We have been staying at the sea mist for years but havent been in about 6 years. Staff are not friendly, make you wait till after 3pm for a 2pm check in. The beds were hard as rocks. One bed in our unit was leaning. Ceiling leaked from heat and air system. Dont ask for toilet paper. No bed bugs as others are saying. Not the place we were use to. Will not book again. Must have changed owners or something.

Dirty so so dirty. Elevator is broke. Sheets are dirty. Beer bottles under the bed, trash in the refrigerator from people before us. Floor is absolutely disgusting. I will never stay at this roach motel again.

The best part was check in after we found where to doit. Casey was the friendliest person I have ever met she made what might have been mine and my husbands last vacation together ( hes on hospice) the best one ever. Room was very clean and had all the comforts of home

I’ve been there twice now. Good view and it wasn’t the worst hotel, but it’s definitely not a resort. They have a lot of spread out buildings with a few different choices a of pools. Try reserving a room online, because they might tell you they’re out of rooms when they have them. Other than that, it’s just another place to stay while at the beach if want privacy.SUGGESTIONS: Bring disinfectant to wipe things down, and something to clean the sticky floors. The hotels aren’t cleaning the same because of COVID so make sure you’re prepared for that.

Needs alot of work. Employees need to pull there pants up. Front desk in afternoon and on nights are very rude. Cleaning people will curse you out and management does nothing at all. Guest services dont care about handicap guest and let people park in the handicap spots. Pictures that are on there site are old and do not show what is really there.

Been here for 4 days. Its really run down looking and small, I dont recommend If your looking for something high quality. On the plus side the staff has been so friendly and helpful. My kids have had a blast! We are close to everything. And the beach is literally 20ft from our back door. Theres not a roach problem so Its not a 1or 2. Just a bit outdated.

I checked in at 4pm. My room wasnt ready. Was told Ill get a call in 30 minutes, waited for 45. Room wasnt ready. Upgraded to an ocean front but first floor. The front of the unit was full of slow draining rain water. So it was hard to get in. A few hours passed and the ceiling started to leak water and drip all over the floor. Went BACK to check in. Gave us another room. Went up to 16th floor to check it out. It wasnt cleaned and blankets all over the place. Went BACK again. Gave us another room a floor below the last one. Security checked it out and said it was fine except it needed comforters. Finally moved everything, without a cart up from the flooded 1st floor ocean front to the 15th floor room we got. Finally settled a little bit after midnight. 8 HOURS TO CHECK IN TOTAL. Lost that entire day on an already tight vacation schedule.Ill be talking to the front office again soon and hope to get something out of this. I dont want to be that guy, but I have to be. Someone has to be held accountable.Ive stayed her several times without issue. This was awful awful awful.

Absolutely disgusting place to stay. Bath tub was full of hair and sand, sheets were dirty, floors filthy, fridge looked about 50 years old and smelled. The chair was wet and had food under the pillows.Very noisy, lots of loud music and people doing drugs. Would highly recommend not staying here!

Room wasn’t very clean, phone in room didn’t work, remote broken. When I called to tell the front desk about the broken items they responded with “we know” Sheets didn’t look clean, very wrinkled and stained. Had to go get clean sheets myself. Housekeeping does the bare minimum. We heard servers other guests complain about how nasty their rooms were too. If you ask for your money back you won’t get all of it so we stuck it out. Outside of the room even worse. Trash everywhere you turned around. Dirty socks, maxi pads on the ground and much more. Urine in elevators and corners by the vending machines. Called housekeeping to ask for more towels 2 hours later NO towels. Overall the photos they show you look nothing like what it is. It’s very run down. Not worth what you’re paying. We will never choose this place again or recommend it to anyone!

We payed $200 a night for 2 rooms for 5 nights. When we got to the hotel automatically you can see trash all over the ground of the parking lot, entrance to the beach, and pool area. When we went up to the rooms the elevators were tiny and writing all over the inside. Once we got to the rooms right when we opened the door you can smell the most horrible smell, the floors had dirt or food all over, the beds were stained and clearly not cleaned, there was rotting food in the fridge, nasty dishes in the sink, and the whole bathroom was a disgusting mess. We were told our room was ready and cleaned and when we asked the cleanjng staff they told us our room wasnt even on their list. They also told us we would have at least a part view of the ocean if we looked to the side of our balcony but you couldnt see the ocean at all.It looked NOTHING like the pictures they have online.

This place doesnt deserve any stars. Its filthy, Management incompetent and prices for what I booked were outrageous! I paid almost $300. For only one night because the water park feature that is equally disgusting as the the rooms. Please, read the reviews and dont take them lightly!!!!!!There are other better real hotels in the area. Dont fall for the false advertisement. You will regret it!

The website made the property seem clean and welcoming, very deceiving. We were disgusted when we walked into our room and hit with warm air, the AC didnt work. We had no shower curtain and there was a bar of used soap in the shower. We called down to the hotel several times, could never get ahold of anyone. I started having an allergy flare-up, later I noticed there was animal hair all over the floor near the walls. They gave us a shower curtain to hang ourselves and told us the AC would be fixed. That didnt happen so we requested to get a new room. The new room was great but we spent an hour of our short vacation packing and moving all of our things to a new floor. The elevator only work sometimes, the halls were filled with trash. The starewell smelled like old urine. I never leave reviews but this was our first vacation as a family of three and I truly feel like the bad experience at the hotel caused us to have a lot of frustration and we werent able to enjoy it like we should have. Maybe the other hotels on the sea must property arent as disgusting but we stayed at the sea mist: sand castle and it was awful. Every person we ran into as we were using elevator had horrible things to say about their stay as well.

This was the most unclean place I have ever stayed at . No toilet paper no wash rags no garbage bags or trash can, which was left outside our room on arrival like it was thrown . No one answered the phone when I called to get toilet paper and cloths had to buy my own and cleaning products to cleanse the tub area cause it definitely was not done properly or at all

This place is horrible. The installation is awful, don’t stay in any of the SEA MIST building, the rooms, elevator, hallways, everything is a mess.The bathroom is too small, the iron table is small, WiFi doesn’t work. It’s very cheap but it doesn’t worth the cheapness. Only thing good it front of the ocean.

Elevator broken. Hallways filthy. Card readers require you to insert card multiple times. The water park didnt have enough staff so the kiddie pool was open. But... Its on the beach and you get what you pay for.

First the bad... The rooms could use some updating and maintenance. The elevators are a bit slow.Now for the good... The price is right if you reserve directly from the hotels website. Great hospitality. Easy access to the beach. A short walk to the family kingdom. Great place to stay for a family vacation.

This place is disgusting. Bed bugs and roaches and very dirty rooms. Needs to be upgraded and remanaged. The pics of the resort online are from another resort. Staff told us that. Stove quit working with us also. Dont stay here.

Updated 2019:After 4 years of customer dedication to Sea Mist...We will not be returning.This resort has significantly went down every year we have returned.This will be our final year.The price is great but I would definitely pay more to stay at a place that appreciates their customers.We have numerous complaints...maybe I will have the time to update in the future (so numerous)...right now I will just leave the pictures.Our family will not be returning...I do thank you Sea Mist for 4 years of Memories...we did have good times...but also a lot of ruined/wasted ones just because of you.--------------Great place. Great Value for the money.Pools open at 9am but not cleaned til 10:30am kinda put a damper on our day while we waited another 2 hours to get in.

Omgosh...beware is all I can say.on line it is advertised as a resort.it is actually a bunch of old rundown hotels .and I do mean run down.run way down.it was just a horrible experience that included roaches.i cant say not one good thing about it.they house their non English speaking staff on site.which just happened to be directly above our room.so we were up from 4am on.even with a do not disturb and a check out in 3 days the house keeping still woke us up every morning at 9am.the roof is rotten they would not refund us.they did offer to move us to another building which was WAY worse than the one we was in. dirty water in the bath tub.used soap in the soap dish in the shower.half empty gator aid bottle under one of the beds.just awful..unless it is all you can affordable DO NOT STAY HERE. I had no choice but to rate it one star. Negative zero stars is not an option...just an awfully place.

Nice resort, right on the beach! But it needs to be cleaned, from the rooms to the facade. Also rooms needs to be updated, when you step in certain places the floors feel like they are about to cave in. Lamp shade has a stain on it and the vents need to be dusted.

AWFUL experience! We only take one vacation a year, and it was literally ruined! It was our anniversary/4th of July vacation, so even more depressing. Horrible costumer service. Literally every one I talked to was rude. Was hung up by the supervisor, and after calling numerous times for room service to clean the room, they only came by ONCE! Claimed to be out of towels, pillows, etc. but left the house keeping door opened and seen them piled. It was pure laziness! Very dirty as well! Came in to a huge piece of bubble gum in plain site under the table, and my two year old could’ve easily found it and choked! Will NEVER be back to this hotel!

Horrible.. Pools dirty.. Charged a fee of $22 to register to a room thats been paid for .. Which was never mentioned on booking.com Smh.. Just a very dirty place.. Would not go back.. Rather pay an extra $100 to stay elsewhere...

Wonderful hotel. On the beach, beautiful view. Everyone at the hotel were very nice and very accomodating.

Was very unhappy with our stay. Arrived at 3pm to check in and there was line out the door. Finally got to check in only to be told our room not ready and checkin goes from 4 to midnight. Not listed on their sight. Room not to bad but not worth what we paided compared to their other buildings. Had to deal with throwup in elevator dirty laundry room not very good at keeping pools clean. Rude guests. Not enough staff. And roaches outside as well as laundry room.

I love staying here. I had no trouble with parking or anything else. The location was the best!

We stayed here for 3 nights. The building was a little dated but the price and everything else was awesome. The waterpark was great (free if you book directly through sea mist), the rooms were clean, our dog was welcomed, everything was nice. The only negative is the elevators are slow when the are busy and the parking is a tad difficult with a bigger vehicle. We definitely will stay here again!

As soon as we got to our room, my mom started crying. The floors were DIRTY. It was moldy, leaking, the elevator was outside reeked of pee. It was scary. She took off the comforter and there were bugs. Definitely bed bugs and roaches. Check in was a separate building with a HUGE line. This place is scary. Luckily we found something else for the week we were staying on such short notice. The only good thing I can say is that the staff was friendly and gave us a full refund. There’s no way we could have stayed there..

When we entered the room, there was sand ALL OVER the floor. I dont know if the maids just hadnt swept because they didnt see anything or what because you could only really tell if you took your shoes off.Our shower would fill up with water when you took a shower and it wouldnt drain for hours. Besides those two things though, the room was good. Maybe a different room didnt have those problem and we just got a messed up room

It sucked having to stand in line for a duplicate door key after I already stood in line for 30min when I checked in. And yet had to wait another 30 min for the key. But had a good time. Loved being close to the beach like we were.

I stayed in the driftwood building, it was a little confusing finding out building at first, check in was pretty easy even though we had to go to the main office because the front desk in our building didn’t take cash. We got off the elevator to our floor and it did stink like pee, I seen this on prior reviews before we booked, so this is legit. Either the smell got better or we got used to it lol. Our room was clean and decent. The beds were comfortable and there was a table and plenty of chairs. No bedbugs or anything like that. The pools were great and clean including the water park. Here’s he real deal y’all, we paid 500 through the hotel and we got there 5 night one free Special because we booked on a Sunday. Don’t go through any booking agencies because it’s cheaper with the hotel directly and the water park is included. A lot of the other buildings look run down, driftwood was great. I was advised when I made my reservation that this was the most updated building. My family can’t afford to pay ridiculous rates at other hotels, this was in our budget and I would 100% come back and stay again. Housekeeping was good and we always had towels.

This was just a step up from a no-tel motel! If I could give a negative rating I would! DONT waste your money. Sad disrepair. 1 nice thing, clean sheet with a mattress protector. Bad parking, oh yeah, and the complementary breakfast only cost $10 and its 2 blocks away! Spend a little more somewhere else, itll be worth it!

Good location. But worst place I ever stayed I’ve had better rooms at motels! The hot water didn’t work it took 2 days to get towels WiFi was terrible. I will never stay here again much nicer hotels right down the street that have the same view and better service. I wish I could give it zero stars

It was not wait we paid for and the pools all of them were dirty!. The people staying there was great gurst. The elevator shut down at 9am sounding an alarm to tell everyone to exit the building. Was to much drama and none knew what was going on or what to do. The vending machines were empty also

This is the best place for the price. They also allow big dogs. We got an ocean front room and the breakfast with it. It was awesome getting to have a great breakfast every morning. We will be coming back next year.

This place was filthy. Elevator smells like roach spray. Non attentive staff. Out dated appliances. The cabinets were dirty. Cigarettes and other trash left out on property grounds for 2 days.

If you stay at the sea mist, make sure to not stay in the spray building. Its the most outdated of the buildings, tvs hardly work, damp rid in all the hallways. The room leaked because the section above us had left a door open and rain water had come. They said dont worry it will stop. When we entered the room there was ashes from cigarettes all over the place. Its a non smoking room. The pools are badly damaged and dirty.

We stayed here a few times and it depends on what building you stay in honestly. The Sandcastle building on the 8th floor where they ha e two adjoining rooms is really nice they even have a washer and dryer. The rooms by the water park have bedbugs EVERYWHERE...its nasty! The building in front of the Sandcastle (not the one on the beach but the one closer to the road) has bedbugs too. All the other buildings are nice and some may be a little dated but the price is great!!!

Room is nice and very clean. The building itself isnt too easy on the eyes. Not to happy with the location of my room but the room is spotless!!! Check in was quick and easy!!

This is without a doubt the worst hotel We have ever been in. From the moment we arrived and could smell the pot lingering in the air of the hallways and elevators to the roach crawling on the floor leading to the elevator this was the dirtiest nastiest place. We got to our room where the light didnt even have lamp shades and everything was dirty and run down Rusty the beds look like they hadnt been changed for a couple stays. We literally slept with all the lights on on top of the covers and even then felt like there were bed bugs crawling . once again, we found roach crawling on top of bathroom faucet ...bathroom toilet wont work at all!! smells like sewage...disgusting... dialing front desk..operator Pam answers the phone ..told her we need maintenance guy to fix the toilet ..she said she will create a work order...40 min. later..called again..same Pam answers the phone and connect me to front desk... spoke to Jason + manager/supervisor on duty ?? he told me the maintenance guy actually showed up but no one in the room ( which is complete LIE) we all devastated waiting for him to show up... Jason said he will get back to us shortly ..but never called .now we have waited more than hour and half..no one ever showed up.. called front desk again... lady answered call ..she said she will transfer to her manager...guess what, she transferred right back to the same front desk ..another person answered call.. he said help is on the way...after 3 1/2 hours waiting ..no one ever showed up...we demand to switch the room.. they refused ..The photos on there site and brochure must be from another hotel, because what we actually saw with our own eyes was filth! Smells like garbage, trash is always in the hallways, paint chipping from everywhere, parking is a whole other story. Save your money and stay somewhere else. Never again will we fall for a too good to be true vacation package deal.They are big LIER from manager to phone operator ..ALL THEY CARE IS YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!!--

Every time we travel to Mrytle Beach we always stay here. Have all the amenities we need, they allow dogs of all sizes and are very accommodating. I do wish they had better beds, they are pretty stiff.

Horrible place! Beyond dirty... you will find cigarette butts in the pool and everywhere. Trash all over the place. Horrible staff. No help with anything. We will NEVER go back! Very trashy and disgusting!

I am giving this 5 stars ..partially because Im biased and theres an ocean outside room but mainly because everyone who works here that Ive encountered has been friendly..welcoming, personable and helpful.The rooms arent 500$ penthouse suites. They could use a lil fresh paint in places. But they are comfortable, clean and have a kitchen. So after being on the road 3 weeks I can actually cook a real meal instead of eating road food. This place has its own charms. And I really do think ill be back.

I stayed here for a week. It was a lot of fun. A lot of pools. At first they tried to put us in a room that was too high up for my husband. He is afraid of heights. So they changed us to the third floor. Much better. We had to wait a few hours. Loved the game room. You have to work hard to find parking even with a parking pass depending on the time of day.

This place is amazing except for house keeping never show up to clean, Ive been staying here 7 years and that is my only complaint.

Absolutely loved our stay at the Sea Mist Sand castle building. Right on the beach and we were able to bring our dog with us. Very few places will allow a 65 lb dog and none of them are as affordable. My wife is already planning our next vacation here.

This teview us for a owner rented space through air b and b. relatively nice for the price paid. the safe in our room didnt work and when w asked the owner they did not offer to fix it. the bathtub shower only worked as a shower because the mechanism to switch it was rusted shut.

Very old place. All the rooms are very outdated. And the worst is they have roaches already had to kill four of them on the first day here. Definitely will not ever be staying here again

Sea Mist is a combination of 6 buildings with over 9 pools...lazy river..kiddie pools..slides and water park..they have different activities during the week plus you are right on the ocean..friendly atmosphere

The Spray building has roaches and is very run down. The halls and elevators are dirty. We booked for a three night stay and had to clean up the room prior to staying. Parking was horrible, and the balcony only has two seats. I actually booked 3 rooms and front desk mixed up my reservations and had security trying to evict us at @ 10:30 am. Security actually was helpful and tried to make light of the situation and with my receipt called and got front desk to fix it. Although at this point they attempted recharging my credit card for and additional night. Lets not forget about the sand in the bed prior to us getting in it. The restaurant Tina had door open at bottom that was very large where the door is needing to be replaced. I will never stay again. Part of my family left the first night and lost the money for there 1st night stay.Some actually stayed the first night and went to the Carribean Resort for the remainder of there stay. This place needs a good cleaning and some updating.

The view is the best part

It was very nice but slowly got worse and worse over the 12 or so years we have gone there and I have fond memories but like 3 years ago it had too many problems such as a light in the pool getting out.

I just want to start out by saying that you cant please everyone and some people are just a little tight in the pants if you know what I mean. As far as Im concerned, I absolutely loved staying at the seamist. Everyone is so nice and its so beautiful and the location is amazing. I just came home today and I miss it very much. I will definitely go back. The staff is on point. We couldnt get into our safe and they came to fix the problem within 10 mins, I couldnt believe it. I just cant say enough good things. Overall I think its amazing.

Advertisements about the Seamist Resort is misleading! Nothing is attached to hotel as it appears to be on their website. You have to walk across a busy street with oncoming traffic from both sides and down the street to eat and to the waterpark. You also have to pay to get into the waterpark if you book through a third party, info on this was not communicated upon booking. Hotel room was dirty; the floors were gritty with sand, needed sweeping and mopping. The room door opened to outside with a crack showing daylight accesible to anything crawling in. The toilet seat was broken, I almost fell off! The tub wouldnt drain properly. Maintenance was called but didnt show up until the next day. One side of the refrigerator was dirty on the outside. There were very few dishes, one spoon one saucer, two coffee cups. I asked the maid if I could get an extra spoon and they could not speak English. The hotel does not provide coffee for the coffee maker, nor was there a kitchen stove as shown on the website. There was no ice in the ice maker on the third floor and the other ice makers were located on the 6th and 8th floor. Didnt go see if they had ice as it was very hot and stuffy on the elevator. The Wi-Fi connection was horrible, useless and not accessible. The receptionist that answer when calling from the room was rude and disrespectful. I requested an Oceanfront room and was given an ocean view room with just a clip of the ocean and an ugly green wall outside my patio door. When asked to relocate I was told I would have to pay an additional $25 a night to get the ocean front room I had originally requested. Very disappointing.

It smells awful. Reserved oceanfront view and all we saw was the other building. Rundown. We did not feel comfortable was ready to go as soon as we open the door. Just a nasty place. No stars would be appropriate. The management was great though.

Rooms are dirty, elevators are filthy, loud, nosiey construction. Would never consider taking the stairs, unsafe area, dirty and it feels shadey.

Older, lower end side of Myrtle. Got a good rate on room, but dont expect luxury at that price. If you want breakfast/pool included, book through hotel instead of 3rd party.

Wont let me leave less than one star. Maintenance is definitely not a priority for this hotel. Room was just okay, but the other parts of the hotel were the main problems. One of the pools was down, dont know why but the water looked like a swamp. The jacuzzi had all kinds of trash floating in it. The one elevator was extremely small with dirt and dust covering the small vent making it like a sauna in there. Dont even try to get on when the staff are making their rounds cleaning rooms. You cant fit with their carts and equipment. The place just looks dirty and trashy. Needless to say my family wont be staying there again. Especially not for the price of a so called resort hotel.

Cute wading pool for little ones. Room was compact. Meets the essentials with extra perks like a small sink, compact fridge and compact stove. Felt like it could be cleaner and the balcony was not safe for children because the Bars were too spaced apart. Would not stay for a week but was sufficient for overnight

By far out of the 50+ hotels Ive stayed at this is the worst.first night we were locked out of our room they moved us to another room and there were dirty clothes and food crumbs in our bed so I go back to the front to see about a refund and when someone was coming to let us in our room they said it would be the next morning before they could get someone to fix the broken lock. It took us 4 hours th get into a room.So they insisted they would refund me after I had my stuff back, and they sent us to another room at least it was cleaner .they would not give me a full refund since they said I had stayed one night .horrible customer service and an extremely disgusting hotel ... I had even heard from an employee on the first night I wouldnt get a refund because because the manager doesnt care what kind of stay you have had he has been told to never refund ..the employee also told me everyone who works there hates there job. This place needs to be remodeled from the ground up the customers arent happy and neither are the employees.

Its okay for the money but Ive stayed in better . It truly needs to be remodeled. We stayed in the sand castle bldg. The elevators are slow and very small. The rooms are not very big. The WiFi sucks. The staff at water park are rude they have the easiest job and look miserable as hell. The best thing at resort was outdoor pools and being on the ocean. Did not care for indoor pool it was too hot in there. And the air conditioner in room sucked.

The Sea Mist resort in whole was decent... Its split up into into 5 or 6 buildings... The Sandcastle building was the worst. It felt like a ghetto hotel. We stayed in it for 1 night due to the resort being fully booked but switched to to Driftwood the next morning. I would go back to thos resort but I would make sure to specifically ask for the Driftwood or Tides building.Also, the waterpark was not free with your stay like they let on... Granted its only $3 per person per day, I felt that shouldve been stated a little clearer when booking.

No one need to stay at sea mist because we been going for 10 year they put use in a room with no AC then told us to deal with it and the front office lady are witch to deal with but one lady at the front desk was good to us honey you need to find a new job get the hell away from them you better then that maam one lady want to charge us 400.00 hundred for one nite of stay with that been said we got a refund and stay somewhere else never stay at sea mist again

Needs renovation and pressure washed . No ice machine worked in bldg we were located although front desk told us there were 3. Was told there was an indoor pool and jacuzzi when checking in and neither of these were in working order either

Terrible Resort this is an old out-of-date hotel that I would consider a 2 star hotel at best. Employees are rude and unhelpful when something doesnt work as expected. Photos online is misleading. Parking is a nightmare and not enforced so everyone parks here to access the beach. We paid over $600 and had to park across the street and walk 2 blocks. We wish we would have gone to the Hampton Inn just a few buildings down. Very disappointed!

We picked the Sea Mist since the rates were low and it was next to the beach. Our room was on the second floor (ground level). My first impression was that the hotel was a bit shoddy and it did not do anything to improve that over our three night stay. The room was supposed to be ocean view. It shared a balcony with 5 other rooms. You could see the ocean from the balcony, but not directly from the room. Based on the website, we expected that our room would have a fridge, small stove, microwave, cookware, plates, silverware, and a coffee pot. It had a decent fridge, a beat up microwave, two mismatched plates, two forks, two knives, and one spoon. We had to ask for the coffee pot along with mugs to go with it. It showed up the next morning. At least it was a new coffee pot. They included a reusable cone filter with it. We did have to provide our own coffee to use in it. We were disappointed that it did not have the stove as we were planning on cooking to save money during our trip. The room was reasonably clean. I could feel the sand on the floor, but I could understand that it gets everywhere. The beds were hard. The pillows were okay. None of us managed to actually connect to the wifi. The pools were decent. There was one outside, one inside, and a jacuzzi all connected to our building. They were clean. The beach access was convinient. Overall, it was not the worst hotel, but not some place that I would make an effort to stay at again.

Enjoyed our stay, everything was well kept, the kids loved the water park and all the pools. Definitely will be staying again.

Had a great time staying in Myrtle Beach the hotel could use some updates but its nice.

Had an amazing time out with friends, its worth checking out. There is much to do in a relaxed, luxurious, and comfortable environent.

Almost 2 hr late check-in. Kids restless, nerves wired. No, upgrade for their slow housekeeping. Never again. Staying in North myrtle next time!!
