Bradford was exceptional! You could tell he was very passionate about his job and enjoyed giving the tour.The headphones were an excellent touch as I could hear him close up and at the back of the group! This came in handy when I stayed behind to take a few pictures which he encouraged us to do at the beginning of the tour if we so pleased.He was able to remember everyones names and incorporated different individuals of the group to play the rolls of the historic figures in his stories.A thoughtful gesture he provided was standing in the middle of the crosswalk to ensure everyone made it across safely.Overall my husband and I enjoyed this tour and the haunting history behind Savannah!

I went through their Savannah Dark History & Ghost Encounter Tour. For those of you wondering, this one is more historical than spooky, which I enjoyed. If you want something scarier, you might want to check elsewhere in Savannah. Dont worry, though this tour was highly informative and adventurous. Our guide was friendly, interactive, an he really knew what he was talking about. Everything was based in historical fact, but that just made it all freakier!

We had such a great time on the haunted history tour last night. T.C. Is such an amazing storyteller and really brings to life the history of these beautiful homes in Savannah. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to know the darker history of Savannah and isn’t looking for a cheesy tour. This is the real deal and you can tell how well researched and passionate this company is about the history.After the tour we asked him about the hotel we were staying at and he kindly stayed and chatted with us giving us some extra history about that area and the street we were standing on. This was an amazing experience and if I am every in Savannah again I would take this tour again!

Not only was the tour spooky, it was full of history as well. T.C. was fantastic and is an amazing story teller. He also remembered bits and pieces about the guests and was very interactive. TC did a great historical walking tour with allowing interaction from all taking the tour. He took extra time to make sure we understood every detail along with audio visual aids which were extremely informative. The tour went over the anticipated time frame and shows that TC is dedicated to give you all the information even at the expense of his own time. This is truly the Best tour in Savannah.

Very entertaining, we loved it. Our guide was amazing and made the tour so much fun. We had ear buds and a mini transmitter so no problems hearing our guide. Lasted over 2 hours and we saw and heard so much. Highly recommend this tour if you are in Savannah.

Even if you think ghost stories aren’t for you, Bradford brings them to life. He made every story interesting and exciting. His energy was infectious. And his passion about the city itself made this one of the best tours we have ever been on. He even made it fun for our 8 year old.

This tour was so much fun! I love ghost tours and this one wasnt a disappointment in the least! Our tour guide was Bradford. He had so much knowledge and energy, and a palpable enthusiasm for the beautiful city of Savannah. He was extremely personable, asked every person their name and where they were from, and -get this- he REMEMBERED haha. He even tailored the story with a few personalized jokes. The storyline that was told on the tour was never boring, and I had more than a few creep out moments. The company provides speakers and headphones for you so that people in the back can hear the tour guide well without having to be front and center. I appreciated it because I have really bad hearing. Best tour I’ve ever been on in my entire life. TC goes above and beyond what I even knew was possible for a tour like this. My girlfriend and I were celebrating an anniversary that evening and we were so happy to be spending with TC and the other members of the group. T.C. is an amazing storyteller who really brought the haunted history of Savannah to life. He gives all participants headsets so we can wander at our pace and still clearly hear everything he says. We came down here for the first time and did this tour on the first morning which I highly recommend. It’s so great to know about the history and architecture so that you can notice things when you’re out exploring. We had TC and he took time to look at my to-do list and tell us about the Jewish temple. So glad we supported this great tour. We all had masks and it was safe!

Im new to the city and wanted to learn a fun side of the history. This tour did just that. I had Bradford as my tour guide and he did a really great job of sharing his love for the city. His excitement for Savannah is contagious! Also he deserves bonus points for navigating the uneven sidewalks backwards!

Please note that this review applies only to the Savannah Ghost Encounter Tour and is not in any way reflective of our lovely guide, Bradford, who was both an experienced and talented actor and seemed to be a genuinely nice person.Eighty percent of the reason for this low score is because there were about 20 people in our group and social distancing was impossible. We are in a pandemic and I expected the group sizes to be smaller. I spent the whole time worrying as people in the group stood close to me, sometimes pulling their masks down and talking.As for the tour itself, I could barely understand what poor Bradford was saying through the headphones about 40% of the time. I could understand him perfectly when I was within hearing range of him and not using the headphones.The stories he was telling were interesting, but a little cheesy. I know this wasnt a photo tour, but a moment here and there to stop for a photo wouldve been appreciated.There were many other tour groups and we kept having to move (again, not socially distanced) to accommodate them. The overall effect of the night was one of being herded like a cow throughout the beautiful squares of Savannah.Definitely not recommended. Wish Id paid for a private tour. Im taking their historic tour in the morning and will update this review based on that.Update: the daytime historical tour was much much better than the ghost tour. I think the ghost tour area is just oversaturated with too many tour groups, and also attracts a different kind of customer (no one took off their mask during the historic tour). To clarify about the number of people per group, 30 is the max under state law right now, and Genteel and Bard is maxing out at 20 for safety reasons, but of course this is a competitive business. The owner also offered me a refund for the night tour which I refused.All in all, a good family-run company with good people trying to make money in what seems to be a saturated paranormal market. I would recommend the historic tour, totally recommend against the ghost tour during covid, and generally recommend against the ghost tour during normal times unless you have a particular passion for it.

Our tour guide, TC was awesome! He was super personable and a great story teller. He allowed you to visualize each story perfectly! We learned an incredible amount of history as well as the dark parts that inevitably came with it. He even stayed an extra 30 minutes after to share with us parts of the history that weren’t apart of the tour. I would recommend to anyone wanting to see more of Savannah and learn a little history in the process.

Jovi was our guide. He was very nice and full of information, but the tour was not what I expected. When I hear ghost tour, I think hauntings and ghosts, not just a bunch of reminders that were walking on dead bodies and stories that our guide had from previous guests experiences. If this had been a history tour, 100% would leave 5 stars, but very disappointing for a ghost tour. Im only leaving two stars instead of one because of how nice Jovi was, and the headphones are a fantastic addition to the tour.

T.C. is such a wonderful storyteller! At first I was a little bummed because the tour doesn’t go past Calhoun Square / 432 Abercorn St. I had no idea the city actually doesn’t allow that anymore, so T.C called me to let me know that was why, in addition to some background on the house and what’s going on with it today. It was such a sincere and thoughtful gesture. I will absolutely try a different tour with them next time I’m in town!

During our first ever visit to Savannah, we made the decision to take the Walking History Tour with Genteel & Bard. It was the best thing we did for ourselves during our stay in the city. T.C. was outstanding as a guide and taught us the history of Savannah in a unique way, using his own extensive knowledge along with pictures, music, and recorded passages on his iPad. The use of ear-buds for everyone in the group ensured that we would not miss a word throughout the entire walk. The best ghost tour In Savannah! My husband and I had the pleasure of taking part in this spooky and very historically educational tour led by Bradford. I cannot say enough about our tour guide! He was one of the best story tellers I’ve ever met. He was energetic, played the part and held the attention of the group the entire time, even on a Saturday night of the St Pattys Day celebrations! I was very pleased with the ear buds and transmitters they provide for the tour so you can hear well even with the noise in the city. I would recommend this to anyone looking- five stars!

Awesome! We have done several different ghost tours in Savannah, so we were worried about hearing the same stories. Not with T.C.! He was very knowledegable and has obviously spent a lot of time researching the city. The tour was informative and interesting. My husband and I were visiting from a Connecticut for research for a book Im writing. I love haunted history so much I have my own tour company in Connecticut. I knew from reading online that these folks took the art of storytelling seriously which is why we booked with them. What I couldnt know was how personable, entertaining and informative our guide Bradford would be. He remember everyones names, took the time to meet everyone and included everyone through tour tour to stay engaged. The stories were legitimately frightful and truly fascinating and we even got some ghost photos while we were there. T.C. gave us a wonderful walking tour of Savannah. He was passionate and informed about the city and we learned so much we never knew. We took the tour our first day here and I believe it truly gave us a fresh and insightful perspective into the city we’d be spending the next couple days. This is by far the best tour I’ve been on. We had a small group (5 people) and had small disposable ear buds so we could keep a safe distance in light of COVID-19 and wander off to take pictures. T.C. enhanced our already interesting tour by playing music by local musicians and showing us photos and historic maps on his iPad. I can’t recommend this tour enough!

My girlfriend and I just left the ghost tour.We thoroughly enjoyed the dark history we learned tonight from our excellent guide.We didnt experience anything paranormal during the tour but as we left the tour which ended at the Colonial cemetery, my girlfriend felt a strong pinch on her right shoulder which was painful enough that she yelled out ow and abruptly turned around expecting to see a stranger messing with her.Of course there was no one there! Savannah is indeed haunted.

They give you headsets so you can hear the tour guide the whole time without getting on top of everyone else. Good storytelling.

We had Mr. Ed and it was a great time! Love the audio/ear buds feature, its extremely helpful with all the surrounding noise, and gives you a bit of space between everyone. And in a city full of tourist traps, we appreciated his honesty in telling stories that can be verified and arent just rumors developed over the years. My group participated in the 8pm haunted Friday evening. Our guide was Bradford was wonderful and personable with the group. It was a fantastic experience and great mixture of humor, history, and spooky tales. You could tell the guide was very knowledgeable about Savannah and its history. The headphone option was great, even though Im in my twenties! I loved being able to wander with the group and not have to strain to hear anything over the sounds of the city. I would highly recommend this ghost tour!

It’s not a ghost-hunting expedition, it’s not a boring walking history tour... and it’s awesome. Bradford led us through the streets of Savannah after dark for a two-hour interactive tour of the historic district and kept our attention the entire time with his storytelling style. We learned soooo much about Savannah in a very fun way! The microphone and earpieces made it very easy to hear him. Definitely choose their “dark history and ghosts” tour if you’re in town for vacation. :)

AMAZING TOUR!! I dont usually believe in these things but OMG T.C had me freaked out by the end! So much fun and so much historical information that I would definitely book again with them! T.C was enthusiastic and truly enjoys what he does, teaching others about this great city!

Maybe this type of tour just isnt for us, but the storytelling was overly theatrical without saying much of anything. Most of the stories were experiences that other people have had while on the tour. The guide also asked what my relation was to my wife but didnt ask that of any other couple in the group. So that was uncomfortable.

Over the years, my wife and I have enjoyed many excellent walking tours all over the world. This tour was easily among the best of all. TC was a superb host. He was extremely well informed and obviously loves being a guide. His theatrical experience makes the stories about the people, culture and history of Savannah come alive. Weve been on at least one different Savannah tour each year for the past 15 years and this one is the best yet! TC is engaging and passionate about his beautiful city, making you anticipate the next part of the tour. We loved how the tour was organized from 1733 to present and the additional photos/narratives he used to enhance his presentation were perfect. In addition, he uses microphone/ear pieces so that you can hear him no matter where you are in the group!

Multi media walking tour! We took the Historic tour, and he provides new earbuds (that you keep) and a receiver that you return to him. So handy that you can easily hear over the traffic and everything else. He also uses a tablet to show you historic photos of people, the inside of some of the historic homes, and he plays audio clips of historic speeches and letters. With 8 people in our group it was a perfect size.The walking tour started near Wrights square and went up to where we could see the Forsyth park fountain but didnt actually get to the park (maybe due to the 1/2 marathon that day) And ended near Leopolds ice cream - yum! Several hours of walking at a leisurely pace with frequent stops. The tour covers history highlights and also info on some of the movies shot in Savannah.He made several awesome suggestions - one to explore an Antiques store which is an un restored home inside, & Satchel a leather goods company. He also had restaurant suggestions we hope to hit next time.You can find coupons on his Facebook page and you can book the tour online. I highly recommend TC!

We had an absolutely fantastic time on the ghost tour!!!! T.C. Was kind, passionate about the history he was telling us and really engaging to the group. It was spooky and I would recommend this tour to anyone! I found it because it was the “top rated” ghost tour in Savannah and it really held up to that standard. The personal earbuds were a great touch as well, it gave us our own personal space to experience the tour while still being able to hear him.

It was mine and my husbands honeymoon and we booked a tour for a Friday night. We had T.C and he was an excellent guide. He really was into the tour. He kept the energy up amongst the crowd and you can really tell that he loved doing what he does. He wasn’t boring or monotone. And he had evidence to show for any ghostly activity from other tours. This was my first Savannah ghost tour experience, surprising with the number of times I visit each year, and I can say with absolute certainty that I will never go anywhere else. I dont even know where to start I was so blown away by the rich history and level of storytelling. T.C. did a fantastic job weaving bone chilling tales of events that occured right where youre standing!! His passion and love for the city were obvious, and I loved the ear pieces they distributed. Im hard of hearing so being able to catch every word truly made this experience one Ill never forget, not even if I tried! We went on the 9:30pm ghost tour on a Monday. T.C. was such a great story teller and very enthusiastic about making sure everyone had a great experience. Would absolutely recommend this tour.

Excellent tour. TC was very knowledgeable and had great insights into the history as well as the architecture of the area. The use of the headsets muffled the city noise and made the tour even more enjoyable.

We went on a Saturday evening ghost tour. T.C. was an excellent guide weaving Savannah history with just the right amount of spooky. He even took a small group of us to a bonus location for one last story to end the. Ugly with. Even though our group had around 20 people in it, he made it feel very personable. We brought our two dogs along and he made them feel welcome as well. We have done tours in almost every place we’ve visited and this was one of the best we’ve ever been on.

This is an amazing tour! I was torn between choosing this one and another and I am so glad I went with this tour. T.C. was a fantastic guide who was both knowledgeable and entertaining. He had a great way of combining history with the paranormal and was accepting of both believers and non. Even when the tour was over he showed us the way back to our hotel and upon doing so also continued to share stories and his knowledge of Savannah. He is truly passionate about his work and I want to encourage anyone that is interested in a tour to take this one. The great thing as well is you arent supporting some large corporation that sees you as a typical money carrying tourist. Youre supporting a family that sees you as a friend.

Twenty years ago I read a book called Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and it inspired me to want to travel to Savannah. I finally made my dream come true twenty years later when I was able to visit Savannah with my Dad.I read about the ghost tours and wanted to do one of them during my visit in Savannah. He can make a normal dark alley into a possibility of a close encounter of the ghostly kind. I enjoy history and thought that the tour was educational and spooky at the same time. T. This was perhaps my favorite Savannah experience ever and I LOVE that city. The tour is a wonderful mixture of history and animated story telling. Though many moments are uneasy (as we would want them to be) T.C makes sure that you are aware at all times. I would spend my money here ANYTIME.

This will be a repeat of what most reviews have already stated about Genteel & Bard- but thats because its the truth! My husband and I did the walking ghost tour on our honeymoon, and it was one of our favorite experiences of our entire time in Savannah! The (sanitary) earbuds were awesome and T.C. makes you feel as if youre walking around with an old friend. Hes very warm to everyone in the group and you can see his knowledge & passion for Savannah in the way he tells his stories. It truly made our trip! We will tour with them again when we return to Savannah!

Went on a 10 am tour around town. The group was small, just six people. The guide was extremely knowledgeable and really brought the history of the place to life. He told enthralling stories about the town.The headsets were the highlight of the tour. Ive taken many walking tours and it was super nice to be able to hear the guide clearly without having to be super close to him.Would recommend.

Easily the most fantastic tour Ive ever taken in any city Ive ever visited. This review is a bit belated, but our guide T.C. was very knowledgeable, his presentation was extremely smooth, and he was very personable and kind. The tour included a good deal of detailed information on the history, pop culture, and current events of Savannah. In addition to the natural flow of T.C.s presentation I would also say that the face we were provided with ear buds to hear him speak makes this tour stand apart - we had no problems hearing the guide speak, and he did a great job of repeating any questions anyone had so that we could hear the rest of the group speak without having to strain to hear over traffic and other tourists. Im surprised the tour was as affordable as it is, Im also surprised the tour isnt as popular. I look forward to returning and doing the ghost tour.

Did the Savannah ghost tour. It was spooky and interesting. The guide was awesome, entertaining, accommodating. The ear pieces were a great touch since I tend to walk slow and lag behind so I appreciated not having to rush to catch up to the group and still being able to hear everything. Believe the great reviews. T.C. Is the most personable, animated, genuinely friendly and authentically enthusiastic tour guide we’ve ever had (and we’ve had them all over the world). He lives in the Historic District, greets many shopkeepers and people on the street by name, and loves introducing tourists to “his” Savannah. Earbuds to hear his narration and stories and his use of a large iPad to show photos and augment narration are examples of his tour “going the extra mile.” So glad we had a chance to spend an afternoon with this entertaining professional. Hope we can return for his ghost tour.

My wife and I have gone on several walking tours in the southeast and TC was the best guide weve had, bar none. Hes a great storyteller and his personality is perfectly suited to be a tour guide. Additionally, his knowledge of Savannah and its local lore was illuminating. 11/10 definitely recommend.

We had a great experience on our ghost tour! Their set up is great- the guide has a mic and everyone has earbuds. You never miss anything the guide is saying and it allows the group to spread out and not be so crammed together. TC was an excellent guide! He has a knack for storytelling and it’s obvious that he loves Savannah and it’s history. I would highly recommend this tour!

Nothing but good things to say. The history and storytelling was top notch! Our guide made a concerted effort to get to know everyone and was so knowledgeable when asked questions. They deserve all five stars!

We had an incredible time with TC. My wife is in the area for a few months working and we wanted to take a tour to learn a little more about Savannahs history. TC gave us that and more. The tour has headsets so you can walk at a comfortable pace to enjoy the tour and take in the city. During the tour TC would use his iPad pro to show us images of the city, its people, and buildings. TC also played small selections from some of the cities best known artists. Each of these elements created the feeling that I was part of the city. It was a really incredible experience that I would gladly do again. We cannot wait to take The Ghost Tour.

My daughter and I decided to do this tour our last night in town. TCs amazing historical knowledge and captivating storytelling made this tour a couple of the best hours we spent in Savannah! We will be retelling the stories for years. Thanks!

Really enjoyed a birthday weekend on Hilton Head and then Savannah. TC is a very gifted story teller and provided an enchanting and memorable experience.

The best ghost tour weve been on! We had family come to see us here in Savannah and they go on ghost tour in every city they visit so of course we made sure to take them on the one here! They absolutely loved it! And so did we! Found out a lot of interesting info about Savannah and had just a great time! Our guide TC was making it a priority to involve all of us, made sure everyone saw pictures he had and made two hour go by real quick. Thank you guys for the awesome job! Oh, and the headphones is just the best part, no stress to get in front and hear what the guide is saying, it just makes it so much more fun!

The tour with TC was excellent. We were hosting a bachelorette party and all the girls loved it. TC was an awesome story teller and interactive with the group.

TC was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and an animated and fun story teller. He brought all of the ghost stories to life (well almost) and made this a very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this tour.

We loved our tour around the historic district. Our guide was super knowledgeable and handled our questions with ease. We liked the addition of digital media - playing primary sources of historical figures and the sharing of historical photos. The wireless headsets were in excellent condition and used to enhance our experience. We would recommend them to our friends without doubt. Our 2 hour tour was personal, it did not feel cookie cutter. He added things as he learned about our interests as we walked. You will not be disappointed by this friendly team.

One of the best ghost tours I have been on! T.C. was so knowledge, and he knows how to tell a story! The best part of the tour was that he gave everyone a set of ear buds (he had a microphone) so we could wander around the areas while still able to hear him.

T.C. hosted a fun and engaging ghost tour. He brings a lot of historical knowledge of Savannah, and is a great story teller! This tour was, without a doubt, the best I have ever participated in. T.C. had me enthralled with his stories, weaving a spell that made every site come alive. I love that he uses earbuds so you can wander while still hearing him. He is a natural born storyteller and he made our trip to Savannah so special. Cant recommend highly enough!

We did the history tour by Genteel & Bard...and OMG, our host TC was absolutely amazing. He was not only informative, but also fun, polite and charming. We wear earbuds while walking around the city so we can continuously hear the stories he is telling us...by far the most enjoyable history tour we have been on.

I go on a lot of ghost tours and this one was by far the best Ive ever been on. TC really knew how to set the mood and make a story send a chill up your spine. I really liked the use of the microphone and receivers, it really gave you some freedom to wander. I think Ill bring my own headphones next time though, as earbuds dont like to stay in my ears. But there will definitely be a second visit! Great job!

Best Ghost Tour!! TC was an amazing and entertaining story teller and really knew his stuff! You could tell he loves what he does and is fully immersed in it! The earbuds provided are really a nice touch because you can always hear what he’s saying while you’re doing your own thing. While we were walking around i couldn’t help but listen in on the other tours around to compare them to the one I was on, and the others didn’t even compare!!! They didn’t know or explain half the stuff that TC did and everyone on the tour looked bored, while our group looked interested and excited the whole time! Definitely recommend this ghost tour!!
