Took my kid there because she earned a reward and that’s what she wanted to do. It is a pretty cool place for little ones to run around and play. Lots of different rooms with different activities. Loved the Alice in wonderland area. Fun little mirror maze. They have an art room for the kids to paint. A story time cabin where someone reads to the kids. They get four stars because the prices in the cafeteria are ridiculously overpriced plus we stood there for about 15 minutes without any of the 3 people working the hot counter even acknowledging us. And we have been to smaller places like this elsewhere that have cooler activities like a tv station (kids can pretend to be an anchor) and a tube situation to play simple songs on, plus other building toys.

Expensive ($19 per adult or kid), but reasonable for for you get.two level with many areas of fun. top level houses massive water table on one side and fast-food/cafe, and transportation with real objects or very real replicas (including sit-in stationary monorail) on the other. in the addition on the side, one finds a Muslim theme exhibit, along with a camping scene, robot showcase, and a rocket launch. the top level alone was enough to kill half a day.lower level has a life-size community combo: shoe shop, bakery, supermarket, mail service, small hospital (equipped with stationary ambulance, gurney, and MRI machine!), etc. middle of the section is art studio on one side, theater and railroad exhibit + huge landscape model on the opposite. towards the end is an elaborate Alice In Wonderland maze, combined with gift shop and ramp going back up to ground floor.truly an amazingly designed place for kids age 2 to... at least 9. had to leave in a rush so didnt get to check out the carousel ($3 per ride, included in membership).ample street parking outside. umbrella stroller available for loan.

I really enjoyed this museum with my young grandchildren. It is very big and there is so much to do. There is a carousel and the kids tickets are only $3.00 and then adults ride for free. There were a lot of neat hands on exhibits. One of our favorites was the Alice in Wonderland exhibit. They have so much to do we didnt have time to explore everything. I would definitely go back.

Really small, really basic, and for really small children! Very expensive, too ($76 for a family of four)The exhibits are well crafted but they only cater to toddlers. Think of a wooden imitation-train engine, and a plastic lettuce that your toddler can throw in a tiny cart in a mini-supermarket.The building is quite spectacular, as is a model of the 1876 fair for which it was constructed (in the basement). But that’s about it.

Once great kids museum located in an amazing space in that is slowly degrading over time. Our experiences with the Please Touch Museum date back to before it moved into beautiful Memorial Hall which itself was built for the 1876 Centennial Exhibition as an art gallery. A decade ago we found the museum to be a rather worn down and sad experience in its old location and I fear it is heading in that direction again. When the museum moved into the new building all of the exhibits were rebuilt and the place was simply amazing. However it has been going slowly downhill ever since. Many of best interactive experiences have broken over time and were permanently removed instead of fixed, and many others have been worn through heavy use to the point that they have a minimal interest.Apparently the museum ran into financial issues related to the costs of the building and the way their lease was structured with the city of Philadelphia. However they emerged from bankruptcy 3 years ago now and it strikes me that many of the fixes needed are inexpensive. Replace the worn out fruit and box at the store! Add more rubber ducks to the pond! Make the train room fun by getting lots more trains in there so the kids are fighting over them! I know the utility costs of the building are hundreds of thousands of dollars, but just a tiny percentage of that would fix all of these problems and more.It pains me to write this review. I really hope that they fix these problems and I can come back and rewrite this and say everything is back to the way it used to be.

This is a outstanding place to spend time. The Hall has been transformed into a massive play space for children. The Please Touch museum. It is a remarkable step made to the city for the city to preserve the monumental structure. Before the Philadelphia Arte Museum was finished it’s completion in 1925, Memorial Hall was we’re all the city’s arte collectives and artifacts of the city were held. Now we can still take upon the history of the 1876 Centennial world fair. This was also one of the buildings you would see coming out of the main exhibit hall during the worlds fair. There was also a train that traveled threw the park and took patrons to other exhibits. It’s truly a honor to be able to enjoy the art work that is placed threw out the city. The statues that sit outside of memorial hall were casted in 1863 and was salvaged from a building In Italy and were brought to Philadelphia! Also, I attend the lupus walk every year, this is our meeting place!! #sheilassolders

Great museum for little kids! My daughter (5) and i loved exploring this museum. There was so much to see and do, I wish we had anither hour or so. Amazing museum for kids with so many things to do for kids of all ages. Love that everything is at the right height and they can try out so many activities and jobs. My daughter particularly loved the supermarket and choosing groceries for her mini shopping cart. The water activity area is great although younger kids (and some parents!) didnt understand currents and how some of the levers worked! I was particularly impressed by the clothing provided: smocks for water play, Alice in wonderland dresses etc. Definitely worth the effort to go, and try Groupon for deals on tickets as they are much cheaper!

I took my 4 and 3 year olds to the museum for the first time today amd they had a blast. As a matter of fact, the 4 year old declared it the best day ever! There is a lot of stuff to do and friendly and helpful staff all around. There were (very limited) vegan options, but we all had lunch successfully at the cafe. The story time was cute and interactive. There were plenty of bathrooms around for the little bladders that dont wait too well! It was pricey, $50 for the 3 of us, plus $5 for each kid to ride the carousel, but we spent hours there doing fun and interesting activities, so I think it was worth the price of admission.

My son had a lot of fun. The building is beautiful and there are a lot of things to grab at when you are here. The little grocery store, the docotrs office, the trolley, they were great to explore. The Alice in Wonderland set up was nice, which led to a big tree that you could play in. The big water play area was cool but it would of been nice if there was more to play with in it. Its definitely good for 6 and under because kids are a lot more hands on the, although its still interesting enough for the next couple years following.

Had a great time. the exhibits were well-thought-out and the museum overall is very large so you can spend a good amount of time without the children getting bored of any one section. The Alice in Wonderland section was a particularly well-designed location. There were Gardens and a mirror maze wall for the kids to enjoy. I highly recommend to visit if you have not been in a while as while I went as a child we have not come back in several years with our kids. UNBELIEVABLE. My friend and I went to the Please touch museum today because we were in the area and had nothing else to do. We thought it would be a fun time so we thought why not. We enter the door and walk up to the counter to be told we are not allowed entry because we must be children. Now, I am just 16 and my friend is 17 so I corrected her saying we are actually under 18 and she exclaimed at me, “Then you must be here with an adult.” There is absolutely no winning in this situation so we showed ourselves out. And she had a mustache.

The website says this is a great place for ages 3 to 12. I am in disagreement, I feel 2 to 5 would be more accurate for the activities offered. After a quick observation around the museum with my six and a half year old, I realized this was not a good fit for him. Asked for a manager as we just arrived paid 40 dollars for entrance and 16 for parking and my son was bored....the manager whom I only asked if she could reimburse us just for the parking, told me only the finance person can make that call. Really? You are not equipped to make an experience better for guests. They charge 19 per person and add additional for the carousel rides. There was plenty of street parking but I hesitated and ending up in their parking lot for 16 dollars. Why would the rate be so expensive considering there is plenty of street parking????. The woman in finance never bothered to answer my email. Please be mindful if you chose to go. Free parking and the age of your child.
