Great little park. A nice walking trail that my toddlers can easily do themselves. Decent fishing!
Simple, but a nice place for a quick walk... trails are short, so dont expect to get over a miles worth
Right next to the Frito-Lay Plant and near a plastic production factory. Place reeked of a unique mix of chicken nuggets, pretzels, and rubber. No lie, look it up on Google Maps if you dont believe me. Other than that its a nice green space away from al the troubles in the world.
Mmm I sure do love the smell of potato chips and plastic! Frito lay and another company is next door so it may smell. Other than that its good.
The Ivy Creek Park is a place that I take the dog to the dog park. Its very nicely kept up and the people I meet there are very nice people.
Clean, nice secluded park with playground, trails, pier to fish off and during normal environmental conditions (ie. NOT COVID closures or winter time) canoe rentals etc. Fish were biting today. Catch and release. Kiddos loved it!
Beautiful place. Great place for a quiet walk, fishing and playground for the kids.
Very nice park. Clean considering the current world situations. Geese are a bit territorial. However, very nice. And there are a ton of Pokemon...lol
Drove here only to see No Trespassing Private Property signs at the entrance. I remember coming here a few years back and we were able to kayak / swim / walk around the lake
One of my favorite parks. Scenic trails. Wildlife and a nice covered picnic table area.
A small park. Has a fishing pond, Two port a potty, A small shelter and grill, and pretty much everything youd expect from a park but on a smaller scale.Playground is aimed at younger children. No swings, but there is a climbing rock.A lot of bird houses around and ample opprotunity for bird watching.
It was an easy .5 mile walk around the pond. Little muddy after yesterdays rain. Good smell from Frito lays plant which made me hungry. Plus park had restrooms. Need to bring fishing poles and license.
Quaint little fishing Pond nice people
Had a great time kayaking with my boo Cindi
Nice lake for fishing, kayaking and just enjoyment. Quite a hike from the parking to the lake.
The pond they call Clemons Lake is stocked but very small. Its a pretty and small place but you are not allowed to clear a spot on the bank to be able to fish other than their deck and canoe rentals. They have a nice canoe teaching program but the pond is small and its hard to fish with them in front of you. They have a spot for kids but like one toy if you will for them to play on. They need more. Nice place but a mini place. The people there are are excellent and informative.
This is a nice sprawling park with a good size pond you can walk around, well kept dock and shoreline with opportunities for canoeing and kayaking which I believe they rent out on the weekends. Lots of places to sit and take in the scenery and a small playground for kids who are interested. I have been here a few times mostly for the fish, which have been challenging to catch at times but overall a good spot to let the kids and dog burn off some energy or just relax.
Clean spaces great trails and fishing! Great place!
Adorable little park. Nice place to go fishing, let the kids play, or walk the dog.
Decent fishing spot along with playground and hiking trails watch out for snakes
I took my 4 year old daughter here for an outing and really enjoyed it. A friendly staff member set us up with life jackets and a canoe rental, just $8 for an hour. The lake is small enough to easily paddle around, but still fun enough to spend about an hour.
Clean and someone caught a trout!
Lovely park. Quick and enjoyable hike around the pond.
Rude ppl. Every time I go there with my son to eat at the pic nic tables, someone always has to come down there. Theyre not even eating! Water fountain doesnt work. The best part of the park is the geese.
Great place to walk. The building is never open. Plenty of spots to eat lunch and the deck is nice.
This place is great for fishing, hiking, picnics, and watching wildlife. We saw turtles swimming, frogs all over, butterflies, and lots of fish! Just be sure to wear bug repellent, as we saw some lone star ticks!
Small and deserted Park. Great if you want to go canoeing or do some type of water boat activity
Had a great trip. Walked around the pond. Saw pond life. Would love to go back and rent a canoe
Multiple well maintained trails to walk and its usually not too busy in the morning/early afternoon.
I love going to this place. Its so nice and quiet. A clean place. U can even go fishing here!!
There are easy to follow trials and a lake.
Nice park and pond, but a bit underwhelming. There is a small play ground, but nothing big; Fun for children either way, though. The boat rentals surprise me a bit just because of the size of said pond. Fun to fish there, but never caught anything; only smart fish there, so dont plan your destination weekend fishing expedition at Ivy Creek Park. There are a few trails, but they are a bit secluded so using the trails alone could possibly be an unwise idea. There are pavilions with picnic tables. Overall a good place.
Beautiful place at sunrise, nice trail to take walks and the people from the neighborhood are friendly. Also, its a nice place to clear your mind and just enjoy your surroundings.
Nice tiny lake with canoe and kayak rentals. And hiking trails
The trail is amazing. A great place to fish for trout and catfish.
I enjoyed the walking trail with my family. The playground was a bit small, however the kids enjoyed what was there. I would definitely visit again as the trail is a peaceful place for a great workout.
Nice deck lots of panfish
Very nice place for a family outing. Good exercise.
Not much of a park. Fishing is poor. The VDGIF releases trout in the pond the urban trout program. They could definitely find a better place than Ivy Creek Park pond.
This park has great fishing and nature trails. Employees of local businesses often come here for a walk at lunch time. There are canoe and kayak rentals on the weekends. Because of heavy pressure, the fish are very shy and difficult to catch, but can be above average in size. The pond is very crowded immediately after winter trout stockings take place. There is a large hill with a paved path to get to the nature trails and pond from the parking lot. The trails are not paved and get muddy after a rain.
Nice little oasis in the city. Hard to believe youre in the industrial park.
A nice park, but not for young children. I have a 9 year old and 18 month old. The 9 year old had a blast, but the 18 month old got bored. I love the trails and you can fish as well in the pond. Great for families with older kids!
A beautiful, peaceful space to walk and relax. No weirdos there!
This is nothing more than a glorified fishing hole. Not sure why they have kayak rentals. It hardly seems worth it to skim across the murky, stagnant looking water. And in the middle of a Saturday afternoon, the rental office was closed anyway...though it said you could rent them. The water fountain didnt work either. If you dont have a backyard then I guess this is the place for you. But Im not going to be back.
Love the fishing
Needs benches on dock then Id give it 5
Good place to walk with your family decent fishing but using your own boat canoe or kayak is prohibited would have been nice to know before we loaded the canoe up!
Great hidden Gem in Lynchburg
Nice walk. Probably better when it isnt soaked from hurricane Florence
Fun peacefully park. Very quiet and nice little place to walk.
Fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and walking trails right in the city make it a great little place to get away.
Super fun fishing spot
Nice place to walk and relax in Lynchburg. The fishing was a bust. Not sure if it is stocked, but we came up empty handed.
No stars. The lady cursed at my son. All he was trying to do was help. She did apologize but she was very rude to the kids.
Great place for walking and if you like to fish also great for that although I think its a catch and release pond, not being a fisher not positive on that.
Every time I go to Lynchburg I stop here...always clean and pleasant
Beautiful and now has stocked trout
Nice pretty clean
Nice and clean area. You can do light fishing. Its not secluded, but its not crowded there at all.
Nice little pond, good variety of fish, need trout license certain times of the year
Nice place bring your own beverage though
A nice park to spend a day at with family.
Im in graduate school and Ivy Creek is my favorite place in Lynchburg to go to relax and study, its gorgeous. Beautiful views!
Beautiful park. Peaceful and you can fish there.
Very clean, a nice park with a great view and tons of fun activities.
Beautiful place to be if you love nature but fishing there sucks.
Great little park nestled behind Sheetz and the industrial park.
Nice little overlook of the lake with the mountains in the background.
Hidden little gem. Not a whole lot there.
Nice place for kids
Was amazing.
Beautiful place to fish or take pictures at!
Nice place for peace and quite and fishing.
My dog loves to explore here.
Very relaxing had a great time with family
Great park, great trails year round
They should post a do not swim sign walked all the way up there with my kidsand wasnt aloud to swim
Quiet, clean, scenic
Lots of trails, bike paths, tennis courts. Even has a frisbee golf course.
The fish are rude
Love it
Relaxing environment
Small, no good for dogs its too short and they cant swim
Shutdown
Our family favorite...
