We stayed here for a week. The room was clean and all the staff was very helpful and nice! My kids loved the pools and we loved our view of the ocean. I want to thank all of the ladies at the front desk and thank yall for wishing my mom a happy birthday!. Fran you are an amazing person and you went out of your way to make our stay feel more like home! We will miss you all! Until next Vacation!

Place has some amazing views from the balcony. Wasnt ready for the dirty coffee maker or the other surprising dirt accumulations. Wasnt ready for the pets. Or the trucks on the weekend. The room looked really nice tho..

Very nice hotel overall! Although the property is somewhat dated, the rooms are well kept and the staff are more than helpful. Common surfaces may not be cleaned as much as i would like during covid, but i felt safe and had a good time.I had an ocean view room and it is definately the way to go!!

I dont know where to start. From the very beginning this place has impressed me. 5 hot tubs, 2 pools,lazy river, patio bar, Beach access, clean beautiful accommodations, restaurant and coffee bar that I never tried but looked great, free easy parking, beautiful views,, even the neighbors were awesome.

Beautiful location, pet friendly, efficiency room is very convenient. Check in was fast and easy. Front desk personnel were very helpful. Walk to the beech is very nice and close.

Very nice hotel Took husband here for his first time at the beach and they offered us the top floor for no additional charge. Loved the view and all the employees were super nice. Definitely check out the restaurant on the 2nd floor it was great!

Me and my husband stayed for my birthday. Just wanted to get away. As soon as we arrived the people at the front desk was rude. The website wasn’t updated about keeping a hundred on hold . The gentleman checking us in was trying to help but this lady came over and said it is and gave a side look. After checking in my husband went on the website again and No where it said that. The morning of my birthday my husband went to see what they was serving since it said on website it was free when booking through the hotel. But again they said No they stopped that. But again the website was not updated. We tried to make the best out of the weekend but it could have been a lot better if people wasn’t so rude. Housekeeping was very nice we took our own everything for the room. When called to come get the stuff their was no problem. Also pointed us to some great restaurants and sight to visit. She was very nice and cheerful like she liked her job.

My mom and I stayed here for five days, yes it was affordable during covid, but this hotel was a joke. First off, check in was terrible. The staff wasnt rude but they werent exactly inviting either. Then they stated that I had to put a $100 retainer on the room for any damages, which wasnt on the website at all. Then the key card didnt work. I had to go back down to the check-in desk 3 times, before they finally sent the repair guy up to finally then replace the whole lock. The hotel floors were wet all over, and they just had wet floor signs up all over. The hotel was out -dated, the room was dirty upon arrival, dust everywhere, hair in the tubs and sink. We asked for house -keeping to come up to clean it, and we called three times for someone to do something as well as asking for towels and new sheets. The free breakfast wasnt a thing, even though it was offered online. The only reason Im giving this place a 2/5 star is because the pool was decent as well as having easy beach access. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

The Patricia Grand is an awesome resort! The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The room was great and super clean, we had an Oceanfront King. The views are breathtaking from the private balcony. Very very reasonably priced given we were there from August 9th to 12th. If we could have changed our flight back home, we would have stayed a few more days. The hotel itself is BEAUTIFUL! I cant say enough great things about this place! This was our first trip to Myrtle Beach and the next time that we come back, we will definitely be staying at the Patricia Grand!

Rooms are mostly as described. The location is on the ocean so cant be beat for the price. The lobby is small and the swimming area is decent but nothing extraordinary. We spent most of our time on the beach and at the boardwalk. This location is an easy 20 minute walk to the boardwalk. About 1.5 miles so make sure you dress appropriately. During holiday weekends, traffic gets backed up and police are very visible so I never felt unsafe. Overall we were satisfied with our stay for the price. If you research, alot of the resorts offer the same amenities.

My bed sheets were stained upon arrival and there was no comforter or blankets in the room only a bed cover which honestly resembled a re-purposed window drape. Not to mention the tub didnt drain properly so I had to shower in a tub filled with water to my calves. This place appears nicer than what it actually is.

After having issues with another rental, a lady recommended we stay at the Patricia Grand. Firstly, there was only 1 working elevator and the floor was covered in brown, murky water. Immediately after opening the door to our room there was a huge roach to great us :). The room smelled horrible, the furniture looked old and dusty. Now I know this is a 3 star, pet friendly hotel but I cannot believe there are five star reviews, the hotel room was gross. I would honestly give it 0 stars if I could.

We came to The Patricia Grand to get away from being bored in the house. We brought our dog and we all had a really good time. The dog had a blast racing on the beach and it was probably one of the most dog friendly places we have been. The staff was really nice and the view was amazing. Talk about ocean front, some of the rooms had an ocean view and they all had a patio. The pools are so much fun, especially the lazy river. It is right across from a Starbucks and Ben and Jerry’s. You can walk everywhere because everything is within walking distance. There is a grassy area next the pool for the dogs. The rooms where updated recently and are beautiful, however they are pretty small. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a dog, or family looking for an ocean front resort.

Pretty good for the price we paid. Microwave and fridge were included. We got an oceanview room too. We didnt have problems with hot water in tub. Not close to any of the stores or sky wheel. Staff was amazing and very friendly!

First off, the room was classified as an oceanfront. That was a lie, the room had less view than the Oceanview rooms. Went to the front desk to complain and the front desk lady told us that it is an ocean front. It did not have the view that was shown on THEIR website. On the ride up to the room, the button for the room shut off so I went to three different floors before getting to go to my room. The room was clean but the dishes still had food on them from the last people that were there. The coffee maker had chemical residue on it. The bathroom was too small for one person to use. You had to stand in between the toilet and sink to close the door. The shower had a showersaver head on it and was barely more than a trickle. The elevators were VERY SLOW. Had trouble getting an elevator that MULTIPLE people were waiting for and it was after peak season. There were NEVER enough carts to use to take our bags up to our room. There are security lights in the parking garage but only one level ever had them on.On a positive side the room was pretty clean and the access to the beach was nice.

We are staying here for 8 days. Arrived at check-in and was greeted in a timely manner. Check-in took 5 mins tops, there is a $100 deposit that you get back at the end of your stay if everything is like it was when you arrived. Had an issue with our key cards, neither one of the two would unlock our hotel door. They got someone from maintenance up there to take care of it, he was very polite and it didnt even take 5 mins. Room was very clean and smelled nice, we had an oceanfront king suite and it had everything you could need as far as cooking is concerned. People that work there are very helpful and polite and over all just great workers. Will definitely be staying here again!

Awesome customer service..however, had to request a refund and find other accommodations, due to the condition of the room, as well as, hotel. I am a dog lover, but all of the barking, feces throughout the lobby and 8th floor created an unbearable odor. The toilet and the sink in the room were clogged at check-in and the toilet overflowed, when it was flushed (without using it). This resulted in poop coming up. Lastly, the curtains were filthy. A small discount was offered to stay, but not worth it. I would have rather slept in my vehicle.

The room had a bad smell to it, almost like a kennel. I know it’s a pet friendly hotel, but this was ridiculous The dishes looked like they hadn’t been washed after the last guest. It was no better on the balcony, unless you enjoy the smell of cigarettes and marijuana. The weird part is that my relative’s room was really nice and clean. So I guess it a gamble here for whether or not you get a clean room. But I will say the staff was friendly and the ocean view was great.

I rented 2 rooms for 2 nights. We were on the 19th floor which the view was amazing. Everything was good. We didnt see any extra cleaning for covid in common areas. The pictures on the sites to reserve the rooms are outdated. The bathrooms were not clean clean, on the floors behind the doors were not swept and the bathtub had yucky hair on it. Other than that I have nothing major to complain about. All the employees were very nice. I will go again.

This is a very nice motel. However it does have its flaws. To name a few we couldnt even set on our balcony for the strong smell of pot. At 5:30 in the morning it sounded like a kennel with all the dogs barking. There was absolutely no water pressure in the shower. The cable sucked and for us this trip not having a wide variety of channels was bad because it rained most of our vacation. Other th as n theses few things it is a very nice place. If you can overlook these few things I would suggest giving them a try.

I would rate the room avarage. There are some nice employees who greet you and ask how youre doing. Others dont even acknowledge you (could be due to the Covid pandemic situation and wearing masks). We stayed in an ocean view king room. The view is beautiful directly facing the beach. The rooms need some updating and up keeping. The bathroom was tiny and had no shower curtain but when we told the front desk they immediately brought one. We inspected the sheets, the floor, and all the dressers with a special light and everything was super clean only the walls showed some spots. Theres a gym and only 4 people allowed at a time. Social distancing guidelines are enforced. The reason I gave it an extra star is due to free parking. The rooms should have been cheaper to be honest and I would probably not stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! TV didn’t work and we called multiple times trying to get someone to fix it. Paid extra for the suite and couldn’t get linens. Even got yelled at by housekeeping for asking! One issue after another. You definitely get what you pay for. Please learn from our mistake and save yourself the headache!

Staff was good, THEY DO NOT HAVE BLANKETS ON THE BED OR ENOUGH FOR THE WHOLE HOTEL BRING YOUR OWN FROM HOME. I received one when I went to the lobby and asked it had dried paint on it and made a peeling sound when I unfolded it. The room was decent but not the cleanest and the beds were hard and uncomfortable.

Hotel: Cozy place, love the location. Ample parking(atleast when I went). Room: Toilet was super low. Shower didnt drain properly. Water pressure was surprisingly low. Fire alarm malfunctioned one night at 3am. Beds clean.

I stay at this hotel for 5nights last week we really enjoyed ourself the room was clean great view, the only complaint is there was no tissue in the bathroom and house keeping wasnt done due to coronavirus and social distancing but they had signs up letting ppl no ahead of time...yes I will be booking this hotel again..I loved it I think the price are cheap for what we got...how I miss myrtle beach already

If you’re going to stay here make sure you purchase the vacation protection plan (if you even see it during check out) especially during these time because they do not care why your family may have had to cancel their vacation they will not give you your money back. I booked what my whole family thought to be a for sure trip, Half of my family relocated there and we were going to come see them once they got settled in but now that they are there and the young kids are in school, the dad is working a ton we thought it’d be safer to not go. Not mention there are some other health issues they are currently dealing with. I asked to speak to the manager (I wanted to talk to them about my situation also I don’t even remember seeing the vacation protection plan when I checked out on a 3rd party booking site) I was put on hold for a couple minutes then the same person came back on the line and told me the manager was not budging there is no exception and was too BUSY to talk to me.... Then she said I could re-book it a year out and they’ll put that money towards it, I said look I understand I missed the option for vacation protection but if you guys don’t even have the decency to listen to a customer’s situation and you just want to rush them off the phone I defiantly won’t be staying there a year from now. Also I don’t what kind of jobs they have but I know everyone in my family has ZERO idea of when we will have vacation time all together next year. After check out they were more worried about me sharing that I had booked with them then mentioning the vacation protection plan. The customer service rep literally said they have the right to keep my money, nice choice of language there. There is a away to provide good customer service and inform me I cannot receive my deposit back but being put on hold then told they are too busy for me it’s my fault and they have a right to keep my money then rush my off the phone.. It’s very clear their intentions here. Worst customer service ever! I also booked one of their biggest suites. This will not be the only review I leave. These types of review will change the mind of possible guest planning trips in their area. Think all off the money they could lose… or they could make time for their customers and maybe offer a $120 deposit refund during a freakin pandemic where ppl are trying to get back to normal but we just can’t yet.. My total trip was about $450 that they won’t be getting now.

Amazing!!! Very clean, exceptional customer service.. there was a mix up with my reservation that was resolved quickly with no problem and my husband and myself was given a free breakfast card (which the food by the way was amazing as well) for free for the inconvenience

Dirrrrty. May not stay kind of dirty. Stains on the sheets, bathroom door doesnt close properly. Not given towels (maybe Covid related?) And then given the wrong towels once we requested. Im not usually particularly picky with hotels as long as it seems clean but this place does not seem clean. There are also notices in the elevator about K-9 insect inspections???? Horrifying.

My room was not equipped. I gave stayed at other resorts here in Myrtle Beach where we had a kitchen this one didnt have anything. No skillet, no coffee, no paper towel, no salt or pepper. When we open the door the first thing was the smell... it smelled like something had died. I called for some air freshener. They told me they only had a little but would send it up. They did and stood outside the door to get it back. The smell got so bad that we had to purchase some air sanitizer. AS I SLEPT IT SMELLED AS I SOMEONE HAD URINE ON THE FLOOR AND I KEPT SMELLING IT.. The furniture was old, full on stains and mix matched. The floor had burned makes on it and one of the towels in the restroom was so dingy.ALL I CAN SAY IS I AM SO GLAD I HAD MY LYSOL.

Their website doesn’t do this property justice. Perhaps this was a grand hotel 20 years ago, but we were treated to rude service and filthy accommodations. This is definitely the bargain basement hotel experience on the beach.Upon checking in to our ‘sanitized’ room, we spent an hour cleaning and actually sanitizing surfaces due to the layer of grime on everything. Front desk staff seemed annoyed at being asked questions.We checked out early from our planned trip because we couldn’t take another night of the ancient coil spring mattress. Literally the worst beach experience in SC.

We stayed here for about a week in an oceanfront suit. The room was clean besides the dishes IN THE DRAW which I put together and left on the counter because I’m not going to wash them for someone else, and a couple stick spots on the floor which could be fixed with goo gone instead of left there. It did smell like dog in the hall once while we were there and was pretty gross but I don’t really care about dog smells. The elevators for the upper levels take 10-20 minutes I had to yell down for someone to hit the button when they got off cause we had been waiting so long our last morning to checkout. The pool wasn’t amazing and I didn’t like that the lazy river was indoors and no floatys were provided so if I’m picking a hotel for a pool I wouldn’t get this one again but for the price this stay was great. Due to how things are atm you have to ask for towels ect. Since there are reviews about that

The hotel was decently nice. Our room definitely was not cleaned very well. We did see a few roaches, as well as heard other guests complain about them (but you will get that with most hotels in this area, the staff will tell you they are water bugs. But they are definitely not). We paid for a balcony with a ocean view, but we were stuffed in a conner and could only see the ocean from the right side of our balcony, even though we stayed on the 12th floor. That all being said, the staff was nice, and it really is a nice hotel. You really cant complain much for the price, its a beach front hotel that is super cheap. I just wish the room was cleaned better and that we actually got a full ocean view. Other then that it was a very OK stay.

Ill give it a 2 because its on the beach and has a nice pool, thats it. Bring your own comforter they dont have one on the bed its a sheet and the comforter is a hard thin sheet. The pillows were dirty. The towels had make-up stains so I went downstairs to get new ones and the new ones had visible ear wax and pubes on them. The room was small and smelled bad for the price I expected it to be a lot nicer.

After waiting past check-in for our room to be ready it was not very clean. There was even a dirty towel on the floor. The bathroom looked ok and the bed linens looked clean so we just delt with it.Update: I posted many pictures showing how dirty the room was along with this review and the only one that was approved/remains was the towel on the floor. Hmmmmm? Sure dirt and mold are gross but isnt that the point of sharing a review with pictures? People should be allowed see what they are really paying for, not just the highly edited/staged photos.

Didnt see any sunsets or sunrises I did see ppl in their rooms & dogs barking on the balcony (pet friendly hotel) I wont stay here again unless its my last resort nice area walking distance from Starbucks & liquor store

It was decently priced, but keep in mind it is a pet friendly hotel and the room definitely smelled as such. Room size was nice (King room with a kitchenette), but the mattress was incredibly hard. Dont rely on storing your valuables in the room safe as ours had been previously ripped from the wall and reinserted. It was hanging from two large holes in the drywall. Overall its a mediocre hotel for the price in a great location.

My room was very clean, the staff was professional and polite and I couldnt have had a better view. We had a great time here.

Check in was a nightmare. Had to wait until after 4 to even get into our room, when we were told 3pm. Elevators work sometimes. Parking garage is located across the street and elevator isnt working on one side. Room was clean and layout is nice. They do have a bar at the swimming pool but the drinks are very weak and a total waste of money. DJ was awesome near the pool. Probably wont be staying here again.

Enjoyed the pool but the room was not for me. Seemed old and dingy and the bed was hard as a rock. Like sleeping on the floor. Was only there for 2 nights. I couldnt have stayed any longer.

My room had a horrible smell to it. Realized it was coming from the bathroom. Any time I would flush the toilet or shower the smell worsen. Got maintenance to check it out. They said they would pour something down the drains but that didnt help. Came to have a relaxing weekend with my boyfriend and the smell was unbearable. I had to buy so many candles just to try and mask it. Then one morning we woke up to the sound of a couple fighting and yelling. Overall the stay was ok. The room was nice for the price. I just wish they wouldve accommodated us better due to the horrific smell.

Nice hotel but pet owners were unconsidered of other guest during the night. Yelling at their dogs in hallways and allowing their dogs to continue barking in hallways in wee hours of the morning.

The front desk staff was not friendly at all, the bed had sand in it when we got to our room, the room its self was dirty I always carry Lysol and Clorox wipes when we stay at a hotel and definitely glad I had them, the a/c didnt work well, kids screaming from the balconies, the balconies were so close you had no privacy with the other balconies so we didnt use the balcony hardly since people looked right in your room the minute you opened the sliding door, the welcome gift was a joke a bag that you would give a child so small thought it was a wine bag, people smoking on the balconies cigarettes and weed,.We called down twice about the smoking and the front desk staff just blew it off. Was so bad we had to get the manager involved but at this point we were already soured on our stay.

Good ocean view hotel with kitchen and laundry. Few things need to be improved like maintenance in bathroom. Overall it is good for long vacation. I would recommend this hotel if you are going out to spend some peaceful time with your loved ones.

This has got to be one of the best hotels in Myrtle Beach. The customer service is hands down the best. They were more than willing to help and correct any problem or concern my wife and I had. I will be staying here again. If you have not stayed at this hotel, you should give it a try.

I dont know if its the hotels fault or booking.com however I booked a condo here specifically because of the pictures of the room in the booking I did. When I got there it was not at all what was pictured. Wrong paint. Wrong furniture. Wrong kitchen and bathroom details. I immediately called the front desk and they switched me to a sister hotel down the way. I will review that one separately. The pools here were lovely and clean. Would have preferred staying here had they given me the room I thought I was paying for.

Positive: Location and the pool. Negative: It rained for awhile and the did not open the pool bar so you could not order food as advertised. They need to sweep the balconies, dirty. Each unit should have a broom for sweeping the sand on the floor.

This is the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in. We also did not even have hot water one night! There were brown stains on our blanket, the bathroom smelled strongly of mold and cigarette smoke, there were black, curly hairs in the bathroom, soiled linen piled outside our door, and our keys stopped working both days we were there. Each time we told the front desk about a problem we were met with apathetic stares and no apology.People including staff weren’t wearing masks in the crowded elevators! Cops were in the parking lot dealing with people each time we came back from dinner. I heard other guests complaining to each other about all of the horrible smells in this place. It should be condemned, bulldozed, re-staffed, and rebuilt as something that can safely house guests.

If you just need a quick stay and have a dog, this place works well. If you are looking for a fun vacation hotel for extended time, this one is not it. The layout and setup of the lobby and hotel is terrible. The front lobby looks dingy and it smells. It almost smelled like methane gas. No curb appeal or attempt to make the front of the hotel look nice. The coffee stand was closed our entire stay. The pools didnt look very inviting. The front desk staff personnel didnt really want to be there. Some of them are borderline rude and others just seem lost. The room was great (very spacious and clean on the inside!) and we got a great rate (although booking direct was $50 more than a third party site, which I will never understand). We got to our room and there was dog waste on our balcony, but they were very fast and efficient in getting it taken care of. Would possibly go there again in a pinch, but it would not be my first choice.

I will start by saying we had a wonderful experience here. The ladies at the desk were awesome! We came down for my wife birthday and had a great time. The room was nice and clean. There was some maintenance issues, such as out sink was separated from the countertop but it worked. The sliding glass door was hard to open and shut. But considering the volume of guests, that’s understandable. Noticed some major cracks in the concrete balconies, but they were working on that. We did get tired of hearing the hammer drills and jackhammers all day but again, they have to fix this stuff sometime right. The breakfast buffet was good. Especially for the price. The server was very nice. The pools were very nice. The views were priceless!! They offer free DVD rentals, that was really cool. They offer a nice work out facility and it was very clean. The balcony was covered in bird poop. I feel like that wasn’t cleaned in a long time. Didn’t affect the amazing view tho. They have a nice coffee shop too. Overall, I highly recommend this place. It’s priced just right. And we will come back for sure. Big shout out the the ladies at the desk!! Really nice place.

The rate for the room we got was excellent (off season) and the view was spectacular! The renovations in the room were pretty good as this hotel has been around since I was a child (if not longer). The staff were friendly and courteous. The parking garage is a super tight squeeze though (do not attempt if youre not a good driver in tight spaces or have a large vehicle!).

Very pet friendly, clean, right on the beach. Highly recommend must like dogs.

I love Patricia Grand it had two TVs that way my husband could watch what he wanted to watch as I watch what I wanted to watch The view was beautiful oceanfront it was beautiful I could see the ocean the beach it was beautiful the bedroom was separated from the living room nice kitchen big bath it was everything my husband and I was looking for very clean we really enjoyed this place and if we go back we would want to stay at Patricia Grand!!!

Positive: Great location, nice pool area, and great beach. Negative: The hotel, especially common areas were very dirty. cigarette butts all over the pool area (even though it is supposed to be non-smoking), and the one pool bathroom smelled so bad it nearly gagged me.

Nice stay for money. Great view of ocean though was not ocean front. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Clean room and no smell of animals though this resort allows pets. The only issues were keys sometimes did not work, long waits for elevators, slow check-in, and no full length mirrors for ladies in room. Also microwave is inside the TV stand.

Awesome Resort Hotel. Clean, fun. GREAT LOCATION. We will be back

I love this place. Friendly people, good bar, but the restaurant leaves a bit to be desired. I expect thats more to do with the COVID BS, though.

Rooms arent bad. Small but adequate. The most aggrevating part is the LOUD DJ, by the pool. Complaints to the front desk fall on deaf ears. We were on the 6th floor. With our balcony door closed and curtains drawn (I thought I was here to enjoy the view and sounds of the ocean) the music was still unpleasantly loud.

Positive: Close to restaurants and on the beach Negative: This place is filthy. Stained/animal chewed furniture. Clog sink. Roaches. Moldy carpet balcony The air filter in the ac unit pulls out, it was covered in black mold and a 1/2 inch of dust and dirt. Do not stay here. Smelled musty. Renovation needed!

This hotel is horrible!! It was hours before the television would come on. It smelled like a kennel and to top it all the carpet was wet due to a faulty air conditioner and their remedy was to bring in a dehumidifier. The only one that was cordial and friendly was the maintenance guy from Jamaica ( forgot his name) They did offer to put us in another dog kennel .. A snail moves faster than the elevators.

Positive: NOTHING!!!!!! Negative: The room we stayed in was filthy. Bathroom sink and tub tool at least an hour to drain . The furniture looks like it has been here for 20 years. There was still food in the fridge and freezer from who ever stayed her last. This hotel needs a major update

The Patricia Grand was more than I expected it to be. I was happy with the property amenities, the cleanliness and the nice people.

Front staff was rude and when asked if we could get our room cleaned they just threw towels into our room. Didnt do trash or anything. Don’t stay here if you are renting a car and mind damage either. Where they ask you to park is such a tight squeeze people were ruining their cars left and right but they put a disclaimer that you can’t sue.

Positive: Clean,friendly staff,good location covered parking great food no bedspreads just colored sheet we almost frozen at night but a good place to stay with teenagers !! Negative: No blanket or bedspread but a really good beach experience for all.

Friendly staff and friendly bar staff. The bar made amazing drinks.my husband and I enjoyed our time we stayed 4 days cause we had to get back to our children. I liked that everything was a mile so we could take a nice walk to the aquarium and a walk down to the skywheel and arcade. I liked that there were numerous hot tubs. We had an ocean view king room. It was a beautiful view. The restaurant on the 2nd floor was also very friendly and good food. Definitely going to have to come back for a longer stay next time
