Of all the condos, we are SO glad we stayed at Camelot By The Sea!!!!! We were very impressed. Best Halloween of our lives. The staff was so friendly and caring - every single person we encountered made sure we were being taken care of. There is a lazy river, 2 hot tubs, and several pools. Beach chairs line the back for sun tanning. A bar by the pools that also has snacks (wasnt open at this time though). Very easy building to navigate. We walked from our condo up and down the beach, and all over town!! Didnt even need to Uber. The views - incredible. Guests can also rent movies for free so we watched movies to end our nights This was the last stop on our Honeymoon and it was so fantastic. Highly recommend!!

It was a great condo awesome view and in a great location. Only bad thing to say is there security is HORRIBLE. I was on the phone and a security guard without a mask was standing behind me in the parking garage and informed me there is no smoking without a single non smoking sign anywhere in sight except for the rooms And after i put it out and said okay continued to follow me and question me after I just spent a decent amount of money to stay there. Extremely rude.

Ill start with positive it had a lot of space the ladies up front were great got us in and out and explained everything now the somewhat bad.The Condo we had really need to be updated under the stove looked like a rat whole the kitchen really need to be renovated also from time to time the curtains need to be removed and cleaned. The hand sanitizers in the elevator needed to be refilled and I was there for 4 days and there was no hand sanitizer the entire time. Would I come back maybe I am a travel agent so I do a bigger longer look at things so I can make sure I send my clients to a great place I have seen worse I would like to stay at a sister property soon.

I have had 3 vacations in the last 18 months here. My kids love it. I know there are more updated hotels but I really enjoy staying here. Its quiet and Anderson park is right next door too! The only thing I would love to see change is updating. I really like the enclosed parking a real on-site security! They opened the pool bar this summer too #love!

Booked online, late check-in was a breeze. Room was more amazing than the pictures, super clean. Fully stocked kitchen with full size oven/dishwasher/refrigerator! Extra bedding for the back bedroom was also in the closet already so we didn’t have to ask for it. They have a few swimming pools and 3 hot tubs, a lazy river pool, and they’re all just a few steps from the beach. Our balcony had beautiful beach view. All employees there were so friendly and nice. Javid at the beachfront pool bar was the perfect bartender! This is where we’ll stay every time we go back!

First time visiting. I really liked the three bedroom suite we had. Very spacious with a full kitchen. Was on the 15th floor so the view was spectacular. Im glad there were fans in the room because it didnt seem like the AC was coming on frequently enough and it did get warm. The bar at the pool was neat and Javin(sp?), the bartender, made the best drinks with a Big smile! I would definitely visit here again!

Loved the pool side bar. Great service. We liked that the parking deck requires a code to enter so not everyone can get in. Was actually quiet all weekend even though it was August. We loved our room. Great view and price! Definitely will be back.

The location is perfect and the ocean view from the room was superb. But the building from the inside was a disappointment compared to the grand look from the outside. The elevators were smelly because people were walking in wet with their beach clothes. The carpets in the room were sticky, possibly from feet wet with salty water. The bathroom and bedroom were neat, but the kitchen was really dirty. The pots and pans were not clean and were sticky and smelly. Seems like the place is on hard times. For what we paid, we were hoping for more.

Service was good, room had hair everywhere and they will hold $150 once you arrive, which hurt my spending for the weekend.

I choose this place again after having stayed here some 10 years ago. Unfortunately it looks like they havent upgraded since then. The location is perfect with it being right on the beach with direct beach access, but the negatives. Stayed in room #317. Excellent being right off the elevator, but carpet was severely dated, the stove top was burnt, the 2 of the 3 TVs had universal remotes. Stayed 3 nights, which room service didnt seem to come as my trash was full. Was scared to use the dishes as they looked filthy. But older white lady at the desk was very professional and nice each time I called.

The hotel was a TON of fun. Staff was great and tiki bartender was the BEST! The only issue I honestly had was the room was all tile making it a little dirty next to the beach.But the view was fantastic. Ill definitely be back

We just stayed in a beautiful 3 bedroom condo at this resort. We lucked out with no crowds, so everything is naturally social distanced! The beaches were beautiful and a perfect temperature to swim. We walked all over for meals, mini golf, shopping, sky wheel, tennis and more. Very convenient location. Staff was friendly and helpful. It’s nice to have towels and beverages at the pool. We loved our happy hour on our balcony. The 10th floor was perfect- not too high, great views of the coastline, and convenient parking. Kids ages 9 to 19 had such a great time!

Hotel is cool... But rooms need A MAJOR update. Old furniture and decor. ....old smell possibly from carpet. Still a good bargain in the off season....I would not pay to stay here during Peake

What a wonderful relaxing place. The room was great, Clean and big enough for me and my 3 kids. Had room for more. No one bothers you and when you do need assistance there always someone there. They have indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Clean and perfect access to the beach.

Loved the parking deck you parked on the level as your room. You just crossed over to your room.

If I could post negative number. I would. Dope being smoked in the room next door, a guest with her portable juke box playing loud and offensive music at the pool where other guest and children were, light fixture falling out of the ceiling, standing water in the coffee pot, holes in the wall, and a dark brown unidentified substance on the carpet. While waiting to speak to the manager (who was nice and apologetic), two young women came to the front desk and complained that other peoples belongings and crumbs were in their bed. I was booked for four nights, stayed one.

I do not wish anyone stay at this hotel, front desk workers very rude and knowledgeable. I left some important items in my room during my stay there called they assured me that my items were found and they would be mailed out the following business day. Ive waited 3 months for my items called and now no one has any clue were my items are called back and got screamed at and told to call in the morning mined you I been waiting for a call back for weeks now

Although it was just the two of us, I will say they are family friendly in a big way, keep the public areas clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful! Close to everything. A good place to spend a week in the sea air and sun!!

The Oceanview suite had an excellent view and was clean. Parking inside was easy, even on a weekend. We did have an issue with being short towels the first night and not having any kitchen cloths or dish soap to wash the dishes we used, but a quick call to the front desk fixed both issues quickly.The front desk staff was fast and polite. Would recommend for a weekend getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at Camelot. We had a gorgeous, newly upgraded one bedroom unit (#1509). The entire place had beautiful porcelain tile throughout and the living room, kitchen and bathroom were completely renovated to look like a designer apartment. And nothing beats that direct ocean view! We could sit out there all night. Great location with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance and only a five minute walk to the boardwalk with tons of fun options for families with young children. The only downside is that it could get a bit loud on the beach in the evening with fireworks and people hanging out on the beach at night. However, it wasn’t enough to deter us from coming back. And we will definitely be back!Helpful tip: I know a lot of the units there are a bit worn (our friends who were also staying there were not as lucky as us to have an upgraded room) so my advice would be to ask for an upgraded unit in advance (I’d highly recommend #1509).

We booked our 2 night stay ahead of time. When we arrived a 3pm, check in desk told us our room was not ready. We waited until after 6:30pm before we called and complained. They ended up giving us another room of equal size.The room appeared clean and the view was great off the balcony. After the first night stay our son had a couple bites on his arm and leg. We thought it may have been misquito or no-seeums. After the second night our son and our friends two daughters had bites all over them. They slept on the pull out sofa. It was infested with bed bugs or traveler bugs.We complained to the Staff and Manager and he said there are no bugs as he had the exterminator come in and check( which was a total lie). we know this because we waited there for a couple hours and seen noone go in or out o check the room. The manager was pretty rude saying he could not give a full refund. So now I have to blast the hotel and the manager in this review.We will definitely not stay there ever again.We had to wash all of our clothes and blankets in hot water and a hot dryer when we got home. Even after washing them in the hotel.

Awesome place. Owner rental condos. We got a penthouse on the 19th floor. Awesome views. Nice indoor and outdoor hot tub. Have stayed here twice. And never a issue. Room was very clean. The first experience of the hotel is you get what you pay for. There is nothing terribly fancy about the place but nothing bad as well. The pools are nice, parking is convenient and the rooms were decent. The views of the ocean and the proximity to it is awesome. Great place for families and a casual stay not a party spot.

This hotel was the best I have ever stayed at by far. The front desk ladies were so sweet and kind and helpful. The parking garage was nice and large. The elevators were clean. We stayed on the penthouse floor and though we paid a little extra it was beyond worth it. Our room was huge, clean and fully stocked. The only negative was the carpet was old and desperately needed to be shampooed. The pools were nice and the hot tub was relaxing. I was super nervous coming to this hotel because of some of the reviews but I was blown away by our room. And the views. We will definitely be back.

Generally a very nice property. However we are members of a travel club that has access to one unit that is outdated and not very clean. I prefer this not be a reflection of the entire property pools are very clean staff very friendly and helpful.

The room was real nice, beach access grate, employees other than frount desk no Mask were being used and where it say no employee on elevator with guest I guess it dose no apply to them every time. Noise Noise this is the Worst Hotel we have ever stayed in for the NOISE of cars, from the street and in the parking garage dose any one take care of the Garage as far as access to it. We WILl NEVER stay in this Hotel again.

We had a wallet stolen from the room, the rooms have a safe but hasnt worked in past 7 years. We had a employee just walk in on us, when they arent supposed to come in unless we request something.

Our check in was at 4pm. We arrived around 330pm. We were told to come back at 4, which was fine that was our check in time anyway. We came back at 4 only to be told our room was not ready and they could not give us an reasonable time we would have to wait. We went and got a drink next door came back to, oh the room isnt cleaned and our cleaners are not answering there phones to say if its done or not. It was miserably hot outside needless to say we ended up having to wait another 1 hour and 45 min. We were treated like it didnt matter that our room wasnt ready at the agreed upon time. Other that that the room is nice and it was clean. The only issue we had was with the staff at the front desk.

The hotel far as the room and location was perfect. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because everywhere u look outside they are big water bugs everywhere. In the hallways, stairway, balcony and even in the elevator. And just so happens on the last night there I was laying in the bed sleep and i woke up to something crawling on my arm and it was one of them water bugs. Besides that it was perfect. The staff was very helpfull and friendly

This hotel is disgusting. The rooms were terribly dirty. The furniture was soiled. We literally had to clean the room when we came in (too late to find another hotel). This is by far the worst I have stayed at in South Carolina. The only plus was the ocean view (thats the 1star). I NEVER do reviews. Thats how disappointing this was.

I was weary from all the reviews, but it was very nice! Our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom was clean and newly remodeled. Also fully stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. Sofa bed could use a new mattress, but the main beds were very comfy and clean! Pools are open and clean, but lazy river didn’t have any floats. Hotel is taking all precautions to be safe during this time. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely stay again!

The place is run down and needs to be updated. The beds were not comfortable the mattress are worn out. The toilet was coming up from the floor. Balcony door was very hard to open. The staff was friendly. The appliances worked fine. The best part about this place was having a balcony overlooking the ocean.

The couch, pillows and curtains are dirty. But everything else was ok. It would be good if maybe they had a dollar tree broom in the room so you can clean up a little. Also they charged us a smoking fee for what looks like someone lit a firework off the balcony but it was there prior to our stay. They ocean view was a beautiful scenery though.

We stayed for one night and had a good time. The pools are nice. They had a couple hot tubs and a heated lazy river which was very nice. The room we stayed in was a king with pull out sofa bed. The king was comfortable and the sofa bed was terrible. The AC was great which is rare. The room could use a coat of paint but was still nice. The door handle was broken and clearly had been for awhile. I would stay here again.

Spent 2020 Valentines weekend through AirB&B....$70/night for the entire beach facing condo on the 18th floor. It was pristinely clean (rm 1812) brand new renovation. Sleeps 5 (2xqueens & fold out couch) with 2x65 smart TVs (so we could watch our Netflix).Free 10 level parking with overlooking the city views, security gate. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Free wifi. I just cant say enough absolutely great things about this place.....book it and you will be pleased.Our host even left a card and complimentary bottle of some nice wine. THAT was above and beyond. Our AirB&B host is a superhost named Nicholas - I think he has several condos here.Electric fireplace, kitchen with full size sink, fridge, and stove/oven. Cabinets and all. The balcony overlooking the ocean was gorgeous - sat out there for hours listening to the waves.

When I check in i always check for bed bugs no there wasnt any bugs but the mattress they tried to hide was black and brown. I went to Walmart and bought some sheet sets and put on the top of the bed. I wasnt going to pull the covers back to sleep on those covers. So I havent slept in 3 days. And also the reason for me coming to the beach was so my grandbabies could enjoy the beach for the first time. I wasnt going to ruin our trip. Also my grandbaby was running around that night and I looked at her feet they were black. I went down stairs that morning and ask did anyone mop? They sent someone right up. The customer service was great but I dont think I will every be back to camelot of the sea!! EVER AGAIN!!

First and last stay at this hotel. I would not recommend at all. We had three nights booked and left after two.

The reviews looked nice but this hotel wasnt. We got the absolute worse room on the first floor. We had a balcony but the view to the ocean was blocked off by trees. The room when we arrived smelled musty and of mold. The refrigerator was old and dirty. Cabinets in the kitchen seemed like they werent clean. The beds I will say are comfortable. The only saving grace for this room was how close it is to the beach. The pool has a tiki bar with very over priced items. I do not reccomend coming here. You can get cheaper and better places

The staff was friendly made check in very easy. The room was ok, the kitchen area was too narrow and the cabinets are very dated. The beds are right at the front door an the living room is in the back facing the ocean. The parking garage was attached to the hotel next to the elevators so that was a nice plus. Overall decent hotel.

This place was absolutely horrible. The pictures are nothing like what you will see in person. My 2 sons accidentally left their tshirts at the pool before we could walk back down the pool was closed, went to the pool the very next morning and asked about the items and out of 4 people, two being pool attendants 3 could not give an answer as to where the items were and what their protocol is for lost and found items (the protocol is located in a book in the hotel room by the way) but I asked because I wanted to be sure that what I read was correct. They are supposed to hold items for 30 days. They threw the shirts IN THE TRASH. We were told that whatever pool attendant is working just simply does what they want to do with any items left behind. When asked where this was posted in the pool area no answer could be given, but the unprofessional woman at the front desk stated that “it’s common sense to throw the items away because of COVID” I WAS LIVID to say the least and provided the unprofessional lady more than a few choice words. There was another woman there that was willing to help out and answer my questions about the policy that I had read in the hotel room book. The items were found in the trash (BY US) and we requested that they be pulled out by the pool attendant that never even took the time to look in the trash after we were told that’s probably where they were. I was absolutely disgusted with this place and will never return or recommend it. The elevators were very hot and had no air circulation, the baby pool was absolutely filthy, THE WATER IS BROWN and it was full of dirt. We only took this hotel because we decided to extend our stay at the last minute and it seemed okay. This place looks more like an overpriced Motel, and they have the nerve to charge a deposit of $150, RIDICULOUS. Book at your own risk.

This place was amazing! The oceanfront view was absolutely stunning! The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy! Staff was friendly and the place is overall pretty quite and laid back. A very relaxing vacation!

The location is amazing, check-in is super easy, and being able to park close to the room was great. However, the entire place is so dirty! The pools and hot tub were filthy, the chairs in the grass are covered in bird poop and dirt, and we couldnt walk barefoot in our room without having black feet. I had to wipe off all of the dressers before using them and our bedroom door had some nasty residue on it that was easily wiped off. They arent cleaning rooms during your stay right now and you have to empty your own trash in the dumpsters in the hallway. Weve been to Myrtle Beach several times and thought wed try a new resort, but wed never stay here again. You can easily find a better resort for the same price if not cheaper.

Love this place. Lazy river, 2 big pools, toddler pool and 2 jacuzzis. I stayed in the 3 bedroom 2 bathroom penthouse. The penthouse floor was very quiet.

This place is NOT recommended. The kiddie pool is freaking filthy. Theres a sign in the pool area that says FLOATS ONLY, NO WALKING IN LAZY RIVER, however there are NO FLOATS PROVIDED. The room we stayed in was clean, but it had an weird odor and the furniture is extremely outdated. NOTHING like the pictures. It was alright. Check in was kind of a nightmare. Cannot check in until 4 and still have to pay for the entire day.Be prepared for $150 deposit.Vending machines were empty the entire time we were there.Bar was closed even though they had told me it was open when I booked it.Does have good views and is within walking distance to some attractions.

Positive: We loved our room and the hotel but we did not have maid service we had to hunt down towels and garbage bags. Iâ€m not sure why. Other then that it was a great price for a great room. Negative: No maid service and no way to get towels except hint down a maid.

This hotel was perfect for my husband and myself for a 5 night stay. The rates were good for the amenities offered. Location is PERFECT. Our room was updated, clean, bed was comfortable and staff friendly.

The only thing we enjoyed was the pool and ocean front view. This place is in desperate need of cleaning and updating. They tried giving us 40 dollars back but that didnt even cover the $50.00 meal that I ate with my family. We put leftovers in the fridge only to get up to warm food. The couch was gross, linens smelled, nails sticking out of all walls, sprinkler system rusted, upholstery coming off chairs with tacs sticking out, holes in door fixed with duct tape and painted, brown stuff on ceilings, bad lighting, no remotes worked, clocks not working, oven dirty, ran out of toilet paper and took 5 hours to get some. Had 3 towels for 4 guests. Room service didnt come and requested more towels and took all day to get them. Trash was piled up in corners of parking decks. This place is a mess. First day you couldnt even use pool area due to maintenance. Their website is far fetched from an enjoyable experience.

Ew. literally the worst. the floors cane very dirty and sand was EVERYWHERE! i tell you everywhere! even i had a little sand on my feet and the beds get sooooo sandy. everything is very cheaply/poorly cleaned. the sink was also broken. and extra towels and stuff were very hard to ask for

We had such a great stay! The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a musty smell upon check in, they came with a humidifier within 20 minutes. We were missing a cookie sheet to cook with, they brought us a brand new one within 20 minutes of asking. The main reason for the lack of 5th star was the mold on our kitchen chairs, the horribly slow elevators, difficult thermostat, and older age of the facility, but we still had a wonderful time, with a great view!!

This is a family friendly hotel located in the heart of Myrtle Beach, SC. For kids its a grand slam! The indoor lazy river isnt as crowded as some of the other nearby resorts and so my kids had room to stretch out and play full on. While they had their fun I whiled away the time soaking in the jacuzzi! I met some great folks and enjoyed myself as well.Granted we are here for the Winter weekend of 1/18/2020 so this is definitely not the busy season. However we spent one night here and moved on for the second night to Dunes Village resort. Saunter over to my review of Dunes Village when you finish this little tidbit to check out pics and info on that other hotspot.The facility itself is bearably clean and decidedly dated. Please do not come with ANY expectations of luxury. The accommodations here do just that. They give you a safe haven to retire to at the end of a fun day at the pool and on the beach, but no fancy twist will be forthcoming.Now to the Views at Camelot! In a word: breathtaking! :) This isnt surprising since most of the beachfront properties here offer top notch views. Our room overlooked the outdoor pool and the ocean. Unfortunate the weather did not cooperate this time around so unfortunate no sunrise/sunset pics.Parking was great. I was able to park in the garage and then take about 12 steps to my door. Ok...ok maybe 34 steps, but you get the picture. When youre trying to pack up a waddle of kids and youre the only adult in the bunch youll come to understand just how grateful a person can be for easy access covered parking.Side note thre is a Dunkin Donuts attached to the building so I love this place just for that! LoL! You can also walk a block over to Dollar General, a liquor store, a candy/icecream parlor that is very kid friendly, McDonalds and a commercial souvenir chain store or hit up the restaurant next door for karaoke.Ill try to post additional pics once I figure out how to pull them over from Google Cloud to my maps. LoL! Either way I hope this helps you make a choice for your next adventure!
