Pleasant small Fish and Wildlife conservation area. The trail on the north side looks nice and has shady parking. The boat ramps at area 3 are small and probably mostly for paddle craft. There is motor boat access from Lake Griffin. It was very windy the morning I fished there and I didnt have much luck. The bird life is abundant. There is a trail to the south from the boat ramps that leads to a covered fishing and viewing area. There is also a self-guided driving tour that is seasonal and wasnt open when I was there.

February thru end of May. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.. beautiful day we had here.. See the better side of Florida... Seen lots if wildlife. Certainly worth the time.

Very quiet real florida canoes and 40 hp or less outboards and no airboats.

Good place for some peace and quiet. I have seen people fishing from a small bridge. Cars (weekend), hikers and cyclists are allowed. The area has been reopened. Great for nature, alligators, small animals & plenty of birds. The restoration took away some of the roads. However I was there two weeks ago and it is still a nice ride.

This was a very beautiful and well managed area. Its great for a peaceful walk. There was a combination of shade and sunny areas. Lots of room for parking and not overcrowded.

My favorite “secret” get away. Great fishing and wildlife viewing. Lots of alligators and snakes so be aware and keep your dog on a leash.

This is a wonderful place to go hiking and enjoy the outdoors. Its very clean and well maintained. I would recommend a walk through here. Plenty of parking is also available.

Absolutely spectacular facility. Even though it is government funded the roadway is only available to the taxpayers 39 days out of a year. Such a shame.

Ive been coming here for years. Its a beautiful drive through the marsh but its only open to vehicles mid February through May Friday through Sunday. You can hike or bike it year round though. Late winter to early spring is awesome for bird watching. There is even a boat launch for smaller boats. Definitely a good spot if you have a few hours to spend outbdoors.

I love going out there and just being with nature. There are some wild boars and alligators, though so do so with caution.

Not a lot of ducks and way too many hunters. The other hunters we inconsiderate and parked with in 100 yards of us. The gate was also locked and couldnt get in until after 4am.

Very popular with duck hunters. First time i have duck hunted and it was great. Can be crowded at times.

Been coming out here for years. Seen so many great thing from birds, gators, bobcats, and wild hogs. Just be careful walking around. You can drive through the main road February through May. Other than that its a really long bike ride.

If you ride a motorcycle, this is a really relaxing ride through the Marsh. Beautiful scenery, a bit of a twisty highway with very little traffic (mind your speed!) and several little pull offs to explore. A must do if youre riding up to the Ocala National Forest.

Great time. Peaceful! Public restroom would be a plus!

A quiet place to walk or bike along the levee, some areas are more over grown than others. A nice variety of wetland birds and a few alligators in the water. Saw a Barred Owl hiding in the trees and a harmless snake in the grass.

Actually, this is not a place for loud motorcycles. Walk, bike or ride in a car. The Marsh is closed (4.30.17) until further notice due to restoration/construction. Altho, It was supposed to be opened this year-??

Open area, not much to see, just Marsh area, if you look and see something black it will probably be a gator..be careful when your walking the road, the gators use it also to go in the river..
