Its a beautiful park. However nobody ever has a mask on. This weekend I took my daughter there for a walk and the play ground, basket ball court and just everywhere was full of unmasked people. I really dont think that the playground area should be open especially.
The parks swimming pool is big and clean. A large shallow area accommodates children and parents that do not want deep water.Lifeguards are on duty at all times.Young people between the ages of 1 to 18 have a free lunch and a free snack made available to them if they desire. The facility is clean and monitored at all times. The children I took for a swim day had a good time. Great way to be active and stay cool in the Texas summer heat.
Conception park is a nice spot for a quiet get away. It has plenty of picnic tables and trees that provide shade. At the time of this review, bicycle rentals are available too. Pack a lunch and enjoy your time there.
This is a beautiful area tucked away and found completely accidentally. It has a covered basketball court, a pool (unfortunately, it was empty on this trip), tennis courts, and access to the river and trails. There are two parking areas available. If you go down to the bridge over the river you can see Confluence Park up the way. It was surprisingly quiet too.
Pretty little park hidden near Mission Concepcion city renovation vastly improved ... well done. Even the restrooms were clean and smell good. Excellent for children or long bike rides.
This is one of my sons favorite parks. We love this park. We drive 15 minutes on the highway just to go to this park
I have been to Conception Park, ever since I was a Toddler. I am 61 now, a lifelong Resident of the West Side of San Antonio. Conception Park is both Beautiful and Gorgeous for Pic Nicing, Walking, Jogging or enjoying Nature.
First time since C-19 and I will say I was impressed how they temperature checked everyone and made you put hand sanitizer before you enter and before the game started. Second game, its was out the window and no one enforces mask for spectators. Ill update if its better going forward.
Very historical place with a lovely 300+ year old church and wide open space.
Had not been at Conception park over 35 years. Everyone wore their masks and the improvements made at this park are awesome compared to when I was younger.
Covered basketball court, baseball fields, children playground, restrooms, and rent a bike station. Riverwalk below. Very scenic. Police patrol the area.
Not a whole lot of parking, but this park is nice because its right next to the Riverwalk trail. You can take the long staircase, or walk about 100 feet and be on the same path (just at the top of the hill). Restrooms are also right next to the parking lot.
Very clean park! The walking trail is nice.
Its a pretty nice park, love the walking trail!
San Antonio is the cream of the crop when it comes to parks, I love all the parks because it brings about enjoyment to my heart; knowing I have a place to explore with my bicycle.
Great place just to get away...but please keep up with the grass and mow it, we cant see anyone rounding the corners!!
Amazing beautiful gym, they concession stand. Great place
It was nice . the walk down the river . and all the trees around the tables. Nice and clean.
It was nice clean and employable good to walk jog or just eat with my wife
It was good I had fun I was with the Lord Amen
In my opinion Concepcion Park and the Mission Trail all the way down to Mission Espada is where visitors and tourists should go. Very nice. This is an example of the beauty of San Antonios Southside.
5 star ONLY IF THEIR SECIRTY
This place is outrageous for softball tournaments, the first time we came it was $15 total for 2 people and parking. Now 3 weeks later its $19 for 2 people. Then the people want to argue with you and tell you no, that was the price last time. Everytime you turn around, every place is nickle and diming you.
Great place to enjoy watching sports. I love the volleyball leagues there!
Very quiet right now...
Nice and well kept grounds, also the San Antonio River walk ways with miles and miles of land well kept .
Nice place to run or ride your bike!
Lots of walking trails to walk or bike& lots of pecans to pickup n eat!
Great day for a walk, run and bike ride.
Went with my wife and she loved it
Very beautiful looking park.
Wonderful basketball and volleyball gymnasium.
We had a wonderful time
Beautiful pavilion and trails to river.
Great part of the San Antonio Mission Trail.
I love to chill walk the river
Awesome place to just get away and see our river
Restrooms were locked. Clean area and nice sights
I go about every other day usually from 4am to 2:30pm or so.Ive always been able to get some peaceful fishing in as well as have had no problems with my vehicle being messed with when Im not around it. Ive caught smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, carp, catfish, and like twice I caught rainbow trout. Well recommended for families, friends and more...
Wont be back here....or anywhere else owned by the City of San Antonio.
Very big and well kept facility. Good selection of food. Event prices were reasonable
Nice playground. Cute dogs. Well maintained facilities.Families playing with their kids. Given the proximity to downtown was amazed how clean and safe it is.
Nice modern facility, however after spending 3 days here several of us got sick. Not sure Id there is mold somewhere. Also, the place is very cold when it is cold outside, and the temperature cannot be adjusted.
Great venue for volleyball, but parking is a disaster. Paid $5 to park and ended up parked in the grass/mud at an adjacent baseball field. I have handicap plates, but the VERY few slots they had were filled.
Awesome place to hoop exercise walk around meet people who are having a good day nice environment for you and your family and friends. I recommend everyone check this out really enjoy it very much.
Its a great place to host or play basketball games and tournaments. Complex has 6 full-court basketball courts.
Was at a karate tournament there, spacious, clean, had good ac, my only down, never had to pay a fee to park for a tournament.
Cute fishing spot right in the city!
Nice running trail river flows nice
Its a sporting venue, would be 5 but paying for parking is lame.
Great place to walk. Easy access to the mission reach of the river walk.
I visited this venue for a AAU basketball tournament. The facility is great to run games out of.
Very crowded people everywhere without mask
Beautiful at 630am. Quiet
Lovely place! Perfect for kids and peaceful strolls.
Family oriented place to enjoy the San Antonio river. I highly recommend this park for a nice quiet stroll with that special someone. One complaint, The park needs more lighting for when it gets dark outside.
We have been here multiple times always for the same reason and Im happy to be at this facility every time. The bathrooms are clean and there are plenty of stalls so youre never really waiting in line. The layout of the entire place is open and works great for many functions including the jiu jitsu tournaments we frequent here. I will always come back.
The facility is clean, well kept, and very spacious. Food is a little over priced and not that great though.
I run here when Im in town visiting parents. You can play sports and take small children. Theres a short running trail around the park that I run if its an evening run. Otherwise take the main trail since its up 10 miles if I recall the trail directory bulletin information correctly. Sadly I dont run by myself during hours when there arent many people on the trail as I become very afraid of danger since Im a woman. I dont think I exaggerate when I say this. Im also from Austin so its never the same as running the trails around Lady Bird Lake, etc. but I still recommend.
Love everything this park has to offer!
Beautiful park, amazing trail and view of the river.
Enjoyed a walk on this lovely trail. Its great for walkers, runners, bikers, kids, and dogs, too.
A very nice family sport facility with adequate parking.
Had a good time ....defenitly a place to explore
Nice place for basketball tournment. The parking though.....$5/day is a bit much especially since you have to pay for the tournament too...$30/weekend. But the parking staff were very nice!!
Beautiful park with amazing views and located along the San Antonio River.
Nice clean park.pool is open and big.they have added so many wonderful things nice place to have a outdoor BBQ. Or be a birthday party. I think theres a indoor gym and other new things havent seen the inside only all the outside.
Very nice place to ride in the bike
First time there, not bad
Very relaxing quiet atmosphere
Love to come do parkour here/exercise!!! If your a athlete come over here!!!! It’s a great place!
Community park that has served San Antonio for Generations, as the growth of our city continues this will most definitely remain a great place to make lifelong memories.
Great park. People are always wonderful for adaptive sports and the Valor games!!
Family loves going here! Nice peaceful place and great for bbqs
I wanted to get a solid run in, about six miles on the Riverwalk trail towards downtown, back and out starting from the Theo trailhead. Well maintained and beautiful scenery.
The park has changed so magnificently since I was a child. I love being there day or evening. The barren sides of the San Antonio River has changed to ornimated pathways with greenery and seating. Nature sure is beautiful to experience in your daily life. I couldnt be happier with this park, and the way it has progressed, than what I am now.
Great experience but wish employees where a bit nicer
Nice place to for a walk
Beautiful place. Too many trees missing. All the old great shady trees are gone for walkways. Sad.
The great extortionists. They charge you for everything. Charge for parking, and going into the sporting event, go to your car, pay again to go back in. Referees let games get out of hand, I understand why they have fights.I did not see any security. I dislike going there. The snack bar is good. A thats my view.
Had a wonderful time with my children
What a nice park especially when going down to the trail. A good area of grass and meadow to relax and to be away from the city but to feel involved in the history of the mission fort. The sweet air and smell of the park with drive you into it. Hopefully youll find parking though. Relax in the big open field of Concepcion. Have a good time.
Nice sports Park
Went to the Alamo City Roller Girls Derby was a blast of fun
Scenery and atmosphere friendly
Very nice job of updating the facilities
Clean & safe practices
Truly a hidden gem. Every one should see the BEAUTY of the parks that GOD has provided to all.
Big space but parking lot is a little bit small it could use some work but other than that the reatrooms are super clean and very well kept as in not much mess the custodians there are amazing they work super hard they should get a raise honestly
