A beautiful place for any sports activity within the city. There are plenty soccer fields with goal posts and usually line marks. You can also play baseball and football in the field. If you love jogging this place can be a nice option. You can also go around the park if you like from here.

Great baseball games! Near playground for kids!! Basketball courts. Terrific for exercising/walking/jogging! Pretty quiet during morning! Clean/well kept! Near Septa transportation. Quite safe during daylight!!!!! Im not here when it gets dark.

Was here for a cookout. Nice area & close to the cars parked on the street which made it convenient for loading & unloading. However, not so good for the little ones playing w/ a ball at that end.

We love this area of fairmount park. My son has soccer practice and its not too far from the amazing Smith playground.

Great place to spend time wit family

Finding the right tree to so under may not be for you but it was for me. A lot of work had been done in the park too create a more approachable atmosphere for residents and tourists visiting from out of town. The breeze was blowing on the day I went and it was very nice to see people walking, jogging, and riding bikes. The Art museum had loads of tourists ready to explore the park and the museum.
