Our family had a recent 6-night stay at the Bahia resort hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much! The private beach, the cabanas, the fun playground, the heated pool, the beautiful sunsets, the tennis courts, the daily complimentary cookies and juice in the lobby, all made a great stay for us. Cleanliness is a top priority for us, and even more so during the pandemic, and I think the hotel staff put much effort into keeping everyone as safe as possible (lots of cleaning and sanitizing)!. Staff seemed compliant with wearing face masks. While the property in general is dated, the staff puts all effort in keeping it clean and pleasant for their guests. Our room was very clean upon arrival, and even though housekeeping services were very limited, the housekeeping staff was VERY responsive to any requests we had during our stay. We personally did not like the food on the property, and it seemed a little overpriced, however, there were other food options within walking distance. Their complimentary parking on the property makes it easier to rent a car during your stay (no additional cost for parking!) and the hotel is conveniently located within 10 minutes of other food options, shops, and sightseeing. I do think the hotel property can get pretty crowded during high season, since there are a lot of rooms, however, it was pretty empty during our stay.
I loved this place. It was gorgeous. A real tropical get away that is needed during this time in the world. Our room was clean and had a lovely view of the bay. It was upstairs but there are plenty of rooms that are wheelchair accessible. They have lots to do on the bay. When this pandemic is over I am sure there will be much more.
I absolutely loved staying here. The resort is beautiful, the pool is nice, the restaurants are great and the location is perfect. We were able to walk to the beach and not have to drive at all. I personally loved the cabanas they have on the bay, it was perfect if you didnt want to be around all the people on the beach. I will definitely be back!!!
Bahia Resort, with its private beaches on Mission Bay, is a great resort to visit to escape the daily grind. I loved the private beach. There are several cabanas (that are first come, first served) that you can claim for the day for a relaxing time enjoying the weather and the water. Even with the current conditions of Covid-19, their staff is working hard to provide the best service possible. Many of their amenities are still open, such as the pool and bike/kayak rentals. Their staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. All staff were wearing masks and they even leave a package in your hotel room with masks and sanitizing spray just in case you need them. The food at their restaurant and bar is a bit price, but its SoCal pricey, so not too crazy. They currently have two takeaway options, room service, or you can make a reservation for outdoor patio dining from their restaurant. The first night we were there, they were having a movie night on the beach. Theres free wi-fi, and its pet friendly, too! The rooms are a tiny bit outdated, but not too bad. Its within walking distance to Mission Beach and lots of great restaurants and other activities. Its also just a few minutes drive to Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Sea World, Old Town, and Mission Hills. Overall, we had an excellent stay and hope to come back soon.
Check in was a little rocky as the power was out (not the fault of the resort) and they did compensate for that. Very friendly service from staff. We had a Bayview suite which has a good layout, little kitchen area, separate bedroom with 2 beds and living area with hideaway bed sofa and loveseat and sliding glass door that opens to the public side of the beach. Very convenient location on the bay walking distance to beaches and restaurants. The rooms could use an update but were still very nice and the bedroom definitely needs its own A/C in the summer months but the room did have a tower fan in it so it wasnt too bad. The kids loved the rescue seals. The grounds are very well kept and we loved the private beach side of resort and the beautiful plants in the garden area with a small pond and bridge, great picture opportunities there.Ive seen a lot of complaints on noise and bums and that was not an issue while we were there.
Not a bad place to stay very nice scenery the thing they dont tell you when you book is there not having all of the amenities open right now including the Riverboat rides the jacuzzi is not open tried to take a shower in the morning and had no hot water pretty nice scenery around the resort and they also have to seals there that are rescue seals in their own enclosure that are pretty neat to look at food at the restaurant is okay but you cant buy a drink at the bar and less you are ordering food with it rooms are fairly nice
Room was AMAZING.. So quiet and comfortable. Really busy weekend but the staff did everything in their power to help us with any questions we had. They really took their time to answer our questions. Food at the cafe was wonderful. The private beach area was busy but the Ocean is a block away. Will definitely be returning. Thank you for Honoring HEALTHCARE and Fire Fighters. We needed the relaxation.
We have been here 3 times this 2020. They are always cleaning and wearing masks. Perfect for little ones. They have the biggest flat screens in all of their rooms we have ever seen! I would 10/10 recommend for families and even couples. Never noisy. Always comfortable and relaxing stay!
Positive: Cannot beat this location
As a San Diego native, I know a lot of people travel to California to experience recreational marijuana. While Im OK with the use of marijuana, the smell was overwhelming inside and throughout the resort. It was beyond reasonable use and other guests I talked with that had young kids felt the same way.In addition, there were many rooms breaking COVID-19 health and safety protocols by having large parties with several dozen people all in one room and attended by non-hotel guests. There were many rooms having parties like this at the resort. Some guest I spoke with told me they had called and complained, but the resort failed to stop the parties. This put my familys health and safety at risk. I hold the Bahia Resort responsible to enforce their own health and safety protocols that is advertised on the website. The Bahia Resort fails to protect their guests. Because of this I would not recommend your resort as it is a party resort with no real enforcement of COVID-19 precautions.
Nice atmosphere, nice pool, private beach restaurant on premises staff very friendly and helpful, rooms could use a touch up and since theres a parking spot directly in front of the room i was a little disappointed that someone kept parking in it but overall a very nice place to stay. Any issue we had was immediately responded to, would stay again.
Positive: Location Negative: Old room style
My room was in the back corner 2nd floor and the Bay view was glorious! Large spacious room. The cabana on the beach was comfortable and cozy at night. You can roll the shade. Visor up or down to control how much sun or wind you need. Lovely place to stay!
Enjoyed my stay would love to stay again with a group of friends to enjoy the facilities (when the Covid scare is over). I will for sure stay there again!
We just wanted a little weekend getaway in town, and this was perfect. We had a great view of Santa Barbara Cove. I loved getting breakfast from the Airstream out front, the iced latte was really good, and the egg and cheese sandwich was awesome (except its almost $9). They have two rescue seals next to the Airstream, theyre super cute. The service was really friendly. Great place to stay if you like watersports. Plus easy access to Mission Bay Walk, and about 5-10 min walk to the ocean.
The Bahia, big and beautiful! We rented a King suite which has a kitchenette and a patio that basically opens up to the public side of the beach. I loved the fact that we are able to park our personal vehicle in front of our room and our other car parked in back within view. The suite was spacious and clean and we loved the huge flat screen TV in living area. Although the rooms are pricey, it is definitely worth it AND they offer a 20% discount to returning guests which we are taking advantage of in a few weeks. The only drawback to the place is the road in and out. The gates lock after a certain time so, you find yourself driving the wrong way, against traffic, to get back out through the front entrance.
Hotel seems very nice, but not at the price paid. The roof in our room was poorly fixed. AC unit is loud. We needed more pillows as the ones provided werent enough. Spiderweb takes me to believe it wasnt properly cleaned or at least no attention was put into it. Carpet line was damaged and if you arent wearing shoes, you can feel something pinch you. Another spiderweb was found in bathroom. There was ONLY ONE staffer who was rude. Everyone else was very nice and courteous. If you dont have beach front, you might have a Public Parking lot right in front. I thought I was paying for somewhat of beach front but that was MY mistake. At a lesser price, Id stay here again. But $700 for 2 nights? Nope.
This place is phenomenal- we chose this place for our children and it did not disappoint, great children activities daily, private beach, 2 adorable rescue seals, and great food on site. Not a far walk from Mission Beach either! The only negative we encountered was it got pretty loud at night, but that wouldnt change our mind to stay again. Huge shout out to Ricardo for the incredible customer service upon check in. 5 stars!
Has to be the friendliest staff ever out of any Resort Ive stayed! Whatever they had to do they did it! They even allowed us to turn the outside shuffleboard area into a dance floor! The rooms, restaurant, pool and private beach are more than sufficient. I loved my stay. Will visit again!
Been staying at this hotel for 2 days and decided to extend our stay already. The staff is friendly and the manager has done a phenomenal job to make sure our stay is pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel especially with the bay view rooms. Perfect for families and couples. The best thing is it’s dog friendly too.
Relaxing. Beautiful views.Delicious food.Great customer service. You felt welcomed right from the start at check in and all throughout your stay. Will stay here again!
I like how close it is to the beach. And how clean the hotel was
Positive: Everything. This hotel was an amazing experience. So happy for this recommendation. Negative: None
A run down place. Smelly room with tiny bathroom, clogged sink, had to call the plumber to get it fixed. The window AC cannot handle the humidity. Bed sheets and other clothes felt wet during my stay. Definitely not a resort. The location was perfect tho! Open the sliding door and you are on the beach! Food and drinks at the restaurant are good too.
Property was very lush and pretty. Plenty of chairs available by the water. Rooms were nice and the bed is comfortable. My one strike was the lack of bike rentals they have. Dont advertise bike rentals when you only have a maximum of 4 bikes to rent. All were rented for the week and nothing else to choose from unless you went with 4 seats. Disappointing.
Positive: Location; grounds, and watching the seals. Negative: Kitchenette was empty...no utensils, no glasses...no doubt because of COVID-19.
Great location! 10 min walk to the beach. Slightly dated property but room was nicely updated. Nice pool! Expensive restaurant. Overall a very good experience and we would go back because it’s a good value.
I have mixed emotions about this one....The bed was hard, the feather pillows were not soft. There was cockroach in our room on our second night. And not like a water beetle one, the mid size brown kind. The water pressure in the shower was horrible. I tried to adjust it but that only made it worse. Now lets face it, we didnt come here for the bed or the shower. We came here for the location. Its beautiful. I loved that we were able to step out onto the Bay right from our room. Small dogs were welcome. There were rentals, excetera on site which was really convenient. The customer service overall was just shy of excellent. (I have to admit Im a tough critic because I have a hospitality background)
Very bad experience. The carpets were stained and damp, there was a mosquito in the room and shower head had rust and mildew. Very disappointing because it doesn’t look like the pictures. We had to check out after one night because it was unbearable. When we let the front desk know, they didn’t try to make it better but instead said nothing and let us check out early!!
My daughter and her new husband had a virtual wedding at the Bahia Resort due to Covid 19. It was very difficult not being with the couple on this very special day. But the Bahia Resort helped to make it very special. Scott Hartman the manager, Aaron the assistant manager, Twila in catering. The front desk was also wonderful. What a great staff. Thank you!!!
Great place to spend time with family and friends. Very professional and friendly staff. Will be back for sure. I would recommend this place!!
Its a nice clean well kept local resort. Theres a lot of history here if you care to investigate. Santee ca. Was the only city in southern ca. Not to sign up to the central valley project.
Right on the beach, Its majestic in the early morning, people just need to pick up their own trash.
Had great family getaway, everything was excellent, parking is a little tight but it wasn’t a major problem. We will be back.
Positive: Everything Negative: Nothing
Positive: Car was broken into in hotel parking lot. Negative: Security lacked. Car broken into.
Positive: The room was huge, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were very polite and professional.
Beautiful location clean hotel. We stayed in a deluxe suite. The air conditioning didnt reach the bedroom. We walked right out to the beach, but the WALK THRU and drive thru gates are locked at 6pm. My room key didnt open them. We had to walk all the way to the front lobby to get back into the resort. Room service food was excellent. Room was very clean. Staff was friendly. We will be back.
Great two night stay all staff where helpful everything is writhing 15 min. We had a free movie night with free pop corn and sodaMy daughter loved the private beach and sea lions. Plenty mini markets around convenient location
What a wonderful weekend. The bed was so comfy. The view of the bay was beautiful. We were happy to receive champagne upon out arrival. Thank you Donna for such an amazing weekend! Also the gift shop has good prices and beautiful things to choose from. Room service was nice, although it took awhile for the dishes to be picked up ...but...the birds enjoyed that.....the pool was crowded so I didnt go, but the water must have been nice, the people in it seemed very comfortable.Masked worn by ( or not) was a problem to me.
Positive: The hotel location was ideal for us. We enjoyed the hotels proximity to everything. Negative: No negative comments to report.
The front is beautiful, and its located near a lot of fun activities. Youre quite literally surrounded by beaches. I never used the amenities because I was out and about most of the time. Maybe that means I shouldve just booked a Hotel and not a Resort. Anyways...The 2 stars I took away were for:- Pests (spiders in the bathroom)- Fitted sheet kept coming undone, which was pretty annoying when trying to go to sleep- Bed just not comfortable in general, at least for me. Always woke up super sore- Confusing resort and incidental fees (per night basis) which I wasnt used toNone of these things are really deal breakers. Its fine. But I probably wont be coming back.
Great customer service, I had a issue with partying neighbors so I went to the front deck to ask about being possibly relocated, not only were we relocated but upgraded at our same rate ! Very pleasant experience .
Positive: I loved the sanitation kits in the room and the beach. Negative: There was a lot of hair in the shower and there was no hot water.
Positive: Location Negative: Rooms need to have extra bags available for trash especially at this time when housekeeping does not come each day.
Employee Christian was so helpful and attentive always with a smile on his face! GM Jim Chester worked very hard to accommodate our large parties requests and we graciously appreciate that! The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the reservationists when you call and in person at the front desk could definitely use a lot of more help/training. Make sure to be very specific about the room you want and your party’s needs. Room cleanliness could have been a lot better too.The property grounds were so beautiful, beaches very well maintained! Kids absolutely loved the aquarium and being able to freely cruise on their bikes and scooters all over! I didn’t try the restaurants or bars but other people in our party did and said everything was fantastic!
Great staff prices are a lil high for non updated rooms. It is a good place to stay.
Positive: We had a great time filled with exciting events around the hotel.
Stayed here one night on Saturday. Beds werent comfortable. Staff here is super friendly, some staff members dont know their own resort. I asked a staff for directions to shore so we could go to boat, and he had to call another staff member. If you are renovating this place, consider upgrading the beds.
Positive: Location and amenities are great. Walkable to all attractions and plenty to do on the grounds.
Service is terrible. You call to get extra towels or blankets or anything for the kitchen and the wait time is 40 minutes to an hour. The left side of the beach across from the dock is never cleaned and the sand is full of trash. Rooms smell old and awful, they clearly havent been remodeled in decades. Not worth the price they charge. Smells like weed all over the resort. Just disgusting. Workers are not friendly.
I reccomend the Marina Suite, I stood on the 2nd floor with a balcony over looking the marina. Resort restaurant was good with fair prices . Room was large & clean. Staff was friendly & professional. Pool was deep & well kept with a bar offering beverages an food.Pic was taken from balcony.
WARNING!!!!Can’t express the poor service I received from Bahia Resort this was suppose to be a reflection day for myself and my sons because my brother just passed away and I came home to billing issues. I contacted the front desk and a young lady answered( I wish I would have taken her name) blamed the entire issue on booking.com stating they did not receive the payment. When I arrived I informed the front desk of my reservation and swiped my card and paid for the stay so I don’t understand how this is a booking.com issue when I paid at the front desk upon arrival. So instead of helping me with this issue she rudely directed me to booking.com and said there’s nothing they can do about it. Thank you Bahia what was suppose to be a relaxing day turned my account into negative. My family and I can’t afford trips because of funeral expenses so that’s why we were only able to afford 1 day and came home to a mess I hope this issue gets corrected and no family has the same experience I did.
We arrived on Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Check-in time was supposed to be 4 pm, I had requested early check-in. When we arrived they told us no early check-in. That’s for sure. We didn’t get to our room until after 4:30.Then, no housekeeping the next day. This meant I had to call to request towels and trash pickup. No toiletries or coffee service for the second day. This is a nice property and the room was perfect, but customer service sucked!
October 31, 2020 our vehicle was vandalized around 1am. Security of this property is very upsetting when protecting guest and their transportation needs at the Bahia Resort. No apologies were given at all from front desk after the incident, and seemed to ignore the whole situation. Police officers that were called to report were astonished how the security team at bahia resort failed to do their duty on that property and find the suspects on camera
Vacation in January with two small children (4&2) was really great. We swam every night in pool/hot spa. Our room was excellent with a mini kitchen, two queens and pull out couch. No view from room, but the area was quiet when out on lanai. This is situated on a peninsula in the Mission Bay. Mission Beach is close enough to walk or a short drive. Lots of food places in Mission Beach area. Near to SeaWorld. We missed our chance to ride on the Bahia Belle, but its included in stay with seasonal hours. Oh! And the rescue seals are so cute. Fun to sit and watch them.
Love this place!! All the pictures are right on, its beautiful. The staff is amazing, rooms are clean, and food is good at the restaurant.
I absolutely loved the private beach area... the public side was super crowded. The room was very nice all though it wasnt the room I thought i had reserved. Tip, when reserving the Bay front rooms ask for bottom floor. Because they do not specify that there is 2 floors and it looks like youre getting the bottom floor but you might not be.
Very clean hotel with nice staff. Every one had on masks, social distancing was in place. The rooms were very clean, a few little things missing like the extra pillows, blankets and paper/pen but I didnt mind. There was also a Covid kit in the room with 2 mask, hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes. I will stay there again.
Good decent place. Reasonable pricing.Had resort fee of $25 per day.Pros:Close to many tourist attractions and has a restaurant and bar with good food.Very close to Sea worldCheck-in and check-out was smooth.Good staffHas patio with furnitureCons: The spa is not located in the same resort and is available in the another sister resort.Parking space is limited, we never got a space in front of our room.Rooms have a old ambience and do not have cutlery except few glasses.
Great spot nothing to complain about. Its on the bay great view an on the west side of the hotel is Mission Beach a big hang out for us locals.
Trash. Private beach had bums sleeping on it and anyone can just walk off of Mission Beach Blvd onto the property. The rooms would have been decent but had paper thin walls and doors so we had to listen to partying and babies crying and dogs barking all night. Sunday morning there was trash every where from the parties. There was even human feces at the top of the stairs when we went to leave. None of the on site restaurants offered vegan or allergy free options (not even a bowl of fruit!). The ONLY thing this place has going for it is that is about two blocks to the real beach, real food and rentals that cost half the price. Skip the resort fees and try for an Airbnb.
Very nice patio for breakfast, my server Jean was very nice and attentive..
Positive: Rooms were nice and clean and very spacious loved the private beach Negative: everything was perfect
The bay side was really nice. All family friendly except for (2) ladies feeling that they needed to take turns twerking & posing in front of all of the families. Actually they didnt even think or respect what they were doing. Must have been trailer trash. Everyone was just laughing at them and they didnt have a clue... Other than that it was a beautiful day nice clean area and well back!!
Expensive but nice place and accommodating. The negative aspect that I have been seeing though for the past couple of years is that lots of seedy people hang around the public parking lot now right outside of the hotel. Not very safe feeling or appealing
I used to be in the Hospitality industry, and I can tell that staff and Management really care about there guests, my stay was 10 days, all great experience, fresh maintained and very clean rooms, location is the best, walk in distance from Mission Beach, and also hotel got there own private bay beach will definitely come back here any time I come back to California
Positive: It had its own private beach! Negative: There was only one paddle boat and it was inoperable. Honestly for the amount of guests at the hotel, there should have been more then one paddle boat.
1st of all I would like to say good words for Vanni (head of the front desk) she is amazing. Vanni helped us check in and we were so thankful for her help. We arrived very early before check in and she help us get in early. During the whole period we had few issues, but it was treated well by Vanni and Erin, We enjoyed our stay at your hotel and that was mostly coz of Vannis excellent customer service. Thank you
This is the worst hotel to stay at if you dont smoke weed, party and play loud music till 2am...the smell of smoke seeps through the old balcony doors.. Definitely do not stay in the 600 buildings you will not be able to enjoy your room..I wanted to leave my vacation early because of all the chaos... One positive the staff is nice and friendly
I Love love this place...good for family or friends to get togethers great staff and food .Are three days staycation was beautiful
Very nice quiet hotel staff was friendly view of the bay and the roller coaster in the background was beautiful
Our favorite place to stay in San Diego. The rooms are a little dated, but ample and this is one of the best pieces of real estate in Southern California. Very convenient location, walking to everything. Good food in the restaurants, nice pool, beautiful beach.
Positive: Great Place
We love it here! So tropical and the staff is super uber friendly and helpful!
Great location, great private beach area. Within short walking distance to restaurants, shops, and Mission Beach. Or just stay at the resort, they have everything you need.
One of the best places Ive stayed at in years their Suites on the beach are the ultimate
The overall hotel was nice and everyone was friendly for the most part. However, I paid extra for a bay view suite and wont be doing that again. We stayed from 6/26/20 through 6/28/20. Our room was #623 on the second floor. The view was obstructed by large palm trees but what really frustrated me is that our room was right on the public beach and we could hear everything going on at the beach below. Though our door was closed, we could hear people talking as if it were completely open. It didnt seem to latch properly and there was absolutely no sound being blocked. Additionally, some jerks decided to light off fireworks throughout the night on both nights we stayed. When I say throughout the night, I mean 11pm and later, therefore, I was woken up several times. I called the front desk and they supposedly had their security look into it but it continued which Im assuming is because they have no control over the public beach. When checking out, I was asked how my stay was and I mentioned the noise. I was told there wasnt anything they could do about the noise on the public beach and I didnt push the issue further. However, that answer does not suffice for the fact that the room had no sound proofing whatsoever. Had this been the cheapest room, I wouldnt have been as upset but I feel that I paid significantly more to have the crappiest room locationwise in the hotel. Because of this, I dont think Ill be back.
Beautiful views at every angle.. customer service is awesome! Lots of activities to do. Kitchen stocked with everything you would need to cook.Private beach is AMAZING!Pool side grill and adult/kids drinks.. plus mostly free arcade for the kiddos.Tangier bar is delicious!
Wonderful Staycation! Staff was awesome, so friendly and helpful.
Fantastic service from everyone. Perfect location. Good pool area. Lots to offer. Free parking. Walk right to the beach in less than 5 minutes
Place was old view was very bad for what i paid for. too much palm trees and cant see bay on 4th floor. food service was great, front desk was ok, parking sucks.
Sorry excuse for a resort. Find parking at night was horrible. Pretty sure they have more rooms than parking spots. Hallway to the room was filthy and we had to call house keeping each time we needed coffee or towels because they would only give us a days worth at a time. Want a cocktail? Too bad you need to order something from the menu like 14 dollar pancakes. Next time Ill stay at the Hyatt.
Run down and noisy. AC cannot handle temps and humidity. Reserved garden view room, got bay view, but boy was that a let down. “Bay view” faces a public parking lot with bums, hippies and drunks every day/night of our stay. The tower buildings are really noisy and we didn’t get one night of good sleep. Beds are also way too soft to be healthy.Staff is just clueless and doesn’t even know about details of the resort, e.g. where and how many elevator there are, when a manager is available etc.we will not come back again!
This place is def a hidden gym, these are the views from my king sweet... the place was built in the 60s but the remodel is legit affordable and tons of things to do
It was a very nice trip enjoyed with my husband, family, & friends,
Positive: Very clean and very welcoming. Kid friendly Negative: There wasnt really anything I didnt like .
The staff was amazing & the resort is GORGEOUS! Its also very family friendly
Stayed here last week and was told location was prime but a bit dated. Decided to finally come out and check it out.Venue - Dated as I was told but renovated and clean.Pool - Good size pool, pretty deep I believe 10ft on the deep end, lots of chairs and clean.Rooms - Room layout isnt the greatest, carpets dirty leaving socks or feet black, sheets could be replaced, toilet seet was missing a screw, but other than that well kept up.Amenities - Trailer food truck and restaurant in premises with good food, rentals available in front of hotel for bikes, boats, paddleboards etc.Service - Great friendly service.Parking - Great if it you and maybe an extra car, but limited for gues.Views - Great amazing views from the room and around the bay.Prices - A lil on the higher side but location and views make up for it.Location - Prime with short distance to Sea World, walking distance to restaurants, arcade, parks etcOverall if the outside was updated and cleaner carpets in room, I would give it 5 stars. Worth checking out and wouldnt be apposed to staying here again.
I really like this place, really clean and peaceful.
This is our second time staying here during Covid. The first time was awful due to the hotel participating in the hotels for homeless program. We were surrounded by “homeless “ groups (and alllll their friends) partying, being loud and being very disrespectful of the hotel and all of the other paying guests who wanted a nice stay.I would not have come back except the girl who took my reservation assured me the program was no longer happening and the resort would be quiet enjoyable place to stay; not the case. Both stays the “non paying clients” were not people I wanted to be around or have my children around. Most look straight out of prison. The Bahia used to be a beautiful quiet place to enjoy a getaway, now it feels more like a hotel in the middle of the ghetto. Great for them, too bad for us.
Bahia ResortThe picture of this place online is deceiving, the service wasnt reliable and the accommodation wasnt feasible, and as far the price goes, its expensive for nothing. I highly dont recommend this place for any family. Keep in mind you sleep on their mattresses healthy, you get up the next day having a broken bones and fractures..
Hotel staff was great... The grounds are beautiful. Mission Bay and Mission Bay Park surround the hotel; this is staying in a park. Nice store and gift shop and much more. There are so many attractions very close to the Bahia so visitors always have plenty to do.By:cmilton111Google Guide4.23.2018
Very nice. Room was spacious. Price was decent. Got to hang out with my mermaid friends it was great
This hotel is wonderful. I dont ever want to leave. We stayed in the 400 building but next time I will get a room that is ground level on the beach but still its not a bad walk. The service is amazing. Twila helped us check in and we were so thankful for her help. We arrived very early before check in and she help us get in early. That saved my life as I was traveling alone with two excited 5 year olds!
This place is so beautiful! While the ocean is literally around the corner, having a private beach is nice too! Its very calming and relaxing hotel with a lot of fun things to do just at the resort. Its in the perfect area so close to Pacific beach, fairly close to Balboa park, downtown, etc.The room isnt as nice as some other hotels but the location and amenities makes up for it.We came here for a wedding and the wedding on the beach, reception room was nice! Wish there was a bigger dance floor but it was the perfect size for the wedding.
We loved our room. Everything was very clean. I really enjoyed my stay and plan on returning with family. Parking is the only hard part. Parking is free with stay but late at night you could get pretty far away from your room. Other than that it was awesome. Beautiful grounds.
Had a fabulous stay at the Bahia. As a family of 4, we booked a room with a kitchenette, a king bed, and a sofa bed. It was plenty spacious enough, even with the sofa opened up. We loved the proximity to the beach, Belmont Park, Sea World, and restaurants. The pool area, private beach, and playground on the property were great. The balcony on the 4th floor facing the bay was beautiful. Unfortunately the 6:30 boat ride filled to capacity before we could get on, but it looked fun. Overall exceptional stay.
We have a very nice view of the bay... pool is very good
