This is a beautiful historic church in Philadelphia. U feel the history yet are not overwhelmed. We took a tour of the museum on the premises and were thoroughly awed.

There was conference on life work of Paul Robeson..person of true freedom good position for a historical church..If anyone every heard this man sing the song Old man river.. that is a powerful prayer...keep Philadelphia as center of peace for mankind..young people to learn gratitude...Black heritage Gospel communities...so real...

Last day of Johnson family reunion, we attended Mother Bethel morning service. Excellent service . We had an opportunity to visit the Richard Allen museum on site. It was an extraordinary experience. In Philadelphia. Highly recommended.

Reverend Kelley is a dynamic and engaging speaker. He uses present day examples to clarify scripture. The quire will put you in the mood. All glory to god.

The oldest Black church in the U.S. worship was great

The Spirit of the Lord is in this place. The sanctuary is alight with the Magnificense of God illumed in the stained glass.. History of the church stands in tribute to Mighty Men and Women of Gods choosing.

This historic church location is well preserved the tour was excellent

Went here for church yesterday and was blown away! Not only was the service engaging and wonderful, but was pleasantly surprised by the museum down below! Took away way more than what we anticipated. Thank you, Mother Bethel!

Im not christian. Im an exterminator. They seem real friendly, personable and nice. The church part is real big and the wood is beautifully crafted. Theres a museum in the basement and a crypt where the founder is entombed. It is a very clean and well kept place. Im not xtian so i cant speak on what they do religion wise but im sure its nice for xtians.

The church is beautiful. The tour is a must. Tour guides were excellent. Tour was about 30 mins.

Richard Allen was a real live Christian hero. It was an honor to go to his church. He dragged the dead victims out of their homes during the yellow fever epidemic . He said Christ will protect me. And He did!
