Very friendly staff and organized museum. Only two floors dedicated to the history of Muhammad Ali. I wished it was more. Get the gloves when coming in. Its a lot of buttons to touch to activate the simulations. Take advantage of the opportunity to go now during social distancing. Not a lot of people, so take your time and enjoy it.

I arrived at the Muhammad Ali Center around 3:30pm. The person that sold me my ticket said that it started on the fifth floor with a film and I will work my way down. They closed at 5pm, but she said an hour & a half is what most people take to visit the center... If you enjoy history, especially history regarding the details of a persons life that shaped them and determined their path, 1.5 hours is not enough. The employees didnt rush me out, but Im sure they wanted to go home, though I still didnt leave until about 5:15pm and there were still a few other tourists in there when I left. The center is wonderful. There is so much to take in. I wish I had 2.5 to 3 hours to see everything. Im not a huge sports fan, but I am a fan of history and the impact that Muhammad Ali has made on this world with his kindness, generosity, and strong resolution is undeniable. Unfortunately, there were many racial obstacles he had to overcome and they are discussed in length and great detail. It is a good reminder of where we have been, how far we have come, and how far we still need to go.The Muhammad Ali Center is so much more than I thought it would be. I highly recommend you check it out when you are in town.

Cool museum to a sports legend, Olympic light-heavyweight and 3-time professional heavyweight boxing champion. Many personal items, awards, and cool displays from the life of the greatest. Not far down the street from the Louisville Slugger Museum. Another must see is his boyhood home here in Louisville.

It was very informative but they dont talk about his family. I felt like it was a bit overpriced but its cheaper if you go during the week. We can say we went but i dont think i will be back. This would be a nice field trip for a school. Very appropriate for Black History month. I did like that they had the actual fights for you to watch.

I actually forgot to post my review last year, so I’m pleased to tell you my thoughts today. My visit to the center was extremely knowledgeable. What Muhammad Ali did for the human race is well worth telling, and the center tells the story well. I suggest that your whole family visit the center just to have a one on one feeling to be close to the Greatest fighter our generation ever witnessed. The center is well worth the visit, and if you have time, visit his grave site as well. He is and will always be my hero!

Im not into boxing, but this trip was on a historical expedition I attended and I was very surprised. I went in ready to leave, but I was captivated by Alis life story. I told my husband that I want to return and spend some more time there. Alis story is fascinating, and I learned a great deal in the short amount of time our expedition let us stay there. We were on a schedule and couldnt devote enough time to the museum. It is definitely worth the cost of the entrance fee!

It was wonderful to be able to see the life of such a great athlete and boxer and see the motivation of his madness in the ring and his triumph over his disease and make it to the Olympics it really puts a new perspective of how we think about him and his life. I visited with my lacrosse team and this museum all gave us personal motivation and gave us a new perspective of hard work that on that night we won our game. This is a very nice place to visit if visiting Louisville, Kentucky.

Visiting this museum was a very moving experience. You will start on the fifth floor with an introductory video of Muhammad Alis life. I thought I knew a lot about him, but I learned a few things in the video. The rest of the exhibits are organized by themes. The museum does a great job of making Ali seem like a real person, and not just an idol. I especially enjoyed watching the original boxing matches on old school tvs. I cant wait to return!

Beautiful museum! Well-curated. Filled with interesting, thought-provoking photos, letters and videos about The G.O.A.T. Something for any visitor to Louisville to see. Give yourself time to enjoy. This is not a 30-minute, quick visit unless youre really short on time. I spent 2 hours there and wished I had 1 more hour. If you like boxing videos or are interested in seeing the impact Ali wanted to have on the world in the name of peace, you can spend several hours there.

Disappointing because the site says you are open (july 1st but today the 25th) but you were not. Why do you take money and not announce the closure? This should be ecplained or notification on the phone announcement should say this! This doesnt seem like something that the champ would approve.

If you like art and museums this is a place to visit! Most importantly if you are a Muhammad Ali fan! The center is very clean and centrally located in downtown Louisville, KY. I had such a beautiful and learning experience! The center has a plethora of information not only of Ali but also about his passion of sharing kindness. His conviction of standing up for what you believe in. I also learned about refugees and their experience with struggle and resettling! Which was one of Muhammad Ali’s greatest mission. The mission to help the people in need. When I looked at the photographs of women and children then read the story behind it, I felt their struggles and tried to hold in my tears but I couldn’t. I was so moved by the photographs that I realized how good I have it at home! Many people with the same passion have donated to this center and to also help with the awareness of refugees and resettling. I’m going to do my part and donate! Thank you for an amazing experience! I spent 2/3 hours reading and learning which was unexpected for me. I’d come back again!!!

Theres a lot to like about this museum. The footage of his matches, including the seats that made you feel like you were watching it from your own living room was a nice touch. I also enjoyed the boxing rink, with pointers from his daughter. All the interviews, hearing him speak so passionately is a reminder of why we love him so much. He was more fearless out of the ring. The only reason its not 5 stars is because the coordination during construction could be better.

I am not a boxing enthusiast but I truly enjoyed this immersive experience. I came in with some knowledge about Muhammad Ali. However, there was SO much more to this mans legacy. And it is all covered here. The center is well accommodating as there is seating at almost every exhibit, wide aisles, not harsh lighting, etc. The interactive experiences are abundant. My children (7, 10, 15) had a great time learning and exploring the center. I highly recommend this trip for anyone!

A great place for my family to learn and understand not only the boxer Ali but the legendary quotes and thoughts of Ali. The beginning of the tour starts with a short film which sets the tone for the museum. It also takes you back in time to get some experiences from the civil rights era. You walk around at your leisure reading quotes while watching others describe the impact he has made on their lives. They are doing some remodeling so some floors you cant get to but there was enough on the three floors that had plenty of memorabilia and even interactive events. Young and old will enjoy this museum. If not for construction I would give it 5 stars.
