I was taken down to this area to hike down too. The beauty was because of the melting of the snow and the falls were flowing and we hiked down under the falls and took pictures from below. Nice hike and not to far from the road. Must see when its sprig or after snow fall melt. 5 star
Its pretty and uneventful. I would want to see it again after the snow melts. Plus wish people didnt litter Go early otherwise you are tripping over people.
Follow trail 384 from Wolf creek rd road down to the creek, cross the creek and stay to the right, it should start going slightly uphill, (100ft after the creek) Youll see an orange band across a tree, turn right on that narrow footpath across from the tree. Follow that trail for about 150yds and youll be on the summit of the 70ish ft falls. The left side of the falls (looking down) has a better trail down than the right.
Easy hike. Might get a little warm during summer months. From trail head head down to Wolf Creek then flank right. Stay on the left side (south side). Maybe 1/4 mile? Worth it. Get out and explore this amAZing state of AZ!
Beautiful any time of year, whether the falls are running or not. Always a nice bonus when they are, though.
Well, around every corner, 1 of the great places, of many, in the Kingdom of Arizona
We were there in May and its been raining on and off lately. Everything was in bloom. Finding the trail head was pretty easy but finding the final trails to the upper or lower falls was tricky. NO permanent trail markers to the falls that we saw but we eventually intercepted a row of tape flags on branches that brought us close enough to hear the water and find our way. Awesome upper pool and small falls. Main falls are located a few hundred feet downstream and plunges close to 50 or 60. Nice water flow our day but we find a path to climb from the lower pool to stand in the cave under the falls and really cool down before heading back out.
Never found the water fall. Very secluded. 4 wheel drive recommended
The trail isnt the greatest and its easy to lose the loop at the end, but the falls are awesome.
Worth the hike when theres snowmelt, really cool waterfall. Be weary of the road out. Low clearance cars arent recommended on it.
Must do a bit of hiking and scrambling to get to the falls
One of my favorite places to take the dogs to. Nice hike even if the creek is dry.
Great hiking area, but no water flowing over the falls right now
One of my favorite hiking spots great views and camping spots available once u hike in
Cant wait to go back again. Please people, bring your trash back to your car. We filled up bags of garbage while heading back from the falls.
Im such an outdoorsy person and this place was PERFECT!!!! I absolutely loved the hike to the waterfall and my fianceé and I went to the waterfall and though it was a bit cold it was totally worth standing in it and letting flow over you Definitely going back!!!
Beautiful granite waterfall
Nice falls easy to get to.
One of my favorite spots to visit!!!!
Great place for hiking
Awesome place
Water is there
To get to the 90ft waterfall, we stayed in the trail #384 until we came to an opening where the trail 384 turned left. Here take right to an unmarked but visible trail. This takes you on the side of multiple rocky areas and eventually to the waterfalls. During late September, there wasnt any water but its expected to have a lot of water early spring when the snow melts off the mountains. Route finding is hard and is slippery in most places. We found a coral snake right on our trail. We waited until the little guy passed and he didnt seem to mind us at all. The view from the top of falls is great and you can scramble through some rocks to get down as well. Overall, a mile and a half round trip which my 5 year old was able to do with a little help.
Hard to find trail head but it is post #384
Nice hike
Beautiful place
