Enjoyed this little gem. Lots of nest plants to look at. Loved the turtles too. If you are looking to take nice pictures, this is definitely an option. Nice benches and view outside too. Worth the entry free. It wasnt busy when we went and we felt safe.
This is a great place to bring kids. Its only $3 for adults, free for 5 and under, and $2 for all other kids. The have a turtle, some fun water features, and on select nights in winter the place is open late for you to look at the festive lights they have installed. Again, its great for kids and small enough for you to quickly find your rambunctious child.
My kids have been all about what happens underneath and above us so I thought this was a good price lace to visit. For 5 of us it was 13$ . It can be a quick or as long as you wish and there is a small playground nearby for lunch if you want or walk one of trails.During COVID the numbers are reduced and we wore our makes when we were close to others while walking through.
If you are looking for a great escape, calming place to sit and relax...or walk around in a very well kept greenhouse with some wildlife check this place out. Take 20 min, take hours! Worth supporting.
A beautiful place to visit, quiet and peaceful. Many turtles including one named Mini Van who roams the conservatory. Really interesting!
So beautiful inside! for 10$ you can get a year long membership (which I highly recommend!!) Ive been watching the baby turtles grow for over a year now! this place is filled with incredible plants. theu have a variegated monstera hiding in the corner of the 2nd room! theres also an entire room dedicated to cacti and succulents
One of the best attractions of Rochester. Beautiful, well kept. Membership is affordable and well worth it
This was a return visit to the conservatory for me and I was very glad that I visited again. The poinsettia displays were wonderful, and I had fun watching the tortoises.
A nice spot to get away for about an hour. Inexpensive admission, lots of different plants to look at and surprisingly cool inside. Enjoyed the wildlife too!
Great place to relax! Between the plants, water features, and the animals (button quail, tortoises, turtles, and the duck), this is fun for kids and adults alike. Horticulturalists will geek out over the plants, while kids will be busy following the animals running among the plants.
One of my favorite places in town to spend an hour or so warming up in the winter. Small but filled in well. 3 zones to enjoy.
So peaceful, everyone is so friendly, truly a gem of Rochester.
Okay. So this place is ridiculously small. Its also kinda ridiculously awesome. Great for small kids. Live turtles roaming through it. As well as ducks and other smaller birds. A fresh breath of sunshine in the cold arctic winters of Rochester.
Beautiful year round and handicap accessible!️
One of my favorite places to go to escape Rochester winters. $4 dollar tickets, happy quail running around, a duck, and lots of turtles. It is small, but it’s nice to just relax and enjoy the warmth and the green.
Cozy Conservatory at a reasonable admission fee. Its like a big greenhouse with turtles and a duck. Some quite exotic plants. You can tell the owners have put a lot of work into it. Read the signs and appreciate their attention to detail. Watch your step for turtles!
One of my favorite places ever. Admission is super cheap and its incredibly well maintained. There are lots of places to sit and just enjoy being surrounded by lovely foliage. Even when there are a decent number of people its easy to find a spot out of the way to relax. Also the button quails are my favorite thing in the world. Theyre like tiny potatoes running around. The other animals are great too, theres a tortoise who likes to make its rounds.
It appears to be open. Ive been a long time member but I wont be going in any time soon. Social distancing in there would be complicated, as its always crowded with people taking Instagram selfies. Just take a walk in the park. Its beautiful.
Awesome Conservatory... beautiful and vast array of plants, flowers, cacti, turtle ponds, roaming little birds...seasonal displays add to the usual beauty
Beautiful and cheap way to escape winter, a great place to tour for out of state people, and good destination for families and their kids to educate them in a fun way!
For $2 you can take a short walk through the Lumberton Conservatory. Here you can see some super cute animals. There were ducks, tortoises, fish, etc. A lot of very interesting plants including some very large plants. Short but simple. Worth the time and $2
Beautiful Greenhouse! I love the turtles running around the place.
Everybody must have the same idea, go-to a place where its warm and have multiple environments of flowers blooming. This is well worth the 3 dollar entry fee for adults. I suggest making a donation to them so they can keep providing this treasure during the grey winter months
Beautiful location and establishment. I highly recommend visiting.
Really great for a cold winter day. There are a lot of flowers and plants. There is always something in bloom.
Love love love coming here! Beautiful, well maintained and great people working here.
Very nice, quiet place to spend an hour or so. Really enjoyed the Christmas lights.
Very nice Conservatory. Many photo opportunities.
Lamberton Conservatory is small but interesting. There is a nominal admission fee. It was $2.00 for a senior. There are turtles everywhere so watch your feet. The plants are mostly labeled which was helpful. A few wooden and woven benches were unique. There is street parking at the front.
This place is NOT open. The actual conservatory is closed. But the surrounding area is open and it is beautiful
The members Christmas party was just lovely, everything was so beautiful. The food was great, and wine and the musicians were lovely. Everyone was lovely. Iam so glad to be a member. Ive always enjoyed going to the conservatory. Thank you so much for a beautiful evening and my friend Lynn enjoyed it also and became a member ️ merry Christmas to all and a blessed New year
A secret treasure worth the few dollar donation. There are several rooms with different themes of plants and flowers. The seasonal room was aromatic and colorful. A great location for practicing your photography.
One of my favorite places to be. If you want to go to a peaceful yet enlightening spot, this is it. They have turtles and amazing plants from all walks of life, accompanied by benches and shaded areas that can make you want to stay there all day. I have, for hours.
A fun and well stocked conservatory.
I love it here so much. SO MUCH. Its the perfect place to go if you have seasonal depression - warm, colorful, and green, and there are tortoises and turtles and quails and a duck! I live here now. Come visit me
Very special plants and creatures. Staff very helpful.
This place is great for visitors and locals. A fun little place to pass through. A good value, its always changing. Went three weeks apart and it was a whole new trip. Its hot so its wise dress appropriately, the vestibule seems air conditioned though. There are restrooms and a water fountain inside. This conservatory is surrounded by a beautiful park with lots of winding pathways with breathtaking outdoor spring gardens and some truely awesome playgrounds.
My 3 year old grand-daughter loves going here every Wednesday to see the beautiful flowers and plants. Also loves to see the turtles and duck! People who work here are very friendly and try to help with any and everything I ask for
Very serene with wonderful energy
Very fun place to take pictures or just walk around!
Wonderful vacation from a cold sunny day!
Just a couple bucks and you get to transport yourself to a warm, lush, tropical place (and a desert). Dont rush through this little conservatory or you will miss some of its hidden jems (Chuck Norris the turtle and the little birds skittering around your feet)
This is my favorite place on Rochester! This conservatory is an oasis! The plants are stunningly beautiful! There are so many varieties. We love the area with the small waterfall and running water. We also love to see and visit the turtles. This is such a tranquil, beautiful place! We would visit often if we lived closer to Rochester. The holiday lights were so beautiful! What a gem! The people at the front counter are always so kind and helpful!
This a really nice place to.visit for only three dollars there are animals and cool exotic plants like Cacti
Was absolutely beautiful!Very peaceful, cozy and stunning. Front desk was also very kind and helpful.I love the quails walking everywhere, and the place is very much well kept.If I know anyone visiting Rochester, I’d recommend going here!
Inexpensive to visit, beautiful plants, free roaming turtles and quail. Its a must visit!
Beautiful array of unusual plants and flowers. A must see any time of the year.
Gorgeous flowers all year round. A highly recommended place for locals to escape to in February when you are over winter.
Beautiful place to visit.
Beautiful flowers and walk. Handicapped accessable and parking. Knowledgeable staff. Good bathroom cavities.
Always pleasant, especially on a dreary winter day
Best indoor winter retreat in Rochester, at an incredible price! $10/adult, per year, and kids under five free! Kids were entertained for hours. Get in out of the snow.
What a beautiful place to go and appreciate spring which is around the corner. Wish it was a little more wheel chair user friendly
I have visited more than once and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit. The staff is lovely and the plants are so calming and serene. The turtles, quail, duck, and fish outdoors are a nice addition to each area. This is a perfect place to go alone, with a friend, or with a small group and is somewhere you leave feeling refreshed and happy you visited!
Small but lots to see and enjoy. Great way to enjoy nature in the cold winter months.
Beautiful spot in highland park, highly recommend
Great little conservatory, they have some amazing plant life as well as tons of turtles. Keep an eye out for the duck!
Lovely little gem. Small conservatory but chock full of great plants. Beautiful place. I love the free-range turtles and Lucky the duck. Went here to get a walk after having had surgery. Lots of chairs and benches throughout, so its easy to find a place to sit if you start to get tired. I could definitely see myself bringing a book or a crossword and just chilling out for a while.
Class trip awesome
Great location for photo shoot!
On of my favorite places in rochester. What an escape. Great thing for kids on a rainy day because they have turtles and birds they can look at!
Great place! There are cute turtles, squils, and a duck. Very cute architecture and beautiful plants ranging from rainforest plants to cacti!
Year-round local treasure. Each season has its special treats, and the permanent collection of plants, quail (!) and turtles is wonderful. Its an inexpensive treat for the whole family or solo visitors.
Loved it. There are so many beautiful and unique plants to admire while in the presence of copious turtles and a duck! It is a very peaceful, serene place to visit.
Very beautiful! Excellent spot for a photoshoot indoors. Clean, warm, and full of life.
A green utopia giving a wonderful oxygen boost!
Cool place, definitely the most lively, colorful, lush place in Rochester in the winter and early spring, cheap admission, a local gem!
Wonderful flowers lush plants, cute qualia running underfoot, turtles and tortoises to spare! Friendly staff eager to answer questions, and many different rooms with varied themes. 3$ admission, or 10$ yearly membership makes this a very affordable visit and very attractive for large and small groups.
Restful and healing space at any time of year but especially during Rochester winter.
Wonderful place to see unique tropical plants and trees. Also a nice place to just sit and relax
Great plants and interesting rooms, very relaxing and pretty.
Incredible diversity of plants and colors to stroll through and admire.
I always go there for photos and they add something new every year. There are turtles now and little quail running around. Only one large turtle and he has a stop sign on his back the other turtles are all enclosed in a separate places or under waterfalls. Its fun to observe and try to see them and all the wonderful plants there. I highly recommend a visit there four times a year to see all the different flowers and foliage.
Warm place to observe a large variety of plants with a small community of critters.
This place is beautiful, theres really not a better word to describe it. Everything is so well tended to and its a very serene environment. I recommend it to everyone looking for a lovely place to escape for a while
Was an amazing experience. Its interesting looking at all the plants and learning their names.
The conservatory is great! Its not huge, but the plants (and tortoises) are presented to great effect!
Outstanding.
We loved it here. It may not be that big but there are a few rooms that show the plant life of different regions. I am willing to bet kids love it here because if you look closely there are little critters all among the plant life.
The duck is pretty funny. The boy liked the turtles.
Beautiful place
Excellent and fun place to go on a winter day. Watch out for the turtles! ;)
Beautiful conservatory, unique and interesting exhibits. Friendly quail, turtles, and a duck have free reign through the majority of the conservatory. A little small but well worth it.
Peaceful, beautiful, something new and different every time you look.
Wonderful small greenhouse with many tropical plants. Take a break from winter!
So beautiful! What a great place to visit for their seasonal displays. I think kids would love the animals they keep inside. Next time I plan to spend more time just hanging out here.
Nice plants and great park
I always love visiting here in the spring because they have spring flower displays out. Only $3 to get in, they have several different climate rooms, and a ton of little turtles and quails roaming around. Its small but definitely worth checking out, and since its right in Highland Park theres more than enough walking around to make a day of it!
While visiting the Lilac Festival I toured the Lamberton Conservatory. I had never been there before. I found it very interesting. There were photos and information as well. I didnt even know there was a Conservatory there...Im fairly new to the area so it was a pleasant tour.
An oasis in winter & a natural sanctuary the rest of the year.
Beautiful place, nice area, and great place for photos
Beautiful place to relax, think, and meditate. Brought our young children and they loved exploring the space and discovering all the plants and animals. Little quail and turtles call it home and it was so much fun to watch them.
3$ +2$ admission for us and then a bag of little nature inspired toys for 6$. They have cute notebooks, bookmarks and totes. See turtles, fish and a duck here...oh and lots of plants. There is a desert room :)
What a gem this place is in our community. Had not been in a while but Ill be again back soon.
This is a great place to learn about outer space!
Absolutely beautiful! Its very cheap, and there is no time limit! I LOVE watching the quails and turtles roam around! The plants and gorgeous! Perfect place to relax!
