Off site management was very tiresome. Was given a room that was not what we paid for. It did not have an ocean view. Had to change rooms half way through stay. People were very nice, but not on site. Office was two blocks away from building. Had to call for repairs and they were very good. We have stayed in this building several times, but were always served by the staff at the front desk, not off site.
We chose this room for its beautiful Ocean view & it is basically on Waikiki beach. We loved sitting on the lanai. The room was clean & no bugs but the bed setup are 2 twins beds. The 11th floor open hallway has a great view of Diamond Head crater. Even thoughthe room is in an Waikiki Shore by Outrigger it is looked after be the Regency 1/2 block away which is where your luggage storage is located if needed. U get to use Outriggers pool & fitness area next door plus get as many beach towels as needed. We would book this room again
The view was amazing. However the odor in the room was unbearable. It honestly smelled like urine. We had the blankets switched out because they smelled like urine. Then we called again to complain that the couches smelled like urine to. The manager offered a new room however I was already about to check out. It’s sad that they didn’t offer that option first or even had that room available online when it clearly was not clean. Sheets smelled. Fan was full of dust.
Very Noisy, park next door has workers early am with truck noisy and beeping, and the park is noisy all nite long, no more sandy shore line too many rock so narrow poor beach due to ocean rising, rooms are way too bright at nite (old blinds and no blinds)location is good for surfing but cant sleep at nite ...very rocky shoreline so hard to go into water to swim, gotta walk a few blocks towards Hilton or Diamond HeadWaikiki is great and Biki bikes are funbeach by Diamond Head is still good so other locations better if you wish to have a beach or the Hiltonloved the surf school Gone SurfingABC stores are handy for quite meals
We stayed at Waikiki Shore next door to the Outrigger Reef, so the location was fine, walking distance to most places in town. The service was less than ordinary and the condition of the apartment didnt match the 5 star price tag. We waited 30 minutes at 9.30pm for check in, even after arrival time notification. No parking spaces available even though most of the lower car park was empty ... the only option was a $40 per night space at the Reef .... not a smooth start. Day 2 of 5 the fridge stopped working. Maintenance man 1 turned the temp up then left with lets see how that goes ... maintenance man 2 came armed with a screwdriver and paint brush ... lets see how that goes ... maintenance man 3 took photos and left ... finally on our last day a service technician arrives pulls the fridge out, turns it off and on and leaves. Now I know things break down occasionally, but no offer of a small fridge, ice ...nothing, and when I asked where I could get ice for the milk and other items from perishing it was like Id asked him to levitate. No update on the fridge status or solution offered .... the fold up bed was in such poor condition the poor soul allocated there spent two days with a sore back and another 2 nights on the lounge. All day cooking smells from the steak shack below, broken balcony furniture, poor Wifi, irregular hot water and limited eating utensils didnt reflect the customer service or accomm quality wed paid for. Next time well find somewhere else
Bedbugs!I have visited these condos three times over the past 6 years. The condos are all privately owned and managed by outrigger, so some rooms are better than others. There are usually small issues with appliances not working, plumbing issues and outdated/grimy rooms, not a big deal and the location is excellent. On our recent visit we had the unfortunate experience of finding bed bugs in our room. These things happen and obviously no hotel would want their guests to experience bed bugs bites. The management response to our concerns were absolutely appalling. We were treated like liars, the Outrigger management maintained that there were no bed bugs, despite the evidence of many bites; only on my wife and I who were in the bed, thankfully our kids on the pull out sofa were not affected. Managements initial response to our report of bed bugs was to advise they would send someone to investigate, however it later unfolded (after more bites) that they had simply changed the sheets and vacuumed. After my second report of bed bugs they advised security would need to investigate (though this process was not followed after the first report). I then investigated myself and found a bed bug on the valance. Security came to the room and couldn’t find any bed bugs so housekeeping were sent to change the sheets again. I protested and advised them not to simply change the sheets as we wouldn’t stay in the room and the next guests would just get bitten without some proper action being taken. The manager was hostile to our needs and insisted there was no evidence of bed bugs. My wife then found another bed bug and we captured it (with the hotel desk clerk in the room). Even after being presented with a bed bug in a plastic bag the hotel manager still told us there was no bed bugs. This was a terrible experience and I would not recommend staying with this company, the hotel manager & staff could use some further training in customer service. Full disclosure, they moved our room and offered a discount on our stay, this did not by any means make up for the time lost in our holiday and the terrible way we were treated.
We had a wonderful time. Beautiful view and great spot on the beach. Bonus is that we could use the Outrigger Reef Pool. Would definately stay again. Best deal for a ocean view.
Great location, easy walking distance to restaurants and shops and right on the beachfront. The cleaning fee is a rip off. We had fresh towels and sheets but the apartment was coated in a thick layer of dust on almost every surface, the floor was gritty and there were receipts and papers from previous guests under furniture,
The location can’t be beat—right on the beach. Plus, we booked with Outrigger so we got to use their hotel pool which was literally right next door. We had a condo on the top floor and certain things had been updated (second bathroom added, granite countertops, new cabinets) the unit really needed a new sofa bed. That bed was our only real complaint. Would stay here again. GREAT location
Location is awesome. Close to shops and dining and takeouts and trolleys. Really clean apartment. Everything you need. Gre as views of the ocean and park.
There was no check in desk when we walked in the gentleman who came to sign us in after a call was very nice and helpful liked the unit s lot and checking out you made a phone call and left keys on table. I think there should be a reception desk travel a lot and never had this situation before otherwise as I said was pleased with unit
This olace is awesome!! Try the Mai Tai in the pineapple...you deserve it!
Some great possitives. Fabulous location, large rooms with everything you need.Downside is the mad system of checking in. You have to do it somewhere else? If you need anything you have to call and they come from the other location when they can. Also no amenities, pool (although you can use the resort next door), gym, etc.The room (and building) are old and outdated, but everything works. If youre prepared to put up with the downsides, the price and location right on the beach, make up for it.
Excellent location, friendly staff, older but clean and well equipped for a comfortable stay, next to a very nice beach, can enjoy the amenities of the next-door hotel (pool etc.). Overall a great deal !! the cleaning fee on the studio was a little on the high side.
We chose this condo to have the space, magical location and facilities available for a family of six. We werent disappointed. Right on the beach with fantastic views of both the beach and Waikiki metropolis (we had an end apartment), we pinched ourselves about how good a spot we were in. Its not everyday, at least for us, that you get to stay in a condo worth a couple mill. There was some street noise with windows / doors facing that way open, but thats to be expected in a bustling place like this. Close them and its quiet again. It was peaceful on the balcony side and it was huge area which was great for everybody to take in the sunsets and Hilton fireworks. A very private spot in the sense that the side you face out is toward Fort Derussy and parklands. The room itself was furnished nicely, although not hugely modern it was quite comfortable and large kitchen appliances were stainless, family sized and very good. The condo itself could do with a refurbishment, but for a stay which is more about taking in your surroundings it was more than adequate. Next door easy access to Outrigger Reef facilities was great, particularly when we could retreat to the tranquility of our condo once wed had our fill of resort benefits. Standard beds are very comfortable, but with our extended family having to use the sofa-bed and a rollout single bed (which was a pleasant surprise), those werent the greatest. Overall we were extremely pleased with everything and would happily return!
Great condo on the beach. Spacious and comfy. Excellent location.
Great place to stay right on beach, rental cars on site. Local feel. Next to place to eat and shop. Great Choice........
This is the second time we have stayed at waikiki shore but first time through outrigger. I think this is the better way to stay. You get to have use of all the facilities of the Outrigger Reef, which is literally next door. We stayed in a studio which is larger than a hotel room, had kitchen facilities, a full size fridge and washer and dryer. All the detergent, washing powder, toiletries were all supplied .The balcony is quite large and had uninterrupted view of beach towards the Hilton, perfect for watching the Friday night fireworks as well as the gorgeous sunsets daily. Our stay did not include daily housekeeping, which i actually preferred, but if we needed anything at all like fresh towels or sheets, more washing powder it was a phone call away and delivered promptly to your room. Could use the pool and towels from the outrigger next door and there is direct access to the outrigger reef from the Waikiki shore. Lewers street and the ABC shop close by and it is a very quick walk into waikiki centre. There are bus stops just return trip pass lasts 24 hrs and costs$5.50 so very cost effective. Due to this information we caught the bus over to Kaihlua beach, which took 45 minutes and we spent a lovely day at a great beachWould definitely return again as this is great value and lets you self cater.
Guys were polite and friendly. We got an umbrella and floating mat. Great deals.
Very big apartment for our family and Good sea view and good location, can see the fireworks at balcony of the apartment. Although there were few lights not working but overall is good . Recommend for everyone.
Location and views are excellent. Can walk everywhere
Worst hotel experience ever. This is NOT a hotel. It is a condo with a few units that are rented out. They have to call someone from the hotel next door to come check you in. 20 minutes later a bellman shows up to take me to my room. We walk in and he hands me a 2 ring set with several keys an fobs on it. Then says theres a $175 deposit on the keys and if I lose them it will cost $175to replace them. Next he says he needs my credit card. I said for incidentals because it was prepaid through Hotels.com. He said no its for the $220 CLEANING FEE for my stay. With no choice I give him my card. having just travelled from the east coast to Hawaii, I wanted to take a nap. The king bed turned out to be 2 terrible wire frame mattresses coved with a sheet. I went to close the blinds and they dont work at all. So a wall of windows with no blinds to shut and a wire frame bed. Terrible nights sleep of tossing and turning with the mattress. I woke up as I was falling through the 2 mattresses as they arent even connected!I left in the morning for a day of meeting and get back to my room to see the bed exactly as I left it, a part and the sheets in a pile. I called the desk and was told they its a condo and they do not make beds nor do they change the sheets...even with the $220 cleaning fee!NO service, disinterested staff, terrible beds, outrageous fees. This condo shouldnt even be offered for rent!
The condo we had was really nice. I give the place, as a whole, 4 stars only because each condo is individually owned and, therefore, different. The staff was awesome and very helpful in all respects. I would definitely recommend the place based on our experience and condo.
Great place to stay. Our room had recently been refurbished. Spectacular views, close to the heart of Waikiki.
I liked the nice view and location. We could have coffee every morning without going to buy.I also could wash my clothes. The staff was nice. However it was difficult to take shower since the shower head didn’t removable.
The location of this condominium style hotel was pretty much perfect. You walk out the back door and you are standing on the beach. The sand literally comes to the door. After that though it is pretty average or below. The front desk is in another hotel a block and a half away, so check in was difficult. They did not have daily cleaning service so when the garbage was full or you needed towels you had to call the front desk and hopefully they had not come to your building yet. The room was nice with a great view, but the mattress left something to be desired. The staff didnt volunteer the basic information such as WiFi passwords or how to go about navigating the building. All in all it was a good value but I do not believe I will stay here again.
This hotel looked great from the pictures and description, and for the most part it was a great hotel. The downside was that the front desk and check in was located in another building and that was not explained anywhere before our arrival. So checking in was a hassle. There also was no maid service and the only thing they did was bring fresh towels if you called and asked for them. But, on a positive the view was wonderful and you couldnt be any closer to the beach.Great view, great location and a great value.
Nice view mahalo
Check in was harder than I thought, but as soon as we looked ot the window in our room, it was all better. This was close to all the action, so happy we picked this place
Nice big studio. Balcony with comfy chairs. Cool inside and a beautiful ocean beach view. Great kitchen and eating areas, laundry machine. Great swimming and entertainment facilities on site. Plus free wifi
Had the best room PH06. Great views, comfortable bed, location was excellent, fairly quiet compared to other side of waikiki
The view was amazing and they had ice cubes already in the freezer
Loved the location. Couldnt have asked for a better view.
Great place to stay right on wakiki beach. See Friday night fire works from our room will stay again
The Waikiki shore features beachfront Waikiki condo rentals with kitchens, washer/ dryer, and internet access. A prime location with beach access, restaurants and shops. The rooms here are clean and have great views on selected units.
The room was over priced and not what I had expected. Trying to find the place to check in was difficult. When we did find it, we had to drop someone off to check in while we circled the block.
This hotel is located in the heart of the Waikiki beach area. Hotel sits right on the beach and is convenient to great Honolulu restaurants and clubs, as well as great shopping.
Beautiful ocean view, room is really nice.
Terrific place, friendly people who were helpful and informative.
I have stayed at Castle Waikiki Shore twice. The rooms have always been comfortable and clean. The rooms are not Luxurious, but your there to see Hawaii not stay in the room. If you want to swim at a pool you can use the one next door at the Outrigger Reef. Having the washer and dryer as well as the kitchenette was great. You dont have to take as many clothes and we bought groceries at the Safeway on Pali Hwy on the way from the airport. This saves alot of money when you dont have to eat out every meal. Most room balconies are to the west overlooking Ft DeRussy. Unless you get an Ocean Front room. If you want a view request a room on the 5th or above. Great to see the fireworks from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The only thing that I would say has to be improved would be their internet access. Other than that it is a great place to stay.
Nothing special
Its
Room is tiny, bathroom isnt great but the view is mint
The room had a great view of the ocean.
Trevligt hotell med utmärkt kök, stora garderober, stora härliga ytor i övrigt.
