Was the first visit for us. We read about it on the internet thought we would check it out. Our granddaughter enjoyed the stories and seeing old items they use years ago.
This is a great facility I have been doing mind meditation classes there and I think there are wonderful
Wonderful place. The docent was so friendly and helpful, I am so happy these charming old barracks and houses escaped a bulldozer. They are beautiful. I would actually love to be a docent here someday when I retire.
Educational, learn alot of Prescott history at fort Whipple, has a tour guide.
Quaint little museum that everyone should stop by. It doesnt take long to go through and the custodian was very helpful with a solid back-story
Awesome place with lots of displays of local history specific to Fort Whipple
So much fascinating history shared by a knowledgeable docent. Very nice home and tour.
This is an awesome place ! Beautifully preserved pieces of history told in good detail about the fort and the reservation . The gatling gun is just a beautiful piece of machinery from a time when the west was wild .
Very great museum. I learned a lot about the history of the former capital here
Very interesting historic house with picture displays of Fort Whipple.
A good place to go see what kind of endurance people had back in them days
Hours are evidently not correct. We went there this weekend and absolutely nobody was around, but security was quick to come intercept us. I was very interested in learning some of Prescotts and Arizonas history, but it seems this is yet another thing the Veterans Administration has claimed and ruined while wasting tax dollars. It was awesome to see these old officers quarters, but the VA has allowed them to become so dilapidated and worn that some are actually falling apart. Ruining American history both by killing our vets and physical history. Way to go, VA.
At the VA HOSPITAL Facility. A lot of great people helping the VETS !
Went on Sunday Jan 28th because the Sharlot Hall website stated that it was open. Upon arrival I noted a hand written note on the front door stating that it was closed due to plumbing issues.I called Sharlot Hall to find out when it would be reopened I was told that the building and maintenance was run by the Veterans Administration and they stated that it would be a few weeks. The Sharlot Hall website has since been updated to reflect the temporary closure (hence the two stars instead of just one).I fear with the Veterans Administration running this operation it may be more like a few months. I can only hope that they prove me wrong and they get their act together in regards to the repairs.
This is a quick and easy stop to learn about the local area.
A wonderful place for history buffs. A very well maintained and historically accurate museum.
Pretty cool historic site. Too bad it was closed down that day.
Did not feel welcomed. Went there Sunday after church. Planed on eating my lunch on a hill side looking over the buitufull campus. Dint even seat down to eat and was approached by a campus officer asking what i was doing, what was in my bag, if i was a vetren. Qustion after qustion. Not going back.
Great little medical museum of the Fort.
It is really informative
Loved it.
Never been there
