We will definitely be staying again! Staff was very friendly, rooms were very clean a little outdated but overall very nice! Indoor arcade was great to! The beach access was very convenient and a friendly bar right on the beach! Would definitely recommend also all pools were heated inside and out! Definitely a plus!

The resort was great!! The room was clean and roomy..the view was great loved looking out at the ocean..the pools and hot tubs where nice and not packed..The house keepers did a great job with keeping us with clean towels..The bed was comfortable and the employees where nice...would stay here again!!

Beautiful resort. Only got to stay 1 night but I enjoyed my ocean front room. It was spacious & the balcony was big. No outside noise or anything.

We are here celebrating our wedding anniversary, we have been without power for several hours. Its freezing in our room. When we called front desk brandon only explanation was all of level 15 power is out. Not that ocean reef was going to accommodate us even though we paid full prices and are in a cold dark room. Im very disappointed and cold. No heat, no TV, just a cold dark room that we have been stumbling around in all night due to the power. Had we not called front desk to see what was going on we wouldnt not have known. Not one person has checked on us or even attempted to give us info of whats to expect next. This have ruined our whole vacation Im so disappointed hopefully we dont get colds from shivering all night with no heat. It has been 7 hours since we had power. We are definitely cutting this trip short weather we lose money or not at this point I just rather go back home such a waste of our time and money front desk clerk from last night was not accommodating at all what do ever did not show any concern that we were cold or that the kids were in a room without power definitely will not be returning to this property.

They were not transparent about the welcome gift which was really a sales pitch to buy a vacation club. They did not wait until I texted out to begin cleaning my room. There was a nice ocean view. The carpet leading to the room should be replaced. The lobby area was beautiful.

Good location. Rooms are so so. Good use some upgrades. The pandemic may be a factor though as Im sure they are struggling as is most of the travel industry.

This was our first year staying here and we will definitely be back!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and the view was amazing. The breakfast buffet was very good and also had a big variety. The only complaint was that we werent granted our early check in request but that is to be expected on a busy day. I also knew when I made the request that it may not be granted. If you want a family friendly, clean, hotel then this is the way to go!! 5 stars all day long! Thanks Ocean Reef for a great stay! Loved it!! Our room with an ocean view was perfect. We spent a lot of time just watching the waves. The beach was very well lite at night for walking. It was quite and extremely friendly and helpful. I think what we liked best was that it was pretty much self contained. You didnt have to leave for anything. All the facilities were clean and open and ready for use. We would not hesitate to recommend and we definitely will be returning. Lots and lots of bang for your buck!!!!

The hotel itself was beautiful. It felt very tropical and the grounds were very well kept. Our room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was only 10.95 and aside from the food, being able to sit outside and watch the waves roll in was a very peaceful experience. The pools were also nice and clean and the poolside bar was a great added amenity. The only thing that kept me from a five star review was the customer service at the front desk was awful. The check in process took forever and having a line full of people during covid just didn’t seem to bother the front desk and management. Over all beautiful hotel, we will be back during off season when it is not so busy.

There was a line at check-in but it moved swiftly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good but due to Covid restrictions if you dont get there early you will have to wait in line. Pool bar was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Ocean Reef Resort is a great place to stay in Myrtle Beach. The beds were super comfortable. We had a three-bedroom condo and we had plenty of room. The balcony had a wonderful view of the pool and ocean. There was easy access to the beach and showers to rinse off after. The pool was very nice and clean. It had a very nice temperature. The hotel lobby and hallways were very clean as was the condo. The only reason why I didnt give it five stars was because our toilet in the master bedroom kept breaking and it took maintenance 3 days to come and look at it. By the time we were checking out on the last day the toilet was broken again. If youre going to eat at the restaurant I recommend getting the burger. Everything else was not good. When I come back to Myrtle Beach I definitely would stay here again.

The ocean front room was one of the best sites ever. Watching the sun rise from the balcony was amazing. Great breakfast as well in the morning. The only downside, in the kid pool area as well as the pool, minimal to no social distancing with not a mask in sight. If youre out and about the town til late, parking will become scarce. Other than that, fitness area was nice as well as the cleanliness of the rooms.

We had the best experience with Ocean Reef Resorts. The property was clean. the description was accurate, & Ocean Reef’s customer service has been outstanding. They made booking and vacationing so easy. We will definitely be using them again to book future Beach Vacations!

Great place. Front Desk Check in was a great experience with Amber English! Only complaint~ Tub was clogged up, ask for maintenance on Saturday morning~ no one ever showed after 2 request, so we check out Sunday morning with still a clogged tub.

Had a great time at the resort. The rooms were clean and no issues with the hotel. There was fireworks every night just on the beach, as well as a DJ in the HUGE pool area with lazy river and kid water features that would try to get the guests to dance and enjoy themselfs. There was a fun karaoke vibe during the day around the restraunt and bar. The location of the resort was in a safer area, and did not have any issues in that regard. Only issue we had was with parking and checking in which took almost 2 hours. I highly suggest you call ahead and verify the room will be ready by check-in time, so you can plan around if it isnt ready. Overall we had a great time and would come back.

Last night of my 10 night stay, would love to come back, but noticed video surveillance cameras being installed along with police officers hanging out where beach umbrellas are stored at dark, not to mention pot smell all around, & loudguest, hope they correct some of this if I come in the near future

Let me start by saying that it makes me sad to leave this review. Although the staff that we interacted with were amazing, thats where the excitement ends. Our room was not ready when it was time to check in so we had to wait in a hallyway with all of our luggage - not a huge deal, just a tad annoying. When we finally did get up to our room the cleanliness was not what it should be for the price we paid for the stay. I would compare it to a cheap motel with a good view. This isnt even the worst of it sadly. After a long drive and some much needed ocean therapy, all we wanted was a good nights sleep - Not gonna happen in this place (or any hotel near it). We woke up to the loud booms of fireworks being set off on the beach outside of our room. This went on from about 12:30am-4am so we were completely exhausted. It seems that this is a nightly event as it happened the second night too. Needless to say, we left Myrtle Beach and just came home.Pros: The staff are really nice, close to the beach, bed is comfortable.Cons: Lack of cleanliness, you WILL NOT get any sleep here, seriously overpriced for what you get.

I have stayed here several times and had a good stay each time. They are definitely safety conscious at this point in time. Great restaurant on site as well. Try the burgers theyre delicious!

Wonderful place to vacay! So many amenities. Only complaint is that umbrellas and chairs had to be rented for $35 and were only available until 4pm. Hotel should offer reduced price for guests. Loved everything else. Definitely will return.

Very nice hotel !! I wish more guests were wearing masks during the pandemic, but it is nice to see that the employees are wearing them. I just wish I had a room with an open balcony versus a solid one, and that my room was not above the washer/dryer unit because I hate the smell of it and the heat that comes from it. Little weird that there is a carpet on the balcony....But those are Minor things that I know to ask for the next time I come here. Definitely worth the price you pay for being right on the beach. Staff is very kind.

The management is 100% excellent. From front desk to housekeeping ladies- all prompt, courteous and friendly. Room was very clean and The view of the ocean was so beautiful in 9th floor ( room 912) was perfect for me- only thing I can hear was the serene ocean waves as I opened the sliding door to watch and listen to the ocean until I fall asleep which was complete perfect bliss! I will go back!

Long weekend getaway for my husband and I. The resort was perfectly located and the staff was great. Great rate for the off season. We enjoyed it very much.

The room I was in needed new furniture. The carpet was wrinkle up and smelled bad! This hotel room needs to be updated. Going out on the balcony is a metal strip that sits up high on the floor. Between the room and the balcony. I Triped and stumble over it. Other than that it was a nice view from the balcony. Nice breakfast at their restaurant. This hotel has a pool that children will love! Hot tub and game room!

We have a wonderful trip, we had a 4 bedroom oceanfront condo that gave plenty of rooms for all of us. A few little things that was not up to par, but not enough to ruin our trip. The living room and master bedroom was oceanfront, two of the other bedrooms was angle ocean views. The breakfast buffet was great as always, the access to the beach was very convenient. Will definitely return in the near future.

This was our first time here and we enjoyed it. Very clean and beautiful areas. The pool area was great and the kids pool area is cute. Are room was nice but will need updating soon but everything worked and beds were so comfortable. The downstairs restaurant was comfortable with a great view, breakfast food was ok. Amazing hotel, best ocean front room that you can get in a afforable price in myrtle beach.cafe - breakfast buffet, and the banana boat lounge cocktails are all very good. Reason for 4 stars is lifts were crowded and noone was wearing masks . we asked for a late checkout as i had an interview and we offered to pay. but the lady at the reception didnt agree. i thought its rude considering its a sunday and everyone is checking out and we checking out an hour later shouldnt hurt anyone . Also ppl were waiting for an hour to get escalator as everyone was checking out and the escalators were full.

Everything was nice and updated. The staff was friendly and let us check in early and check out late. The pools are amazing. My 8 year old son had a blast!

I have stayed at many many hotels/resorts in Myrtle Beach and have yet to find our perfect place until now. We got a 3 bedroom angle suite, it was amazing. Everything was very clean, modern and comfortable. The pool area was awesome, my kids loved the water slide, the only complaint there is that it was frequently closed through out the day when it should have been open. We ordered lunch from the onsite restaurant and was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was for such a reasonable price. All the necessary precautions were taken for covid, the hallways and elevators were extremely clean. It was just a very pleasant experience and I will absolutely be back.

Staff is very friendly and respectful. Rooms we entered were filled with cigarette odor so we could not stay a single night, never unpacked, but NO refund given. Looked like a great place for fun if you dont mind the cigarette odors. Other rooms may be sanitzed well. The rooms we entered were not smoke free as advertised.

This resort has a FANTASTIC location right on the beach. It is pretty far from downtown, but you can still get there easily. The pool area was great. The lazy river was okay, but there is practically no current at all. The food at Ocean Reef is great, and well worth the money. The staff is friendly, and the cleaning lady was very nice! The bathrooms need some updates, and the balconies do as well. You have a wonderful view of the ocean from your room, and the cleanliness of the hotel is great. Overall a good experience. I will definitely stay again if we are ever back in Myrtle Beach.

Overall the people here were nice. We had issues in our room and they worked hard to fix them. The staff at the breakfast bar was top notch and friendly. The place is a little beaten up and had some items that looked worn. For a golfers trip, this place was a good place to settle for a few days.

I recommend this hotel. It was very clean and enough towels for everyone. Balcony was a good size, enough room for my family of four to all stand on, with an amazing view. Shower curtain was kind of dirty. When we went to the sea housekeeping went by our room to clean it and did a pretty good job but they forgot to empty our trash can, trash was piled sky high. An improvement I would recommend is to get slightly bigger trash cans. Walls are rather thin, i could hear everything the people staying in the room next to us were saying, I hate to say it, but it sometimes it sounded very inappropriate in there, as if they were trying to engage in sexual intercourse. I could hear their TV going, and i could hear the people staying in the room below us through the air conditioner. People staying in the room above us stomping around, I thought the ceiling was gonna come down. Loud kids and teenagers running up and down the hallways at 10 o’clock at night. But overall other than noise and trash can too small, very good hotel and will definitely return in future trips to Myrtle Beach.

The pool area is great. Theres lots of water activities that kids would love. The hotel rooms are not updated and are not well kept. The carpet in the room and hallway is dingy and dirty. The floors in the room dirty. The chairs dirty and stained. The rooms are nasty. I will not return. They are actually trying to sell the hotel so I doubt they are actively trying to invest in the upkeep of the rooms at this point.

We arrived Sunday at 430 after driving from Ohio. Took an hour to get checked in. When I made the reservation I asked for a room above floor 6 and one with a railed balcony. This allows for a better view of the ocean. We were given a room on 2nd floor that was very dirty and the patio door was hard to open. Joy a manager there helped me as I was in tears at this point. She took me to her office while she looked for a room. The place was packed. She gave us a very nice 3 room suite with no extra charge. I knew the minute I walked into this room this is the Ocean Ree8we had been staying at since the mid 90s. Thank you Joy for coming to the rescue. You were my hero this werk.

Went to check if snack and Bar is opened. It was closed . No one was at the front desk to check with guest. May be its because of Corona. Because when everything is opened. Its very relaxing place and I loved it.

This resort was great. I really liked my stay here. Just a few things 1 the balcony was way too small. If you had more ten 2 people on the balcony it was a very tight squeeze. I did not like that at all. The other thing that disappointed me was the maid service. We had maid service 1 day out of the 5 days that we were there. This was a big surprise to me because this was a very beautiful well kept resort.

Three stars might be generous for most people, but honestly the people who work at this property are great. They are friendly an accommodating when they can be. However, the rooms leave a lot to wish for. In our three bedroom, the toilet ran all night, the refrigerator didnt work, one of the sliding glass doors to the balcony didnt lock, there were bugs (baby palmettos) in the kitchen and one of the rooms barely got any AC during the night. When we tried to share these issues with staff via their text communication, both times I was completely ignored. They were responding and asking question prior to the complaints and then both times just stopped responding. They did send up an incredibly sweet maintenance man to look at the toilet, but that was it. We had 4 adults and 4 kids, and honestly the fridge was the most frustrating! I might stay here again since many of the units are privately owned. But, I would be hesitant.

Ive been to places all over Myrtle Beach. This is the best Ive been to so far. The room is fantastic. The pool area is fantastic. The people there are fantastic.Youll find a rec room for the kids. For the adults, theres a decently set up gym and a bar to unwind to at night.This particular section of beach in front of the resort is the nicest Ive seen in Myrtle. You get a horseshoe style view to both North and South Myrtle that seems exotic somehow.Also, if youre a drone enthusiastic, you are far enough away from any airports to let the drone rip.This place is clean, well laid out and fun for everyone. Overall, excellent spot.

Checked in 8.18.20 and spent one night here. Clean Friendly and taking all the covid precautions. Hand sanitizer every where and the staff was always cleaning and properly wearing masks. Would stay here again. We dont have kids but there is a water slide and play area along with an arcade.

The place looks nice from the outside. The room was dated. Light bulbs were out or missing. Very dim and dark. The ocean view was if you cranked your neck you could see it. So that was misleading. The room was grungy and not maintained. For what we paid I was disappointed. I would not stay here again.

The staff was very nice. It was clean. The food at the restaurant was good. I love the laundry room and it was cheap to use. My kids liked the water slide and Lazy River and two pools. The free movie rental is a nice way to end the night. They kept us in clean towels without having to ask each day. We liked the location. The things we didn’t like was game room needs more games. The parking lot is up the street a little ways and the room wasn’t ready at 4pm at check in time. It’s a big hotel with a lots of business. We loved the music during the day at by the pool. The bar by the pool is open all day and u can order food or drinks there. We will definitely stay here again.

A nice place to stay, BUT, CALL - do not book online! Rooms are misrepresented online. They are updated and clean, but what the resort calls ocean front is not. The staff are VERY nice and very helpful. Lots of things for kids to do. Overall a nice place.

When we first arrived, we had an issue with our room booked through a 3rd party booking agency. But the manager, Ashley quickly resolved the issue and made sure we had a great stay. I would recommend this resort, especially for their customer service. The resort is exactly as pictured, if not better. This was the first time at this resort and it will not be the last. A special Thank you to Ashley and the front desk staff for keeping customer service a top priority!!!

The breakfast staff are very friendly and kind. Our stay was not to the typical standard, maybe because of covid. The room was never serviced. We ran out of toilet paper, coffee, clean towels and garbage over filled. Also we only had sheets on the bed and not blankets. The bathroom door was very dirty. They did accommodate our floor level. All the employees I encountered had their masks on properly. We like the location and how close the hotel is to the water. Suggestion to take garbage bags, blankets, coffee and if you plan on using the kitchen your own dishes. No dishes are available but probably due to covid.

We were very pleased with the location of the resort. Employees at check in were great and very helpful, Not so much at the pool but the pools alone were fantastic!!! The rooms were nice, just a little more cleaning needed but overall cant complain for the price! We will return.

This place is meh lol. It’s not terrible but it’s not somewhere I’d book again and again. The amenities are nice. Pool, bar, views are good. The rooms aren’t super clean and they are really outdated. As soon as you walk into the lobby it smells. Like the building is old smelling. The rooms smell and are a little damp. The room wasn’t like dirty but my sheets had a few stains and the chairs in my room had stains. Idk I just feel like a lot of these hotels need renovations and updates.

OMFG.... I booked a room on the 16 Floor...(There are the only 4 room on this floor.If you have ever stayed in one, you would know that no other room can compare.)come to check in at 2:30pm and was told that it wasnt ready and made me pay the remainder of the balance. I go to get groceries and come back at 4 ( check in time) to wait in line for a hour, only to be told that the room was overbooked and I would have to go in a room on the 9th floor. Which is a 3 bedroom, it is 2 of us. And the view of the street is bull. After fussing with the incopmitent front desk people. The manager (African lady with a bad weave), Gets snappy and asked do you want the room or do you want your money back. I drove 4hrs to get here and at 5pm at this point where would we stay. So Im paying the same price for a room I hate. I feel so derespected and unhappy at this point. We have spent so much money at this resort, over the years.

Clean, excellent housekeeping staff. Only complaint is Joey or Joy (a lady whom I believe is a manager there) at the front desk. Shes very ride and dismissive. Everyone else at the front desk was extremely willing and helpful. Ocean view was very nice. Close detail was paid to the pools and jacuzzi by the employee in charge (an older gentleman). Absolutely AMAZING!!!! We booked incorrectly and we were worried we wouldn’t be able to stay :( well Jasmine (girl at the front) and Latoya (the manager) got me straightened QUICKLY! Our room? Absolutely FANTASTIC and could easily sleep 8-10 massive and super SUPER clean pots pans and soaps and plenty of towels. So much swimming space and maybe 30 steps from the ocean. I couldn’t say anything bad about it. Very good price. We plan to come stay again next week. Absolutely amazing

The staff was so accommodating and so friendly, the rooms are huge! And very nice! The pools are clean and very nice! The restaurants are very beautiful and the food was awesome! We have def found our hotel for future visits with our 3 boys!! We will def be back!

I really enjoyed myself. The place is beautiful and breakfast is delicious. We met Ms Donna a guest who has been visiting the resort for many many years and her friend Maggie (Marie Margaret) who has been working there for just as many years. They were amazing very funny and charming. I hope to see them again.

This is an amazing resort! The website does not show it any justice. They have an out door pool, indoor pool, lazy river, 2 kids swim areas with a slide, 4 jacuzzi tubes, and a walk out to the beach. The facility is clean. The outside bar/restaurant staff are amazing! I want to give a shout out to Ashley, the night time manager, she is amazing. She’s gone above and beyond to make my stay nice for my family and friends. She needs more credit than she gets. Her customer Service is by the best and should get recognized for it. We will most definitely be coming back in the future. They have handled the Covid the best they can and still rocked it in customer service for their customers!

Overall, our 4 day stay was very nice. The view from the balcony was amazing. Very comfortable beds. Only had one problem when the key scanner had to be repaired. I felt since we wasted 2 hours of our day waiting to get into the room, we should have at least gotten a complementary breakfast, but we received nothing.

It would have been nice if they didnt charge my wifes credit card twice which left us no money to enjoy our vacation thank you very much. My wife is the one that booked our Hotel stay through your website. She paid the deposit through the website, then was required to pay the remaining balance at check in. At that time, she used our credit card. Your computer system didnt show it was accepted on your end, even though the card reader showed accepted. She even showed them her bank account that it was taken out. The assistant manager even took a picture. Once we got to our room, they called her and made her come down once again and swipe her card again, resulting in the amount being taken out a second time. Thanks to that error on your end, we were left with limited funds for the rest of our vacation. The 2nd charge did not drop off her account until the night before we checked out.

Positive: Room was updated & clean. Negative: Terrible parking! No availability. I couldnt find parking,and wasted time driving from lot to lot. I did not like the pool area. It was too small, and the guests were crammed together. The pool needs more space.

Loyalty does not matter here. Always request a certain room (or as high up as possible) a year ahead and couldnt that this year. S owe ended up on 5th floor. Not very happy with that.
