Good anchorage on the north side, good holding in 20 feet. Plenty of room for many boats. The island is small so not a whole lot of walking. Nice, never-the-less, although very overgrown when we were ther 2 weeks ago. Peaceful spot, we were there 2 nights.
Didnt have time to explore the whole island, but it was definitely pretty. And something to keep in mind is there is a private property on the island. And if youre trying to get there by kayak or canoe or any other kind of rowboat, good loading spot. We end up going to harstine island State Park and walking down a trail with two kayaks not the easiest thing to do with you have a kid and a dog with you. But it was still fun
It was amazing and super fun. I got badly cut by barnacles but thats nothing against the islandwould recommend. If youre looking for trails though its pretty much all private property on the land though. The beach is great
If youre getting here on foot, hurry up, cause the tide will get you. The place has a really interesting story, and its really pretty. The beach on Harstine north of it is beautiful and the sand is soft. The place is flat out amazing.
Remote feel yet close enough to get there easily. Beautiful and serene.
Wonderful experience, fun place to visit!
So fun at low tide!
Is only accessible by boat and island has plenty of poison oak. Other than that is a nice enjoyable stay
Quiet. North side well protected anchorage
Gathering place or place of quiet solitude McMicken Island has been a favorite South Sound stopping off place for lunch, gathering place for friends and an over nigh General for many years. McMicken also surveyed the San Jusnnu
Not much here. I came for the ingress portal/pokistop
Great spot
