Lynx Lake is a small man-made lake nestled in the forest. It is great for family activities such as fishing, kayaking, and hiking. There is also a picnic area. I go there for the kayaking. Lynx Lake Cafe is there and the food is excellent. Enjoy!
Beautiful lake, the problem is the people. There are so many people and many feel the need to bring their poorly trained dogs, mine was bit once and almost bit a 2nd time. The people just practically line up on the shore to fish, but if you hike for about a 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile from the parking area in either direction, you should find some quiet areas to fish.
It has been a really long time since we have been here. Still a really great place. Sad to see the low water levels, really need rain. Next time Im bringing a differant rod, had a nice Carp but my line broke..a lot of fun though.
Amazing views and a well kept area. Limited parking though. So before 9 am is recommended.
Been going to lynx lake for 50 yrs was a nice little quiet lake in the woods now as Prescott has grown it is a very popular place now, still people there are friendly it will cost 5.00 to go there now on a honor system . Did noticed the rest rooms were clean but it is time to clean it out as it is getting full
This is a great place to picnic. sidewalks as my husband uses a cane. bbqs at every picnic table.beautiful view.
Great place to escape for the day or camp out. Temps were perfect and even with the rain hiking and enjoying a picnic was worth the drive.
Beautiful and quiet lake. Campgrounds are closed right now
Nice wide boat ramp easy access. has several long spaces for vehicle and boat trailer.
Small lot with a lot of cars. I suggest you come here early to ensure parking space.
Very nice lake with so many pine trees. very peaceful
Great lake. Parking is difficult, so be prepared. Staff was friendly, and getting in and out was a breeze.
A beautiful lake with ducks on the lake. picnic area clean. lovely deck to walk on. place to dock boat. scenery just gorgeous!
Muddy waters!!!Beautiful lake! I used to park at the North end, but found out that its way closer to the water if you park near the south end which is just about half a mile up from the cafe they have on the north side. The trail is approximately 2 mi around and in my opinion is easily enjoyable by anyone of any age.
Beautiful with and quite late. A must see
Not much water to do any fishing right now. Have had good luck fishing here when the water level is up.
Great food and service with a gorgeous view
Pretty lake never catch fish here but its a fun hike around.
Packed, too many bees! Water was cold, not really accessable for elders and disables.
This beautiful lake with a trail around it, half of which is paved, is a wonderful around 15 minute drive from home and is a place to fish, camp, hike or just hang out. You can rent kayaks, canoes, and paddle boats for reasonable prices and join the multitudes exercising gracefully on the water, or take a hike and keep an eye out for the adventurous and curious wildlife.
Beautiful and peaceful with a gorgeous view!
Beautiful place, hiking around the lake is a good alternative for people who dont want to be in the water
Good views of the lake from here. Plenty of BBQ grills and picnic tables. As others have said, it can get crowded here but its worth it. Good hiking trails too!
Wonder place to relax, have lunch or just to enjoy the outdoors
What a nice place to go for a walk!
Been here three times love this place, this place is special
Great!! GODS nature is always beautiful.
I loved the walking trails and view
Beautiful lake and coutryside!
Although it was hot and crowded, the camp volunteers kept things flowing
It was a nice place would go back again. We went to the north and the South side. Picnic areas were clean
Peaceful place to be at and kids to get wet.
Just a beautiful place to visit...
Nice place for families

Its beautiful out there
If you love nature, you must visit
Picture perfect lake.
HIGHLY recommend you take the hike around the lake. It is AMAZING just a Gorgeous hike! Not too difficult even with a Husky and a Pitbull guiding us. Just a great place!
Just beautiful!
I love this place specially if you moved to Arizona from Green with nature state. This place giving different taste and make you feel Arizona is not just dirt and desert. Recommand to ride kayak there and be there in fall session.
Beautiful Mountain Lake with nice picnic areas in the shade and clean waterless toilets. Lots of people enjoying the water on boats, kayaks, sailboats and fishing. Well maintained.
Beautiful lake.
No fish didnt even get one little bite 2 because of no
The fish werent really biting but honestly I couldnt have cared less! The views, the weather, the trails, the being in nature at the lake. Highly recommend going here to get away from the desert life for a few and enjoy some tall pines and beautiful scenery. Its great! Going to make it a regular spot to go.
Very nice!
Beautiful..peaceful
Great park for hiking and fishing.
What a wonderful lake for kayaking.
Fun peaceful beautiful
Cool, peaceful. What a change from Tucson.
We took our first canoe out on Lynx Lake today. After our initial flip into the water, it was a great time, a really grwat time, on a beautiful lake. Thank you to all, who helped us flip it back over and pushed us out safely.
Nice lake, but fishing isnt good right now.
Great place for bird watching and photography, especially first thing in the morning! Easy access to and from the waters edge for boating and fishing. Wonderful day use area!
Beautiful lake..good fishing!!
A great, relaxing place surprisingly close to the city.
Love taking my kids here for the great trails and wildlife...
A lot of places to set up camp for the day and entrance fee is free as of 6/8/2020, due to C19
By far the best fishing in Prescott. Boat friendly, beautiful views, beautiful weather, makes for a perfect day of fishing. The bite is always good.
Not too far outside of town, covered picnic & pine forest
Beautiful. Not a horribly hot day. Kyaking was great! You do need bug spray and blocker!
Great little get away just a few short hours north of Phoenix. Fishing, hiking and epic scenery along with a clean great campground make this a regular weekend camp spot.
Beautiful place to go out for the day. Please remember to not let your dog off leash unless they are good with other dogs!:)
My favorite lake in Prescott
Lynx Lake it is a wonderful place to go hiking or have a picnic. I loved going here cant wait to come back and try to do some fishing
Nice trail around lake
Great lake! The Southside is way better than the north there is tons of shade lots of tables and grills the entire shore line is accessible for fishing and the boat ramp is wide. There was this really nice maintenance guy that was constantly going around picking up trash and answering questions and overall the guy loved his job so that was exteremly pleasant its $5 for the day so bring cash!
This is a sacred sanctuary! Perfect for a gateway
Fresh air, great backwoods scenery, abundant wildlife, great fishing close to big and small cities and plenty of food and shopping opertunities:)
My husbands and mine last fishing trip together. A beautiful memorable spot.
Beautiful lake with stunning views. The walk around the lake is extremely peaceful and quiet. This is the perfect getaway from the hot valley.
A very cozy place to go and relax. Good fishing and you can use paddle propelled boats.
Well keep facilities. But several large to buses showed up for what appeared to be a school function and left there engines running for most of the day creating lots of noise that could be heard throughout the lake area. People were also fishing of the end of the boat ramp making it hard to use.
Beautiful trail..
Beautiful place for hiking and fishing. No swimming allowed. Nice picnic areas. Clean restrooms
Beautiful place to go and fish, or just to walk around. Beautiful scenery.
Beautiful lake with hiking trail that leads the perimeter. Saw a couple of Bald Eagles, just wonderful.
Beautiful hiking around the lake. Half of the trail was paved and fairly level on the busier side. Opposite side was more rocky and undulating. Saw some deer, ducks, and other water birds. No eagles though
Nice lake, easy place to take kayaks.
Beautiful lake area. Nice easy hike around the lake
Good camping is kept nice and clean,But when it comes to fishing not good at all.
Launched our kayak for a lovely cruise!
A beautiful lake and I even managed get some pictures of a bald eagle with my good camera!
Peaceful place for family picnic.
Great views, plenty of parking, plenty of group seating areas but confusing exit.
Such an awesome little lake. Camping, fishing, hiking, boating, archery, (shooting...in designated areas...)not actually in the park area per se, but close)There are many picnic areas, and many of those are covered, along with grills to cook your favorite foods. Yummy. And, the best yet...two bathrooms, and they are clean! How nice. Its open all year long, so bring your family, pets, or just enjoy a day by yourself.Hours very from winter and summer, so be sure to read the hour sign while entering. oh...and there is a small parking fee. But Wednesdays are free. If youre disabled, you can go to the forest service and get a Golden Eagles pass for free entry for the rest of your life, and to all Federal parks! So, go ahead, be happy and enjoy!
Great little park an a fun lake, can be crowded on holidays
I love this place, stay away
