A treasure of history related to the logging industry and mason county. The resourcefulness of the early loggers is intriguing .One example was how they utilized the large stumps. Carving out a small home with the uniqueness of their personality.The library of photographs can keep you captivated for hours. So on a rainy day you can find it can be a shelter to learn about the ways people lived here in a wonderful rain forest.

Great glimpse if local history

Fun place. Lots to look at in a sm place. Lots of info about shelton. And the surrounding area.

Very interesting displays and items of local significance. In addition, the staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, with access to a considerable amount of archived historical material.

Fun little museum

We stopped in on Halloween night and were pleasantly surprised. Firstly, the staff is amazing! They are very knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful. The exhibits are very well curated and there was lots to see. I look forward to visiting again.

This is one of my favorite places in Shelton. The staff is inviting and has so much knowledge. If you have a question about Mason Counties history, this is the place to start.
