Great place the visit. Beautiful views of the James River

Lots of history and lots to learn.There are lots of steps so be prepared for a work out whilst you take in the history surrounding you.

Very moving and artistic tribute to all the fallen military heroes from all US conflicts. Also every Fridays from 12 pm to 1 pm, local veteran gather to support our troops.

Its so good to know and experience that veterans are honored and remembered here.

Truly breathtaking evening views and sunset that lights up the Lynch fountain. Highly recommend going just before sunset.

I l7ve a block from it it is a historical landmark leading to st and the museum it is frequently visited by veterans school trips and citizens climbing it for exercise

Pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this landmark! We happened to just pass it while driving through and made a point to park and explore it further- so glad we did!

This place lists the names of all the martyred from worldwars, Korean and Vietnam wars. medications Minnesota have the same surname, which means that same family loss many family members to the world. This morning man reflects of a gratitude to them henceI love it

Excellent for exercising

Great place, lots of memories and people here. Every Friday is the right time to be there to honor our VietNam Vets and the POW/MIAs.

The statue is five stars but walking up the stairs sucks balls

The monument you cannot miss if you are in downtown Lynchburg.

Love this beautiful stairway downtown. Worth a slow stroll to read the memorials on each level. Also a great workout!

Great historical place to visit and learn about

A classic piece of history and a walk through time. The steps can be challenging, but well worth the walk.

This was a great place to visit. My wife and I stopped by here after a date night. It was very cold, however walking the many stairs kept us warm. I liked all the different war time displays. And we went at night when no one else was there and it wasn’t gated at all, it is open to the public 24/7.

Beautiful place! Its a great commemoration of Lynchburgs interesting history and still fully accessible to the public. It overlooks the city all the way down to the James River, so its a great spot for a family photo or a date.Parking can be a little bit troublesome depending on when you go, but Lynchburg is fun to walk around, so you can find plenty of free street or garage parking a couple of blocks away.
