Great amenities especially for kids...Response time for service is slow (hour+ wait) and sometimes had to call again to reorder supplies. Rooms have carpet (yuck) but overall decent shape. Beds are very comfortable. Can hear neighbors pretty clearly. Breakfast was typical but sanitary, as the buffet is used by personnel only. Ive been to way better but pretty good value for the money.
Quick easy check in. We arrived early and was able to get our room quickly. I like parking garage that is built into the building. The room was clean. Staff was pleasant. Beds were comfy. Like that they have multiple pools and and eateries within the building. Easy access to beach. Will stay again price was perfect.
Great pet friendly hotel. Easy check-in and checkout. Amenities for kids good. Wonderful cooked breakfast. Very clean and COVID appropriate. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Watch out for Wyndham sell!. Rates reasonable. Will charge extra for more than 1 dog. Check in time a little late 4pm especially for off season. However, checkout 11am good. Indigo Tower appears to be the old add on for this resort. Hard to negotiate luggage cart in and out of elevators. No bell service for this end. Water pressure for bathroom sink poor. Room updated, king bed very comfortable. Airconditioner old lots of rust seen. Fabulous views of the ocean and beach.
We had a great time! The front desk was extremely helpful. I requested to change my room. It was changed in a couple of minutes, no questions asked. The restaurant was great. Food excellent. Room rates were great also. Recommend highly.
First experience was great. This is the 2nd time staying. The first room had an odor and could barely see the beach due to one of their buildings being in the way. Was told someone was coming to the room to fresh it up but they never showed. They moved us to another room higher up and it was a lot better.
This resort has a special place in my heart. Fourteen years ago, my family came to Myrtle Beach for the first time and stayed here. It was a magical experience. Weve come back to Myrtle Beach many times since then and stayed at many different places but this place is the best. I just checked out of the Pinnacle building yesterday after a wonderful week there solo and I miss it already. I will DEFINITELY be back!Thank you to the cleaning staff for keeping the rooms beautiful (tub=FLAWLESS. Unlike some other resorts I could mention *shudders*) and the front desk staff for your kindness and patience. The hotel is lovely, the beds are heavenly and the view is beautiful. Its also close to activities/restaurants/groceries/shopping.
Best part of my experience at Compass Cove was sitting outside watching people on beach, watching waves ETC. I was in the penthouse. You would think it would be extra special. It wasnt any better than any other room. There is a really bad problem with the comfort of the furniture. Terrible! Dinning room chairs, living room chairs and the bed wasnt great either. There is also a cleaning problem. Spider webs on chandeliers, corners of rooms to mention a few. I understand due to the covid, maid service is minimal. But, I expect in between guests a major cleaning to be done. I dont believe I will be staying at this hotel the next time I visit!
I really loved this resort. On 11/06 I checked-in and meeting Grant who worked the front desk making the process so smooth. Also, I dare not forget the magician who entertained us and made sure we stayed socially distant from other guest who were checking in as well. The room was very clean, grounds well kept, and PLENTY to do for all ages. I will be back for Christmas vacation after I switch my reservation from the other resort to this.
Great stay!!! Rooms and Hotel was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful! For the most part everyone was wearing their mask and being mindful of everyones safety. Our family will definitely be staying her again
Beautiful Room and Views. Actually a Great Resort.I did have to clean the room as in use Spray I brought and wipe every surface because it was Filthy! Our Unit was HOT as Hell!!Apparently the AC couldnt be lowered below 68 and the bedrooms were horribly Hot!!We look in Stores for Fans but Struck Out!!We actually decided to stay a few extra days but went elsewhere.I found it very hard to believe that even after reporting it to Maintenance and the Management....NOTHING was done as Compensation.Hotels are Not providing daily Maid service and there isnt complimentary breakfast anymore with Your Stay. You would think that Everything within the Resorts control would be Beyond Perfect. It was a Disappointing Stay no
Excellent condo rental. Top floor with 3 bedrooms and plenty of space for a family of 5. Pools were heated and hot tubs were great. Will definitely go back.
I was here at Compass Cove Resort on 11-27-2020 until 11-29-20 we took a spur of the moment trip and I has happy about getting the room with ease. BUT!!! had I have known that I would have had such a Headache I would have went elsewhere... I took my family on a quick beach trip to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and relax for a day or 2 before returning to work. I had a hard time keeping my balcony door open due to the constant smell of Marijuana wafting in to our room from a neighboring room. I tried multiple time to call the front desk and report the issue but to no avail, the desk clerk told me that she could not send someone every time someone called with a complaint. we endured it for the first night but on the second day I asked if we could please change rooms. and the guy was reluctant, but did change the room and told me that we would be able to move into our room in just a little while 5 Hours later... we finally got our new room. I dont know if I will stay here again between the poor attitudes of the staff and the lack of willingness to work with Customers.. POOR EXPEIANCE...
Have stayed here 2 times & both times was great. Clean room, great staff. Close to everything, Loved the tiki bar its great. I will be back for round 3 soon cant wait.
This resort was absolutely amazing! The rooms were beautiful and clean. The many pools, hot tubs and lazy rivers were fun and relaxing. Parking was easy and secure. The new systems with the wristbands instead of cards was very well thought out. this is a spectacular resort for couples as well as the whole family. Pool towels are always available at the pool areas. The water slides are AWESOME! This being our first family vacation with three small children was so spectacular. we expected a few delays or things that didnt meet our expectations however our trip was phenomenal and we had not one complaint. we were blessed to have visited this resort. One thing that can make or break a resort is the staff. Over the course of our entire trip we were greeted with smiles and were treated with courtesy and respect. This resort really needs to recognize the staff for their consistency and positive attitudes. We will be returning soon, thankyou so much.
The drinks and food here are great s/o to Leah at the crows nest! Clean accommodations, happy to help staff. My only complaint is the pool closes at 11 and that the bar closed at 9pm, if the state ordinance is sell alcohol until 11pm then allow your guests the right to enjoy until 11, especially on a Sunday when the ABC stores are closed. Simple way to bring in more business during off season w/covid & all.... but other than that AMAZING!
Positive: It was worth it Negative: No
Positive: Oceanfront location Negative: We had problems with our hotel door
Positive: Dirty, noise and not enough staff Negative: Location of the room the front ocean side
Loved the location. Not too busy and close to everthing. Our stay was good except for our view from our balcony. We had a three bedroom condo room 718in the Mariner Building and our view was the roof if the schooner bld which i think they could of told us that. Then our air broke and we were without air all day. They fixed it and it broke AGAIN. After a couple more hours without air they finaly moved us to the 6th floor room 622 which the view was even worse.. Whuch they did refund us for one night for having to move. But overall it was a nice resort would definitely stay again just on a higher floor.
I enjoyed the 3 bedroom 2 bath condo with my family. It was clean and there were no bugs. The hospitality was great. Perfect ocean view room. Inside pools and lazy river was great when we didnt want to go to the ocean. My kids enjoyed themselves as well. It was like home away from home. I would definitely recommend them and I will be back soon.
I have stayed here many times and it used to be one of my favorites. Now its just ok. Our room itself was clean, the bathroom not so much. There was hair in shower and the sink had crumbs in it. Beds are comfortable if you like firms beds (which I do). Want to try the indigo tower next time.
We have stayed at the Compass Cove a number of times and have had generally a good stay here. The location is great! Its right on the sea front and there are plenty of attractions within walking distance. The rooms we have stayed in have been pretty dated and not as clean as they could be. We stayed out of season on both occasions but that should not be an excuse. The price was very keen though.
Could have been better. Stayed here many times. We had the penthouse. The living room was very uncomfortable. There were 2 chairs, both on wheels on a tilefloor. I had seniors with me and thats dangerous. They were not comfy at all. I hope they will put a couple recliners in there so everyone can enjoy being together. There was also no Murphy bed as advertised. Ive always enjoyed staying here but I hope they will make these changes so we might be able to stay again
We stayed here for two nights, three days as first timers for this resort. Lots and lots of amenities, oceanfront and only a very short walk from pool to beach, has a bar and grille (food was just mediocre but we expected that), provides pool towels to all guest AND they even let us check in 3 hours early! No need to worry about keeping up with a room key, they give you bracelets that have a chip in them that allow you to get into your room. Front desk staff was super friendly and nice and provided direct instruction and very helpful in explaining how to get around the hotel since there are several buildings. Definitely would return back here.
Positive: The view Negative: N/a
We stayed in the Indigo Tower, an older building in the complex, which has an open air entrance, so the security level is lower. The other buildings were different and newer, but I liked the easy accessibility to our room in the Indigo Tower. Loved our oceanfront balcony. The room was nice. Everything was clean. There were some issues with the door and door latch. I gave it 4 stars because I cant say it was a 5 star luxury hotel and dont want to mislead. We were very happy with our stay. Would definitely stay there again.
I do thank the response by management. I do appreciate how the front desk refunded my visit of 2 days worth. But, I really did not care about the money. I really wanted to give my fiance a beautiful vacation that we have enjoyed the other 2 visits. Not sure if Compass Cove will be in the agenda for our next 2 vacations next year.
Great hotel. I’ve been here at least 30 times on trips with family or friends. Lately it looks like it could use a little revamp, but it’s still great. I prefer indigo tower just, because it’s more secluded and you can still go in and out the other parts of the resort as you please.
Positive: The location. Negative: The room was outdated, dirty hallways with dead roaches and stained linens.
Loved our stay here. We will definitely go back. I loved it that they had condos with full kitchens, sitting areas and two bathrooms.
Absolute best hotel in Myrtle beach ocean front district. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff was so friendly. The manager upgraded us to the pinacle building from indigo free of charge. The indigo building was not bad, it was updated nicely we just loved the location of the pinacle building because it was close to the indoor pools and the restaurant and compass joe coffee house. The grounds were kept amazingly clean, we didn’t see one bug or piece of trash anywhere, and for the size of the resort that is wonderful. We fully enjoyed all the heated pools and lazy rivers and the multiple hot tubs really helped us get into that relaxation we were looking for. The breakfast at compass rose was tasty and good priced at 10.99 for all you can eat. We had the double bed ocean front suite. It was spacious and clean. The beds were comfy and the pillows were perfect. The view was spectacular from both the ocean and the city. It was fun at day and relaxing and peaceful by night. We really enjoyed the fire pits on the cool November nights. This hotel has gone above and beyond our expectations and are looking into getting a monthly rental for December!!!
Positive: Lots of kids things to do. Easy beach access. And love the tiki bar Negative: No
Positive: The location was great. Negative: The room could have been more cleaner.
Awesome service. Would recommend this resort to anyone. Great breakfast. Great customer service.
Had no issue and value was great! Great view easy check in. Outside of building could use a face lift but the rooms were clean and nice. Will be back.
Nice place. Beware the beds are very hard. My back has been hurting ever since. They seriously need to upgrade the mattresses for the cost of the room. Everything else was outstanding. The restaurant food was delightful, and the drinks were great. The bathroom has little counter space. This resort has many different buildings so if you travel with friends and family in separate rooms make sure that the room types are available in the same building. We stayed in the pinnacle building which was alot less busy. The parking was great.
Positive: That fact that it had a kitchen and it was roomy Negative: It was outdated. It smelled like mildew at times and it just didnâ€t seem clean.
Nice place to stay. Nice big rooms. 3 bed 2 bath.
Positive: We loved the restaurants, the room was not what I selected but it was nice and clean.
We had a great vacation here. Very few problems nothing worth even mentioning. Location is great, pools were clean, beach was clean, staff was polite, rooms were comfortable, and the restaurant made some great margaritas with pretty good food. Hopefully coming back next fall.
We stayed from October 24th to the 29th. Everything was great. The choices of pools, lazy river and hot tubs is awesome. My grandson loved the water slides. The weather was perfect.Few things though, when we arrived the washer was broke, but they replaced it the next day. You have to call for a vacuum and broom, plus return it when finished. Im the type who likes to vacuum daily especially when the little ones track in sand from the beach. We will be returning every October to celebrate my mothers heavenly birthday.
Positive: lots of pools!
Schooner building is an older run down building. Saw around 6 cockroaches in the hallway. Room was a bit dirty but view was great. Had a partial ocean view w 2 queen beds. No bath towels were found when we checked in, only hand towels. Pools were alright. Beach access is easy and great. Tiki bar closed every day around 430p/5. Very disappointed. Dont waste your time w hotel bfast. Go to mammys or a mom and pop place down the road. I would not stay at this resort again. Quite disappointing and unimpressed.
Room was clean, no sand on the floors, beach access, and checkout couldnt get any easier. Needed maintence for one issue and they were up in 15 minutes. 22 pools on the property so it was never crowded. Best hotel in Myrtle Beach ive stayed at. Will be staying here from now on.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Compass Cove Resort. We stayed in the Indigo tower because it looked like it was more up to date and taken care of than the other rooms.Cons: Upon arriving, it looked like it was the older tower just having been remodeled. Some of the things already needed replacing. Some ceiling tiles were dirty like people had been marking them up and the shower head was rusty and looked as though it was coming out of the wall. The shower also was clogged. This resort is pretty far south too so if youre used to staying at North Myrtle, it will not be as nice of an area.Pros: Other than the few things mentioned above, the room was clean. NO palmetto bugs!! Also we loved the fact that this place has so many different pools and water activities to choose from. The thing we liked best about staying at Indigo was the fact that the pool there was hardly noticeable. Both times we were in it we were either the only people or shared it with only a few. The busier pools are by the Schooner tower. You want to make sure you visit those too because there is an entire indoor section with a big pool, lazy river, two hot tubs, and two big water slides that start outside and end up inside. Kids and adult alike will enjoy this section. We checked out the restaurant on the 2nd floor overlooking the ocean but they didnt have much food to choose from. It is mostly a bar. But still a cool area. We would probably stay here again. Our big and little kids enjoyed it.
I have been to Compass Cove twice before (Pinnacle building) and it was so nice, so clean, absolutely loved it. This time I was in the Schooner building and it was so ghetto....I couldnt even believe it! The room clearly not been cleaned: toilet was dirty, floors got our feet dirty, bathroom sink had hair in it, counters needed wiped, fridge had a spill and hair in it. There was only 1 remote for 2 TVs in 2 different rooms. We were left 1 face towel, and 2 dirty bath towels, no hand towels, no kitchen towels or dish liquid. Thank God I brought Microban and Lysol wipes. The kitchen was missing a drawer, so they threw the silverware tray underneath another cabinet. I called the front desk 4 times before someone answered. They brought me towels but otherwise didnt care they put me in a dirty room. During a pandemic, they did absolutely nothing to cut down the spread of germs and infection. The indoor pool was warm like bath water, but do not expect a bit of heat in the outdoor pools. Breakfast, on the other hand was very good! But the room being dirty at a time like this really didnt sit well with me and made me feel like maybe I should never go back. I definitely wont stay in the Schooner building again if so.
Friendly staff at checkin. Property and room appeared very clean and well maintained. 9th floor of the Pinnacle tower (I think it was called pinnacle) perfect location other than the massive wall. They lost a star because a giant wall blocked 55% of our oceanfront view, and the room had a strong smell of cigarette smokers.Overall my expectations were highly exceeded. Better experience than Hilton’s and other name brands I’ve stayed at. We will be staying here again
Check in was easy, room was fine. We came to MB for a softball tournament, not sure if that’s why it was why it was so busy, but I don’t feel management and security monitored the area well. From cars taking up 2 parking spots (making parking almost impossible), to the partying thru the night in many rooms, smelling pot coming from other rooms, smelling pot in parking garage, the noise coming from the pool til after 11. Our team won’t be returning next year.
Weve been coming here for the last couple of years after it was recommended to us. Weve been happy with each stay. We love the proximity the beach and the kids love the water amenities. The Starbucks in the lobby is a little bonus and the giftshop is nice and helpful if you need something for your stay.
Positive: Lots of pools and activities Negative: Too loud at night and people smoked cigarettes even this is non smoking. I could not enjoy my balcony because of that.
The room is small as heck even for an oceanfront. Who can cook when the kitchen is inches from a bed. Not what is advertised nor expected even for Myrtle Beach. Then on the third floor only to walk out on the balcony to see a bunch of restaurant guess. But the food and services in restaurant EXCEPTIONAL. Hotel situated a little way from hustle of myrtle beach strip.
The hotel is MASSIVE, and has several towers so make sure to ask where you are staying and what tower, especially if there is more than one person staying with your party in different rooms. Ask for the same tower if possible because its all in same complex but is a long walk from tower to tower if they are not in same spot. We had 14 people come with us total and stayed in 3 different rooms with several bedroom configuration options from one bedroom with two beds and a Murphy bed, to the 3 bedroom suite with full pull out couch, and all of the rooms were nice and comfy. We did end up in two different towers which was a bit of a headache ( minor hiccup ) because we booked all the rooms at different times and under different names so when we got there they couldnt put us in the same tower because of the different types of rooms we booked and what rooms they had left in each tower. So we know now to book together or at least with the same person making the calls or talking to the same person for the reservations. The Pinnacle Tower is where we stayed and it is the smaller of the towers but seems to be newer or at least most recently renovated. The Mariner is the largest of the 4 different towers and had the majority of the traffic as far as guests. It seems this tower was very crowded at the pool but it also has way more rooms, and the tiki bar and grill, as well as the band stand is located outside of this mariner tower. The pools at the smaller towers like pinnacle were less crowded,, but you can go to any pool on the complex as well as the water parks. The hot tub rules during covid limit one family or group at a time in the hot tub, so it seemed someone was always waiting for a hot tub. There are tons of pools, good parking in garage, and on the street where beach access is you can park for free all day and night, if you have a handicap placard. The pools and lazy rivers, water slides and poolside tiki bar and grill are all very welcome. There is a live band at certain times, and the restaurant is really good food but a bit pricey compared to local spots. The rooms were very spacious and nice layout. The bathroom was very clean and updated but in our room the sink and vanity was very very tiny. Not much room at all if you have products that need to be left out for easy access. They do have a space under the sink, a shelf above the toilet, and even a closet in the bathroom, but counter space was very limited. That was my only complaint and I saw the pics before we booked so the lack of noticing this issue was my own fault. Wd have tons of haircare and make up items that need to be out to make it easy to get ready and there just wasnt space there to make this happen. We did manage by keeping our stuff in the bags and storing it in the closet in the bathroom area but the counter top space is always appreciated. The kitchen is nice layout and has almost any appliance you may want such as toaster, blender, can opener, microwave, oven, stove, refrigerator, coffee maker and iron. The Murphy bed ( hide a bed or pull down bed) was very comfortable but did leave little to no walk thru space in the living room once it was down in place. But it was quick and very easy to stow away out of place again when it needs to be out of the way. This hotel is very clean, especially during covid 19. They have hand sanitizer stations by nesrly everything that gets touched often like the towel area and tables and chairs by the pools, the rafts for the lazy River, and the staff come around every so often and clean with spray bottles on gates and elevators. The maid staff wont come during your stay to limit exposure and risk of infection. They dont want the staff to catch the virus if one of the guests have it and then spread it to other rooms and guests. While they dont clean rooms while you are staying they clean common areas all day and night and anything you may need is available at the front desk you just have to call and they bring to you.I would stay here again and bring the family and friends with me.
My second time staying here and Im very pleased. They were able to accommodate me with a room at literally the last second. I had a camping trip planned that was ruined and Compass Cove was basically like I gotchu! Staff is extremely friendly and inviting! Pool areas were clean and not overly crowded. My second time staying in the Schooner building and it was very clean and definitely up to par with my OCD standards. Price was on point and very fair for the cleanliness and quality of customer service. I will definitely be making this my go to place whenever I visit Myrtle Beach from now on.
Beautiful view, clean rooms, great price for all the things to do on the property
Maybe I just came on their bad day. It was just me and my son. I got a deal through another site. When I arrived there was some fees I did not understand which actually was substantially more than the cost of the room. I was excited about the price that I found and thats the reason I purchased the room, though what Im upset about isnt exactly that they were hidden fees as much as the front person, they made sure to let me know that it was my fault. I was just hoping for a little more friendlier experience I guess. Bathrooms really nice though so .... Thats a plus!
My first time ever coming down to Myrtle Beach I was so nervous about finding the right hotel to stay at it is so hard because you read reviews of places so often I have read good reviews and bad ones I have changed hotels so many times it was ridiculous just based off of reviews I started to think that not everyone is the same and everyone experience and how they perceive things are different I am glad to say I came back and picked the right one my stay at Compass Cove Resort was lovely we stayed in a ocean front king room on the 6th floor in the Indigo and It was lovely the room is exactly described as in the advertisement the view of the beach was just amazing the staff was friendly and very helpful every employee I came across had on a mask the breakfast was nice and so was the bar and grill they don’t have many options on the menu but it was still nice every building you go into there was nothing but pools and things to do the resort is directly on the beach you could just literally walk down and your on the beach I had no issues staying at Compass Cove for my first time my experience there was really nice I didn’t want to leave It’s very peaceful and so beautiful the only thing was that housekeeping didn’t come to the my room to do a full service like they should every morning out of three nights there they only came once to do a full service on our room and that’s only because I had to call down to the front desk to ask for it that’s the only thing that kind through me off other then that it was truly and great stay I definitely recommend this place to anyone and I for certain will definitely stay here again!
Customer service was excellent!! Nice very clean 2 bdrm 2 bath condo in the Marina building! Breakfast was delicious and all staff were very nice & helpful...although it was a holiday weekend things ran very smooth...my kids loved the pool of course!! Returning visitor...hopefully be visiting again soon
Loved this resort, the staff is very wonderful, and went out their way to make sure our stay was pleasant. Tons of amenities, too many pools and hot tubs to count, both indoor and outdoor. the restaurant had great food and reasonably priced drinks, the breakfast buffet was phenomenal. Overall, great place and will definitely be staying there again soon.
We love to go to Compass Cove. Every time we go we have a blast. The water park is super fun for the kids, the rooms are huge with plenty of space for big families or groups of friends, staff is super nice, the food at Compass Rose is great. Location is awesome, right on the beach and close to everything. Highly recommended!
This is my third time staying here and my first time seeing roaches. I am very disappointed and I feel like this room is dirty. I refuse to walk around without my shoes. I won’t be back a fourth time.
We Have been Long Term Customers of Compass Cove For years and years! This Past visit really had me Disappointed and I shared my experiences with the Manager. I Also received a Gift Certificate and used a Small Portion of it for a one night stay. Checking out, 2 Head Managers we’re going to Immediately mail me a New Gift Certificate. It’s been almost 2 Months now. These Managers, do not keep their Word, Do not Listen, or Follow Through! Someone just needs to reach out to me and Handle this Situation another way. I want to be Credited.
When here during the covid 19 outbreak at beach and stayed 5 days with my friends and our kids since then ive been tested me.and son and we are both negative so you can go and be safe we mostly just swam in ocean at hotel.and ate drive thrus went to walmart just used sanatizer and washed hands and mask and stayed away from people. But anyway the motel is super nice we had a queen sweet with ocean front balcony and I loved the hotel had a food and bar on 2nd floor in our building that was great and prices where good. This place has 27 pools i guess counting hot tubs and lazy rivers I know that we used both lazy rivers it may have more idk tgis place is huge with at least 5 buildings I was in the pinnacle building one of the newer towers. I stayed at crown reef last year right up street the room where almost the same 2 beds full kitchen and Murphy bed and sofa bed we had a hole in wall under toilet at crown reef were I was using .bathroom and roach crawled out the hole. I seen 3 roaches in all at crown reef not at this hotel no holes no bugs not the first one trust me I look. I definitely recommend this hotel.to anyone and its cheaper than crown reef for same stuff. And Im definitely going back here next year hopefully covid 19 is gone by then and ill really be able to enjoy.hotel in Yeah wr had a starbucks also in my building and a surf shop. That was so n8ce and convinent.
Im always skeptical about booking at Myrtle, because Ive had bad experiences. Not this time! This resort was everything it advertised to be and then some! The room was clean and comfortable. The amenities were all perfect. And the customer service was phenomenal! I will definitely be returning!
Positive: The jacuzzi that wasnâ€t working.
Had a great 4th of July here at Compass Cove. Been here about 5 times. Fun to watch the fireworks and a fantastic view of the moon!
Had a great time and great customer service. Docked a star because in the front lobby they are pressure selling time shares or something. They had the nerve to tell my wife she couldn’t get her key without visiting the sales counter first. Otherwise great location and my kids had a wonderful time.
All around awesome resort!!! Staff was always friendly. Was clean and right on the beach. This will definitely be my go to place when we go back to Myrtle Beach. ️️
Room was great. Even though I take my own Lysol, the room was very clean. Pools were great. The pool attendant was very nice. Offered to get our towels and made sure we were comfortable. The Starbucks baristas were very nice.
I got to the resort about 2am and was able to check-in without any problems. From my room I love the view I had of the ocean . I t was a great overall experience.
Overall, my experience was awful. Longest lines, constant smell of marijuana seeping through walls, slow staff (some with tempers). They seem to only worry about clean pool decks and good food/drink service, but besides that, bad hotel service in general. I wouldn’t waste my money here again
Its ok.. So far Im not overly impressed. The staff on duty isnt the friendliest..
Access to the beach and pools are the most redeeming quality of this hotel. We had issues with the cleanliness of our room and customer service. Some of the bedding looked like it had not been changed, dirty dishes left in the kitchen, and obvious signs that the room had not been vacuumed (or at least not very well). We had a hard time getting a hold of the front desk and they agreed to send house keeping but clearly didnt care and hung up on me.
Stepped right off the hotel deck onto beach path. Rooms were very clean. Great ocean view. Food ehh drinks $$$$. Not alot of guest parking.
The husband and I came down for my birthday and compass cove definitely was awesome really nice clean rooms ours had a beautiful view of the ocean we will definitely come back for our next adventure!!!
Positive: Was surprised, got a room with a kitchen. The views were spectacular. Negative: Our room did not have any washcloths in it. Was a lot of partying going on late at night with people screaming off the balconies.
This place was great. I loved our room with the oceanfront view. I definitely will return.
Nice place and the staff was friendly. Love the hot tubs. Just one thing was the Welcome package is more of a waste of time and money.
The staff were very courteous and accommodating. I really like the fact that they send text messages and respond in a timely fashion. Everything was great about the stay. This is my second time staying here and I would highly recommend Compass Cove for any Family Getaway. Ive created some amazing memories with all of my family!
Very clean, right on the water .inexpensive
It’s an ok hotel. They have the pools and hot tubs you need for the beach. The hotel was clean but needs some things updated to be up to date. We went during COVID times and it was packed but the 3 bedroom suite we stayed in was a great size for our family. The lights in the bathroom flickered, the bathtubs are really slippery and my daughter fell while she was taking a shower, the coffee machine and pots and pans were all broken. Needs some work!
Having a good time and the rooms are decent and the pools are nice. I definitely would come here again.
Beautiful experience wonder resort we booked the pinnacle resort ocean view room very nice
Compass Cove is always an awesome place to stay. We always get the one bedroom king suite with the pull out couch and its plenty of room for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. The place is clean and the views are awesome. They also have people that come and do some kind of entertainment whether its singing or karaoke and we have a blast. Thanks Compass Cove!
Parking free, night walk on the beach was great. Close to restaurants, and shopping. I would stay here again with or without children.
Nice and comfortableI love the ocean view. I had fun.
We are checking out today after 5 nights, housekeeping came every day, we always had fresh towels, the kids had so much fun in the pools, great beach access, we rented a free movie every night before bed. It was clean. We ran into overly intoxicated people but you will have that and the great part is you can just move pools. Security did make one group leave the pool deck so they are watching. Typical Myrtle beach wear and tear on the resort but Overal great stay. This was our second and we will probably be doing a third in the future
Life guards are very attentive. Housekeepers knew schedule and came only when we were gone. Left extras and were friendly in hallways. Lots to do for familys with many pools, lazy rivers and multiple hot tubs.

Friendly, helpful staff. Love the pools and hot tubs! Played on the lazy river with my son and fiance. Even though we were on the side and not completely facing the ocean, we had a phenomenal view. Place was clean and housekeeping was amazing. Thank you for a great vacation!
The elevated button doesnt work on floor 10 if youre going down, only the up button. So, you have to go all the way up before you can go down. The upholstered furniture has, what looks like semen, all over it. The carpeting also looks very bad. The kitchenette isnt even stocked with dishes or enough silverware to accommodate a family of 4. The online pics of the rooms are very misleading. We paid $98/night plus a $67 resort fee. There are also never any guest towels by the pools.
Not very clean, worn out beds, efficiency was not as advertised, only a mini fridge, not full size, housekeeping did not come daily and all dishes in the cabinet were dirty with left over food from previous guests upon arrival
This location is amazing! The outside of the building could use some updates and the bathroom was a tad small. But the full kitchen was a good add and the staff was amazing I never saw an unfriendly face. The food at the Crows nest was spectacular and Kathy the supervisor is truly a gem. She is the example for all customer service agents. With 32 pools we were always on the pool deck or the beach. It was so nice to see the staff member on deck to disinfect tubes from the lazy river. Its an A rating from me.
The worst hotel I have ever been at!!! I was located on the 9th floor, and in the hallway there was throw up everywhere, and it was never cleaned up. Walking pass the hallway was also water on the floor leaking from the ac unit. The rooms are so nasty that you dont feel comfortable sitting anywhere. The dinning chairs where dirty and felt sticky, and the couch had blood stains on them. The bathroom is right in front of the kitchen, literally. I called the front desk to tell them how the cold air wasnt working, and they sent someone to put a new ac unit in, but as soon as I turned it on it smelled like urine, so I ended up staying there with no ac due to the bad smell. The hotel furniture was in terrible conditions, and the bathrooms are horrible, I didnt feel comfortable taking a shower there. This hotel is in terrible conditions, and would not recommend it to anyone.
One of my top 5 hotels in Myrtle Beach. We always enjoy coming to the compass cove. Plenty for the kids to do, they do a good job keeping things clean. Rooms are nice, but could use some updating.
Ivy was great! Helped us change rooms. We even extended our stay! Tons of pools and super friendly staff.
Its pretty outdated and the cleaning service is awful but the front desk staff was very nice. Its about what youd expect for the price range. Bring your own blankets and towels.
