The place is awesome

We purchased a triennial timeshare from Oceania Family of resorts. We were shown an oceanfront room (#903) at Seaside Resort and told by several people at Oceania that the room we were deeded would be the same as #903. We asked several times about the room number since it was a different number than we were shown and were assured it was the same as the one we were shown. Maybe it was our error and we should have gone back to the resort and asked to see the room we were deeded, but we trusted them. Our mistake! To our surprise when we used it for the first time it was not even close to the room we were shown. We were HIGHLY DECEIVED! The room was not ocean front, it was ocean view and it was smaller than the room we were told we were purchasing. I tried to contact Oceania daily (6 times) while we were in Myrtle Beach and I left several messages for contract services and did not receive even a courtesy call back. I contacted Trading Places who booked our stay who tried to contact the Seaside and get us an oceanfront room, but there were none available. As we were staying at the resort, there were several people being taken by various time share agencies to room #903, even though you cannot purchase that particular room. An employee at the front desk apologized and said that they understand and are not sure why they continue to show that room when there is no way that an owner at the seaside will ever get that room to use or any room like it. These deceitful practices need to be stopped. I also sent an email to Seaside owners services and have not received any response. Although the resort itself is not a bad place to stay... stay away from the timeshare purchase... Buyer Beware!
