawaii due to Covid 19. Booking can not be changed or cancelled, I cant even get in touch with the resort to discuss my options! This is my last resort in the hope that someone will contact me!

Waikiki Beachcomber is minutes walk from the beach and is centrally located in Waikiki surrounded by classic shopping, street shops, and lots of dining options and convenience stores. The hotel is modern and fresh looking, and the rooms are large with a nice size balcony. We got an Ocean View King Size room. It was nice. The one downsize was that on the 14 floor, we could hear loud fans noise from the roof next door while sitting on the balcony. The noise is muted while the baloney door is closed. Friendly staff at the drop off, bell services, front desk, and house keeping. The internet works well. The TV is a large screen flat on the wall. Would definitely stay there again.

Get an ocean/beach view with the full glass sliding doors and a cradling king bed and you can lay in bed and watch the moon rise while listening to music from the restaurant below. Then when things quiet down the ocean waves cresting and rolling upon the shore will lull you to sleep! 1 block from zoo and park, upstairs from the restaurant and across the street from the beach. Perfect!

This honest review is based on first day service alone. Michael helped us at the front desk, and Robert helped us get settled in our rooms. Talk about hospitality personified. These gentlemen were FABULOUS! Both were super professional, courteous and helpful. They went out of their way to make check in the best experience weve ever had at a hotel. Michael provided great recommendations for things to do on our vacation. He provided local tips on how to make the best of our stay. Robert showed us nearly every room amenity and showed us how to operate everything in the room. This is pure Hawaiian hospitality. Best we received on 5+ trips to Oahu.

The common areas and our room were in great condition and nicely decorated. The pool and spa were also in great condition with ample chairs on the deck. The king room was spacious with room to place a rollaway beside the bed, which was pretty comfy. Biggest drawback was that there was always a few to several minutes of wait for an elevator. It seems like a property this size should have a couple more elevators running.

We absolutely loved our stay at Beachcomber! It was an amazing first experience to our honeymoon and first trip to Hawaii and Waikiki/Honolulu!! We definitely have already been talking about going back! It was breath taking, everyone was so friendly and so amazing. This made our honeymoon the best experience ever!!! I think this hotel must be recently updated. Our rooms were all new and perfect. Beds comfy and staff friendly. Location across the street from the beach on the main street in Waikiki. Occasional street noise but it didn’t bother us. Maui Brewery in the hotel served a delicious breakfast. Great stay!

Positive: The location was central, close to everything, I liked how the cafe and pool was connected, it was nice to grab breakfast and coffee from in the morning and be able to sit by the pool and enjoy the sunrise. The entrance was not crowded due to esculator.

Great location!!!!! But the hotel is an old infrastructure. The room doesnt have microwave and the bathroom is very small. The elevators are headaches. You have to wait for so long even though they have four. For the price you have to pay, I compared it to Sheraton and Moana surfrider and you will be surprised its only small difference.

This recently refurbished hotel in the centre of Waikiki was perfect for all our needs! Modern furnishings, great pool/spa area and cafes/bar within the hotel. So close to all the action of Waikiki too, with super friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!

The location of the Beachcomber is perfect for ease of access to the beach, the shops or restaurants. Just up the alley of Dukes Lane is Dukes Bar, a great place for an afternoon cocktail.

Great location, and very nice staff. I witnessed them handle a very belligerent guest and I was very impressed and felt I would be in good hands during my stay. I enjoyed my room even though I wasnt in it much. Was there for work but enjoyed the proximity of Waikiki.

Love the design, great location and nice amenities. Very beachy modern. You can take the pool towels to the beach and they even have coral safe sunblock in case you forget your own!

Facility was good, we enjoyed it. But the staff was not friendly at all. This all came up at the time of checkout when they charged us for valet. At the time of checkin when I asked if Valet was included then they said yes. But at the time of checkout they charged us $40 per day. Had they told me when I asked I would’ve looked for options. Plus, the manager was rude when I spoke about it. He kept saying the same thing again and again not listening to what I am trying to say. My point was “had I be informed when I asked I would’ve looked for options”, instead of listening he kept saying if I am refusing to pay (very rude behavior to be a manager)

Our stay at the Waikiki Beach Comber was great! The hotel is very close to the beach, shopping center and Macys. Very convenient !!Love it love it!!! Room is always clean. I love the room the bathroom is spacious and the bed is really comfortable. The only thing is its closer to the street and you can hear some siren in the morning and the cars but over all our experiences are all worth it. I will be back to this hotel in the future.

I’ve been to Hawaii plenty of times but I must say this hotel has been the absolute best! The views are breathtaking and the staff was amazing and very tentative. There was construction going on but they did make us aware and it didn’t bother us in anyway. Can not wait to be back!

Positive: Location was perfect to walk around and be a part of what makes Waikiki exciting. Negative: Yes, they have a security system setup where every adult in your party needs to have their hotel room key to show before going to the elevators to room. Elevator was also broken so there was a long line with people emptying bags to find keys and then wait

This hotel is in a great location in the middle and 1 block away from the beach. We had a new room, so great beds and decor and a peep of the sea. Nice little cafe for coffee, in the hotel but service a little slow, but depending how busy, maybe get a few more people making coffee in the busy summer season. Would definitely stay again.
