Excellent tour and tasting. They adapted to new guidelines and we enjoyed our visit. The tour included tasting several of the recent single barrel releases. Good overview of their history, how they make their product and how its different. Staff was some of the friendliest around and its was a worthwhile trip.

We had spare time while walking around Louisville and stopped in just to see what Peerless was all about. No tour scheduled but they fit us in to a tasting and I have to say, this was by and far my favorite experience of our entire weekend trip in Kentucky. Jerry made us feel like we were old friends. We were welcomed in and given a brief but very knowledgeable history on Peerless. Our tasting was excellent. 4 different single barrels (2 Rye, 2 Bourbon) and each had its own uniqueness.Thank you Jerry so much for making us feel so welcome to the distillery. And thank you Mark for leading such a great curated tasting.

This was our last stop of our 11-day bourbon trail trip! We enjoyed talking to the staff before our tour. Our tour was in the distillery and we were able to see their process. We had been to many distilleries and this one was one of the top distilleries. We loved the tasting at the end and of course purchased some to take home. Dont miss Peerless!!

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting hosted by Jerry. Not only were the bourbons Incredible, but the experience and storytelling were top notch. For the low price we paid for the tasting, it was unforgettable.Highly recommend... except for the fact that the bourbon was so good that we bought A LOT of bottles Don’t sleep on this distillery!!! This was probably the best tour I have ever been on through a distillery. They were so friendly and they have some of the funniest storys, it was so rich with history and knowledge of the different process es not just their own. I also helps that the bourbon was amazing. They even capture how the barrels are made with pictures and examples. I had such a wonderful time I would recommend anyone to visit if they are in the area. I only wish their products were more available where I live. They have some awesome glassware for sale as well.

Looking at the label, I would have passed on this bourbon in a heartbeat. However, after the tasting and the attitude of the staff, I cannot recommend this distillery enough! The quality of their product and customer service cannot be praised enough. The bonus of the day was meeting the owner, Corky, and talking about his Dads military service. Peerless MUST be a visit when in Louisville!!!

I enjoyed the taste testing and the whiskey was delicious. That being said, the tour portion of this is TEDIOUS. Worst I’ve been on in the 7+ distilleries we visited this trip. Myself and others touring were visibly impatient with the long-winded descriptions of every process, the repetition of the same facts, and how our guide was all over the place. I recommend this if you have time to kill (over an hour of listening this this guy ramble on and on). I will buy their products but I will not return to this location. Something needs to be done to address this tour guide, as a local driver warned us about his “reputation.” Wish I listened to her!

Wonderful place. I was skeptical prior to arriving given the youth of the juice and price point. After tasting through their products, you can tell the level of detail that goes into the product, materials, etc. I made a purchase there as the single barrel expressions are only available on premise. This is a must taste; and I also loved the staff. Dont miss this one!

Great experience touring and learning about the facility. What set Peerless apart from the other tours Ive attended through the weekend is the distinct pride and care they have for their product demonstrated throughout the tour and proven through the complex flavor in their samples. I appreciate their attention to quality over quantity. I loved learning about their history and the process they used in comparison to some of the bigger names in the bourbon industry. I look forward to their future experiments.

Great at explaining the distilling process. Educational and entertaining. I personally didn’t drink (DD), but the others in my group loved the Nectar (1st sample) and purchased bottles afterward. We got to meet “Corky” the CEO before the tasting and he told us about the history of his family and the brand. But the best part-they have a shop cat who’s adorable! They also have a couple “Rickhouse kitties” that are working cats, they keep critters out! This seems like a hidden treasure and it’s definitely worth enjoying! Thanks for a memorable experience!

Because of our time limits, we only did the tasting part of the tour. The staff and owners of Peerless should be proud of this very fine distillery! The retail area is well thought-out with neat displays and merchandise. The tasting room is also well done with lots of room at the counter/bar. My only regret is that I did not purchase the bigger bottle single barrel. As I write this review, I am sipping on some barrel proof with a fine cigar. This was a Fantastic Tour! I would definitely say top 3 on Whiskey Row and is worth the walk. I would definitely try and go when Corky The Owner is there. Typically on the weekends. Its an added bonus if the master distiller is there. Since they are a smaller craft distiller, it adds another perspective to how they look for quality not quantity. They have a lot of single barrel bourbons that can only be purchased at the distillery. It might seem pricey, but for only 200ish bottles per barrel, its definitely a rarity. If you dont have time for the tour, then do the tasting. You will get to taste the single barrels and they will change as they run out of supply, so visit occasionally to always try something new.

Its Peerless, its all in the name... There is no peer to them. Their rye is supeerior to all others. Its the sweet mash that really makes it amazing. The single barrels are insane in flavor and a level of unique that is well beyond reproach. Ney I say they are peerless... But seriously, the tour is a blast, the level of detail and care taken to educate leaves little to the imagination. The staff are inviting and knowledgeable with lots of stories to really bring the place to life. The family aspect of the operation is heartwarming, the demonstration that this is about a quality product and an amazing experience beyond that of profits and awards is the real treat. The tasting experience is by far the most amazing in the world of tastings. The different expressions and the care taken to select the single barrels, the names show they are not just a barrel but a character in a vast story that continues on with new adventures awaiting your next visit. Take in a tour, embrace the history and enjoy the fruits of the labor of this amazing family that have returned this once prominent bourbon distillery from the grave. One of the top tours and experiences in Louisville and only a fool would skip the adventure awaiting at 10th and Main.

I enjoyed the Peerless distillery tour I recently took. The guide was friendly and knowledgeable, and it is impressive to see how an old urban building has been repurposed into a real, working distillery. Perhaps a bit too much time was spent on the tour recounting the family history of the proprietors. While mildly interesting, this history has very little to do with the present-day operations of the distillery. Also, the product is overpriced relative to other products of similar quality (e.g. Wilderness Trail, New Riff). Of course, the proprietors have every right to charge as much as they like, and there is logic in aggressively high pricing when one has (so far) rather little product to sell. Yet, high prices discourage sales, especially repeat sales that will drive future expansion of production. I am sure I will enjoy the 200ml bottle of rye that I purchased. Once it is empty, however, I will likely replace the bottle with something from another distillery in order to broaden my tasting experience.

Very Very interesting, especially why 50 is so important.Skip then took us the on the rest of the tour and it really was the best tour out of the 5 or 6 that we did that weekend. We all tried the moonshine at the end, but I have to be honest that I did not like it very much...which was surprising.
