I live by the LA river. 11 years and counting, but an Angelino since I was 2 years young. Ive seen this river evolve from a polluted dump to the more thriving full of life habitat that it currently is (including several homeless encampments but they are decent folks down on their luck that chose the LA river for its safety) Remember that 187 movie with Samuel Jackson? That had some scenes shot by the LA river, I truly remember it being like that, you came to the river at your own risk. Now its full of Hipsters sharing their beer and weed with you, young families taking their kids on bike rides and a brewery providing the very alcohol shared by the nice hipster neighbours and drank by the young couples taking their kids on walks or bike rides. You see, Craft beer will class up any situation, including public drinking. Still, this is a very happening nice community.
Went to the Japanese botanical garden here in spring season and it didnt disappoint at all. The colors were vibrant. It was a beautiful afternoon stroll around the garden. The place was well taken care of. Beautiful koi fish pond as well. Its a nice walk if you visit SF.
The Golden Gate Park is a must see place to walk around and enjoy the beautiful San Francisco weather. My husband and I were visiting from Chicago, and we really enjoyed the beautiful picturesque opportunities all around the park. We really wanted to see the Japanese tea gardens, but I did not realize that you have to pay a entrance fee of $20 I believe. One of my favorite spots to see in the Golden Gate Park was sitting and listening to the Golden Gate Park band. The area that the band was playing in had nice seating with shade, on a very hot sunny San Francisco day.
This park is gorgeous. Its perfect for a picnic, bike riding, running, and rollerblading. The architecture in the midst of it is a lovely view, and there are always enough people around to give it a vibrant, community feel. Plus, you can take your bike to the beach right after.
Random find on a recent trip to San Francisco. We stopped here only for a few minutes but it was easily the most fun we had all day. Make sure to use cardboard on the slide to make it faster. It was a few minutes out of the way and in a residential neighborhood but worth it!
Absolutely beautiful park, we arent from Los Angeles but after spending a day in the city walking around the park makes you forget that youre in a big city. Lots to see, pictures galore and you can definitely spend a whole day exploring here.
Im my opinion, it feels like an oasis or a world all of its own as soon as I step into the park. Lots to do. Great for meeting up with folks and I see that people have picnics there a lot.
I visited the conservatory and the Japanese Tea garden. The conservatory was my favorite place in the park. Also checked out Stow Lake. Lots more to see in the park just not enough time. Hope to come back and visit again.
Whats not to like. Buffalo, plenty of space, trails, and SF weather. Love the Golden Gate Park!
Beautiful and fun spot for dogs and families alike. Our son, almost 2, had a blast running around and seeing all the pups play. Our dog, Boxer, had the best time running around and splashing at the beach!
Great area for dogs. The beach the dunes and trails are all open and off-leash. Lots of professional dog walkers with 5 or 6 dogs which sort of bugs me. Its fine if everyone gets along.
First time to this dog friendly beach. Short 45 minute drive from San Jose. Easy to get to and a ton of free parking. Tons of dogs both on leash and off. Everyone seemed to do well. Beautiful paved trails as well as sand trails.
The Central Park of San Francisco. Its beautiful. Got so many lakes. The only rub is that leaving your car parked there is a little dangerous. The last time I went, there were a series of 4 cars in a row on Kennedy drive that all had windows broken out. Its big and sparsely populated, so difficult to secure.
This place is great. It makes me want to go out and get a dog just to bring it here to have the time if its life.
Awesome view! Its a great trail to walk around with a view of the ocean and if you have a dog even better! Remember to dress accordingly though! It is super windy and it is cold. I always wear a hoodie and tie my hair up because the wind can be a bit annoying haha
Very nice place to visit and tour yourself around and witness different monuments from years of the past.. pretty Kool
I loveee this place! Amazingly beautiful scenery and perfect place to bring your dog.
Eventhough theres is no CONTACT SPORTS at the park cuz of CORONAVIRUS workers still let them play basketball the worker that closes the park every day that drives the blue car he doesnt tell them anything he lets them play. He uses his personal car nd drives into the basketball courts fast instead of using the city golf cart or walk over there he should be fired!!!!

A very quiet place I usually take my children very often
The place is huge has a running trail, basketball fields, tennis, baseball and soccer. Place is amazing
Nice and peaceful place, great place for a walk but its a dirt trail need the synthetic field open instead. Though I see people sneaking in the fenced field when the person is supposed to keep watch.
Awesome playground...my son really loves it here too bad we live so far away from Los Angeles,CA wed go here everyday, but oh well ...once in a while would do it!!!!but its a great childrens playground...
Great park, and peaceful. I have lunch there with my wife often.
Great park for picnics :) Do come early though because parking can be a hassle.
Nice big park has a tennis rack area basketball area. That area is always filled with guys playing. soccer area baseball area. Playground for the kids. Swings for the kids. Grassy could bring a blanket sit down. On weekends people are selling sodas chips candy toys.
A great place to take a walk or just see if baseball game soccer game or other fun activities lots of activity lots of kids playing and lots of people with their pets and relaxing having a good time and enjoying the sites sounds smells sun and shade. Love going there in the summer especially when it’s really hot because the breezes keep you cool there and the games are fun to watch also it seems very safe I’ve never seen any trouble there or any violence or any even rude people great place to hang out for afternoon watching games or just give me whatever exercise
I love the energy here! Especially on Saturday mornings! There are so many runners training lots of motivation. You have a choice of so many trails. Definitely a great park to run/hike. Super convenient right off the 134 freeway w lots of parking areas. Clean & beautiful scenery.
Great place to enjoy with family and friends.
Great state park located just outside of down town. Come volunteer with Park Champions and help the community.
Kids love this park for the play area so I always take them. Lots of other kids are always there so they blend in and have a lot of fun. For the most part the park is kept clean and we never really have trouble finding parking
Fun place to watch kids soccer. Great food vendors in the parking lot.
Great place to play basketball. 4 courts for 5v5 games every weekend morning
Dont wanna say too much but nice and quiet so never come to it! One star!
Nice place to walk some trails and get out to get some fresh air
Nice play ground and play area for kids. Several futbol fields. Street food vendors often present during futbol matches.
Very nice Forest camp feel while still being close to the city.
SO many trails to explore! Love this place so much. My stress leaves once I get there. So beautiful. People are responsible and keep their dogs on leash. Its sad to see graffiti on the rocks....grow up people! I even came across a bobcat and he/she was respectful! Jumped back into the brush. I come here most weekends when in CA .
Park closes way early now and closes during the weekend and weekdays too
I used to celebrate my kids birthdays here until gangmembers started to hangout here. It didnt feel safe anymore
Beautiful place. Nice and quiet during the workday.
Love this place because it’s has a splash pad and plenty of food vendors. It’s big, very big... bathrooms just need to be kept up with.
Clean and friendly park. A few vendors for snacking and fun playground.
Great park with lots of basketball courts, tennis courts, and baseball fields. Water sprinkler fountains for the kids also. Very clean and well maintained.
Great park with a beautiful outdoor feel due to all of the trees & trails. Only thing that could make it better is to have more shade over the bleachers/stands at the baseball field (s).
I would give it 5 stars except that they have a very rude, unprofessional young lady that works in the afternoons in the office. Every single time I have spoken with her she has an attitude and treats me like I am asking for free services. Everyone else is very nice and helpful.
Went there for my nephews party and I got to say its a pretty big park. They have basketball courts, tennis courts, a few picnic area. Its really big and open
Great Playground for kids with a water area where they can squirt each other with water and splash around in the sprinkle area. Great free events and lots of places to get snacks from local food trucks and vendors
My kids play soccer here every weekend so I love it
Rio De Los Angele is my neighborhood park. Nice and friendly employees, clean restroom and good grounds for picnics.I encourage all to come and enjoy great time .
Family friendly parks. Classes available for group work out experiences. Great place for baseball, basketball, family picnics and walking or running. Plenty of free parking.
Its a nice quiet park. Near train track and river bed. The children had fun and made new friends.
Its really big and it also has many getaways to hang out at.
We always go to this park for basketball because they have four full sized courts and ️️️ what they did with the renovations. There are a lot of spaces and fields here for the athletic (tennis, football, baseball, soccer, etc.). And that means a lot of space for the non-athlete too .. especially if you just want a dose of the sun, a little bit of nature and just spending time with your family and friends.
Tennis courts just recently renovated. A lot of basketball courts that are always busy after 5. Nice walking trek near water.
I honestly love this park it has a little water park for the kids and playground it also has a basket ball and soccer court with a lot of food vendors! I would totally recommend this place for anyone with children or to anyone who would like to stay fit by playing soccer! There are also classes(guitar and etc)restrooms, an info desk, other places to explore and walk around, and tables where you can eat!
Its nice
Except for the diesel coughing trains that go by every 10 minutes, the park is great. If you walk your small dog there, you must keep your eye out for pit bulls and coyotes.
I love that place because it help you cool down on hot summer days since its like a mini water park and has food trucks .it is a great place for picnics with friends and family.
Awesome place for the whole family. Plenty of parking and many fun things to do outdoors.
Great place to take your family. To have a picnic or to play soccer or get wet with water sprinkler, they also have truck selling ice cream, nachos and other stuff.
Too many people think its their own back yard.
Beautiful! I would love to return and have a picnic! You almost forget where you are in the city. Def a rare gem in CA! Parking is limited but FREE in there lot (rare in LA). Restrooms are easy to locate as well.
I love to play ️ there
Walking at Cypress Ave from Division to Idell St. At Divine Savior Church. Carrying the Cross on Good Friday!
Well after a great walk, The restrooms are clean
Such a great park for walks and family time.
This park is great! In the summer it has a splash pad, good for one and all, and it is right next to the playground. It has a nice soccer field which is close to pad and playground.Baseball field is nice and is next to 4 full basketball courts( careful! Can be slippery due to concrete) and there is also plenty of room to picnic and stay in view of the little ones. Also there are plenty of ice cream vendors. Ice cream trucks and Corn and raspados! Have fun!
Its nice
Cool park right in DELA. Lots of grassy areas and trees for shade. Its hard to believe a park this big could be right in the city. Only downside is the small parking lot and we also couldnt find a restroom.
Great park to play ball at. Cant believe I drove by it so many time and didnt stop by.
My Dog seems to like this place.
How this place has changed, I encourage everyone to take time and visit. Helps to espace the busy week or day, with a 20 min visit you will feel the difference, the best part is that there isnt much of crowds, so a relaxing experience can be achieved.
Absolutely had a great time in this park you can go for walk and the kids can play
Great place to for kids and adults . there a nice small track you can walk or jog . soccer fields and a beautiful playground .
My Family had a Really good time this is a really good place to take friends and family.
A fun day was had today as I drove along PCH and finished the journey by watching the sunset at Elysian Park. I was surprised that it wasnt too crowded here. I enjoyed overlooking the valley as well as DTLA. This park is a hidden gem.
Always a great time
I go past it on the Metrolink train, seems nice. Looks like a good place to go for a walk.
Nice clean park with an awesome splash pad for the kids!
This is a beautiful park. Glad to see more people are appreciating the LA River.
Beautiful park. Water shooting up in the designated area for kids to play with.
Beautiful park! I love this park. Its clean for the most part and the soccer field looks exceptional!
Clean well kept ballpark. Little League Baseball field on one side Softball field on the other. Basketball and Tennis courts, also a Soccer field. Plenty of parking, very clean restrooms, picknick area with bench tables. Nice walking path, excellent lighting for night activity. Kid play area with jungle gym.
