Visited for a Sunday morning Mass in ordinary time. The cathedral has some nice exhibits on the sides and a mausoleum underneath. The interior of the church sanctuary is very bland. The Tabernacle is off in a side chapel. Very plain inside with weird architecture. Great focus on being friendly, which was nice, but we were hoping for a stronger emphasis on the sacred as well. Very casual atmosphere. Choir sounded lovely. Parking garage was convenient.

Its not enough to just have believe and have faith, one must trust God. With free will we are given the ability to choose our path, the easy way or the hard way, the long path or the short path. Regardless of the choice, God loves us the same. He loves us in spite of us.With free will comes responsibility. As long as we are free to make choices and decisions, we cant blame God for when things dont go our way.Live in gratitude for the blessings of God and you will be blessed with reasons to be grateful. Blessings.

Simply breathtaking!!! I stumbled across here by chance and made it time to walk around. It’s amazing, I would recommend anyone travelling to LA to pay here a visit whether or not you consider yourself religious and or spiritual. My only wish was I had the opportunity to attend a service or event their.

I always try to visit cathedrals when I travel, and this one was no exception. I have to be honest and admit I was very disappointed. A modern architecture church just does not feel like a church. This concrete abomination has no warmth or character. Take down the religious imagery and statues and a modern church such as this could be a lunch room, museum or Sams club. I hate to be a downer, but the archdiocese deserves something more classic and timeless than this. Ive never negatively reviewed a church before this, but theres a first time for everything.

An incredible cathedral that captures the Gothic effect of the tremendous and fascinating mystery of God while also appropriating beautiful, delicate touches to draw one to the sacred. The use of light, construction media, and line in the space leave one feeling both focused, while also comforted and warmed by the tapestries and sacred art. Would delight to experience elaborate liturgy here. Stunningly beautiful and holy!

The architecture of the church is very nice but plain. I went on a weekday when there were no mass services so it was pretty empty. You are able to walk almost anywhere in the church, including the lower level moslem. The inside is huge and gives you this feeling of being to small. Does not have the feeling of community that I prefer but it does have seating for everyone.parking in the structure is $24! A outdoor prayer candle is $10!

As usual, it only happened once a year around this time on November. The Vietnamese of communities from Los Angeles areas gathered at this Magnificent Cathedral our Lady of Angels in LA to celebrate The feast of Vietnamese Martyrs. Most of the Vietnamese from Los Angeles all came to celebrate this big event. The Choirs were from 13 different Vietnamese churches in LA Diocese . The music were beautiful with close to 200 members. You could see the Vietnamese Traditions on display from clothes to the music. This church was so big you could see it from the 101 freeway and it’s located at the corner of Broadway and Temple . This church was built with the great designs, and it took years to complete. There was a plenty of parkings inside the structure. You could walk around the church to see its beauty. From the front of the church you also could enter from the front on the left side or the right. You could also go down to under the church to see the tombs of people whom were buried there. And there were small Chapels that you could do a prayer. On the side of this church, you could see the 101 freeway from below and hollywood or china town areas. There are so much things you can do from this Cathedral such as Little Tokyo, LA Music Center and Downtown LA just few blocks away. It is a beautiful place to visit or go to mass at this church whenever you either come to visit or come for prayers you must stop by.

Remember, that wherever you are God is!When the enemy comes to attack you, you must stand strong through prayer and supplication. Trusting and believing in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. He has the final say! Turn to God for His help. He will hear you and answer you. His Love, Mercy and Grace will protect you.Jesus Christ is our refuge in times of trouble. Pray, my Christian brothers and sisters, do not lose hope, no matter what youre going through.. Pray!!! God is there for you. Blessings to you all.

Welcoming community at Mass. It’s great that they have Masses daily. Would be nice if there was a self guided tour to follow. Very modern architecture. Gift shop is nice with some beautiful items, but a little pricey. If you sign up for their mailing list, they will email you a discount for your birthday month. But, they won’t give you the discount if you are buying something, it is your birthday month, and you are just signing up. This happened to me on Tuesday.

I saw pictures of this cathedral and it didn’t not seem impressive or visually appealing but visiting in person changed my perspective. This cathedral is absolutely massive. The layout is very untraditional with very modern lines and almost and industrial feeling yet very peaceful. The little chapels contain a variety of treasures and artwork. I think my favorite aspect of this cathedral are the murals lining he nave with the plethora of saints facing the alter. This is a place you definitely want to experience for yourself.

A modern church in the heart of Downtown LA, big church and spacious. It took us quite a walk to find the entrance, it would be good if there is more signage on the direction. Theres daily mass service around noon, you can see people are rushing to join the mass. When you get inside, you will immediately humble by the big beautiful paintings and the peaceful serene atmosphere. It would be good if there is guided tour for the visitors, so that we can learn more about the place.

The cathedral is magnificent and underneath is just as wonderful. Marble crypts, stained glass arts, and chapels. All these is worth a visit.Attending a mass is an added benefit. A good way to see Catholic traditions and feel the welcome of a community. On Sundays, there are only two morning English masses and a Spanish noon mass. If youre an early riser, stop for a mass after touring the facility.
