So there is not much to do other than stop and take photos from the street, it is a privately owned building. But, if you are a diehard Charmed fan, like myself then, it is totally worth it. So beautiful in person. Also two houses over is the house used in the Thriller music video(pic included).I myself was very saddened by the appearance of the Thriller home, it has definitely fallen by the wayside and is in desperate need of some TLC.The rest of the block is filled with more fantastic Victorian homes, perfect for pictures and beautiful to look at.
I think its so funny this park has a sign that says adults cannot enter without kids yet there were only adults here. The slides are truly a ton of fun! In my jeans I had better traction than sitting on a piece of cardboard. Its a short walk from Dolores Park, so if youre in the neighborhood stop by.
Went Trick or Treating this Area for Halloween . The Houses are so Amazing, they look like life size Doll Houses
It was amazing I cant explain how I felt other then truly happy atm
I got to see this beautiful house last week it was truly magical seeing it in real life. I grew up watching charmed and I always wanted to see it up close and as a reminder to those going out to see it please be respectful of the people who live here ! (They are so lucky lol ok I’ll stop fan girling)
Completely freaked out that I got to see the house I grew up with. Loved that theyve kept it looking exactly the same
Please note this is private property so do not go up to the house directly. However, no one seemed to mind me taking pictures from either side of the street. The house looks almost identical to how it did in the past.Check out the other incredible houses along Carroll Street, including the Thriller house which is 2 houses away.
It took my 3rd trip to LA for me to finally make it to the “Charmed Manor” but I’d been wanting to go since the 1st! One of my favourite back in the day TV shows, I had always thought it was filmed in San Francisco so was shocked to find out the actual Manor was based in LA. It’s not easy to get to/from using public transport, but we managed it. Took absolutely ages to get a bus out of the very quiet neighbourhood though. Like a lot of LA, it’s better by car.
Amazing and I cant believe I got to see it, its in LA not San Francisco forever charmed
Visited this place for the first time and it was an amazing experience! We got there early in the morning and the street was empty so got to take tons of fun pictures. I brought my Book of Shadows replica and it made it even more special! If youre in LA and are a big fan of Charmed, make sure you drop by to visit this place! It was very nostalgic visiting the Halliwel manor!
Beautiful old traditional street. The house itself is well known for the tv show “Charmed” but you can also find on the very same street the house from Michael Jackson “Thriller”, and a house they used for the show Mad Man. It’s so beautiful just to walk around, whenever it is day or night. Enough parking space and very close to Echo Park as well. There’s a very interesting story behind this unique street. It appeared that some of the houses were moved to that hill and the beginning of the 20th century, and the rest were built there. The only street in Los Angeles that will make you feel like you in San Francisco. By the way - if you want to get inside, they do special tours in this house and in another one - google it.
Best place to go for a walk and a trip down memory lane
It was great to finally see the house that was used as the home of series Charmed. Beautiful Victorian Mansions are located in this area.
Many delightful historic Victorian homes in a charming neighborhood. Meander leisurely as you view homes with gentle landscaping, period leaded glass windows, fish scale and gingerbread trims, and very often in unexpected color combinations. The undulations of the hillside streets and sidewalks all provide a good workout, too!
Beautiful place for all the Charmed Fans. Please respect this private house when you take pictures. Don’t forget to stroll around the other beautiful houses.
Visiting the Charmed house was a little dream come true for the 12 year old version of me!Theres not much to do here other than park outside as this is now privately occupied. However the house looks exactly how you would imagine it would and there are not many people outside visiting this so its a very calm and quiet place to visit. It becomes very apparent that you are in a private area so its important to be respectful in terms of taking photos and how much time you spend here. We got a few photos in around 5 minutes and then moved on with our trip but definitely glad we had the opportunity to come and take a look!
Pretty nice house, my wife and I are fans of Charmed, we were happy to finally meet the Halliwell Manor
Was so cool to see the manor used for the show Charmed!!!
The house looks exactly as in the Charmed series. Great place to visit if you loved the show.
The Charmed house as fresh as usual. My Charmed memory....
Literally happened upon this house by chance. Great coincidence! The entire block is full of similar Victorian-style houses that are worth a short walk up and down to admire. Fun little corner of Los Angeles!
It’s really cool! But I thought it’s bigger
My mom loved stopping by here..I didnt realize how close it is to Downtown LA.
Great place to look at all the beautiful Victorian homes.
Loved learning the history of these homes! My 6 year old enjoyed the tours, too!
It was great to be able to visit such an iconic house. It was easy to get to off the highway. The neighborhood has several houses in a state of disrepair, but it did not feel unsafe. There were several visitors there the day we went. I feel bad for the residents as it must be hard for so many people to be consistently outside your house. We were respectful and stayed on the sidewalk and street but we saw others go up the steps for a picture. If you go, please be respectful of the owners/occupants and definitely dont trespass.
Charmed fans will really enjoy this. Its free to the public. You can take pictures.
Its nice although you can only drive by because there are people currently living there
Fan girl in me jumped out as soon as I turned the street. The block is full of beautiful Victorian homes, and I was able to park out front. Also, I was lucky enough to meet the neighbor who was friendly enough to tell me more about the house & memories on filming days outside. He was also very nice to take a photo of me in front of the house since I was alone. Apparently there is a tour once a month & you actually get to see the inside & the only thing recognizable is the stairway. Overall happy to visit! P.S. Thriller house is 2 doors down also get a picture there too!
Its just not this house! The whole neighborhood is really worth to stop by!
Watched the 1st episode when I was in the hospital 17 years ago and I was hooked! Don’t know who lives in the house but it should be a museum!
Wow!! It was so cool to see this place. But i cant believe someone lives there.
It was so cool to visit the place where one of my favorite shows from when I was a teenager was filmed
Gorgeous house beautiful neighborhood.
Nice place and very interesting neighborhood. A lot of victorian style houses.
Heretic House is great!! I attended a concert here featuring Dan Barker from FFRF and the Voices of Reason choir. Fantastic. Friendly. Great camaraderie for atheists, skeptics, humanists, & freethinkers. Plus the neighborhood is a pleasure to walk through. Gorgeous restored 19th century homes.
So freaking awesome. Ugh such a site to see.
Not just this one house but all the bueatiful Victorian style homes that reside on this street each one having its own unique story. Two doors down sits a spooky looking house chosen to be scary setting for Michael Jacksons video thriller,to this day the current owners take great care to keep up the multi-level Victorian creepy cosmetic tone
Beautiful homes. So nicely taken care of really such a great site to see.
A must see if you loved the show! The neighbors around the house are super nice and understand why everyone comes to visit!
Cool to see it
Cool to see not worth it unless you love that show
This beautiful house is located in LA and not in San Francisco as it is said in the movie.
Sight seeing for the thriller house and the charm house. And more movies were made on that street. Houses are like doll house. Very cute
Historic neighborhood of Victorians in LA was magnificent!
Must do for fans and overall lovely neighborhood.
Charmed forever New Mary medunic
Very nice house. It is a lot more red in person than some of the photos here.
Incredible... after all these years watching this show its exactly the same! Time for a selfie definitely
Interesting block of Victorian houses that has the Halliwells home, Grandmas Boy house, and the Thriller house.
Cool neighborhood to drive through with Victorian themed homes!
So cool seeing this house. The caretaker was very nice!
Great stop, glad we got to go. There is a tour the first saturday of the month if you look it up but we didnt have time. Easy to find. We stopped long enough for a few pictures but didnt want to stop up the road.
Beautiful Home!!!
THE POWER OF THREE WILL SET US FREE!!!Magical TV show, it made all my youth.Prue, Piper & Poebe reborn after more than 15 years When we arrived in front we didnt find a lot of tourist. The place is quite and you can take nice photos in front although its forbidden to get on the stairs. There are many parking places in the street so you can easily find a place.
Good bit of fun if youre visiting with a car. Some of the surrounding houses are great too.
Free street parking. Easy to find with the GPS and no one said anything when I was taking pictures of the houses. Other people were also taking pictures of and with houses. Looked just like it did on the show Charmer :)
Piper Phoebe Paige and Prue Leo Luke and Duncan coming to charmed Halliwell manor House
Pretty boring place, if you wanna see Victorian houses go to San Francisco
Beautiful home tucked away in Angelino Heights historic zone. You can not go in but you can find street parking and take a picture in front. Take a drive around the neighborhood there are some beautiful Victorian homes.
I loved to see it, I cried when I saw it. I LOVED CHARMED THE SERIES
Childhood fantasy accomplished. Loved the series. Had good impact on me
Just as expected and just as I remember. Also, its on a street full of beautiful houses.
I wonder if Phoebe knew she was practically neighbors with Dominic Torreto?
My daughter and I love this show so of course we had to see the house. It was so neat and we recognized so much about it from the show, even the house across the street.
Great spot for halloween
Tabatha G, Kaylynne H, Bri L become a charmed ones
I love Charmed and was glad I made it there to see the house. A few of the other houses on the block were also used in episodes. One of the neighbors took the time to talk to me.
One of the most amazing experiences of my life! I absolutely love Charmed and would love to go and visit the house again.
Awesome I love Carroll Avenue! Just wish we could see the inside of the house or two
Loved the series. Was an amazing experience to come and look at the house
Downtown Los Angeles has a hidden oasis of Charmed Houses in the beautiful area called Angelino Heights! This historical area sits atop a hill located N/W of the tallest buildings in L.A. and has fantastic view of the DTLA skyline!Known for it’s plethora of original Victorian homes, the streets are lined with restored and some very unrestored glorious homes. The neighborhood has a very friendly vibe as nearly every passerby greeted my friend and me with a smile or a kind verbal acknowledgement (which is rarely found in my native City of LA-LA-Land).The area of Angelino Heights is sandwiched between Echo Park and DTLA — just minutes away from both popular areas.*RECOMMENDATION: Take a walk around the area about one hour before sundown and you’ll catch the most spectacular views of dusk as the sun reflects off nearly everything in sight!!
Quiet neighbourhood, easy to park and take photos of the house. One landscape guy was helpfull
I took my lady here as a surprise. Shes always been a huge Charmed fan, so she absolutely loved it.
Its great to be able to see the house you were watching at home TV
Everything is reminissed of the show. Even the door and curtains look the same. Many of the houses in the neighborhood were also recognized from the show.
Lovely Victorian houses nearby.
Love it so much. So much memories watching Charmed when I was a Child
Its always a pleasure work in this house Im a gutter Guy n the owner is kind
Holy cow I did not know this was a historical monument, but I was in la visiting from Michigan and would have felt like a jerk if I didnt stop there, not to mention neighbor Dan lived next to the thriller house
Nice Historic Place
Truth be told, I didnt actually realize that I was here until you folks pointed it out to me, lol...
Please don’t disturb the locals in the area. They are all very friendly!!
Love coming here to take pics. Even though I cant go on property its a nice place to visit.
Beautiful house but when I visited today the authentic experience of seeing it was ruined by giant advertisement the owners placed on the main window. I hope they take it down after reading my review. I left disappointed.
Loved I just wished some one trun it into a Museum
Always busy during Halloween!
