This place was horrible! Lamps had been horribly rewired. The splices were about an inch or two thick with electrical tape and there were still wires exposed. The rooms were not even clean. Walls were stained. Not very safe feel to it. Wouldnt go outside without my husband or Marine son. AC unit was disgusting. We actually stayed here in March of 2017 to visit my other Marine son. Ive included pictures with this review.
Location is AMAZING. Right off the Freeway, so easily accessible. The service is also great with clean & speedy service with daily cleaning. The room itself is decent, beds are decent, but not too soft, & bathroom is decent as well. Theres no smell, & all of the necessary amenities.
Everything has been really great here. The room was nice and checking in was super quick. Love the jacuzzi tub! Also staff has been excellent, we even dined in the hotel restaurant twice. Overall would definitely stay again on our next trip here!
This was likely a really nice resort 40 years ago but I dont think theyve fixed, replaced, or upgraded a single thing since then. For example, they gym is spacious and has several decent machines (no free weights) but the a/c has been broken probably for years. They havent even bothered to put in a fan or something. They said, oh just open the door and let some air in. It was unseasonably hot and humid during our visit, so I made it about 10 minutes before I left and finished my workout in my room.In our room, electrical outlets either didnt work or were hanging loose from the wall. The bathtub drained super slowly. The carpeting was ripped. The smell everywhere including the lobby was just musty and gross. The location is great and the beds are comfortable. But theyre double beds, not even queens.Theres a reason it is the cheapest place on Hotel Circle. Not recommended unless you really just dont care about aesthetics and just need a place to crash. Otherwise spend an extra $20 a night and choose one of the other Hotel Circle options.
Eh, its an inexpensive room that is easy to get to from anywhere in the city. The staff is very friendly. But lets be honest here, the room isnt spectacular. Its a place to sleep at night and take a shower. If you want an amazing room, book elsewhere if you want a cheap room to save money for a trip, this is not a bad option.
When you walk into the hotel, it feels like traveling back to the 1970s. Its a uniquely drab place that would be perfect for the set of a low budget sequel to The Shinning with Nicholas Cage taking the role of Jack. There was a musky aroma and the carpets surely held untold secrets that would likely become a luminous display under black light conditions. If you happen to trip and your skin touches the mangy carpet flooring, Id estimate you have an 87.3% chance of contracting a communicable disease. Good luck.
We checked into this place and checked right back out 10 minutes later. It was downright repulsive. I am *very* suspicious of the 4 & 5 star reviews theyve received. The room smelled absolutely horrible, the TV was some piece of garbage from the 80s, and the bathroom was SO NASTY. We didnt even want to sit down on the bed for fear of whatever was undoubtedly lurking & thriving on it.I would recommend staying away from this place. The Best Western Seven Seas and Kings seem to be the best value on the circle. Motel 6 is also worth considering, although the beds are VERY uncomfortable. But its still about 10s better than Mission Valley Resort!
Decent place for the price.I made reservations for a room with two double beds a few weeks ahead of time. Arrived to to hotel late at night and was told that there were no more rooms available with double beds. They put us in a room with a single King bed. They switched us to a room with double beds the next day.Their staff were friendly but the accommodations werent all there. Everything was disorganized. They also ran out of clean towels for the rooms when room service came in to clean. We had to wait till they washed more towels. Not a bad experience, but definitely not the best either. They just need to set the rooms when theyre reserved. And get more towels.
This motel was a bit old but l loved the layout of the room. We were also close to pool and jacuzzi. They do bill your card an extra $100 when you check in, in case you eat at their restaurant and it automatically goes on your bill. They credit you if you dont. Didnt like that.
The AC in my moms room didnt work. My room had no cable. They were unable to provide a role away bed for my nephew. Plus out of the four rooms my family had not one of them had a Do not disturb / No housekeeping required sign. However, the customer service was great. They did try there best to accommodate.
Friendly and very prompt staff. Does look like they are making renovations which is great! Rooms that arent renovated are a little outdated (old TV, loose plugs, etc) definitely get a room with a balcony! You can open the door for some fresh air, and it oversees the decorated courtyard. Cant hear neighbors!
Even though the properties being sold the staff still maintains a very happy attitude. We have enjoyed many stays here in the last few months and would like to maintain that relationship as long as possible. the rooms are a bit Antiquated but comfortable and the outdoor setting is amazingly beautiful.
Great beer selection with a good happy hour. And for a bar thats in a popular downtown area the pool tables are in great shape. Would love to go back but was only in town for a few days.
DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU CAN!!!!!We arrived mid-day on Friday, the staff was absolutely wonderful (only reason I agreed to a one-star), however the rooms and other guests were terrible. The place isnt a resort, it is a place prostitutes work and homeless would sleep. Not only were they staying there, but also soliciting on the side of the resort. At night, there were sketchy men in the parking lot, didnt feel safe at all.As for the rooms - we opened the door and could smell mold immediately. Lights didnt work, the vending machine right outside looked like a murder scene. The carpets and comforters were filled with stains, the bathroom looked like it was built in the 70s. And I cant forget the beautiful view of the hill crawling with homeless people, garbage and shopping carts. And if that doesnt convince you, just google Police Reports, Mission Valley Resort. Dont understand how this place is even operating.Needless to say we didnt sleep there and stayed at the Holiday Inn a few doors down- highly recommended!!!
Only has 1 pool for over 100 rooms. 3 sections but the pools were covered to the top with dirt and weeds. House keeping was terrible I had called and made several complaints. Ended up chancing down housing keeping to get towels and take my trash out. Receptionist were nice when we booked then became rude and snobby after. Pictures online were nice looking but was a completely different place when we got there
Review is for our wedding reception. Alex was a pleasure to work with, very accommodating, excellent pricing, the food was good. The room was dated, but we paid about half what we would have anywhere else. Once we set up our lighting equipment it looked awesome. Highly recommend using these guys for a wedding or similar event.
The location is very, very good for the cost. The hotel itself is older and dont go if you are snobby and expecting the Ritz. My family had a lot of fun in the pool and Jacuzzi and the staff was friendly and helpful. Not 5 stars because no continental breakfast!
This place is affordable and has helpful staff. The bed was comfortable. The room was a bit small, with limited surfaces to keep suitcases. The room did not smell fresh although the bathroom was very clean.
The rooms are somewhat spacious. I got a double bed. The hotel grounds are quiet and well kept. The service was great and extremely courteous. I would definitely stay here again
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The grounds are nice and well maintained. The rooms are a good size. However, the rooms are dated, the cleaning staff could do a better job, and I did see two small roaches in the bathroom my first night.
I spent the better part of 40 days there and stayed at at least 5 rooms there during that time. I admit, I was a little taken back when I first checked in there thinking, Wow, this is not like the website But I am glad that I had the chance to live there. The staff in the lobby / check in are amazing. They really try hard and they deal with turbulent situations well. Clearly there is training and commitment on behalf of the management to instruct and encourage along these lines. The bottom line is the place is 60 years old and it has seen better days. However, about a year ago they hired a new head manager and he is improving things dramatically. Building by building they are upgrading the rooms. If you see it as a place in transition, your experience will be a better one. The staff worked with me during a really difficult time in my life. They accommodated me under extenuating circumstances. I remain impressed with their care and attention to detail. I encourage you to realize that everyone really is doing the best they can and give them a chance. I stand with my 4 star rating. I believe this place will indeed surpass the resort it once was.
This place is badly in need of maintenance and updating. The towel bar in the bathroom fell off the wall, the bathroom door would not close easily because the striker was broken. It would be an easy fix. The paint was peeling from the ceramic tile in the bathroom. The TV wasnt a nice new flat screen. It was a big, heavy old 4:3 size. The furniture was mismatched. I think there are better options
Horrible hotel. Dirty carpet, water damaged walls. The bathtub had sand and hair in it when we checked in. One inch gap between the door and the floor so bugs could crawl in. Had to fight to get clean towels. It rained while we were there and the water leaked in soaking a part of the carpet. I called the front desk to informed them, they said they would send over maintenance right away, they never came. I informed the front desk about the leak when I checked out and the woman didnt even acknowledge what I said let alone apologize. DO NOT STAY HERE. One star is being way too generous for this dump.
The hotel is located right along with many others on Hotel Circle, right next to the I-8. We got a nice size room with two queen beds; one was located in a separate bedroom with a door. There was a very large dog in the room above us that made some noise in the evening but was quiet at night.
We stayed in room 811. The beds were very comfortable. The TV service was above average as far as hotels go. Excellent staff. I felt very welcome.
Visited the tavern for a late lunch/early dinner. Low key and unpretentious. Great food. Great service. Comfortable in a dive-bar sorta way.
I wasnt able to check in a room even though I had a reservation. I now know that I shouldnt arrive to my destination earlier than my check in time. They didnt have any vacancies but saw my struggles having a family and waived the cancellation fee so I can go on my way to finding another hotel. That was very helpful of them.
The location where the resort is located is perfect, near the freeway and close to many reustarants, shopping centers, more hotel options. The rooms are simple nothing fancy just right. They can work a little more on their service.
There were complications, both on the street(road work) and with the rented room. Bath was full of water and would not drain so we were upgraded to a family room, which was great, but the next day we had to move to another room that had s bath but no shower. Close to the freeway and would certainly consider it again... Maybe
Great place to stay. Pool is ok size. Our room had great air conditioning. All appliances worked well. Quiet and comfortable room. Bed was very comfortable. There was a full service restaurant next to hotel. Also a mini mart next to hotel.
WORST HOTEL EVER!!! I Have three days left here and cant wait to get out. PLEASE if you are vacationing DO NOT book at this place. I havent been able to sleep last 4 days from the Bike Gang that stays here all the time. Rooms are extremely old, nasty furniture and carpet, old-fashioned TV, toilet leaks and watter runs constantly on the tank, 20 years old spring mattress that I sink in, no fridge on the room, ice machine 5 mins walking from my room... I dont know where to stop. Oh, I have to mention that STAFF deserves 5 stars, they have been great from day one.
THE WORSE FRONT DESK CLERK CHRIS !!! The man he is stick mean rude nasty . He is not friendly. Maybe he have issues working the morning hrs who knows what is problems are . Please avoid him if you dont want to ruin your vacation!! He is the guy with glasses skinny. He acts stupid arrogant an experienced childish .. I understand you closing the place do not transfer another place until you train his ass . Because he would hurt your business very bad . Chris need to learn how strive and to create a great customer experience and make the guest comfortable there stay not chase them and talk to them any kind of way . I saw him yesterday may 31 2017 in morning talk to priest who was trying to asking questions about mail how he talk to him..
Ive stayed here on a few occasions over the last few years, each time thinking it will be better than the last. Sadly, this is never the case. Although youll be hard pressed to find a better rate in town, youll find the rooms to be a bit run down. Most have unusual smells (musty, if I have to put a word to it), at least one broken item (our last trip had a TV and A/C broken...we were given an alternate room), and an overall dated appearance. Ive never had an issue with the staff, with my past visit being the only exception (there were no towels in our room after we arrived from a full day of beach and museum visits, and when the front desk was notified, it took upwards of 45 minutes to get two (2) towels for the four members of my family. The next day, there were towels, not in the bathroom, but placed on one of the beds, and again, only two...with no wash cloths). If you have a few extra bucks, look elsewhere, otherwise you get what you pay for here.
The staff was great, very helpful. The room was okay, I slept well. The area near good food and near the Interstates to get to places.
For the price, its a good spot. Very pretty and feels secluded, even though its a stones throw from the freeway. One time we stayed here, there was a wedding being held in the courtyard. We watched it from our balcony, lol. Rooms could be cleaner.
Good service, good food. The lady was friendly and honest, as we placed an order she smiled and suggested the best of the menu. My patty melt burger was great tasting and loved its pure beef meat flavoring and quality, I will suggest friends and relatives to this restaurant.
Free parking but no continental breakfast. Staff is friendly and attentive. Beds and pillows are very comfortable and supportive. Place is old but mostly clean
I went to Mission Valley Resort for a seminar. The facility was a good size and very roomy. I ate at the diner that is located on the property and had excellent service. All in all I had a nice experience.
The room was very and had lots of space. The staff there was very nice and helpful. I will go here again
I gave 2 stars because the people above us had a toddler who jumped of the bed and ran back and forth continually for the three nights we were there. I stay at this hotel quite often and have never experienced anything as irritating as this. We contacted the front desk the first night but nothing changed. Disappointed but you cant beat the price so Ill stay there again. Its not for everyone though, its pretty run down but nice pool and great location.
Not a resort hotel at all. Standard motel room with 15 year old furniture and TV. The bed was comfortable and clean. The shower worked and they have direct tv. The AC worked well and didnt smell. So all my needs were met. The room had old carpeting with stains. The walls were chipped and in need of some paint. The bathroom tiles were damaged and there were no working ice machines. Clearly this place needs some TLC. However you get what you pay for and this was one of the cheaper places to stay in the area. Did not use the pools so no opinion on them.
Booked a non smoking room.. only to be welcomed by a heavy smell of cigarette smoke as we entered the room.. both bed covers were littered with cigarette burns.. THIS IS A NON SMOKING ROOM. Took a look in the bathroom only to find the paint used in the tub was coming off and left free on the bottom of the tub. .. was the room cleaned?Called the front desk to be told. . All our rooms are pretty much in the sane condition.. WAIT. ..WHAT???Manager moved us to another room, in better condition but more cigarette burns on the sheets, not to mention the cheap cabinets are peeling to the point that there was literally no paint left... Dont even get me started on the RATS.. yes RATS.. staff were rude and distracted...Will never stay here again
Nice pool, room amenities are not available. No fridge no microwave, phone dont work.hair dryer didnt work. Key card worked first two days then quit. Clean....just dont expect much.
For such an overpriced hotel the rooms were clean. It smelled like stale cigarettes in a non smoking room. The manager was rude and disrespectful when I asked for a cleaner room.
Rooms are a bit dated, and not very soundproof. Ice machine is broken, and the safe in our room was not working. Hotel is affordable, however, and free parking is a nice bonus. Would be nice if they added a microwave and fridge to the room.
Carpets really need to be changed! Its sometimes hard to breathe. Staff are great considering what they have to work with. Pool is nicely kept....but it is not a resort!
Overall, you get what you pay for. Clean, but not sparkling. You can tell that the hotel must of been quite a lady in her day. But now shes just a common hotel circle hotel. There is the rumor that law enforcement monitors the place for suspicious activitiy. While walking to my room, there were five police cruisers out front the building next to the one I was in. There were approximately five people sitting out front on the curb in cuffs while the cops were tossing tso rooms. I felt conflicted. I felt safe but also concerned for my safety. Ill be back, its a cheap place considering the area. Only two outlets in the rooms so bring your power strip if you got more then a cell phone and electric razor.
2 out of 5 Rooms ive stayed in were stenciled with cigarette smoke. Bed bugs in 1 room switched to another and it had black mold. Staff is decent but seem to have trouble overriding certain factors in regards to managment for that I offer a mediocre score at best for customer service. any room outside of building 4 is a malarkey hole. however the pool is nice during summer and the common area with 4 building is contemporary and could accommodate a lovely gathering.. scenery is landscaped with luscious pal.ms which I loved! ;)
Please disregard the 3.2 stars. Google needs to fix this!Mission Valley Resort is comprised of a hotel, restaurant, bar, and a mini-mart. The positive reviews come from the restaurant/bar. The negative reviews come from the actual hotel/resort.The morning/afternoon staff is very friendly and the pool is nice. The rooms are at the end of their lifespan and after speaking with the manager, they are just trying to hold out until the end of this year to remodel. That being said, this is not a place to take your wife or girl on a vacation~ I felt horrible as a man/husband for providing a place where the shower wont work, bed springs are shot, sink faucet doesnt work, fungus/mildew around the seals of the tub, phone disconnected, etc.Spend the extra $10/night and go elsewhere!
If I could rate this hotel any lower I would. Ill start off by when we arrived. We were never greeted at the entrance nor eye contact was made until we stood in front of them. They didnt ask us how our day/night was, nothing, no small talk whatsoever. They were actually rude when asked questions about the hotel. We were given our key and sent off to our room. The room looked as if it was on its last leg. We found a spider on the wall and a blood stain on the pillow. The bathroom looked terrible, spottings of different colored paintings, chipped tiles, the door had chips and the bathtub was just about on its last leg as well. We stayed as we arrived late and were not familiar with the area. When I checked out I wasnt greeted yet again nor asked how my stay was. Had she asked me I would have very well told her my experience, however, their customer service is so bad that they want to check you in and out as soon as possible.I wouldnt recommend this resort nor rate it a two star hotel. Youre better paying extra to sleep comfortable elsewhere.
The pictures online were perfection for 100.00 and we drove all night to end up in an out dated dirty room. Toilet wont flush, bath tub chipped, toilet paper filling holes, dingy bedding (online they were crisp white), cracked light covers, lumpy old mattress, air conditioning barely worked. Within 5 minutes we called and they asked if we wanted a refund like they were used to complaints. I should of known when I walked up to check in and there was gum all over the Terracotta flooring and fingerprints on the front entrance that no one could even wipe off to get guests. We left and canceled our 3 day stay.Frustrated from SF
Just picking up some family who was staying there for the week. They said it was nice but the hot water never actually got hot. Other than that, price was right.
I attended a professional event in the building. It was nice. A bit dated but clean and reasonable for the event.
Not everything in San Diego is beautiful. Should be $30 a night. This place is far from a resort. The first thing we noticed was the bathroom. The tiles where chipped and cracked. The plug for the sink was rusted and just sitting there at the bottom like it was broken. The tub was the worst. Stained brown and yellow. In the room the remote want connected to the TV. Summer lights did not work. There are some things that were positive about this place. They had two beds in here which were much needed after a 10 hour drive. We are checking out this morning and going somewhere else to finish our stay in San Diego.Sorry, Mission Valley Resort. Improve the place and maybe youll get better reviews.
I am glad this place is closed! I booked this hotel 2 birthdays ago, but solely for the location and price. I had no idea how horrible it was going to be.When my boyfriend and I got there, we checked in and went to our room. The hotel was under renovation at the time, and they had put us in one of the older rooms. When we entered, it smelled of mold and the air was humid. The bathroom floor was wet and the bedsheets were damp! We went back to the front desk to get another room, so they gave us a slightly better room. Then we went out for the afternoon. We come back to the hotel and its 10pm, we were tired and ready for bed. As we walk towards our room, there are lights on. Thats when we realized that other guests are in the room we were supposed to stay in. Double booked room. We did get another room, but it was after dealing with horrible staff members. It was the worst hotel stay that I have ever experienced! Never again!
The room itself id rate 2 stars.... upon walking in i was immediately welcomed by a familiar scent, the tv was on and there was literally a half smoked j in a cup on the table.Pretty sure some ppl would have flipped out in such a situation, me not so much.....The price almost bumped it up to 3 stars. For the price and location what could I expect? Honestly a little more than this. The bathroom was clean enough but there didnt seem to be as much cleaning done in the rest of the room.I Would possibly stay here again if only for the price but Id definitely spend a few bucks more to try n stay somewhere slightly cleaner. The liquor store, dinner, and bar on the property while not great were pretty convenient. So even tho Its pretty grimy in some parts on this occasion it did the job.... But just barely.
Basic, but all you need. My favorite is the no hassle parking. Reasonably priced as well.
This hotel was a nightmare. We had no remote to our TV and then when we went to call the front desk, we realized we also had no phone. We were all the way at the end building and so we drove to ask about the remote. When we talked with the front desk staff, they told us that we couldnt get a phone because they didnt have any extras. On top of all that they informed us that even if they did have extra phones, the phone line was broken so we couldnt get one anyways. The water in the shower has absolutely no pressure. It was like little rain drops were coming out. It was so bad, I could barley wash what shampoo I had in my hair out. The roof had a leak in it, and it had a big spot on the roof where you could see the water damage. Over half of the power outlets in the room didnt work. There was no fridge, or microwave. The beds were NOT two queens like we had booked, they were more like fulls. I will definitely not being staying in this hotel again. And wouldnt recommend it to anyone!
A friend stayed there. Stopped by to pick them up. If you paid me I would only consider staying there. Just needs and update ... For real
The rooms are tiny and everything looks outdated. The beds feel old and you can feel the springs with every move you make. The bed frames are set up for queen size mattresses but they have a double mattress so the metal bed frame sticks out further than the mattress causing a hazard. There was ants in the room when we walked in. Some websites say there is 2 pools but one of them is full of sand so there is really only one. Also, the website says free breakfast but according to the front desk thats only if you book online. Overall, the worst hotel stay ever!
We booked the hotel for about $100 or so dollars. Breakfast was not included. There is a pool and jacuzzi. The room was out dated such as the old carpet, well-worn spring mattresses, sheets, thin pillows,a tube tv, a vent that wasnt working, the outlets that would not hold our plugs and there werent alot of them. The good thing was that air conditioner worked well, there was hot water and the location was near restaurants and stores. Other things to note was that were spiders in the bathroom and hairs on top of the bed. Also, all ice machine were out of service. Oh parking was free.
Everything looks like it 15 years old, and needs new paint. The TV only got one channel, there was absolutely no parking near our room. When we made coffee in the morning the handle coffee pot broke, the towel rack fell off the wall on one side, the bathroom sink shot water everywhere but where it was supposed to. There was trash on the table, a glass of water and, the iron was out on the floor, from where someone had checked in and decide not to stay after being in the room for a few minutes ( I dont blame them) at least thats what we were told by the staff. When we made our complaints to the front desk they took a whopping 8 dollars off. Worst hotel Ive stayed in for the price we paid, I wouldnt recommend staying.
The staff were great...down hill from there. I didnt mind the dated furniture or the old run down look of the bathroom, because of low prices. But...the cleanliness of the rooms were beyond dirty !! Try bed bugs and waxy dirt on surfaces.. and a carpet that could second as a petri dish !! The Jacuzzi was a cesspool and black mold was everywhere. I was having my home tented for termites. I would rather take my chances then reside at the Mission Valley RESORT
Wait staff was excellent! Wonderful food. Nice atmosphere
Really cool place. Good prices for rooms.
Nice bar with pool tables. Clean decent room. Restaurant next door. Liquor store next door.
When I arrived to check in there were 4 people in line in front of me. They all complained about their room. Rooms were dirty and smelled and asked for a refund. While this was going on 2 different couples walked in and stated they have been waiting for towels for a number of hours. With this information I still decided to check in. The room I was given was very dated, had a bad smell spider webs on the walls, bath tub was dirty, there was iron burn in the carpet. All that was needed was a chalk outline of a dead body. Needless to say. I did not stay
To call this place ghetto would be unfair to the ghetto. My line of work takes me to many hotels and resorts, and this is the first time Ive felt actual fear for my safety. As we checked in, every single person we saw looked like they had either just gotten out of prison or were on their way in - druggies and hookers and thugs. There was no elevator to the 2nd floor, so as Im lugging our luggage up the stairs, my pregnant wife carries our 1 year old daughter up ahead to open the room, and before she makes it to the door, some lady walks her and starts *threatening and insulting her*. When I got into the room, my wife was literally shaken to the core - she couldnt believe she just had her life threatened by a stranger while she was carrying our child. The room itself was complete garbage. It looked like it was built in the 1970s. The TV was the old box kind from the 1980s. No refrigerator. The handle came off the toilet when it was flushed. It was the most disgusting, desolate place I ever had the misfortune of stepping into. I was on the phone immediately with Travelocity and they relocated me to another hotel, but I had made up my mind that we were leaving, even if I had to eat the cost of the room because you couldnt pay me enough money to stay there, let alone keep my family there. If youre not a drug dealer, a prostitute, or a pimp, you have no business staying at this place.
Rooms smell like ass and feet!Rooms are old and outdated smell like ass and stinky feet, also a weird musty unfamiliar smell that cant be identified. Carpets are old and so filthy I wouldnt let my dog walk on it, I had to wear flip flops the entire time because if I didnt my feet felt so dirty like it had a layer of muck on them. You can tell by looking at the carpet it has not ever been shampooed but at this point its probably best to strip it and replace it. The ac unit looked like it was from the 70s and was hanging off the wall and coming off, the walls are dirty and stained as well. My bed spread and pillows were stained and looked like they needed to be washed. We used disinfectant spray and sprayed the room but the spray couldnt get rid of the smelliness but at least it killed any lingering bacteria. The furniture also outdated and the TV looked like my old tv from the 90s when I was in college with only a few channels. We tried to get another room but it was the same and just as bad. Take it from all these bad reviews they speak the truth and stay somewhere else where they value cleanliness.
This was the rudest, nasty hotel desk clerk I have ever met any where in the world. Pouring down rain when we arrived but because we were wet this hosts (?) refused to even look on the computer for our reservation telling us there was NONE THEN POINTED AT HER SIGN SAY THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE TO ANYONE. They then attempted to charge the CC as a no show highly BLATANT DISCRIMATORY PRATICES AT THIS PROPERTY!!! HOTEL CIRCLE IS SAN DIEGO HAS MANY FINE HOTELS YOU WILL BE DOING YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR TO CHOOSE ANY OF THEM. The major part of the fight started because they have an unpublished policy that they will accept CC only NO DEBIT CARDS OR CASH.
The beds were uncomfortable, no refrigerator or microwave, it took 4 hours to get towels. The carpet was dirty, and the air conditioning leaked. Never again
The room was spacious and there was water provided. It was a little hard to find as you have to walk through the tavern but the parking is free. No wifi that I know of but plenty of space outside for breaks.
Good price but needs a major renovation. Area seems rundown but had no issues
Very friendly staff, needs an upgrade, water pressure was weak but the room was clean. Good value for hotel circle, would stay again...
There is a bed, a bathroom and not much else. No phone, no alarm clock, no working door key reader. The internet is bad too. I only recommend for the purpose of last minute plans.
I came here with my father and brother for a sporting event in SD. The room is small and dirty, but it worked for us for one night. The staff was super nice and responsive when we called about a burned out lightbulb. Heres the real deal about this place: if you need a place to party the night before a Chargers game and there are no women with you (or super prissy guys), this place will work for you. There is a liquor store literally attached to the main hotel building, so that was a mega bonus for us! There is also a small bar and a full restaurant here as well. Repeat, this place is old and dirty, but if you are not picky, it is OK.
Worst everything ever. Bathroom was discusting. Had ants in room. Property was overgrown and not well taken care of compared to the hotels in the area
Great place for a staycation! Nice pools, good food, and comfortable rooms.
The place is good for the price we paid. The rooms are clean. They have pool and jacuzzi though we never used it. The hotel is just 6-7miles from downtown which is definitely a plus point as u can hire uber and not it wont cost u a fortune.
Currently staying at this hotel, horrible, horrible, horrible! There is absolutely nothing I can say good about this place! TV doesnt work, locks dont work half the time, phone in room doesnt work, toilet wont flush well (have to flush 2-3 times to flush pee even) towel bar fell off the wall as soon as we hung a wet towel on it! Shower curtain rod is about to fall down! They installed new cable last week and didnt even let you know it was being done, woke up my boyfriend who works at night with a do not disturb on the door and demanded to come in room! They didnt program the new cable! Restaurant sucks and the little store is so expensive its worth a drive to target to pay less! Room was not clean when we checked in! If I could give this place 0 stars I would and we have to stay here another week! Plus most of the front desk staff are rude! Also only one of the plug ins works and we have to prop the plug up so it doesnt fall out! This place is a DIVE DONT STAY HERE!
Best hotel for price . Front desk was very helpful in helping me get the room I wanted. This is the second time I go to this hotel and probably wont be the last time I choose this place 5 out of 5
Rooms are basic.Wi-Fi not good.nice pool, hot tub,bar and diner are great.also has liquor store and food store.
The resort is very old. The room was very old. Carpet was badly stained. Bathroom sink and tub faucets were both leaking. Mattress was typical of an old hotel, extremely soft. The location was good, but, otherwise, it was not a good stay.
I wasnt impressed at all! We had a crappy room, poor quality beds, a light that wouldnt turn off, old worn out carpet, etc. If your looking for a cheap, poor quality room, this place is for you.
Facilities are a bit dated but still very nice and well organized. The bar below the small conference room was great.
There are a lot nicer hotels for the price. We stayed in the 800 building and it was falling apart. The pool next to our room was filled with dirt.
IT WAS NICE AND CLEAN AND OFFERED HYGIENE LIKE RAZORS AND TOOTHBRUSHES ECT... ALSO SHUTTLE SERVICE TO VARIOUS LOCATIONS...
Great view, hotel needs work, poor maintenance many exterior lights blown out, ac in room not working well, you could tell that this hotel once was the top choice, employees are nice and helpful. We upgraded to a room with a balcony and was able to sit on it in the evening and enjoy the great weather.
Good amount of parking bad friendly staff. Has a 24 hour mini mart. But rooms were a bit crowded old CRT of the side not directly in front of the bed so it was a bit awkward. Bed was uncomfortable and flat pillows
Resort was nice; bar with food, pool and darts. I went for a gathering in a convention room; they were nicely sized and opened up to a spacious courtyard next to the pool area.
This the most gehtto hotel I ever seen. I have been to many places in 3rd world countries and I have not seen worst than this Hotel. It was a scary experience for me and my family. This place is nightmare. I shouldnt even give it a one star.
The staff was very kind and offered us a mini fridge free of charge to store.my breastmilk in. However, the hotel could use a fresh coat.of paint in the rooms. Overall I give it 3 out of 5 stars
DO NOT book a room here at the Mission Valley Inn! #noconcernforguests I booked a room with a c/c online for my daughter. When she arrived at the hotel at 10:30 @ night needing a place to stay, because she did not have my credit card, she was turned away. I got on the phone with the night clerk & was told that the room was only held & not paid for. The next morning I discovered that my credit card was indeed charge! I called the hotel this morning madder than a wet hen! I demanded that I be immediately remebursed. They said it would take several days. I was told that the policy of the hotel could be changed. Basically, it appears management does not allow for their employees to have a good mind set to accommodate guests or potential guests. Dont book this Mission Valley Inn They could care less about you, or your family and friends. My exhausted daughter had to sleep in her car.
DO NOT STAY HERE! Weve had our share of bad experiences but this one takes the cake. Desperately in need of renovation. It should be a crime that they charge as much as they do per night. Its so bad that I wouldnt stay again even if the room was compd. Keep searching, or sleep in your car. Youd be better off!
The staff was amazing and friendly. Mission valley is an older resort, but its perfect for a quick, inexpensive stay!
Extremely dated, weve been in 3 different rooms and something is wrong in all of them. ALL of the rooms smells like stale smoke. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Basic suites have old TVs, not flat screen. And believe me when I say BASIC - no mini-fridge either! Only good for cheap sex only cheapened further by the cheap hotel.
The food was good the atmosphere was great it was there for a wedding reception. The hotel needs to do a renovation to update its two current times but other than that an average hotel with good food.
