My family has been coming here for a few years now. We first stayed here in 2017, during Memorial Day weekend when EVERY other hotel on the NC/SC coast was booked up, and thankfully they had room for us. They really saved us that weekend! This is an older hotel, but its actually in pretty good condition. I can tell the owners are doing updates on the rooms. We always get the oceanfront suite. Our most recent stay was June 2020 and our suite had newly updated flat screen TVs in the bedroom and living room area. The refrigerator and microwave in the kitchenette looked new, also. All the walls and doors looked like they have been recently painted and in good condition, and the shower had great water pressure. A/C units worked in both rooms and housekeeping checked on us everyday. If you are a simple person, you will enjoy this hotel. The front desk women are sweet and always remember us.

The front desk associate was great. Clean, spacious room. We were down for an interview the next morning. We were late coming from the interview. The hotel called to check that we were OK and held our room for us. It was a pleasant experience.

We arrived for a last minute get away and did not make any reservations. There were 5 of us. They let us look at a room that would fit our group, which is spacious, clean, tidy, nice and the amazing balcony view of the ocean. The price was better than the other 4 places we inquired in the immediate area.This place is wonderful! Ill not look elsewhere because this is my favorite vaca spot! The beach is literally a very short distance from our balcony. The lady at the desk was sweet, kind and gracious. She never offered any negativity towards the places i told her i went to visit that were not nice or good. Thats good peoples and made a lasting impression on me. I will share this experience with the highest regard!

I love this hotel. I always have a blast here an the price is great. There were no bugs in my room which is always a plus. The front staff is very helpful. The ocean fronts are a great plus for the price. This would be a great family vacation pick. Since I have found it, I dont have any other hotel options in myrtle beach. Pets are allowed. I just took one star away because they do not offer dishes to guest anymore and they do not have an website to reserve on. So bring your own if you are planning a long visit and want home cooked food!!! The only place I stay that can accommodate my big family.

NOT a resort. A motel. Will never stay again. The manager was very nice BUT, Omg, the people that stay here are NASTY!!!! I could see them peeing and spitting off the balcony and littering, drinking and smoking weed constantly. It would be better if they only rented out to FAMILIES. As for the room... Didnt see bedbugs, but the kitchen had some roaches. Dirty countertops and kitchen floor and fridge not working at all. Lots of water damage to cabinets. AC worked well. First room had a clean covered king bed, no TV, second room a clean covered queen, and a dirty uncovered mattress on the pull out couch. Stains on carpet. No elevator. Indoor Pool and hot tub not working. Outdoor pool works and clean. phone in room doesnt work. No kitchen utensils are provided. I could look past most of this because Ive stayed at cheap motels just fine... But the nasty people that rent alongside, I cant deal with. Would rather stay at a different motel that caters to clean families, not dirty filthy drunks and addicts. But hey, thats what MB is turning into anyway right? I mean, I found a bloody drug needle at the park today.

Apartment style right at the beach

This isnt a 5 star place. The ocean front rooms and for the price, it cant be beat. The staff is always kind and attentive. We stay at least once a year.

The Staff was nice, especially night shift. We ended up being a few shy minutes late for check-out heading back to the resort from breakfast and they called us to make sure we werent lock up. Lol Thanks for caring Property could use tlc but they have a kitchen and big rooms and its right off the beach. Fair rates for what they have.

I’ve stayed at south seas numerous of times...& every time they was very respectful & nice at the front desk...the room was good for the price...but I really love the king & Queen size beds that’s in the ocean front rooms...the beds was sooo comfy...it’s in a great location as well

This hotel is amazing. They took us in after the Polynesian originally screwed us over. I love this hotel and the staff is magnificent. All super friendly and the rooms are very clean and kept up. Very peaceful as well, I made room reservations before I checked out.

Honestly, you get what you pay for. As far as the hotel staff front desk was nice, housekeeping kinda sucked. We asked for fresh towels and waited over an hour to get them. The room we had 2 full beds, fridge stove and sink and of course the bathroom..our beds were clean. The carpet was pretty disgusting, your shoes literally stuck to it while walking. The stove was pretty nasty as well. And the bathroom was gross the tub still had hair from ppl prior to us. I would still go back just because the price was cheap..my bed was clean thats what matters most..

I remember when I came here with my family last year we had a reservation for a different hotel but that other hotel was disgusting. So we went to south seas to get a reservation for our family. This hotel is beautiful and the room service is also awesome. I would recommend a family to come here.

The front desk clerk Joe was outstanding checking my family in when we came to Myrtle Beach for a quick stay on our vacation traveling the coast, we were treated so well by entire staff we settled to stop traveling when we found this diamond in the rough. We wouldve like to been able to use the indoor pool & jacuzzi but Joe explained that the maintenance team were working to refurbish the pool & jacuzzi. Nice view on oceanfront. Fix the pool &a jacuzzi

We came here in the middle of the night after getting to the original hotel we booked with Priceline which was false advertising These people were pleased to work with us to make sure we enjoyed our time here at Myrtle Beach, great clean and quiet. My peace and joy returned when we got to our room! Would definitely recommend!

At south seas right now having a great time. Rooms are clean room service is great. The people at front desk are wonderful even made sure other family members that were coming down had rooms and would be taken care of. Rooms are afforable and upgrades are nice and more to come. I have nothing but great comments about this place these people are so down to earth, friendly, helpful over all good people My husband and i walked up and down the strip looking for a hotel to Accommodate 8 people so my parents could have there own room and my husband and i could have our own room we arrived on july 2, 2018 @ the polynesian hotel and it was the worst hotel i have ever seen i walked up to South seas and ask her if she had a room and told her what we was looking for she said yes i asked to look at the room before i paid any money we didnt want to get screw over again she was more than glad to give me the keys to both rooms right beside each other the rooms smelled really clean and we looked at everything beds bathroom counters all and there was nothing wrong very clean and no bed bugs no roaches no insects at all. Yeah the pull out couch was not prefect had some stains but that was it nothing else wrong with the room. My step daughter got the tip of her finger slammed in the door on the outside and cut her finger on the tip off because the balcony door was open and we had to take her to the hospital everyday there people asked us how our daughter was and all the maids and maintenance people we come in contact with asked how she was these people are friendly and seem to care i will definitely come back to this hotel

We stayed here during spring bike week. We had an oceanfront room. Great price for a room with a full size fridge, stove, and private balcony. We will be back in 2018!!

Very nice, clean & quiet.

Went there on 6/25/16. Customer service was poor and the rooms were non smoking. However, staff were smoking in the room. Was given a key to check room out. Non smoking room but ashes were in the floor, which had not been vacuumed. We said okay to the room. Paid went back. I was tired it was 1 am. I pulled the comforter back and the first thing i saw was mature BED BUG. WE left within 5 minutes of being settled in. We back and informed the staff and he just gave me the money back. No hesitation or explanation. Sad.

My family and I stayed the night while our house was being bombed for bugs.We got a great deal on our accomadations; ocean front two bedroom suite. The first room had a king sized bed TV and dresser with a closet. Second room had TV a smaller bed, a couch that could turn into a bed, coffee table, as well as a small table and two chairs.The kitchen came with a small refrigerator and freezer, stove, sink,toaster, microwave, coffee machine and a few dishes.Bathroom was decent sized and in good condition. Only thing I didnt like was the bad spot in the bathtub. We had to avoid stepping on it because it felt like our feet may have gone through it had we stood in that one spot too long.

Had a wonderful time the receptionist, they where GREAT very RELAXING GREAT PLACE TOO VACATE!!!

This is the best place I think I have ever stayed the workers will joke with you and I loved how are back door would be right in the pool that was so fun but if anyone knows plz let me know Im trying to move to the beach for the summer and would love to stay here for the summer if anyone knows if they do that plz let me know I really want to stay here

Walked in with my wife to ask about rates on Friday Oct 24, 2014 and the lady at the desk acted like it was a problem to even talk to us. I asked when would a manager be in to talk to after about 5 minutes of asking she finally said no manager would be in til Monday. We finally left and went somewhere else. If this is the way they treat people that are trying to be paying customers, I am surprised they are still in business. After being treated this way by these people I wouldnt let my dog stay there.BTW if this place is a resort, I am the richest man on earth. This is no resort it is nothing but a small little roach motel that happens to be ocean front.

Great and wonderful experience very nice rooms alot more than expected friendly staff. Worth the money. NO BED BUGS or ROACHES all lies. I WILL be coming back for years to come!!!!!!

I come to this motel ALOT an I love the upgrades in the ocean front rooms!! A few complaints are the pool is NEVER open! They have 3 an one 1 open an NO hot tub!! Also no shampoo at all they have a in room coffere maker but no coffee..The parking is REALLY bad!! I had a hard time finding a spot!! Finally employs not friendly AT ALL mostly front desk clerk .Also its not a Resort an they want you to pay rest fees.. Rooms could use more work, paint chips were falling off ceiling..Price was way too high for a room that needs this mug wirk!!

This hotel is a dump! Roaches and bed bugs.Got to my room(which smell like smoke) and then proceded to check my bed first.The sheets and blanket was stain with look like old blood.Front desk was rude and very grumpy.i went to front desk after 40 minutes in the room, to request my money back.They refused and made up some story. As a black person, they were very racist and told me I was lying. Please dont waste your money, the whole staff is racist, (including the two older women on front desk)especially the owner and his unprofessional wife carolyn(who i saw smoking in a vacant room later that day but management is never around to be found (the whole family lives on property)..The rooms are old and not properly clean . everything is worn, out dated, and honestly disgusting. I would not waste my time and money.Minority races should not spend any money with these racist disgusting trash.I have never experience, such hateful people. Never will I, experience situations like this again.i will be calling Dhec about the unsanitary environment at this hotel and the procedures and policies used for guests.i was force to pay for a room, I wasnt satisfied with.These people are racist theives.
