Theres a lot here. Theres a community garden, a picnic shelter a rental hall, an abandoned boat dock, where Spirit of Jefferson was supposed to dock, but rarely did, and walking/bike path on top of the floodwall which connects it to other nearby historic buildings.Theres the restored main house, and the separate kitchen building. Theres a what I guess is a demonstration kitchen garden showcasing heritage plants close to the house. Theres a couple of spots where archaeological digs have been going on.And then theres the river view which is pretty nice. Its a nice place to walk around, enjoy nature, and maybe take tour of the house.
History is very important. Good or bad, If you dont know it, youre bound to repeat it. The grounds were amazing! Will definitely be back for a visit when I can stay longer.
Beautiful and peaceful. A great venue for weddings and things. Great view of the Ohio River. Part of the Louisville Loop.
Nice little place on the Ohio River. Great for a peaceful walk and full of local history.
Very pretty place. Great for taking pictures.
This was our first outing with our granddaughter. We told her we was visiting the princess of the river home. She had to wear her princess dress. Papaw had to show her the garden scarecrow and explain to her what it was and what it is in the garden.
Pretty neat little gem hidden away off of dixie highway. Love taking the kids out walking around it.
Love this place, its a lovely walk and great for photography sessions!
This place has so much history. In the evening the view over looking the ohio river is amazing.
Beautiful place in Louisville for a picnic, a day riding bikes with the kiddos or a nice walk with your date. Been coming here several times a year now the last 5-6 years. Great view of the Ohio River, never overcrowded (occasional summer wedding) bike path access and a gazebo to sneak in a little shade.
Great family fun.. Lots of family events, and a pokemon go players dream spot
Love this place. When the plows turn the fields start looking for arrow heads. You will find them in the area here. Good luck
Great place staff were so friendly. Had a childs birthday party there the room was very nice.
Nice trail head, plenty of parking. easy access to the loop. what more do you need.
Fantastic place to buy your plants for the garden. Had a great place just to relax and watch the barges go by.
I love going here. The caretaker is wonderful. He is always willing to help out if need be. The place is beautiful. He does a great job of taking care of the grounds and buildings. In the Spring and Summer months, local groups grow vegetable gardens. Its fun to see the different things they choose to plant. Everyone is very respectful of one anothers area. The flower gardens are beautiful when in bloom. The aesetetic lighting really sets them off. It is great to see such a well-kept property. The outside pavillion has a fireplace. Its great in the cooler months to just hang out around there. There are picnic tables or other arrangements available upon request. My son and his fiance are thinking about this venue for their reception. It would be beautiful. The Riverside, Farnsley Moreman Landing is a hot spot for Pokemon-ing. There are a few gyms and several Pokestops. You can spend hours just getting through all of the options. This is my favorite Pokemon location in this part of Louisville. The only negative comment I have is because of the lack of sufficient handicap parking in regards to the building locations. They need to rethink the parking situation and plan for exceptions if the need arises.
Very interesting history and gardens
I love this place! I have always loved it since I went on a field trip in high school, back in 2007. Its a cheap Museum to visit. Around $6 i believe for an adult. I went with my son on his school feild trip. The people are super super nice. And they explain everything that youre looking at. Plus you get a wonderful view of the river. Beautiful!
Its a great place to Pokemon lots of stops and a boatload of gym very peaceful and quiet
This is a great place to go walking and or bike riding. I love this place.
Fun and historical.
5 flower gardens, beautiful sunset and lots of room to walk your dog. Many activities, check the calendar.
The little church in the meadow was quiet and beautiful setting for a wedding.
I visit this park periodically throughout the year. Today I took my children there for the annual holiday celebration, which we attend every year. The Farnsley Moreman Landing is a hidden jewel of Louisville that more people should take advantage of.
Nice park, good for picnics, cool to see the wat people lived in days gone by
Great fall views
Beautiful place for walking around and sightseeing.
Wonderful Field Trip! Mrs. Lilly was a terrific guide. Very Informative!
A lovely chapel for wedding and riverside cabin great for party
Nice place to park if you are wanting to walk or bike the Louisville loop. Went to use the bathroom at the pavilion and was told it is normally locked and I should have gone inside the building. But every other time I have been there, the building was closed. Not sure what that was all about. Not much to see here unless you like watching barges in the river.
So peaceful here! We will visit again soon.
Nice walking path!
Very nice to take the kids too. We all had a great time learning about history and several fun a activites. Also offer buggy rides certain days.
It is a city owned park. The park grounds are from a farm that was started in the early 1800s. The farm house has been restored. The park borders the Ohio River. The landing was used in the 1800s for steamboats to unload cargo for Louisville. There are several gardens on the old farm. The park is free and is an interesting walking area. It is great for walking dogs or bicycling.
Great place to get a few miles in.
I love this place it is the best place to go play Pokemon Pokemon are everywhere community of Pokemon cards are always willing to ride with you in the park attendance are very nice
Grate walking environment
We love coming to visit here. The grounds are amazing and the house is beautiful.
Great place to get out of the house
Great little place, great history. Community garden space
Its a great place to draw and be with your wife, Im born again
This home is a great place to take a tour of. Trisha was our tour guide and did a wonderful job telling us about the Farnsley home. I highly recommend this place if you are interested in learning about historic houses with your family!
Lovely hidden little river side spot. There are many concrete walk ways for people to walk, jog, run, including with the dog! It was quite with not too many people around. Several families and people with dogs around. Plenty of free parking.
Beautiful property. You can have a picnic right on the river, at their covered outdoor area; with a fireplace that you can actually use, or anywhere else on the property. The chapel can be seen by appointment or on special events when it is open to the public.
Very nice historical place with lots of fun and free activities during the summer. Family farm day and the ice cream social are 2 of many activities to do
Awesome place!
Cute place, fairly handicap accessible. Good events.
I got married in this park, I love this place
Great for history seekers. Child friendly.
Youve got to see this place! Beautiful house and grounds!
My garden spot 10 years now.
Very nice place
Beautiful place & scenery
Gorgeous. Great place to walk the dogs
Beautiful river view!
My brother in law would have LOVED it there. It would have reminded him of the view from his old house. Nothing like having the Ohio River as your Backyard.
Great place for family walk, take in the beautiful Historic buildings and easy walk down to the Ohio river
Enjoyable tour of local history. Have been a few times on kids field trips.
Very nice.
Wonderful facility and beautiful natural setting with river view and Community Gardens! Friendly helpful staff!
Photoshoot on mothers day.
Very interesting and informative. Beautiful
Farnsley-Moreman landing is a great place to go with kids. It is a place we probably never would have discovered if it werent for the Mayors cultural pass, and now we have been back just about every year. We all love to tour the house and learn what life was like for the owners and THEIR children. Several times we have been there when the archaeologists were digging and they encourage the kids to dig for artifacts as well. This was a favorite activity for my kids! I enjoy strolling through their gardens and eating lunch at the picnic tables. The view of the river is truly inspiring. I know they have other events here throughout the year and I believe you can have your wedding and/or reception here too. I saw inside the gift shop/visitors area that they have workshops for people wanting to learn gardening. Check their website for details!
Beautiful and Informative. Really enjoyed our walk around the grounds.
No one on staff was available. The sign on the door demands I wear a mask. But no one was inside. I missed my chance I guess.
Didnt hate it, was very nice to be at. Why would you ask why I hated it?
Such a nice, relaxing place! Love the walking paths ♡
I grew up right up the road. Would walk here frequently and spend very many days and evenings just watching the river. I also plan to marry here one day. I love this place. I hope my children one day can appreciate it too.
Such a well kept treasure in Louisville that most people dont know about. I suggest a visit there.
Nice place for a stroll.
Happy Easter Great just Beautiful thanks
This place is beautiful and has helped me restore all of my peace and serenity. If you have never been highly recommend everyone to try it out and see why we love it so very much for yourself.
Its a cool place to visit
I love going here. It is a part of the Louisville Loop. It is beautiful, peaceful, tranquil. I go here to breath. Sometimes I walk to the chapel down the path.
Lots of history and wonderful tour through the house.
I Love Farmsley Morman just look on there website they always have great events going its Fun
Had a great time! Learned lots!
A must see on the south side of Jefferson County. Beautiful grounds with a great Vista of the river. Wonderfully restored anti bellum house transporting you to bygone days.
Family went there to take prom pictures. Very nice backdrops and scenery for pictures. No charge and family friendly.
Very cool place to visit in Louisville.
Love it here
This is a hidden gem of south Louisville. If youve never been, it is a must see!
Its a nice quaint place on the Ohio River to visit, but nothing there gave me a reason to hangout there for more than 20 minutes or so. Im 58 years old.
Beautiful by the river!
When cycling the Louisville loop this is one of my rest points. The flower garden is a good look.
Wonderful place to get married. nice chapel and convenient reception room.
A beautiful place steeped in rich history. The staff and volunteers are lovely. The archaeologists working the site are always happy to talk to you and share their discoveries.
Only reason I went was most sights in Louisville were closed. Not really worth the drive out of town. Home was brought back nicely after past floods.
Tour was very informative
Nice place to host a medium-sized event with clean restrooms & covered shelter for shade.
Beautiful area a good place to take the family
Love this place! It is a beautiful and peaceful. Staff is great and welcoming. Best place to have family photos taken.
