Nice fenced off leash dog park here. Thanks Shelton
Loved it me and my daughter had are visit thier and it was a blast
Nice park to have a lunch break... We got burgers from the little drive in next door and ate them at this park. It was very nice
Weve been coming to our park for 20 years. 10 mins of toys time or 3 hrs for family gatherings, the large covered shelter with a little stage area and accessibility ramp and huge toy area, always works. The newer remodel for the b-ball court and trail are a nice update. We always do a quick once over of the toy area, shelter, bathrooms, and pretty much anywhere the kids will be, for things that are nasty or dangerous that might have been left by other folks as we do with all public areas.Fixtures in the bathroom were dirty/used a lot for being 11am on a Saturday. Maybe call schedule the cleaning for Friday afternoon when there are paying rentals on the weekend?
Nice local park with some picnic tables and a large covered area. Playground equipment for children
Fun and exciting place for not just kids, but kids at heart to.
Nice place and fun for the kids! No dogs allowed though.
Good leashe free dog park there
Great place to take the kids.
Good place to share a meal outside. And if you have kids, they have a great play area.
Much needed restroom facilities there. Especially when there wasnt much choice. It is a lovely park but no one there due to the fact that it was raining heavily. It would be a good stop for families to stop and to let kids stretch and rum around .
Its great. 2 out of the 4 times weve been there i had to watch kids extra close due to men hanging out without kids...sheltoneites or what ever wed call them.
Nice park to sit and enjoy a treat from DQ
The wood is really oily, and slides get HOT. I also really wish there was better padding under toys.
Nice place. Needs more picnic tables.
Nice, clean, peaceful across from the railroad tracks.
Great park for kids to play at
Great park, lots to do.
Nice and clean most of the time my grandkids like this park to play at
Bathroom need fixed toilets need fixed an the smell
Awesome wood. I wish its twin (Penny Playground, Chehalis) was still standing!
I love this park super cool park my nefews call it the castle park. Almost Elmwood very fun.
Nice local park, kids play area
Perfect for kids and a picnic
Park was nice!Very concerned about homeless guy there watching the play ground.Just be aware of your kids and where there at.We didnt know this area at all.The play area has lots of hidden spots for kids to hid.Fun for kids, just be alert with surroundings
The playground is something out of the ordinary
Took my grandson and he had lots of fun there
Great for kids, plenty of space! There are no pets allowed in the primary park but there is a pet area on the far side of the property. Great for about 1 to 2 hours of enjoying the day with family.
The homeless drug crowd frequent this park a little to much for my liking but they usually stay in the back and dont bother anyone. It is getting ready for some renovations but my kids love to play there and refere to it lovingly as the castle park.
Larger, in town & well kept local park. Awesome playground area, Absolutely great for kids. Moderate parking, Bathrooms on site, dog park attached, small gazebo area for gatherings, etc.
Nice small small park good to take small kids to
Epic place for young kids to exercise. Well done Shelton!
Good play area for kids. Off leash dog area. Covered area for picnic. Right in town.
Had a nice time. Was very crowded when we went but everyone was courteous and friendly. Had a fantastic time with the children. Fed a homeless guy and thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
It has a really nice play area for the kids, and its perfect for a picnic. There is a small dog park joined with it, and there is also an area for parties. The only thing I didnt like about it, though, was the bathrooms. They could use some more maintenance.
Popular for kids. Has a take a book leave a book in front and a dog park in corner. Lovely place for events.
Nice park in downtown Shelton with parking, play structures restrooms and lots of green grass for kids. Separate area for dogs to run loose, so thats nice. Available for group use/rental thru city offices.
Took my dogs to the doggy park. It was a little muddy but they seemed to like it!
Well kept park for adults and especially children. Very nice experience.
Whoever built this, has an amazing imagination of a child. We all loved it! Thank you!
I sure hope they do more music in the park. That was really nice.
Great park. If the bathrooms were open more often I would give them a better rating. Difficult to take kids without restrooms.
Kneeland park is a place for all ages even adults have fun there
I have played in this park for 50 yrs. I took my daughter to play in this park when she was a child. Now, I love to spend time with my 2 grandsons at Kneeland Park. Ive watched it grow and change over the yrs. Its a wonderful place to take the kids when its not raining. The town gathered funds together by taking donations and built an awesome playground for the children - the best Ive ever seen, outside of theme parks. The park has a covered kitchen for reunions and such. It has a specific, fenced off area for people with dogs to picnic. It is a day park - no camping or overnight stays. There are nice, tall trees that provide shade of needed. During the summer, there is a program called music in the park - where local bands play live music for anyone who wants to come and watch them play. All in all, its a great park to take the kids for the day.
Nice park to bring family and have a picnic. Basketball court, bathrooms, play areas, picinic area, clean and as far as I know no needles or drug activity.
Would be nice to have a little shade at this park. But overall its a nice size and easy to get to
Nice place to visit if I had lil people to enjoy play area!
A well maintained park with bathrooms, a little shed fit for events or maybe a birthday party, a main little trail going around the perimeter of the place, a field, and huge wooden big-toys for kids to use. Swings, including a tire swing behind it. Its easy to notice from normal traffic, as its on Turner Avenue and right next to Highway 3. A Shelton highlight.
The park is always a fun place to take my Grandson is loves going there when ever we can
It was very nice, restrooms where clean the park is kid friendly with it play area, and we had a party in the covered area .
Best park in Shelton. The only thing people should know is that the bathrooms are often locked and Im not aware of a schedule for when they do open. Theres also a decent sized dog park here.
Nice park to visit but you have to be careful of the homeless that camp around.
The opening from the street directly into the play area is a very bad idea Esp. As from inside the park parents cant see it. You cant see your kids from several angles as the play area is too dark and concentrated. The old park had many amenities far superior. Less concentrated, making it easier to spot your children and the people around them. Bigger, better swings, slides, merry- go - rounds. And even a pool! Ok I get it with the pool. But really evrything?
Fun local park! A great place for families
Great place to bring the kids and have a picnic. They also have a off-leash dog area in the park. There are restrooms and a small half court basketball hoop. So check the paper and see when theres an event at the park and you will be amazed at the food they sell.
Very nice park for a small, rural town
Always a place my kids like to go. Dogs like the dog park too. Occasionally a few undesirable types around but they dont seem to bother anyone, but all the same I keep a cautious eye on where the kids are.
Love it when the gardens show is there. Perfect place for weddings as well as baby showers
Its a great place for kids but not dog friendly.
Ots the only nice park in town, but there are lots of rats. My daughter has drug out dead and dying rats a few times from within the main wooden area. Needs some sort of pest protection. Its pretty disturbing. But like in said, still the best park in town.
Cute park for a vendor and craft show. If I lived in Shelton I would probably go there.
The park itself was nice but the crowds that gather near the children and their families, are concerning
The concert by Hillary Scott and AJ Gennero was very good and the park is beautiful! The playground for kids (and some adults) is amazing.
Awesome little park, good for a quick stop on the way through or a good place to relax and let the kids burn off some of their energy.
Took the grandkids for a picnic and play. Very small but they had fun.
Nice place for kids to play and interact with other kids. A fair amount of open lawn. Relatively secure.
Great place yo go with the kids and play for a few minutes!
Been going here my whole life.
Great play stucture, not what I would comsider safe surroundings...i would definitely look for needles on ground before allowing children to play here. :(
Play equipment is dirty and full of garbage. The wood style is outdated and has metal slides that will melt your child before they reach the bottom. The large grass area is nice.
Nice lawn, large big toy, fenced, b-ball hoop, amphitheater. All in all a decent lil park.
Its a large park with a big play area for small children would recommend taking ages 1 through 8.
Great place for large family gatherings. Easy to locate
Love this place every since i was a child
So many childhood memories from this park. From bbqs and concerts, to testing out my ninga skills on my own obstacle course, this place is truly meant for all ages. I still have the memory of slamming my face on the parallel bar when I was 7. Ahh good times!
Fun parkTablesBasketballWalking pathPlayground with age appropriate areasLots of parkingIn townClean
3 stars because the bathrooms are always dirty, and sometimes locked. The toys need remodeled. There dry and full of slivers. My kids enjoy the slides and swings mostly. Some parts of the toys are falling apart and need fixed. There is a covered area with picnic tables and a basketball hoop.
Good place for kids to play. Couple picnic tables. Bathrooms are HORRIBLE...have wipes and toilet paper
So many different places for the kids to climb, jump, balance, swing, and use their imaginations! Even adults can play with their kids on it too without feeling like they are too much for the play equipment
My 7 year old loves the playground here. We stop when I pick her up for the weekend. Lots of climbing options. Gravel under equipment. Few picnic tables. Bathroom but sometimes its not clean.
Place needs a make over still but a great spot for kids to run
Great place but people need to clean there dogs poop
Took my 8 month old fur baby to the dog park and he loved it!!i bring him as much as i can to burn energy, its convenient and people clean up after their pets. The dog owners are very attentive to their babies, and theres lots of other pets my baby is able to play with. Would definitely reccomend this place if you dont mind your babies getting just a little dirty! some spots can gets muddy when it rains but its fully fenced and plenty of space for the fur babies to run around.
Good park to take its. Its wide open and easy to keep your eyes on your kids while they play such I greatly appreciate.
I wish it wasnt so open but its a fun park for the kids to play at. There is a stairway that goes right to a busy road which I think isnt great for children but there are a lot of toys, swings, tire swing, slides, a baby play place, gazebo, and plenty of green grass as well as a basketball court so all in all a good place to take your children.
A fun place to take the kids or any ages when you need fun time from home.
My granddaughter and I had alot of fun
Nice park, decent play area, well maintained.4 stars because the layout forces you into play area, as a parent I want easy access to and from the outer perimeter. Keeping my child in sight. (She likes walking off to pet other peoples dogs.)
