It is so hard to find a parking . The paid parking spot is between $2-11 dollars in variety. And I love downtown area, but please have a parking spot for the gig worker.
Los Angeles art walk is a combination of San Pedro, long beach, and Pomonas art walks, its an infusion of cultures and styles. A must see for any an all art lovers. The LA art walk is open every 2nd Thursday of every month rain, shine, or 9.0 earthquakeLike Los Angeles, the art represents a range of tastes, but much of it takes on the energy of the city and the emotions of life Downtown. Urban counterculture expresses itself through graffiti-esque styles, while artists tap into emotions ranging from inspiring to sexual to playful.A list of my favorite Gallerys etc which are a must visit:1. The Hive Gallery & studios 729 S. Spring st2. Inner-city art gallery3. Think Tank Gallery4. Night Gallery5. The Banksys wall art S. Broadway parking lot (at W 9th)6. The last Book store on 5th7. Truckit fest food truck.8. 2nd street cigar lounge & gallery9. Los Angeles center for digital art 102 W. Fifth stThe crowd obviously responds to the spectrum galleries offer, but its the other aspects of the art walk that seem to give life to the event (the art walk acts as a catalyst, and out of it comes art that doesnt hang on walls). Fashion shows, spoken word, live street music and random outbreaks of freestyle lyricism are byproducts of the galleries, giving testimony to the organic quality of the community here. The variety is something that appeals to different groups, from hipsters to sophisticates to traveling businessmen. Much akin to L.A.s personality, it all seems to come together, and the variety only makes the scene stronger and more hip.
This shop is raising the standards of Piedmont. I hope more shops will take their lead and take the time and care to provide a retail experience of this level.
Didnt really see much because of covid.
Im not sure if I was not on the right street, but the art walk seem alot smaller than what Ive experienced in the past. The quality of art did not disappoint me at all... I was still able to come across motivated, passionate artist and crafters.
Gobs of food, music, fun and arts exhibits wound throughout DTLA Spring street, Historic corridor. Plenty of individual artists tables, open gallery spaces and items to buy. Great time for just browsing or sipping coffee, wine or craft beers at any of the many local hubs. Its a monthly must do!
It was so beautiful and peaceful. There was no chaos.
I saw a Pedro selling his green like Jade pendants and it was beautiful he also has Jade bracelets and necklaces I also bought an iring made of copper and Moonstone from Ishmael he gave me a half price deal before 30 to $40 all I had made artwork was worth it Im bringing my uncles African beads and Crosses next month but art walk to be every week it was such a fantastic affair and the food and the vegan stuff that you can get 4 Mega bigger whats the best I met the owner and I also met the sweetest young manager who did to pour over and someone in the wheelchair who just needed a coffee and my favorite article art station is cool by the way the security at the vegan restaurant across from the Starbuck Nicodemus is a very nice and handsome young man who think women in LA are stuck up and doesnt want to talk because they act like theyre Gods gift to men but Id say its 50-50 in Downtown LA specially during the walk art walked all in all is a good time to be had an expensive art that you can just view for free or buying take home with I will see you there next month every second Thursday
2nd Thursday of every month . Really enjoy the art share . Please support the vendors
The arts are all cool and they are made perfect! I love to see new art next time
Awesome! The only critique is that you have to pay to get into the food truck area... why? Your paying for food? Parking is impossible. Just take metro! The crafts are awesome. I always end up leaving with something... hand made soap, interesting magnets, sunglasses a hat. Great place to meet with friends and enjoy the night walking around and seeing different studios.
Great choice for a date night or anyone looking to explore DTLA. Make sure to plan out your journey and or have a map handy as it can be difficult to wander through the streets without it. I highly recommend checking out the art for sale on the street as well as the food trucks / stands. Great experience for someone visiting the city and locals alike.
This year the show had some impressive work but not as outstanding in the years before. But of course the art world fluctuates Theyll n quality constantly so no one is to blame. They do need to place some more convenient places to eat (and affordable) and place clear signs letting you know where the restrooms are. One shouldnt have to wander around looking for food and the facilities.
New security is great Artist have poured thier souls into the Area go see the Container Yard a must See
A fine event to sell your handmade or vintage wares at.
Fabulous walk around our chair is so amazing and so beautiful and so refreshing I love the opportunity I meet so many nice people they want to take me to eat they want to talk about being a part of the organization and I love it youre so many opportunities down here and people are just so nice I just wish they could clean it up a little bit but I pray for the best to come I believe they will but its such a beautiful opportunity to see such a chart in people so happy on Art Walk
Lots of fun! Eric has great knowledge of the area and the history of LA. Great bad jokes!
Dont forget to take pictures here.
I encourage every artist (fashion, photography, painters, etc) of any sort to visit. The vibe is extraordinary. Food trucks came out and were amazing. BE SURE TO SUPPORT THE ARTIST & JUST COMMUNICATE. They want to hear your feedback, and if you like their master pieces feel free to purchase.
Nice place to visit., take a walk and pics...
Very colorful, and many vibrant people gather here.
First Thursday of every month. Beautiful art. Great for walking in downtown. LA
The Art Walk is something you can not miss if you are in the LA area. Stunning!
Nice place for artists and everyone who love art.
As always never a dull moment always delightful entertainment!
Pleasure walking tents rows as friendly Services or owners are skilled crafts. Jewelries, items. Good fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, veggies.
Great place to see beautiful art and meet wonderfully crafty people. They have a whole section of food trucks with a variety of foods youll find something you like, if not try something new! Definitely recommend going if you have not been to this art walk, at least to experience it and know if you like it.
Great chicken items.Because I dont eat any form of beef period.
Art Walk DTLA is always a great cultural and social event that happens monthly in Downtown Los Angeles. Vendors and art collectives come together along with throngs of gatherers for the viewing and purchase of latest-day art renderings and originals from local artists.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. A bit chilly, but well worth the walk. Not to many art displays due to rain.
Guaranteed fun; I have new experience every time I walk it. For newbies; do not miss the Hive Gallery and the galleries over the Last Bookstore. Cliftons and the Little Easy are great places to begin and end the night, but try to walk up and down Main and Spring if you can; a lot of great galleries, bars and restaurants. If walking alone only go down streets where you see a lot of people; it can get sketchy as hell.
I had a great time here place has this good energy feel to it a lot of good vibes and music playing in the background fit the mood and kept everyone chill.
Havent been to one in years... but when I lived downtown, it was always a fun & interesting event to attend.
Love art walk! They always have some dope artist ...I wish they always had food trucks last one I went to I couldnt find food anywhere outside of the army of overpriced hotdogs vendors
Trendy crowd. Top notch artists and craftspersons plus lotsa good eats. This is what makes LA great and sets the precedent for other great cities to strive to be. Cheers mates!
Cool area to take a stroll and see the art nd stuff
We went to the Last Book Store. Its quaint and neat decor. Very original place. But it was hot and crowded and the prices are high. You hv to leave your bag at check in which is a bit of a deal breaker. The neighborhood smells like urine.
Its been cleaned up a lot, not safe at night!Beautiful historical place, but in a very bad area.
Really cool for artists and people looking for art to buy or look at.
Best time I have ever had! Seen such great art and food trucks were awesome!
Great architecture plus superb landscape design!
Beautiful place at night for strolls and local downtown eye candy.
DTLA is such a vibrant and eclectic place. You will find great food, amazing gallerys, specialty markets, unique clothing stores, unbelievable bargains and tasty coffee shops. Theres Something to see a/o do for everyone
Art walk is great at Downtown LA.If u have time came and check it out in the second Thursdays of the month, they have many extra things to sell.Everythday u will see toys..clothing .hairsalon.cigarett store.tatto stations.and the comedy bar.all on 3rd and many others store in DTLA came and visit
Its pretty good for downtown. Theres not much art as its mostly people selling knick-knacks but I cant complain. Good stuff, just bring cash and good luck with parking.
Every 3rd thursday this even is so Fun and best part is its free. Lots of unique artist and vendors. The food trucks are pretty good as well.
Nice to go artwalk gallery day.
Good practice for cardio exercise & keeping in shape
I loved it everyone should go
Because it is upcoming Artist brave enough to show their work, talent, creative insight into their worlds.. Imagine it, paint;draw; mold it. Make it yours to share with all that can appreciate the love through the hands from the heart which Is Art.
A nice event to go and walk with the wife and enjoy the views of downtown
Its DTLA a bit gritty still so the danger adds to the cool, +i got free monster energy drink awsome
Really great prices on hard to find items
Super fun lost of weird people everywhere
Its a good idea for raising money in order to enrich L.A.s artistic venue.....dont care for the area.
NICE I LIKE IT
The various vendors spread of affordable merchandise. The dependability of the Food Truck’s consistency of their products. The weather has been very kind this time of year.
Its wonderful to see all the varied artwork by artists around DTLA. The party gets started only later in the evenings. Then its parades, music at every corner and hoppin food-trucks. Free snacks and drinks at some in-door venues. Promoters hand out free items all the time. Very safe but Id stick to the well-lit areas, else youd wander into skid row by mistake!Parkings terrible and so is the cleanliness. Occasionally, a drunk would harass passerbys. The artwork doesnt rotate often so once youve been to a few, youve seen them all.
Swanky little get together and very cool place to get new pieces of art/clothing
Lots and lots of homeless, dont really like walking through here. I could be confused and the homeless are the art Walk
For my first visit to tis event... Totally gr8 event. Plenty n-attendance. Many varies vendors to shop with. Bring plenty money! Food. Treasures. Gifts.
You must visit if youre visiting L.A.
Pleasant night out for a couple, plenty to do and see.
Excellent place for artists to expand their horizons!
Always top notch. A must see while in LA!
Small but really nice art and jewelry
The second Thursday of every month, Art Walk is a great community event. It can get crowded, especially during the long, warm evenings in the spring and summer. Parking and traffic are usually a mess, so if you dont live downtown, try taking public transit in.
Beautiful cityscape after sunset
Nice to just walk around and enjoy the views!!
Great art walk and to look or buy peoples art work. They also have different food truck s
Fun good time.
Great pieces and lots of interesting folk!
Cool art, memorabilia, music, and a lot of good food from food trucks. There are also a lot of street vendors near by with cool stuff.
Art walk L.A. is a wonderful get away from the usual shopping experience. With some Venice and Hollywood.collabersted ways the Artwellk L.A. is wonderful place to see whats. new to the youth of our city
Perfect spot to see and support your local artists. Vast creativity.
You see some very creative interesting things.
Its fun but it can be a little overdone. Do yourself a favor and fine a food truck and go to Hive Gallery
Really good food trucks and interesting art work
Friendly polite people and the prices werent too bad
Love thAt chicken
I just walk to Rite Aid store or CVS,Walgreen some times
Dont really hate it, dont really love it. If you want to look around and see art then this place is the place for you.
I walked this area 15 months ago and there was lots of great street art to admire or revile. Now idiots have defaced some of it, others has been painted over, some just gone. Yes, theres some new stuff but its tending to be too corporate for me. Disappointed
I live down town ani love the artwalk
Great location for everything...
Dont know if we even found it
I dont hate
Great street art and restaurants
Nice neighborhood art lovers event.
Mostly galleries and over priced street vendors and food trucks. mightve enjoyed the galleries if we didnt have our dog
Dirty nothing to do here
One of my favorite things to do with friends and family.
Love it here, very fun. You can find inexpensive art
Great crowd. Good food, music and events.
Liked it but needs more signage and the map needs to be clearer.
Love this areA. My favorite in L.A.
