What a great place to visit. Took my wife, daughter and In-laws. We drove down for the day ate dinner before we got there. Smooth access to get in the cave. People were patient and everyone drove slow enough so that you can take it all in. Theyre something for all ages.

It was my familys first time going. It was extremely busy but I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the wait wasnt bad at all. The lights were absolutely beautiful but what made the night was the joy and excitement it brought to my 5 year old nephew. Well worth the $35 because lets be honest creating sweet memories is priceless.

The lights and the music are fun and are nicely done. I was really impressed with how they line up all the cars and then start the line through the cave. The line consistently moves and youre never just stopped/stuck so that nice. It was run really efficiently. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because it is a really short experience, overall I think it only took us 20 minutes to drive through.

Lights Under Louisville was amazing! This year they added a few new lighted displays but also added several projected light displays and a few inflatables (tastefully done, not overkill on the inflatables). It was a short but delightful trip through Lights Under Louisville. I only wish they could make it a longer trip through!I did like the pre-ordering of our tickets. There were ads for a walking tour of Lights Under Louisville but I was unable to find where to get those tickets.

This place was pretty cool. We enjoyed about 1.5 hrs on the zip lines and also got a chance to see the Christmas light display. Brandon and Garrett were our tour guides for the zip lines. We visited Lights Under Louisville, a family tradition for the past four years. I must say they really stepped up and revamped a few things this year, which I was really happy about. Last year I was starting to get concerned because there were many displays with lights out or just recycled from the year before with little to no change. This year there are still repeats but I enjoyed the additions and seeing some of the old displays in a new way, I was also happy to see those lights fixed in the displays or those displayed replaced with different designs. All in all, I highly recommend it for everyone, if its your first or fifth year through the display, its a great family time. My boys always love it.

The zip lines were great but there were way too many people in the group. It took over 2 1/2 hours to do all of the lines and most of that time was spent on crowded platforms waiting for everyone else to go down the line. We could have halved our group of 13 and been done in half the time without having to be breathing down the neck of the person in front of you. The guides were very friendly and they did a great job. The tour was just not set up properly, especially with this virus around.

We had such a good time! I was honestly more nervous than I expected on the zipline ledges and they made us very comfortable. We had Jerry and Hayley and Claire along for training I think. Dont let their baby faces trick you, they know what theyre doing! And they do it all for you. Hayley even discreetly warned me about things that might make me nervous, and that was seriously so sweet. She made sure no one else noticed and walked me through it. Jerry and Hayley were both really entertaining and knowledgeable. And Claire was so engaging for someone in training! Great conversation all around. Definitely dont miss this place! They also have walking and tram tours in addition to the zipline. Great time all around.

I have gone every year since Lights Under Louisville first started. The lights are beautiful and they add to the displays every year. I took off the stars because if you have an issue, the customer support is not very helpful. We had a payment issue online and spent so much time going back and fourth with the people in customer service, we just dropped the issue and was without. This year we are going to check out the other professional displays that are available instead.

This is a working set of caverns with dump trucks going in and out to. They dont interfere with the tour. Or guide, Don, was awesome! Pretty cool history, the kids will learn a lot. Lots of ramps, really accessible, paced very well, tram was not jarring, microphones and speakers are used so you can hear clearly, there are points of pure darkness so some could be frightened but none of that lasts long, and if you feel claustrophobic, you could still do this tour. No one cavernous area was smaller than my 1400 square foot house.

I wish I could get my money back. This place should shut down. They have traffic backed up on the highway, we waited over two hours, moved less than 0.1 miles (had over a mile left) and saw two crashes related to this. They don’t process refunds either. we ultimately left because even though we got in line around 5, we left around 7:30, and couldn’t imagine getting in before midnight, probably later, called the number and they had no idea how long it would be, i said people we’re gonna stall in line running out of gas no doubt. This was a wonderful time period you pre-order your tickets online so that when you get there, you simply show them your ticket on your phone through your car window. They scan the ticket at that point. Even though it was supposed to be contactless, you had to roll your window down a little so they could give you some verbal instructions. I think it is well worth the time and money to go see the Christmas under Louisville display that they have.

Was in the area for a bachelorette trip and decided to visit the Mega Caverns. I had read plenty reviews before going and last minute decided on the tram tour instead of the walking tour. I booked about a week in advance, which was good as the day of they were sold out.The guide, Don was great. However, you really dont see very much on the tour as the cave is man made. It is more of less just advertisement for the other things they offer: storage to companies and zip lining. For 15 dollars a person it is not terrible. Just do not have high hopes of seeing anything amazing, it was however pretty educational.

We did a fat tire bike tour at the Mega Cavern today and felt it important to let potential customers know what they are really getting. The tour consisted of riding around in a couple of loops in the cavern with 2 or 3 stops to discuss some of the geological and historical features of the cavern. No bad except that the cavern is basically just an underground storage facility for boats, cars, and old Christmas lights. We looked at some cool bridges, but didnt go on them. We got to see a bunch of old mannequins haphazardly arranged throughout the cavern. The bikes were old and broken and the tour guide did little to make the tour more enjoyable. I wouldnt recommend this to anyone at the price they charge.

Ive participated in zipline activities prior but never imagined zipline underground! The guides were entertaining and attentive to safety. The course itself is pretty impressive... And being in a multipurpose cavern just messes with your head. Ha! The darkness is an added exhilarating element so even seasoned zipliners will get a rush. Be sure to discuss free photos before you go; I assumed they would just take pics since they promote it, but didnt seem to be the case. Sadly I ended up with no photos of this piece of my vacation.** What a cool attraction during pandemic. Theres awesome disinfectant procedures in place, groups are small and spread out. My sister and I were visiting Louisville for the first time. We decided to visit Mega Caverns and do the zip line. We were a little undecided about it as it was an expensive venture, but in the end decided it would be a worthwhile adventure.I have to say we were both a little disappointed. As I am quite the history buff I was excited to hear about the history, geology and unique facts about the caverns. Our tour guide never spoke on any of these. I asked about how “far down” part of the caverns were and our tour guide shrugged her shoulders and said “it’s far”. I was able to ask some questions that were answered but responses were short and didn’t seem welcome. This is what the website had said our admission was paying for!Safety was definitely a first priority for our guides which was appreciated, but customer service could use some work. I emailed the Director of Guest Relations and never received a response back, again I reiterate the need for better customer service. It seems this place is more concerned about making a profit than please its customers.

I was treated horribly at this place. The online booking system wasnt working. So, they penciled my friend and I in for the zip line tour and said that we could pay and sign the wavers when we got there. We were on vacation, so we didnt have a scale with us. They took my money and then weighed me. It turned out that I was 2lbs over the limit. So, I asked for a refund. The manager was refusing to refund me and offered a rain check. I asked to speak to his boss. He claimed that he was in a meeting. We waited at a picnic table for over an hour for this supposed meeting to be over. My friend asked another employee for this managers phone number. She went outside and called him. He was very shocked that she somehow got the phone number. It turned out that he wasnt in a meeting. He was at home. The other manager just decided that he was going to claim that they didnt give refunds and try to get me to settle for a rain check or just leave. My friend walked back in and told me that she got a hold of the higher up manager and talked to him and that he knew nothing of our situation. About 5 minutes later, the on sight manager came out looking ashamed and in a very quiet, much less arrogant voice told me that I had been fully refunded and handed me a receipt. He was a complete jerk to me beforehand. I told them that they should be weighing people before accepting money. I was already humiliated and feeling horribly about myself for being too heavy. Im normally a very upbeat and confident person. So, his tactic for dealing with that was to leave me crying at a picnic table for 2 hours and hope that I would just accept things and leave. I wasnt going to leave because they were denying me a refund of almost $200. It was horrible business and I was treated as though I was less than human by this man. His name was Adam.

Adults in our group did the MegaQuest. (basically a ropes course inside an old mine). The start was good, the kids working seemed to care and the harnesses and all seemed safe.We were having a good time but an hour or so in, one of our group went on the upper zip line. We had no instruction on how to do the zip line, other than a call from the person watching to only go that direction!. There is a fairly pointy wooden platform sticking out several feet. For an adult its at about thigh level. Its not clear at all how you are supposed to land - feet over the platform, land feet on the edge, or you can just bump into the thing. There are no written warning or instructions and no verbal instructions were given. My friend does the zip and at the last moment decides to try to lift his legs over and hits his shin on the hard wood. It goes faster than it looks. He gets a deep gash in his leg.Now accidents happen, take a look, youre up in the air doing all these obstacles with only hard wood and metal surrounding you.The problem was this:*hes dripping blood all over the place. The kids working had no idea what to do. One finally climbed up to help him with a first aid kit. They had no way to get him down, so he climbed himself down, having to do all the obstacles, trailing blood the whole way. They did not stop the course for 5-10 minutes and he watched several kids on the course climbing through the blood. I saw the staff wiping down one young girls legs that had blood all over it. Another had a big patch on their pants where theyd sat in some blood. The staff was running around, not sure what to do, all trying now to wipe the course down.My friend hobbles over and theyve tied a trash bag around his ankle - his shoe is filled with blood. This was the exchange:Kid working: uh, we got him pretty well bandaged up, uh, well, Im not trained in any of this sorta thing. My injured friends response dont worry, you didnt fool meThey never got my friends name, wrote an accident or injury report and no manager I saw ever came out to take charge, and one certainly did not check in on him. We carried him all the way out of the mine ourselves to the parking lot.Id hate to see if someone was injured badly up there. Id certainly not take kids there, the course is fun, but they really have no accident plans or apparent management. Real shame.*Im not going to get into the blood all over the place and covid....

We did the walking tour which by far provided the best experience. We were alongside the biking tour which we feel needs to be improved. We kept having to move out of their way, and their tour guide kept interrupting our tour. Also, the bike tour required them to stop every other minute which didn’t seem worth the money. Our walking tour guide, Billy Bob Joe, was amazing and witty and explained things really well. The other lady (didn’t know what her actual purpose was) kept walking behind us and hurrying us along and yelling at us every time we stepped 2 feet away to examine mushrooms and the walls of the cavern. This we did not appreciate as we are adults and know how to behave on a tour.

We are fairly new in town and had heard about Mega Cavern as a cool and unique place to tour. Yesterday we took our 2 grandsons there for their walking tour as our youngest was only 8 and too young for the bike tour (you need to be 12 for that). You can also take a caravan ride through the cavern as well. The tour was rather long and could probably have been condensed into an hour rather than 2; however, the guide was knowledgeable and helpful, and in this time of COVID, precautions were taken for safety with masks required. The drawbacks are that it was very muddy and slick in some places, there are no bathroom facilities along the way and the continuing tractor equipment running in the background made it difficult to hear what the guide was saying at times. Overall, the tour was interesting, but Im not sure it was worth the ticket prices. Still it is a unique attraction with potential for added growth for the community.
