One of the best gyms/pools around. They have several basketball courts, racket ball courts, 2 pools both indoor and outdoor and the facility is well kept and generally speaking inexpensive. For the features it offers the price is exceptionally reasonable. One of my favorite places to visit. I almost dont want to post this because I think of it as a hidden gem as when Ive gone it hasnt been over crowded. They have spray bleach to help fight covid and clean the equipment. The staff is pleasant. They also have various classes.
Very nice regional park with soccer fields, tennis, pool (indoor and out) as well as large open fields and walking trails. Only downside on a hot summer day is little shade on the walking trail so Bring a hat!
Great place. The outdoor food place takes too long to serve orders but everything else is great
Beautiful well maintained outdoor sport complex in a very premium part of the town!
LOVE the lazy river. So much fun!! Clean facilities, good music, always have a nice time at the pool!
Always fun for the family. Love the racquet ball courts
Great tennis facilities. There are 4 indoor courts and plenty of outdoor courts. It is clean and staff is friendly.
Large grassy area with trails created from mowing. Can be muddy and wet in some area from the rain. Its great for picnic, recreational activities, and dog walk. There are trash cans between the parking area and the large grassy area. There are a couple of portable bathrooms in the far side of the parking lot.
Beautiful park, really well maintained soccer fields.
I liked this place because of the activities and basketball and exercising! Also the pool was especially fun! I went here at the end of middle school for an eighth grade party and spent time with friends and acquaintances!
They have everything here. Maker space at library is cool too
Great place for a long walk along many different safe, well maintained walking paths with reasonable rates for the gym and pool facilities. Rust Library is a great place to unwind and relax with tons of great resources and spots to spend some quiet time if anything else gets too crowded, too. One of my favorite places in Leesburg.
The facilities were super clean, the service attentive and friendly, also staff were helpful and she helped us overcome the difficulty of explaining the way to the location, as my google map was out of data, overall; this place has everything and is perfect for familys with small kids. LOVE IT !!
Ida Lee is great! We mostly go for kids sports and swimming classes, and have had a consistently fantastic experience with staff, facilities, coaches/teachers, etc. Price for classes cant be beat. Fireworks shows have been excellent and well organized as well. Wed likely be members if we lived closer; from what weve seen, fitness center is surprisingly well equipped for a rec center gym, and of course the basketball, swimming, and tennis facilities are better than elsewhere.
Love taking my family here
Great facility. Mostly friendly employees. I wish they had longer hours for those patrons who work late evenings.
I hope you never plan on swimming here cause I promise, you wont. Whether you come in at 5am or anytime at the end of your work day the only thing that you can be certain of is that a swim team, most of which arent even reflected on the facility calendar, will swoop right in and take up 5 lanes. That leaves 3 lanes for the rest of the public to swim in. Guess what folks, you can get a whole 4 lanes of the same distance at Golds, LA fitness and others without being run out of the pool by an unscheduled swim team dropping in. Might have to look into Claude Moore myself.
Beautiful Place, love the library and the kids love the park
Great Rec Center. Especially for a publicly run facility.
I had a great workout. I walked on the treadmill for 15 min and the played 4 games of basketball (fullcourt). Today was a good day
Great place for walking and running, especially at dawn and dusk.
It was cool. I played basketball with my friend. They have really cheap vending machine snacks
Refer to Ida Lee as ol reliable cause I can always count on Ida Lee to have what I need. Whether it be the basketball court or the gym area
Everything seems to be handicapped accessible. Great park. The library is awesome and so is the recreation center itself. Indoor pool, indoor basketball and racquet ball courts. Now the outdoor pool is open too! Lots to do!
Clean facility but limited on cardio equipment available .
My kids love the indoor swimming pool, as well as the outdoor pool area.
For all you dog lovers. Mark your calendar for next year. The weekend after the pool closes for summer, before they drain and cover, they have a Saturday swim for dogs. AMAZING time was had by all
Simple and effective. Show off at other gyms, but work out here.
So happy Ida Lee is back open again!
Excellent tennis facilities.
Great place for families
Nice indoor basketball court, indoor pool, nice weight/workout room but can get a little crowded. They have a fitness room for all kinds of aerobic classes, outdoor tennis courts and I believe climate controlled tennis courts as well. During the warmer months the huge outdoor waterpark is open. An awesome venue hosting all kinds of classes/camps for all ages.
Beautiful park in the north of the town of Leesburg. Even if you dont use all the amenities like the aquatic center, gym, water park, or tennis courts, theres still acres on acres of open space to wander or play with a dog. Theres also a decent trail that goes around the entire park. Highly recommend the annual fireworks show every 4th of July.
Nice facility, typically pretty clean. Good trainers.
Friendly service. Fast and really delicious
It is a very good park and there are so many activities for people of all ages. It is well-maintained and well-kept. Also has a big water entertainment area (I never could go there though) but it looks so apealing :)
Good facilities and sports fields. Not as good for activities such as hiking, but not bad either.
Very large, well kept grounds, playgrounds, rock formations, trails, a pond, and more outside. The actual facilities are also fantastic. Ive been going there since I was old enough to walk, and have never had a bad experience.
Great facilities and beautiful grounds. Plenty of parking. Friendly and helpful staff.
Im not from VA, but when I visited family in the area, me and my dad wanted to see some fireworks and even though it was raining, there was a spectacular show and concert along with food. Props to Leesburg accommodating thousands of people yet still having the best show in the county. There was a lot of parking for the event and we were able to get out quickly.
Great facility and staff too. Very clean and the equipment is like new. Stated going here after my other gym closed down.
Very nice and clean place.
Lots of exercise options! Basketball courts, pool, Jacuzzi, heated pools, racquetball/squash courts, weight room, and I think rent-able rooms for events.
Its a good recreation center, nothing special though
Such a nice quiet relaxing place to ride a bike, walk/run and 2 swimming complexes! Lots of grass area for and old fashion picnic!
Amazing place with many things to do
Very friendly, yet vigilant lifeguards. Very friendly and courteous front office staff. Great instructors. My kids love it here.
Very clean. Lots of equipment. They have basketball courts and s couple of racquetball courts. An indoor pool is available. Next door is an aquatic center. Non-Leesburg residents can get a day pass for just $7.50. Staff is friendly. Classes are offered in various disciplines, too.
Nice atmosphere, great friendly crowd and a lot of fun in the pool.
Beautiful grounds and excellent facility but expensive even for residents. They often schedule swim classes and cordon off a large section of pool limiting your ability to swim dispite the entry fee.
Im sure under normal circumstances its very good, this time the 4th of July celebration and fireworks were rained out. Still, well run and we were able to evacuate by professional police and others. We plan to try again next year.
I love this park. Has everything that I want.
Beautiful park with tennis courts, play grounds, recreation center, water park and gardens.
Craft fair was filled with extraordinary talent once again!
Awesome field and kids can play too!
My friend and I went to Ida Lee to use the hot tub because she goes to physical therapy and was told that would help. As soon as we were seated in the hot tub, a life guard approaches us saying that we have to leave because she was wearing shorts and a t-shirt (mind you, there were others dressed the same). He said it was for hygiene reasons. We had been going all summer and only a few days prior as well, when everyone there had seen her wear these clothes before. We went up to the front desk and explained she would be in a swim suit if she could find one in her size. They proceeded to saying it was not allowed and gave us a refund with a number to call for complaints. The number given was to the same woman at the desk and not even to the man we were supposed to contact. This place doesnt even deserve 1 star.
This is the perfect community park I have seen, the Jim Burnett park in Winchester comes close, but has a much smaller community center and no library. Not to mention lack of indoor pool.:)
We took family photos there. Nice place.
Fantastic park and rec center. well maintained. Fun for families or singles. If you walk your dog here (or anywhere) pick up your pet waste! Keep the park clean and safe for everyone.
Great park in the old town center. Love the veggies garden
Beautiful park, has a wonderful community garden. My family goes every year.
Daughter is a lifeguard there and the facility is fantastic.
I have been going to Ida lee for a long time. Their facility has maintained well over the years, and their employees are pretty friendly
Good park. Great green for all types of activities. The playground is great for the little kids. There are a lot of trees for shade and coverage of it starts to rain. The pavilion is good sized, good enough for fifty people to squeeze under if the weather starts to get ugly. Good park!
Wonderful staff, great scenery and a couple small running trails in the back
Great facility. Almost like a country club, but of course no dinning. Basketball, racket ball, 25 yard in door pool. Lots of work out equipment. Out door water park in the summer. Meeting rooms and classes. All in a beautiful well maintained building. Nice Lacrosse and soccer fields.
We loved Star gazing Party with family and friends at Rust library
The open green space is great, and the park itself has several climbers and some swings (both bigger kid and small child). Theres also a gazeebo as well and the library it right there if you need bathroom access.
Ida Lee Recreation Center is a great place for anyone in the community to visit. They have a wide variety of activities, sports, and other events that are constantly taking place throughout the year, and many are fit for the whole family. The swimming pools, tennis center, basketball courts, gym, and other open spaces are always well kept, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The grounds around the Center are beautiful, and the fact that they are open for the public makes them all the better. For those looking for a location to take swimming lessons, go to the gym, or just hang out in the sun, its hard to find a much better area nearby.
Very nice place. A lot of open space, and not very crowded. A place to go and think.
Best place for Family Fun time.
Ida Lee is the place to be! This is where I personally workout (shout out to the body pump instructor Patti - shes the best!) And where we take the kids for swim lesson. We have seen so much growth with little kiddos - instructor Tanya, Jenine, Cindy, and Manor are the best!!! We also love when Oliver is home from college to teach!
What a great place. A real jewel of a recreational center. The swimming pool is first class and they always have multiple swim lanes and water walking lanes. And yes, for you how just want to “splash around” there is an open swim area and diving boards in the deep end.The workout room is the cleanest gym I have ever been in. They keep spray bottles and cleaning rags at station all around the gym. They even keep a fresh sweat towels on hand. There are lots of cardiovascular machines and a large free weight area as well. There are two racquetball courts and several multipurpose rooms with schedule classes (exercises). One of the best feature is there is NO required membership. Pay as you go, buy multiple use passes or half or whole year passes.
Very nice recreation center and library with seemingly something for everyone
Ida Lee Recreation Center is a great place for organizing an Event. There are a wide variety of activities, sports, and other events that are constantly taking place throughout the year, and many are fit for the whole family. The swimming pools, tennis center, basketball courts, gym, and other open spaces are always well kept, and the staff is always helpful and friendly. The grounds around the Center are beautiful, and the fact that they are open for the public makes them all the better.
Nice facility and a great pricepoint!!
Good place to exercise. However I went to a craft show their which is always nice. They have it every December.
This place could be amazing! My friend and I called because we wanted to go for an evening swim. Yes they were open. We got there. Paid 14 bucks for us both. We saw 3 huge pools and were stoked! We walked into one pool room and got in before we were told this pool is closed for swimming lessons and the other pools were around the corner. We went into that room. 2 huge pools and a hot tub. Perfect. One pool was a wading pool. Meh, but great for kids. The other pool had lanes.....only a few minutes after entering, the aerobics class arrived, so we couldnt swim.....this literally left us only the hot tub. Which, I admit, was great.....but kinda defeated the purpose of my going swimming.Ruined it for me.....
They play eary morning basketball here. Nice runs and everyone gets a chance to play if you get there early
Have not visited the rec center, but have been to the amazing outdoor pool with a lazy river, great kids space with slide, zero depth entry. Etc. Gets crowded and great fun for low entry fee. Nice open grew spaces at the park ND nice play ground. Good walking trails.
Beautiful landscape nearby library, perfect place for kids to read & play
Very nice well kept place.
Very nice park. Have a large playground for the kids. The facility had gym, pool, basketball court, racquetball. Clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. They offer summer programs for the kids and tons of activities for adults and children.
Beautiful park with various sports facilities and big lawns - walking paths not marked well and could be better maintained.
The Ida Lee Rec Center has a wonderful aquatics area (among other amenities) with a pretty low price for entry, if you dont have a membership. My kids have taken swim classes here from the great instructors for several years now. The center itself is also very close to Rust Library and the associated playground so it makes a fun day for kids at very low cost.
Clean and the people are helpful. Its organized and well run.
I have a membership and its a great place to go with your friends and play some basketball
Good fun. Clean, nice staff, beautiful landscaping. Great snack bar too
Great gym and pool for Leesburg residents
We come here for the playground: the kids love it and there are always plenty of other kids to play with. And if you time it right, when theyre tired, you can make a quick stop in the library for kids books.
Excellent staff, great management and very positive attitudes. Facilities are well maintained.
Clean, well maintained place for kids play. We with our Grand children, enjoyed our trip.
Clean facilities and nice staff.
