Impromptu visit was a delight with a 3-year-old. From the playful water fountain area to the flowers and LOVE sign for obligatory photos, it was so much fun. Hes asking when we can go again.

This is a really nice park. No playground but it you want to teach your kid how to ride a bike go here. Nice field and riding path that is flat. If you want to walk your dog here it is. Try it out and you will like it.

The Commodores were great! They still have it! The opening band from Roanoke was also a hit. They did a variety of music and had the crowd dancing.

A good venue to host some interesting festivities. I love sitting by the river right under. So calm and powerful. Very refreshing for the mind.

Great park but they ruined one of the best areas with the Alpine trail. Lynchburg Parks and Recreation have a directional problem in which they destroy what makes the Lynchburg Parks and Landscape truly special and replace it with cobbled together trendy installations of poor quality. Sometimes I believe this is a face saving process after millions are spent on consulting everyone but the people going to the parks.

We always enjoy the riverfront! Whether were performing, there to enjoy a show or when the spray ground is open and my grand babies need a friendly space to cool off! Its just perfect!!

The splash pad is a great place to cool the kids off when youre downtown. Definitely bring swimsuits though, because although the water looks small, its big to them, so theyll end up happily soaked.

This is my favorite park in Lynchburg. I love the downtown atmosphere, the beautiful flowers, and the fun fountains for the kids. We actually celebrated my twins 2nd birthday here. First we stopped by the nearby ice cream shop for some dessert and then let the kids run through the fountains. While they played the adults sat and relaxed. It was a blast!

This venue is a great space in downtown Lynchburg, right by the water and tons of delicious restaurants. Different events are held there each weekend and it is very accessible.

Holy Cross St Paddys Day 5k

Nice, grassy hillside to sit in the shade with a great view of the river.

Plenty of activities downtown,and nice events take place on the weekends. Top quality resterants.

Very relaxing and charming part of town. Great trails on which to walk, cute little cafes, many people walking dogs, and plenty of benches for people watching.

Peaceful low key little splash pad. Good for little little ones. Wish there was a bathroom.

Great green grassy area with room to play, have a picnic or walk your dog. Love the water feature where you often see kids running through the water spouts that shoot up from the ground. Ample parking available and lots of restaurants are close by within walking distance.

I saw Steve Miller here, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Great venue for concerts. The atmosphere was friendly including the police officers. They were especially lenient when they didnt have to be.

A good place for a concert. And it has a cute splash zone for the kids. But other than that its basically just a field :/

I think the VIP tent was set up on the wrong side the people who did not have the 10th should have been over there by the shade where the trees are and the people who had the chance to be a beast the special people should have been over there closer to the railroad tracks so maybe next year or another event you would think about the people who cannot afford the special tickets but yet they can enjoy the concert in the shade and let the people who have the money be underneath the tent and everything would work out better

Nice park with a few green spaces to throw a ball around and have fun. There is a water fountain where you can run through to cool off. Its still under construction but is already a good park.

Beyond the great biking or river walks, the old warehouse rennosance has some wonderful eateries.

Love the walking park n the scenery. Great place to take the kids to ride their bikes scooters exc n a nice playground. Fishing tubing n boating if youd like to.

Its a large event space. The park, itself, is just an open area next to The Water Dog. Its good for casual sports or walking your pet. I like to bring a blanket and lay out in the sun.

Very disappointed. I expected to be able to get up close to the river. Fenced off from bicyclists, walkers, and drivers.
