My hiking guide labeled this as an easy hike and I didnt find it easy. Pretty views though.
After the first bit, this is a nice easy walk thru the woods. A little buggy here and there, with plenty of little streams to hop over along the way
Beautiful I loved, clean, well maintained trails. I will go again
Easy to find. Parking for maybe 10 cars. Several dispersed camping sites that looked to be very popular at or very near the trailhead. Lots of traffic on the road on a Friday. The road was in good condition and mostly paved if traveling on FR 23 from 101. The trail is in great shape, mostly dry, there were some small Creek crossings but my non waterproof shoes never got wet though. We hiked 4.25 miles in according to Gaia gps app but never came to an obvious camp so we werent sure where exactly we were turning around since we like to have a destination end point at a particular mileage based on the forest service info posted at the trailhead. The trail at times was a bit overgrown but without the trail and volunteer community in the times of covid this was to be expected. We did gain about 1200 feet according to the Gaia gps app on the hike so expect a bit of a workout that occurs at the beginning and end of the hike. Seemingly old growth forest as well as the mossy maples make this a hike worth doing. It was mostly pretty flat except the initial ridge. We saw someone riding a bike on this trail which seemed like it would be a lot of fun. Towards the end we did see a few Mt views presumably of Mt tebo.
Lots of trails and well marked junctions.
Great trail. Keep it clean, folks!
The trailhead parking lot is a Fee Area which means you either have a USFS Pass or you drive back down to Brown Creek Campground and pay $5 to park ar trailhead.
Great Huckleberry picking first week of July
This place is beautiful. Its a bit tricky to get down to the water but we manage to find a secret trail off the actual trail that leads down to this spot. Loved how super clear the water is. Great for kids. I suggest those little ones who cant swim to bring a life jacket. It gets deep in this part.
We were scoping out the Lebar Horse Camp and nearby trails for riding. Took a short hike on the trail. The trail itself is well maintained as far as we went. There are spots that are overgrown work vegetation and difficult for hiking but would be fine on horseback. Well probably come back and camp in early Fall. FYI the well at Lebar is dry and the closest water needs to be hauled from the nearby Browns campground.
Beautiful place to hike and fish. Also caught a massive trout here.
Browns creek area tha campgrounds and hiking trails are a great escape from busy life .... Thats fun for the whole family.
Awesome place to go hiking!
Greatest quick hike in the area. Get to the river and explore!

Excellent peace of mind in a hustle bustle modern day world ...all shoukd make time to take here ...
Great trail to hike on. Make sure you go the right way or you could basically be retracing your steps. My dogs and my car all loves the hike as well.
Its a perfect get away from the rest of the world
One of my favorite places to hang out.
Easy to find, not a technical hike.
