Please note that ALL STAFF AND GUESTS ARE REQUIRED TO ADHERE TO COVID GUIDELINES AND PRACTICES.Now on the the review. The resort is fantastic. It is just steps from the beach. The 2 onsite restaurants here both have delicious food. The pool is a little small but it doesnt matter when you have the ocean about 100 paces beyond that. The front desk staff, the bartenders, the restaurant waitstaff, and the pool staff each and every one of them has been excellent. We had an oceanfront suite with a lanai directly over the pool facing the ocean which gave us spectacular views especially at sunset. As well as a 2nd small lanai on the bedroom side of the suite. The bathroom was small and felt cramped but the rest of the suite was great. I feel comfortable in saying that if we come back here this is the only place we would want to stay. It is right in the middle of everything you need. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. An added bonus we found is that catamarans launch from the beach right outside the hotel. You can book them directly and theyre reasonably priced. Overall an A+ resort.
Staff and restaurants were great. The parking on our first day was a train wreck. Would definitely recommend staying her though. It’s close to everything
Amazing as always. Nice, friendly people work here. Very clean
Fantastic staff, had a room on the twelfth floor, maid was 83yrs young and was brilliant. She couldnt do enough for us.Sandwich bar on the ground floor going out to the beach was exceptional, best butties ever. Fresh and loads of food on them. Recommended!Food was delicious in the hotel as well. Will definitely stay there again.
#Grateful Definitely a 5-star hotel with amazing restaurant in the lobby security guards are 100% most employees have been working there for over 20 years if youre looking for the best experience when youre in Waikiki this is your place you will not be disappointed you will be treated like royalty and the county pull up until you leave
Absolutely amazing hotel. I was here for business and my stay here was out if this world. Staff was incredible, views were amazing (hotel is located right off the beach) easy beach access. You’re in the heart of it all and just a walk away from anything you need or want. My room was beautiful and clean (totally forgot to take pictures of it). Thank you for an amazing stay.
I loved our stay here. The Club 47 lounge offers free wine and beer, as well as food that we used as dinner. Its not a steak and potatoes dinner. We had burritos, home made chicken roll ups, fruit, veggies, soups, lots of variety. For breakfasts they had oatmeal with toppings, french toast, breakfast burritos, rice, fruits, yogurts and a few other things. Now, the property its self is a little dated. The hallway and elevators you can smell the age, rooms are a little better. We paid for an Partial Ocean view and were upgraded to an Ocean view room, which was still only a partial view between the hotels. Our room was facing the Cheesecake factory so we had a lot of noise from their roof fans. Duke and The Hula Grill downstairs is very convenient as well. Dukes has an AMAZING Hula pie, TRY IT! Overall, not a bad location. If you like a nicer/ higher class resort, I would try the Hyatt Resort two blocks down.
We stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort for our honeymoon for 6 days before jumping to another island. The highlights are the location and the hospitality. They sent a bottle of champagne to our room to celebrate and all staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet and meals at Dukes were great as well. The location is prime and within walking distance of anything you might want to explore. The room itself was somewhat dated, but we liked the balcony and it had a nice view of the ocean. The bathrooms were very small and didn’t have a full size tub but rather a half size. The reason I went with 4 stars and not 5 was the chairs by the pool. Despite the many signs that forbid chair reserving and note the belongings will be moved if you aren’t present, we had to stand in line 30 minutes before the pool opened in the morning to have a shot at a chair. People would rush in and put their towels down and not return for several hours. The pool attendant wouldn’t move anything which led to many afternoons where there were many empty seats but no chairs to sit on. With a packed beach this made it incredibly difficult to enjoy the sun.
We have been coming here for 20 years. We love it. Great location. People here are so nice. Dukes is downstairs. Yum.
Staycation with the wife here. Booked a Partial Ocean View, and received an upgrade to an Ocean View Room (woo!).It was really nice to enjoy the hotel and a quiet Waikiki without the tourists.Masks are required outside the rooms at all times in the hotel and there were hand sanitizer stations all over the property making us feel safe.Really enjoyed the evening with drinks at the lanai with a spectacular ocean view!
This is the only hotel we stay at, and we visit Hawaii once a year with our family. As for location you couldnt be in a better spot. You also have the most stunning view of Diamond head right outside your back door ( And off your balcony if you get ocean view/ocean front, or partial ocean view). From the beds, the homey/Hawaiian feel in the rooms, the room service, the cleaning service, the staff, the pool, the beach access, the views, the pool staff, dukes cafe, hula grill.. You cant beat it ! Cant wait for our next trip. And if you are like us who love shopping then that is right outside your hotel. You also have such an option for restraints located around the hotel as well, which for us is so important on a vacation. Thank you outrigger Waikiki Beach. You never disappoint.
After a six hour flight delay, we arrived at the hotel at 3:30 in the morning where we were greeted warmly by a porter who directed us to the front desk. The front desk person provided us with juice and moisten facecloth to freshen up. He was very efficient and has us checked in quickly. We loved the size of the room and the adjoining bathroom. The bed was comfortable resulting in a good night sleep. The hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is at the halfway point of the Waikiki strip, making it easy access to all restaurants and stores. The only issue is the closeness of adjacent hotels. The partial ocean view is just that, a partial view.
Beautiful hotel, in the heart of everything literally in the middle of all the shops and restaurants you can walk out of the lobby onto the street and have everything there at your finger tips or walk out the other side and right onto the beach. Best place to stay, very clean, room is perfect exactly what I need and the partial ocean view is amazing I can see the pool, beach and sunset from my room. Staff is very nice and helpful Im extremely satisfied with this hotel. I recently stayed at a 5 star world class all inclusive resort and was so disappointed the Outrigger is 100 times better I wish I came here sooner. I cant wait to come back and stay here again. I definitely recommend this hotel
Food was sub par but the view is stunning. The grounds are very nice and worth the visit for that.
Can never go wrong when you head downstairs to Dukes and enjoy the amazing sunsets
The property was very nice and right off the beach. It was within walking distance of several shopping centers. Staff was very friendly. Its important to note that Valet parking is $40 a day, Im not sure if they have general parking, and can be a little difficult to enter/exit depending on the time of day you are coming or going. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and is I make it back to Oahu, I would stay there again.
I had a late flight out as a courtesy they let me stay in the room without a extracharge, wonderful service
Excellent hotel very comfortable close to a lot of things and great food nearby.
We visited Dukes for their lunch buffet, based off of multiple recommendations. We were not disappointed. The food is fresh, the service on point & location beautiful.Prices are sooooo affordable, youd think they made a mistake. Beach front is an Aloha bonus. Then we shopped in their signature store, with our receipt we received $10% discount. Yea!!
Positive: Room was nice, good location Negative: View was horrid
Quality night in Waikiki, at Outrigger Blue Notes, with Anuhea and company. Spectacular show and top notch service throughout the evening.
As good as it gets. Nice rooms, world class customer service, incredible views, great food and perfect climate. Whats not to love!
The location is outstanding. Concierge - Mariam in particular was amazing at her job, she went over and above. The hotel is in need of a refurb, but was clean and tidy. I didnt like the plastic cups for Tea & Coffee it put a tacky cheapness to the hotel. Also on this we only got 1 teabag....
Outrigger is by far the best hotel we have stayed at. My daughter is always wanting to come back for staycation. The price is amazing and the ocean view and ocean front views are stunning. The staff are very respectful and customer service is always above excellent. They accommodated our last minute bookings and in-hotel requests. The spirit of Aloha is felt and present every time we are here.
4 stars overall, 5 stars for the customer service.....love the staff. The room and amenities were ok :) We were greeted with a friendly smile, a cool passion fruit infused towel and juice to refresh ourselves. The hotel smells so pretty, is very clean and is in the heart of shopping. Soft clean bed, lots of drawer space and a huge bathroom area....For us, this hotel location is too busy... we flew in after 4 days in Maui - had so much quiet beauty to enjoy, and a full ocean view....The limited water view here made me want to cry.... this city is too noisy for us.... We should have booked somewhere on the North Shore. If you want downtown fun lively shopping life- this is a great place.
Have enjoyed breakfast there every morning .
Be prepared for a lot of headaches and confusion while staying here. You may get double charged for check in, you may have your wifi you payed for suddenly taken away, or you may be charged $40 for water. Take your pick, its disaster of a hotel. If youre looking for a hotel close to the beach, pick a different one because youll end up with more problems and you definitely wont be enjoying the time youve paid so much for.
Amazing place must stay if youre wanting to really enjoy Waikiki beach. The staff so friendly, helpful great service.
Staff: All the chick-in and concierge staff we dealt with were very friendly and professional. They have a unique sit-down check-in experience that was easy and refreshing (literally!). Wait staff varied a bit but overall were very good. Cleaning staff were always very friendly. Overall the staff we interacted with seemed well-trained and pleasant, indicating to me that management is doing a good job with the staff.Facilities: Everything seemed to be in good repair and of mid- to high- quality. I wouldn’t call this a “luxury” property, but our standard ocean-view room on the 6th floor was more than adequate and had a great view. Outdoor areas were well-maintained. We rented a car and used the valet parking (your only option if you want to park there). The valet staff were always friendly and professional. I wasn’t sure what we’d get for $38/day but I felt better after having used the service.
Amazing service! I totally goofed and made my reservation for the wrong month. They were so helpful changing my date as I stood there with no current reservation and they got me a room and even honorees the same root rate! Even though I was stuck in my room for quarantine the view was still beautiful.
Had Thanksgiving dinner at Dukes Food, drink & service was excellent. Management of reservations and wait-list was terrible so they lost a star.
Had a fabulous time. The room was nice and clean. Being right on the beach and shopping all around was wonderful!
Great hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Close to everything and the beach and ocean is right there!
I am required to stay here as part of a quarantine period for the Navy and while the staff has been friendly, the food service has been severely lacking. I know this hotel is making a killing off the government putting us up here and yet the meals provided are not only small, but terrible in quality. Most meals consist of a small scoop of rice and a smaller portion of protein and flavorless vegetables. The worst so far was cold chili, rice, and a hot dog that was the color of hot cheetos. Very disappointed in the quality that I was told was very high before coming here. Do better and stop ripping off the taxpayers!
BEST location in Waikiki! Pic I posted is from a partial ocean view room. This is a very well run hotel. Rooms are a solid 4 star quality, highly functional and spacious. Staff are very friendly and on the ball. Dukes and Hula Grill inside the hotel which are both great restaurants. The beach here is the best stretch of beach around. It can vary greatly if you move down a hotel or two. Walk out the front door and you are in the middle of it all, everything you could want within a short walk. Yes, the rooms arent the most luxurious, but overall the hotel is a good bang for the buck and the rooms are nice and functional...and in the best location possible in Waikiki. You wont regret staying here. Pay for at least a partial ocean view and you wont be disappointed. Aloha!
So much fun. The instructors were fun and informative. The dolphins were entertaining.
Location Location Location, old hotel but clean and has variety of room types to suit your budget. Duke’s restaurant is at the lower lobby, great service and nice dinner live show.
We were lucky enough to be part of a work related reward and stayed at this wonderful hotel. I can’t say enough about the staff and service we enjoyed. We love this place and recommend you stay if given the opportunity.
Stayed here for Fathers Day weekend. Great Kamaaina specials so the family and I decided to take a staycation. You cant get a better location because its absolutely in the dead center of Waikiki right on the beach. I was in one of the oceanfront rooms which was decent in size and had spectacular unobstructed ocean views. Hotel is close to everything you need.. shops, restaurants, surf, etc. The staff was excellent and ready to accommodate even the smallest requests. Nothing bad to say about the experience other than the total disregard of social distancing from the other guests and the quarantine violators that were easily noticeable walking around. Both of which are not the fault of the hotel which is why I still gave them 5 stars. Once the quarantine is lifted, this would be a great choice for any visitor
We arrived after 14 hours of travel time and after taking showers, bugs were in our room. We requested to be moved (being tired from traveling) and they upgraded us to a one bedroom suite. Also, the refrigerator wasn’t working properly (is another reason they moved us). Overall, a decent hotel, but we will not be returning. By the way, Duke’s restaurant was much better for breakfast than the free option. Don’t spend more money on the free breakfast and go for the buffet at Duke’s while you’re there.
Best place to stay right on the beach. Dukes bar/restaurant downstairs. Right in the middle of everything. Just walk outside of your hotel and you have everything you need, especially right across the street the famous cheesecake factory, where you can get any type of food ever, and every type of cheesecake you could think of... A definite must do in Hawaii....
Enjoyed this place twice while we were on family vacation. Went the first and last day of our vacation.
Amazing service! I totally goofed and made my reservation for the wrong month. They were so helpful changing my date as I stood there with no current reservation and they got me a room and even honorees the same root rate! Even though I was stuck in my room for quarantine the view was still beautiful.
Great hotel, great deal, right on Waikiki beach! Get the breakfast and dinner meal plan and enjoy the amazing view of diamond head over looking Waikiki, it doesn’t get better than this.
Great food, great location. Drinks are sure to make everyone happy. They have local brews on tap. Brunch buffet is decent for the price but no Poke. Sushi was really good.
Almost perfect but we had some trouble sleeping due to noise from performers on the street. Even with the patio closed the break dancers blasting music would reach into the room. Other than that the staff was extremely helpful, the maids especially were super kind. The place was clean and we wanted for nothing. Would come back again.
Location was central and close to everything in Waikiki. Overall service and staff was good. The rooms are a bit dated but thats most of hotels in Honolulu. If you are ones to call it an early night, there is some noise you can hear from the street performers or live music up until around 10:30 or 11 pm, unless its raining and no ones out there. Not a fault of the hotel but just note.
Had a great time. This is really the perfect location if you want to be on the beach, but also want to be close to all the shopping, food, entertainment and night life.We could hear the waves from our 7th floor partial ocean view, even with the doors closed. We enjoyed that. Our view of the ocean, while only partial, was still very nice. Service was incredibly friendly and professional. We found the valet service extremely convenient as well, and we never had to wait more than a minute or so for our car.All the restaurants are wonderful with great food, drinks, and service as well as views of the beach.Really a great location and lovely hotel, but might be too noisy for those who are not into the night life. It quiets down around 10-11pm, but there is significant noise every day of the week, not just on the weekends. We actually had a loud group of break-dancers right across the road from us who danced for tips every night we were there, and unfortunately we could hear it all from our room. Thus, if you are looking for a quiet location, this may not be for you.But you could also splurge and get a full ocean view which should almost guarantee a quieter location. And finally, the pool is small and so is the spa. If thats important to you, you will likely be disappointed.Overall, this is a really lovely hotel in an ideal location.
Top location in the middle of everything. The views are amazing from ocean front room. Cleaner/maid are amazing and always so friendly when they see you. Bell desk and valet are amazing and attentive. Now for the negatives: dated hotel in general, water pressure and temperature in the shower is not acceptable we had cold dribbling showers at peak times often, the bathroom is tiny, towels are so small its like we have gone back in time, breakfast options are unimpressive and cater heavily to the Japanese tourist tastes. The worst was that you cannot settle a bill at the end of your stay, instead the credit card on file will be debited everyday by an online system e.g. daily resort fee and any extras. To avoid our credit card begin used we choose to pay upfront in cash for all resort fees and parking. The lifts are slow as there are only three. You can be left waiting at peak times for a uncomfortably long time.
Absolutely stunning views, especially at sunset. Only downside is there are just way too many people. While i was there it was basically shoulder to shoulder on the beach and could barely see the water because of the amount of surfers and body boarders out there. If you want great waves with fewer people head to the north shore. Take a trip around the island and pick your spot. Other than the crowds it was a great place to watch the sunset though.
Right on Waikiki Beach. We were able to upgrade to an Ocean view suite for a nominal price.
View from our standard double room with partial ocean view. Very nice for sunsets!Rooms are plain but neat, beds on the small side but comfortable. Great location on the beach in the middle of all the action. Service at Dukes Restaurant is stellar. Pool is a little on the small side but with the amazing beach - who cares!
We were at this property last week when the whole corona virus outbreak began... i had called directly ebery day to get an update to try n figure out if we should cancel and was told it was buisiness as usual... far from usua. THE BARS AND RESTRAUNTS INSIIDE CLOSED THE DAY WE ARRIVED.. even though area one were open.. by day 2 we told beaches would close ansd most shops aleready had.. by day 6 the pool was closed and all shops were closed .. .. staff was overly nice though food take was good.. just kind of bummed if i would have known everything was going to be closed i would have rescheduled for sure.. this was our third trip here and nothing like our first 2 Five star trips.. we paid 400. more for upgrade beachfront < which should have been comped> and thank gawd.. because the view was the only thing that kept me from total disapointment..... yes i would go back .. this is a great resort but for what we paid and what we got this time... kind of disapointing :(
Great little bar on the beach. Tropical drinks that are made with top end liquor and mixes that are unique. Must visit if you just want to chill and relax.
Its a beautiful historic resort. With its elegance and charm. Would be lovely to stay here and make memories. What would make this place even better would be for the hotel to hire the man with the beautiful singing voice who sits in a wheelchair every day across the street on the corner in the heat. He would be a wonderful addition to your lounge lobby for entertainment.
A brilliant hotel right in the heart of Waikiki Beach. Residing just above an assortment of shops and restaurants, you never have to leave the premises (although you should explore, of course)! The rooms have a more classic island feel to their theme, with wood and carpet featuring throughout. The facilities are excellent, with exclusive poolside access to guests connected directly to the beach as well as a complimentary trolley service around Waikiki. Definitely the only place I will stay upon return visits - for me, it is perfect!
This is an excellent location. Hula Grill has a nice lunch selection and even better views than Dukes which we love.
My family and I visit The Hawaiian Islands every year and we always choose the Outrigger Brand. This time we stayed at this location because of the convenience. It’s located in the heart of the Waikiki strip, you really don’t have to go far for anything! I gave 4 stars because, I enjoyed the Outrigger Reef much better, overall the “Reef” is just way more intimate as far as Customer Service and Hospitality and that is something me and my family are big on. But, I would absolutely recommend this Hotel to anyone! It was fun....
Outrigger is definitely doing right by this hotel! The perfect beach front location in the heart of Waikiki. Best value ever... the Voyager 47 Lounge! #AskMe #Travel #hawaiianddisneyvacations
An amazing place on Waikiki beach. Everyone was very hospitable, gave a free beach bag with our room, very clean, nice luxurious pool which has a shallow end and a deep end which is 9 feet deep which is awesome. The hotel restaurant was good but the breakfast buffet was a bit over priced. Overall, rooms were well air conditioned, balconys were nice, beds were comfortable with above par linens, overall a great place to stay, right in the middle of all the shops and restaurants. Would only stay here if I came back.
My husband and I came to this resort for our honeymoon. It was everything plus more. The hotel was conveniently located for great shopping. The Duke’s restaurant located inside of the hotel had great food and music. The staff was friendly and professional. The beach was beautiful. I would recommend anyone to visit this gem.
Older rooms, closet doors fell off tracks. View epic, staff excellent
I have stayed at the Outrigger three times and have always enjoyed my time here. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is unbeatable. However, during our stay, there were some issues with the slow elevators which after 10 days became rather annoying. The rooms are comfortable and clean but somewhat dated. The main downside was the resort tax/fee guests are charged at the end of the stay. This tax includes towel rental and the ‘free’ trolley bus. In total we had to pay US$700 for two rooms and 10 days in tax, unfortunately being hit with this upon check out puts a damper on an overall wonderful holiday.
Good place to stay for the first time visiters to Hawaii. Better to select ocean front rooms.
Excellent hotel! Easy walk to anywhere. Nice beach. Valet parking. You shouldnt have a rental car here anyway.
Beautiful day! Great crew! Fun times! Kept everyone on the boat even with the rough swells heading out away from shore. My SIL saw a sea turtle, but didnt share the sighting with us.
Nice breakfast but congested location and expensive hotel that offers little value for cost. Tourist trap that I won’t bother revisiting
Had an Oceanside room which I’d highly recommend because you can watch the sunset from your balcony even if the beach is crowded or the outdoor restaurant near Waikiki is full. The janitorial staff was very kind and cleaned quite quickly! International Marketplace is right across the street for catching an evening show, Kona coffee, eating, and shopping.
Well no upgrade. no voucher accepted for dinner although its from 12-8pm and I sat down at 4:50. Amount i paid for room and upgrade not worrth it.Room service was great because of them I put a 2 star. Call before booking the change affects us daily not happy
Our 2nd time in this resort. Extremely love it. Great food. Fantastic view. Nice interior design. See you next time
You would expect a very small room in New York or London but not Honolulu! . For a similar price, the Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt up the street are all better values. I gave them a 2 star because the location is great. If you don’t mind a room that’s the size of a suitcase this is the place for you.
Ive been staying at the outrigger Waikiki since I was a kid. Im always amazed at how friendly the staff are given how busy this area of Waikiki is year round. Staying at hotels can often be an impersonal experience but at the outrigger you really feel welcome. It makes for a much more enjoyable vacation. They have a done a good job keeping the hotel up to date while keeping the distinctive Hawaiian charm. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone looking to be on the beach in Waikiki.
Great location great restaurants great stores its really a spot that you would love to stay up because the beach is right there and everything that you would want to do in Waikiki is within a block
Had a really enjoyable stay here. Lovely clean comfortable rooms and a really convenient location. (Tip -Worth upgrading to the higher floors for a better sea view as theres also a lot less street noise) Maui brewery well worth a visit - great food and drink selection but my advice would be to give the Aroma cafe a miss, theres far better selection in any of the local cafes with much more value for money.
Beach and location is perfect!. Surf was great. Staff was fun and helpful at all times.Place is showing its age but in good shape.
Location of this place is best of both worlds. It is right on the bustling Wakkei ocean front street filled with restaurants and other shops, and at the same time the ocean front gives a beautiful quiet world. Make sure you choose a room with ocean front view and at a high floor. The balcony is very private and the views are fantastic
Outrigger Hotels and Resorts offered first responders and healthcare workers free hotel stays during covid 19. Took advantage of this and received a full beachfront suite to spend our weekend staycation. Thank you, Outrigger!!
Central hotel on waikiki beach front. Very busy and popular restaurant and bar. Small pool area but a good stretch of public beach directly outside. Not the swankiest of the hotels in that area but good sized bedrooms and small balcony.
This hotel is very comfortable, every part of facility is convenient, no need ask, even I was first came here. Absolutely, everyone is nice. And the location is perfect that is central of the Waikiki. Very close to the beach, every afternoon I enjoyed the sunset at cozy chair. So good to vacation.
We stayed here for 3 nights for our honeymoon and enjoyed our stay. Its in a great location and right in the middle of everything. We got an oceanfront room and the view was absolutely incredible. Driving to/from the resort is tough because of how crowded the area is and you have to get your car valeted each time you come/go which is fine but if its busy you can definitely wait awhile. If youre only staying in Waikiki, you dont really need a car. The staff at the resort was extremely friendly and made us feel really special and welcomed. Were really happy with our stay and would definitely come back again!
Been to Hawaii 4 times and found the outrigger beach was nice. I do feel the hotel could do with some renovations as the rooms and facilities are old. Overall extremely friendly, most accommodating, awesomely located hotel.
The resort is great. The location is great. Please know the “king” bed is actually a queen bed. That’s the biggest they have in this resort in Hawaii as per the check in desk.
Great location, slightly old building.
Very good and very clear water
Great service. Great location. Great food. Ive stayed here twice now and it is great if you dont mind the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. This isnt the place to go for a more secluded Hawaiian vacation. But it is right on the beach. Dont even have to cross a road.
Had an awesome meal at Dukes! Great recommendation from the waiter for the Opah fish dish!
It was a relaxing stay looking out from our beautiful ocean view room.
Location is right in middle of Waikiki! Service is prompt and friendly. We stayed many times. Each time was a vacation on vacation. If you want to treat yourself, stay here. Beds are comfortable. Beach is right out back. Shopping is right out front. I highly recommend.
Simply put if this was my first time on this Island you need to book your stay here. It’s perfect as far as location goes and there’s tons of shopping if you get bored Chilling at Waikiki beach. Which I think is impossible to do but you never know. The staff at the hotel are fantastic and there was one special face of the company “Mae”.She went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and even made friends with my daughter. She was awesome and when it was time for us to leave luckily she caught us on our way out and we were able to say goodbye.Everyone was so nice here. We are not needy hotel guests so I don’t like leaving any reviews really but this place was so magical I feel like it was my duty to let others know.So if you are in doubt as far as where to stay please trust me and try it you won’t be sorry.-Brandon
2020 was our 16th stay since our first experience in 1998. There are many reasons we keep coming back - starting with the tremendous staff at the Outrigger who make us feel at home and special as we visit their paradise! We have booked 3 weeks for 2021 and hope for many more years of enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Waikiki from the wonderful base of the Outrigger! Highly recommend!
Locals want pool and jacuzzi! We can go beach anytime, anywhere. The jacuzzi was closed and pool hours were 11-6. Terrible times. Try 8or9 am to 8pm. Theres no lifeguard so it shouldnt cost much to keep a towel attendant around.
WOW! This was not our first trip to Hawaii, Oahu or Waikiki Beach, but it was our first stay at the Outrigger Resort. After having vacationed here this past week, we won’t be staying anywhere else! The rooms were incredible, fantastic views and the location cannot be beat. Aside from these great attributes, the customer service here is unsurpassed! We were consistently greeted by the friendly staff by our names, received genuine hugs and smiles and even a gift on our departure! Incredible! We would especially like to recognize Ricky, Lei, and Karissa. We were able to see them regularly - either at the front desk or in the Voyager 47 Club during breakfast or dinner. I would highly recommend the club for food and drinks. The food is incredible and keeps you from needing reservations to off site restaurants, which are everywhere around you. Dukes is directly downstairs and Tony works at the main bar, makes an incredible Coconut Mojito, and is super personable - go say Aloha! Thank you ALL for making our winter vacation one of many to remember at the Outrigger!!! David Stone & Kevin Donochod in North Carolina
Great location and clean rooms. This hotel also has some great dining and live entertainment options as well and is set on a beautiful beach great for swimming and surfing complete with a water sports centre.
Great beach, although too crowded. But its a great place to learn surfing for the first time. The waves are just right, and you learn how to balance on surf easly. They also taking pictures of your first experience on the surf, with gopro and you can buy them. And if you walk down the beach you will see lots of places that offers surfing lessons, so it should not be too long to begin. If you are looking for first surfing lesson, this beach would be a perfect choice!
