Id love to have a part in this park! I always think about adding to it with edibles or bee and butterfly loving plants. There arent too many restrictions and I love to let the kids look at all there is to see on the beach areas. Thanks for a bit of beauty.

Wonderful place, there is a public little beach the only one I found for many many miles as all the other ones are private but this inlet water is particularly warm probably the warmest oceanwater in Washington state, at night the sea sparkle is breathtaking, as you swim in this warm water you are enveloped in a starry cloud of glowing blue, as the moon slowly rises over the oposing bank. Well worth the drive. I do wish there were more trees about however.

I love this quiet little quaint trail, its perfect to bring your dogs, bit I think it should be leash free because its so open. I almost dont want to post about this spot so other people dont come and ruin it.

Washington is NOT so great anymore. Its become a police state! As bad, or worse, than communist countries weve criticized!

Great place for clam digging. You do not have to go at low tide. High tide was quite successful for us!

Awesome open areas without excessive foliage which allows for great photography opportunities or soaking in the view. Perfect for experiencing the outdoors in a more natural way because its less trails in most parts of it and more raw nature. The bay, the beach, the grassy fields, the variety of trees, the distant mountains and of course the birds gives you a sense of oneness with earth and nature that gets lost in our lives easily. Lots of flat grassy areas to walk without a clear path. Lots of parking too. Best part is its never busy. If its one of those rare sunny days in Washington there will probably be other people but not uncommon to be the only one out there. Probably not the best for an entire day long trip because its easy to feel like you explored it all but also easy to just get lost in the experience and lose track of time. Take it in slowly and dont rush it.I reccomend checking it out if your trying to reconnect to the earth and escape your busy human life for a bit. Its located off of highway 3 in Shelton between mason lake road and bayshore gas station. Reccomend more for people who enjoy photography or nature lovers who are more into the beauty than the exploration. Honestly though not much more to offer than a lot of Mason county so avid outdoor seekers may be less impressed but definitely a good spot to experience what makes this area so beautiful. Especially if your passing through and not from the area it would be worth the time to pull off the highway and spend an hour soaking it in. Best if your looking for something that feels private and something different from trail hikes. Remember not to walk on the salt flats though.

A former golf course converted into a park. Locals do clamming and oyster harvesting here. Okay walk with some Marsh area. Not a destination, but if you are driving by its worth a look.
