So many great places set up here. We love to come walk around on Saturdays.
This place has great potential but really needs some help in building it into something fabulous.
Always a great time..the vendors are knowledgeable and friendly...and the produce is fresh! I especially love the local honey!!! Remember local honey keeps you healthy ️
Desolate. Covid-19 has not been kind. I do highly recommend Philippine Delight. Really good food at a super price!
The selection of goods here is most excellent, from the produce (which encompasses everything from apples and turnips to honey and bison) to the eateries. The coffee store and the southern cooking are amazing, the baked goods make you want more, the lavender shop smells so good and the crafts are really cool, too! If you have never been, you are missing out!!
Very nice. Love the vibe.
Local food and a couple boutiques. Craft places closed. Nothing much to see.
Cool little farmers market with a good variety of produce and food items
Great place to get fresh produce, meat, and seafood. Decent prices of you shop around.
This is an amazing market, keep up with their calendar online or on social media, always something fun and free to do there. Bring your kids and even your little dog, seems pet friendly. I love to get flowers, fruits, veggies, pies. I enjoy seeing the artisans inside and a lot of the time they have music or other entertainment there. Great history at this marketing if you havent been in awhile youre missing out.
Fresh fruits and vegetables at good prices. Direct from the grower.
Nice variety of produce, meats prepared food to eat and good pastries
Irans is the best lunch in town!!!
It makes you feel like youve gone back in time. EVERYONE is friendly & helpful. Whenever I come to Lynchburg, its our Saturday morning outing
Good collection of summer veggies and fruits.
I love shopping at Lynchburg Community Market. They have a large variety of unique hand made crafts, fresh local produce, meats, breads, baked goods, and cheeses, and souvenirs. My husband and I love to come in here and eat at some of the resturants inside while we shop. They have Vietnamese, Filipino, and classic country cuisines perfect for whatever youre in the mood for.
A wonderful place to shop and eat. Some of the nicest people youd ever want to meet.
Shut down because of Covid, it was NOT open in September 2020.
Got everything I needed. Quick and the vendors were really helpful.
My husband and I always enjoy our time at the Lynchburg Community Market. In the past few years we have attempted to adopt a vegetarian/vegan way of eating for its health benefits, while supporting our local farmers and merchants. We appreciate the opportunity to socialize with local people as well as visitors who stop by. There is a variety of shops inside as well as merchants and farmers outside offering local fruits, vegetables, honey, crafts, prepared foods, particularly wonderful chocolates as well as locally made organic bath and body products and so much more. We especially enjoy our social time with many friendly souls in our community all while supporting our local farmers, merchants, and friends.
A local gathering place to meet up with friends (whether you intended to or not), purchase local produce, but theres also a variety of vendors selling everything from bee pollen products to hand crafted doll furniture. Be sure to come hungry as there are a variety of breakfast and other food options to choose from including a local bakery. Most weekends, there will be live music to add to the happy ambience. Its definitely our happy place!
Its always fun to visit the market anytime of year. There are great places to eat and loads of locally grown produce plus many artisans.
This place is the best location to get hand crafted items for any occasion. The individual vendors are both personable and so individual- and theres a ton of great craftsmanship too.
Always a great experience! Love the cheese lady that has fresh cheeses from Amish- the fresh pastas are great! Love the local honey- everyone is awesome ️
Lots of fun! Had breakfast just on right, maybe Barbs. Very good. Lots of interesting vendors.
Great place to visit Saturday morning! Great local food from honest, local farms.
Great for locally grown produce and meats. Several good places to eat there as well as local crafts and products.
Philippine delight was awesome
Due to covidnization most venders were closed, but those open were like family
Irenes Country Cooking is where its at for a country-style meal. I like to go there during lunch (she only serves breakfast & lunch) to grab a plentifully portioned lunch. I always have enough for 2. Her staff always know what I like when they see me, which is awesome!
Awesome food. Market staff and vendors are very nice and friendly. Barbs Dream Hut is the place to be for good hometown cooking. You can also get fresh baked goods at the bakery. Beautiful clothes at Willowbreeze and the best natural products for hair and skin right next door to Willowbreeze. Not to mention fresh fruits. Get down to the market
Great atmosphere always great food at barbs dreamhut and the items for sale/shops are so neat!
Several local apple varieties and vendors!
I found this farmers market to be a tad on the small side and lacking in certified organic produce and meats. The vendors were very friendly. The prices were kind of reasonable.
Good place to find 100% grass fed and finished beef
Id never been here before. Some good food here.
Barbs! Great home cooked food. Get one of the daily lunch specials. You will be full and satisfied!
Lynchburg Community Market is a great place for locally grown produce, crafts, and food. The Chicken Salad there is delicious. The Vendors are very friendly, the produce fresh, the Food delicious, and the Prices reasonable. They are open every Saturday and certain days during the week. Its a nice place to take the Family as there is also events held throughout the year.
To start with prices are cheaper than Walmart food is fresher and healthier and customer service treats you like family. The farmers and vendors love their customers and want to get to know you even better. Some will even bargain on their prices. Ive never had anything to complain about here. Nor have I ever heard a complaint about the market. in my opinion if somewhere has never had a complaint to my knowledge that makes them great because someone always has a complaint about a place.
This is a great place for the community. To buy and sell local goods and hand made items. If you love your city or love your state, hell if you love your country... Go here!
I go to every Farmers market I see. I just love the atmosphere the color the friendly faces and enjoy looking at the different selections of goods. This was hands down the best one Ive ever seen in 20 years. The different vendors all with beautiful fresh foods, everybody was friendly it seemed like the community center!
Cant miss this every Saturday!! We just moved from Florida and come most weekends. So many vendors and different fruits and veggies. Several food vendors (Vietnamese, Philippines, Persian, and more ) .come hungry!!
I went during late lunch time 1pm on a Thursday in July. Most shop vendors inside were closed and no outdoor market. Food available was more burgers, sandwiches and southern meat and veggies... the bakeries and coffee roaster made their own array of goods, but the only thing local about the only open cafes was that they are locally owned. This is the second time Ive been to this market and I remain unimpressed.
Farmers market, bakery, coffee roaster, cafes, local meats, local arts and crafts, and a busy atmosphere. Saturday morning is the best time to visit.
Barbs Dream hut has great food, great service and unbeatable prices. Closed on Mondays
This is a real Farmers market. While youre there please have a crepe at Lorraines Bakery. You will thank me later. The Mediterranean is my favorite but honestly theyre all delicious. I promise.
This is a really neat place. The Farmers market is outside and local quizine and flea market is inside. I met many local people here. Food was great and so was the atmosphere.
Come early on Saturday. Fresh locally grown vegatibles of every kind are available. And Irenes serves up a breakfast that cant be beat...
Best bakery around. Everything is delicious and sells out fast. Get there early.
If you are looking for local and fresh produce this is the place to go to. Also great small gifts are available. Don’t forget to try the different food vendors. Just all in all a great place to hang out on a Saturday morning with friends and family.
What a lovely little town. Fathers bakery was lovely in the community market and i would recommend their donuts
Great Farmers Market, open daily for breakfast and lunch, try Dream Hut and Phillipine Delight, both amazing.
Fun place to buy homemade goods.
Great selection of fresh produce, baked goods, hand made items and more. Spacious. Clean.
Small Town market with a variety of great vendors, food and crafts.
Enjoyed every moment! And Barbs restaurant inside is magnificent!
Always a great experience...the people, the food, the products, the atmosphere. Highly recommend a casual stroll through this market on Wednesdays or Saturdays. Stay awhile...meet some people...try some local goods. You wont regret it!
Super cute little town, I felt in love with it!
Great place to shop and eat I had a great time last night and the bands wow lots of people having fun
A nice place to spend Saturday morning shoppong and eating
Some really great products and friendly people. Would definitely visit again if I find myself in that area!
Not so friendly ppl, can be disrespectful
Cool famers market with a neat combination of local produce and hand made items.
I loved every second in this local market, fresh food and fresh coffee from Thomas.I highly recommend this market
Great prices, great selection of wares, great food.
I love Miss Irenes cooking!!
Great place for fresh, locally grown plants, fruits and vegetables. Inside there are a variety of interesting vendors as well.
The lynchings are spot on, top quality. I was selected to be the one being lynched once, and I can never forget it. The absolute best lynching I have ever gone through.Sent from the hell hole that I dpbelong in
Im not one to say this but I wish I could give more than five stars for a venue. This is where humans come to be humans. Great food, community, sometimes music, wares, clothing, and anything else a town could want! Everyone is super friendly and theres tons of local businesses selling their products. I come here almost every Saturday morning to get bread and eggs. The prices are generally unbeatable. If I may, theres a shop in very back-left corner that has the most amazing chicken salad sandwiches, plus sides, for under $5.00. Tons of great coffee and sweets, too. Dont leave Lynchburg without visiting the community market!
Omgosh! This place has truly grown since I was a kid. The mini restaurant that is just inside the door as you walkin the door, sorry cant remember the name of it, is AH-MAZING to eat at but not just that, our local artisans are there selling some amazing stuff. Definitely worth your while!!!!
Plan on eating breakfast and lunch...plenty of goodies to go around. Great veggies and fruit, and fresh!
Great produce, lovely peopleGreat treats !
There is nothing better than getting up early on Saturday and going to the market with my family. I love getting local fruits, vegetables, and handmade products. If you need something to do on the weekend, I highly recommend stopping by. There are places to eat, lots of different vendors, and often activities for kids too.
Small market, it was a sale day when we visited but had some good products
Busy place on Saturdays but well worth it!
Love the natural grown veggies and fruit from local farmers!
Great fresh/local vegetables and other vendors
They have fresh produce, numerous vendors and wide range of choices!
Go around to any of the surrounding cities, including Richmond, and you will quickly learn that Lynchburg is hands down the best Famers Market, North, South, East, or West of here. Food and plants are excellent. Venders are honest and extremely nice. The bakery is open again with two local chefs that decided to run the shop. Wednesday is a great time to go and Saturday is extrwamly busy, especially when fruits and vegetables start to come in season.
Barbs at the community market is the best.
Great place for local produce and goods. Loved the local atmosphere.
Fantastic finds every Saturday! Horseradish cheddar, great produce, friendly vendors. Great selections of loose leaf tea. Barbs is great for a quick breakfast stop!
Always love visiting our local vendors. Oshun Organics is my favorite vendor!
Loved the market. We met some. Nice people.
Great community market, atmosphere is awesome, prices are good. 5/5
Bakery; local produce, meat, and eggs; crafts; the market has something for everyone!
Always come here for local produce and for sweet treats from Rivermont baking.
The community market sits in downtown Lynchburg in a convenient location right in the middle of everything at 12th and Main. A bustling place on Saturday mornings for local produce, cheeses, flowers and friends. There are permanent locals here as well offering food, wine and crafts of the Appalachians throughout the week.
Fun Saturday morning market with great vendors.
I got everything I need to cook fresh for Sunday dinner.
Lots of produce, even fresh mushrooms.
Amazing items from the vendors, great food too!!! A must see place if your in the area when they are open!!!
Love it
Awesome community farmers market. Delicious food and coffee! I recommend Barbs Dream Hut for some breakfast!
What fun! Way too expensive tho...
I have worked there over 11 years. Love it
