The wife and I stayed here this last week. Very nice room with a huge glass sliding door /wall. The A.C. was awesome.. the room was very clean, the shower had super hot water and good water pressure. The room had its own dedicated mini split A,C, with allowed me to really dial in the perfect temperature. They even made our room extra special for us as we were selebrating this trip.. I definitely suggest booking your stay here. The staff were amazing. Sorry I dont have names written down, but everyone went above and beyond all week... I am attaching some pics.. A+++++
My hubby and i wanted some alone time and booked a king suite here. It was beautiful and the view was Amazing. Small little walk to get to stores and restaurants but pretty nice. The pool.was warm. We enjoyed it. Staff was great! Very nice place to stay.
Really nice and great price. Some features are still closed due to covid. Onsite parking is 18 a day.
Beautiful property with an excellent staff. Rooms are spacious and very clean. The early arrival time for me was 5àm where I was given a guest key which gave me access to the lounge that had the business center, coffee, television, massage chair (free), numerous chairs, sofas and tables. The outside spacious patio allowed me to relax and meet many individuals from other countries. The decor is well appointed and luxurious. Ive stayed at other properties by Wyndham all great. The area of this property is not great in my opinion. There is not a restaurant on site, however if you love walking you can find places to eat.
I stayed in a room there last night and ot was okay. It was a small room. Tiny lanai (balcony). Too small for a chair. But the room served its purpose. It even came furnished with a few necessities such as laundry soap, dryer sheets and paper towels. Actually kinda nice when you add the small things. Wi-fi had a solid connection and it was clean. The room wouldve been great for guest who planned on going to the beach or picnic. Room came with a cooler. Mini fridge and a Kurig coffee maker. All around fairly good room.
We were upgraded to a presidential suite its lovely we appreciated having a washer and dryer and the view is spectacular
GF owns timeshare with Wyndham so to avoid losing her 2018 points we booked Hawaii last minute and stayed at this timeshare/hotel. Despite not paying anything for the hotel, I did price it out and it was $171 CAD per night during the period I was there. Location is about 10/15 minute walk to Waikiki beach, which is not bad because the walk is actually enjoyable and plus it is close enough to restaurants and other things you like to have close while on vacation. Public transportation is around the corner if you opt to travel like that, which I did for a few days. Anyway, the hotel is clean, quiet, and despite it being a timeshare they only asked us upon arrival about going to a meeting. We typically use the timeshare points in Florida where they have went so far as to deactivate our room keys to ensure we had to come to reception to allow them to again try to get us to come to a meeting... talking to you Wyndham Bonnet Creek, SMH. Anyway, the hotel does have a small pool and a game room. No bar or restaurant on site. Parking is not free. Anyway, the price is more than fair despite it being 10-15 minutes away from the beach.
Traveled there during spring break in March while all the covid stuff was happening! All the hotel amenities were canceled the day after we arrived, they closed the pool, the laundry room, the game room... It was upsetting to look out our window and see the neighboring hotel pools open to their guests! When asked about any kind of compensation since all the amenities were canceled, they refused to work out anything with us! For the price we paid we expected at least better customer service! They have a weekly housekeeping policy which was terrible.Location to the beach was good!
The front desk staff is always really rude at this property, but otherwise it’s a great place to stay.
We enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the hotel during my recent birthday visit to the island. Even though the hotel policy stated that check-in was at 4pm, Moana from the front desk was very welcoming and had a room ready for us a little earlier. The gentlemen at the visitors center were knowledgeable and helpful with directions and recommendations. The game room is a great touch for folks to wind-down after a long day of venturing around. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet.
Our stay at the Wyndham Royal Garden at Waikiki was great. Rooms were clean, staff friendly and courteous. The beach and everything else was walking distance. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.
Clean, new and comfortable rooms. Good gym and pool. The activities centre will try to sign you up for timeshare session in return for activity price discounts. No room service unless you are staying for more than 8 days. This is a timeshare, but front desk and staff are very friendly. Very close to waikiki beach and the beach walk. No free parking, valet parking is 32$.
I gave lower marks as the hotel closed the pool when most other hotels kept them open.... Otherwise we loved this place and would definitely come back!
Clean, kind, very hospitable every time I interacted with staff. My room was large and open much better then I had expected for what I paid. I wish I had booked two more night with them but I didn’t realize I would like it.
Stayed in a unit rented through AirBnB. Great location away from the all noise of Waikiki Beach. Our room had an incredible view and the bed was pretty comfortable. Amenities include a pool, gym, business center, and game room.Only complaint is the expensive parking that must be paid in cash. Other than that, I highly recommend.
Not renovated, middle of the range. Smelly like an old hotel, need to open the sliding door and suffer humidity and heat to vent the place. AC unit is noisy and remote has so many buttons with no instructions.Buttons on handheld phone do not work, useless as you have to use the keypad. Welcome 21st century!Cleaning is twice a week (!) unless you ask but they will only do minimum.Washing machines, some were dirty, dryers are s l o w.Away from the beach and most shuttles do not stop there.Tons of garbage down the street with flies and who knows what.Rooster on the loose will keep you singing day and night. And they claim we should be lucky. Hello! We saw better.
Needed to see doctor on Friday and stay the weekend in Honolulu. Covid19 lockdown was unforeseen but Royal Garden staff treated us royally right through to Sunday allowing us to check out at 6PM no extra charge!!!
The Royal Garden was a beautiful sweet smelling hotel. The floral fragrance hits you at the door. MY studio was updated and very beautiful. I had to ask for a blender bc it wasnt in the room but, it was no problem for the staff to assist. This hotel is situated nicely and is within walking distance from all high end stores and the beach
Had a fantastic stay here recently. The staff were very accommodating and we got the room at a very affordable price. The beds and amenities were comfortable and they had some small, but decent, gym and laundry rooms.Deserves to be at least a four star hotel. Will probably stay here again when I come back to Hawaii.Would definitely recommend.
The staff was great and the room was nice and clean. They have a pool table and foosball table but not a ping pong table like other Wyhdam resorts. I love the filter water system wich is great to refill our water bottles. No need for a rental car because everything is in walking distance. We did a lot of tours and was picked up two blocks away. I always rent a car and glad I didnt this time. Parking is $32 a day, and I used that money on having more fun. My only problem was when my room was clean, they did not replace my coffee pack otherwise they would have gotten 5, I am a coffee lover.
I booked this place through RCI and was very pleased with it. The room was comfortable, the staff was nice and helpful and there were nice amenities to make my stay more pleasant (like free filtered water that kept me from having to buy bottled water and washers and dryers to use for free). Its not on the beach but is still in a good area and not too far from the beach.
Great stay with helpful employees.
I honestly think they took an old hotel & slapped the Wyndham name on it. They fixed up the lobby & made it look really nice but the rooms are pretty sub-par. We came here on the discovery package of potentially becoming owners & this location has definitely been a let down. The bed is super hard too, which is great for my husband but terrible for my pregnant body.
Great service all around - thumbs up thumbs up and more thumbs up especially to Shane and John and teh ebntire Front Desk staff who are more than willing to assist with all the queries and needs to make my stay in the hotal and vacation to move 1 notch up the feel good scale.
We have always stayed in Wyndham resorts from Daytona Beach Florida to Hawaii now and I cant preach how amazing the staff is. Very Clean rooms. I love it. 100% would recommend.
Clean rooms and hotel, very attentive and responsive. Wish there was an stove in all the rooms. Love that a rice cooker is available. Wish the game room was open longer than 10pm.
Great place to stay. Comfortable room with great amenities and friendly staff.
Fantastic hospitality. Great room and amenities.
Very impressed with this property. Very posh reception area. Even though it was way back by the Ala Wai canal still a great location. Some our studios had realy nice canal views and the 1 bedroom was so spacious with fantastic views. They had more amenities than I expected. Loved that they had a sink, mini fridge with freezer section and a microwave. Even though no washer and dryer in our studio free use of washer and dryers on the one floor was wonderful. Also even though I brought my own soap so I didnt need it but I heard the front desk would give you free soap. The quiet garden lounge area is pleasant and would be a good place when it isnt so hot and humid out. (thank goodness for air conditioning in our rooms and lobby etc.)
Not the worst place to stay in Waikiki. Off the main drag a bit for some peace and quiet, and an easy escape to moiliili if youre planning to visit the rest of the island. But if youre mostly staying in Waikiki, its about as far from the beach as you can get without leaving the area entirely.
Nice views of Ala wai. There is some street parking at night for free and along Alawai but a challenge to find. The staff seems to care and will even give a late check out if asked in morning and available! I found resort/hotel relaxing at atmosphere because its a little away from the hustle and bustle of the busiest part of Waikiki so one is night fighting the huge tour busses and city busses. The bell and valet staff are so helpful with holding luggage and loading up car even when I did not pay the $30 over night parking! Overall very happy with this place. My family and I have stayed here at least 5 times now! Aloha
I loved my stay here! The staff are super friendly, the rooms are great, and the amenities cant be beat, especially the free laundry (all you have to pay for is the softener). Its also well-positioned in Waikiki such that most things in the area are walk-able, and tour companies can pick you up and drop you back off either right out front, or a block away. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Close to the park, not too far from the beach. Lounge, laundry and gym are a nice plus. Units are well furnished, maintained and clean. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Convenient location, nice little fitness center friendly staff
The property was in good condition--the bed and pillows were very comfortable. A little noisy on trash pickup day. The property and rooms were clean. The pool was very small for resort. The room and 4th floor amenities were great. Most of all the staff from check in, housekeeping and valet were great and helpful.
Royal Gardens Waikiki is clean, quiet, and within walking distance of shops. restaurants, and Waikiki Beach. The staff is friendly and accomodating, and I wasnt subjected to the usual high pressure to attend an owners update. Ive decided that no amount of freebies is worth the sales pitch. My only complaint about the property is that the plumbing in the shower wasnt that great. But as soon as I reported it to the desk they sent maintenance up to snake out the drain, and it was fine afterwards. Id definitely return to this resort!
We enjoyed our stay at Wyndham Gardens. Clean & comfortable with friendly staff. 10 minute walk into the heart of Waikiki.
I wasn’t aware it was a timeshare property. So they tried pretty hard to get me to a sales meeting. That being said they weren’t pushy about it at all about it and were very friendly. The concierge was extremely helpful finding me a reasonable priced rental car and there were tons of options for excursions. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, check-in and out were both a breeze and extremely quick. The room was spacious with a beautiful lanai with a great view of the city. A brisk walk to the shore with a ton of meal options within walking distance. All for an affordable price. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will be back soon.
Lets start with location which is good for Waikiki as long as your not looking for beachfront, or ocean views. You can jog easily at near by parks or the canal. Yes their is homeless and some very run down apartments all around, but that is the disease that is every major city in the United States. AC worked great throughout the property, everything else including rooms, cleanliness, etc., is good not great. It is one of the best values you find at 150 bucks a night with no additional or hidden fees.
Great customer service!! Standard studio a bit small but comfortable move the less. The whole staff was amazing. Some things are dated, like the laundry room, gym, have room and media room. Bathrooms are really small and towels were a bit rough. The pool is nothing to get excited about. The location was great in terms of waking to beach. My five stars is for the service,
Great friendly staff, very helpful in every way and wanting to resolve any issue you have if possible. Great place off the busy area of Waikiki main shopping area. With in minutes of walking distance to everything. Great location for ease of getting in and out of town without traffic or crowd of people traffic. Rooms arent huge but a good size amount, besides your in Hawaii why would you stay in your room other then get some rest, shower and get back out ASAP! to enjoy what the island has to offer. So much to do so much to see.
8 minute walk to the beach + excellent service + resort amenities (valet parking, concierge, billiards room, enclosed pool)
Very beautiful and well taken care of. Good central location to walk
The appearance of the hotel was beautiful. There were two things that I did not like was the check out time. It is extremely early for a hotel that has check-in time beginning at 4pm. Also concierge was too busy trying to sell timeshares to provide maps, and suggestions/information for tourist.
Wonderful valet staff. Ted is amazing. Very nice property.
Look closely at the tree behind my wife. What do you see.....
Unsure where to start.. when we got here we got a warm welcome. About 5 minutes later before we could even get on the elevator to head to our room, this lady with Wyndham forcing a time share on us. The pool is small and murky. Waited nearly 20 minutes for a towel for the pool. I had to start looking for myself. Water pressure is shit. Toilet and shower. The balcony is also ridiculously dirty and small. The noise from other rooms is also easily heard. Also, massage chair, just one... 25 floors and one chair. Way to go numb brains.
Staff were helpful and accommodating Good location Executive service
The hotel and the service was great. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed our 25th anniversary. Cant wait to go back.
I didnt like that there was no shuttle to or from the airport/pier. The hotel and personnel were very friendly and personable.
Even though we stayed at a privately owned studio through vrbo the staff was friendly and accomodating. It was a great location for walking to many shopping and eating spots as well as DeRussy beach park
The suite we booked was fantastic, but the concierge was extra pushy, trying to get us to sit through their timeshare schpiel despite us already having a timeshare. Also we were there for a week and cleaning staff didnt attempt to clean until the very last day of our stay. Despite all that, the location was great and they graciously allowed us to delay our checkout due to a later flight.
Very nice people. Best Wyndam experience we have had.
Overall a great experience. Great staff, great room and facilities. Moana is delightful. She’s extremely helpful and kind. Best hotel experience in Waikiki yet.
Friendly staff, clean with lots parking.
Game Room with a pool table and foosball table were nice to have.
Friendly staff. Safe, clean and perfect spacious rooms. Ice cream social, workout room, pool and valet parking. Valet is extra but street parking works too but have to find the right spot with no meter.
Its a nice place. They charge $36 per day for their mandatory valet parking which to me is a RIP off
Great customer service they really roll out the red carpet in how they treat guests. You can tell its an older remodel condo building. Its nicely done, rooms are clean, view was the Alawai. Though I wish it was the beach view, for how affordable this place is view is fine. Free wifi, game room, pool, jacuzzi, gym etc. loaded with amenities. I definitely would stay here again, 1 star deducted for location, its not in the greatest part of Waikiki. When you factor in price then what your getting is a 5 star vacation rental on a crummy street with a view of a canal that has at times sewage in it.Place is great its just the location is enough of a factor to take a star away.
Outstanding property . Had a wonderful time. Room was amazing - I simply said no to the timeshare talk and that was it . Loved it and will be back if we can get it on Expedia again
Small Studio style room, definitely got the job done. Even though this was a time share unit, there was zero hounding to invest into their time share properties. I respected the privacy during this stay; staff was always happy, chill, and professional.
Above average rooms, good facilities (the zen garden patio was my favorite) and great people!
Pretty, clean room although small. Rooms have a bed, chair, small closet with about a dozen hangers, tv on a dresser with 4 small drawers, kitchenette (sink, mini fridge, microwave and dishes) small table with 2 chairs and bathroom with small counter and generic shower/tub. No daily housekeeping. View of the city with balcony you can basically only stand on. We had a problem with our shower temperature that they werent able to fix, but offered to switch rooms. Staff is friendly, quick and accommodating.Street parking is metered outside the hotel, metering ends at 6:30pm. Vallet is $34/day. There is free street parking along the neighboring streets, but they are usually full. Lots of places within walking distance (5-20 minutes) including convenience stores, ABC, night and strip clubs and restaurants.Resort has an outdoor pool, game room with pool table, foosball and vending machines. I saw signs for a fitness center.
The local Expedia expert and the time share people sitting next to them are extremely pushy. The local Expedia expert booked us a snorkel trip for the next day and the bus never showed up. Imagine how frustrated I was. These people are a scam, stay away and book your excursions else where.
We booked an excursion with the local Expedia experts that the Wyndham and they scammed us. Booked us the wrong date for our excursion and screwed our plans for the other excursions we have already booked and paid for. It is a huge inconvenience and ruined our experience. They were also extremely pushy to buy a timeshare, it was just not a great experience don’t bother booking with the local Expedia “experts”.
- Rooms are very clean and lobby has fresh fragrance all the time.- very warm welcome- Hotel staff is super friendly and very helpful. The staff working at valet parking is very nice and helpful- parking is comparatively reasonable than other hotels in the area- mini kitchenette in all rooms- walking distance to beach, mall, and restaurants which was amazing!!It was a wonderful experience at Wyndham Garden Resort!
Loved the place. Everything we required were met. Very handy to main strip. Staff are very welcoming
Very friendly staff. The lobby is pretty nice and clean. The rooms and the hallway has the dark color decor. I personally like bright colors. LOVE the game room, laundry room, business office facility
The local Expedia expert scammed us by booking us a snorkel excursion... Imagine my surprise when the bus didnt show up after waking up at 5 am. Do not book anything with the local Expedia expert and be careful of the timeshare people sitting next to them. They are extremely pushy and its all a scamEDIT: I emailed the email below and it bounced. I guess Wydham has poor customer service as well.
Anyone working in the hospitality field should take notes and lessons from the front desk staff at the Royal Gardens Hotel. Staff super friendly and professional. I like it when customer service staff remember who you are and what your preferences are.Hotel is super clean and well maintained. Only knock on the place is that they dont have a restaurant.
Employees were great, I expected full kitchen and restaurant with breakfast.very unhappy expected better accommodations.
Nicely outfitted studio had all we needed for a stay-cation on Oahu. Large comfy bed, enough toiletries for our 3 day stay. No daily maid service but extra towels provided. Except for Wyndham update miscommunication, the staff were all friendly and responsive. Location is not in the heart of Waikiki which made it quieter. Still within walking distance of major shops and the International Market Place. Drive to zoo and aquarium and beaches on the east end of Waikiki or west to Ala Moana shopping center.
Friendly staff, spacious rooms, convenient location and no resorts fee.
Stayed here for my Anniversary August 25 - Sept. 2nd. The room was dirty and need to be renovated. The tub had stains and the shower curtains were dirty and ripped. The concierge staff is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. We purchased a dinner cruise at the concierge desk and was told to meet a bus to take us to the cruise. When we got to the bus, the bus attendant didnt have a reservation for us and we had to wait outside in the heat while the bus operator attempt to call Wyndam. They never reached anyone, therefore they allowed us to get on the bus but we were told to go to customer service before we can board the boat. We went to customer service and they could not find our reservation either. We had the receipt, but could not board the boat. Eventually after the boat was getting ready to leave, they allowed us to board the boat. We didnt have any seats when we boarded the boat. They had to find us a seat way in the back and put table settings on the table. We were very disappointed and voiced our experience to the hotel staff, managers and everyone at the concierge desk. We were told someone would call us and nobody ever called. They TOTALLY disregarded us. The cruise attendant told us it was the person who booked us, I believe his name was Dave to call them and give them our reservation once we paid. That NEVER happened.Do not buy anything from the Concierge desk. We will never use Wyndham Hotels again.
Good and bad for being away from popular and noisy area. Friendly staff. Nice Lobby, nice building exterior but the interior is on the older side but clean. It is good in general...
The rooms are really big with a great Lanai. The one off olohana street is a really great location. The only thing that we can complain about is theres no hot tub. Other than that the staff is very friendly and great. There is complementary washer and dryer on the 6 Floor too
Like city life. The kitchen is good except there is no stove. The staff is great. The room is luxurious and spacious. I would recommend staying here especially if you
I liked the staff. They were all very friendly and helpful including the desk staff, concierge, and bell desk. I did not like the drains. The sink and shower both did not drain properly. The sink and tub filled with water while using them.
Great location, modern rooms. Staff are friendly.
The room is comfortably spaced for 2. Everything we need is provided. If not, we can ask without hesitation. The concierge Christian was extremely helpful and friendly. He helped us book activities for our honeymoon.
Very nice and clean hotel with very friendly staff.
Front desk and bell staff very friendly, courtious and extremely helpful. Hotel is clean and very well taken care of. The rooms are nice and had a.full service kitchens. However there is no restaurant on property and its good walk to any restaurants. There is parking but $25 a day can add up. There is street parking available and surprisingly stalls open up.
A nice place to stay for a week or two.
This is a great place to stay! Right in Honolulu, walking distance from so much! Bus stops nearby as well with great transit system. Staff are phenominal with 24 hour desk service. And all staff extremely helpful. Highly recommend staying here! Great view of the city from wide balcony sliding glass door!
Great place and amazing service. Close to the beach and within walking distance of a lot of stores, restaurants, and entertainment. The only draw back was the pool. Its the size of a residential pool, and it closes early. But then again if you are in Hawaii its much more enjoyable to swim in the ocean.
Come here to get all the best parts of Waikiki away from the tourists and noise. We came here using our timeshare points. Very nice quiet hotel less than a ten minute walk to the beach. Super close to some of the best local food in the area. We did our 45 minute owner update and received a great discount off of snorkeling. We work remote so the business lounge with a massage chair was great. They have free laundry on the Fourth floor as well as a good gym. Best part of the entire place is the friendly staff! We absolutely loved talking to them and they were so accomodating to anything we needed.
Good value for your money. The kitchen is not really one, just a hotplate. Bathroom is tiny but you get free laundry use and a decent gym
In Waikiki. No beach. King bed. Very nice staff. Will try really hard to sell you a timeshare. Parking is valet, $35/day or try to find parking on your own. Also construction on hotel while we were there. Edited with one more star as there is no trouble with getting extra blankets etc and no bugs. Might edit again at end of trip.
Nice view of the city, and the location is perfect! I love jogging by the canal, and I enjoy the walk down to the beach. The concierge helps with just about everything you can do on the island!
Perfect location. Off the busy streets, but close enough to the beach and surrounding areas.
Stayed for 2 nights, from New Zealand, passing through to NY. Traveling with husband and an almost 2 y.o. daughter.Incredible helpful happy staff, amenities really good. Room clean & tidy, relatively modern decor, photos on website arent very flattering.Stayed in room 701 - Traffic a little noisy. But other wise great location, would stay again.
The staff were amazing the hotel rooms are nice and clean and the beds feel great, the view outside is wonderful!
Property was clean and staff was friendly, parking was absurdly expensive
