Might be the best dog park Ive ever been to. Not only is it gigantic it is clean and has fun stuff for the dogs to do, like tunnels and balance beams. The forest inside the park is really cool. Ive never seen that at a dog park before. They have a separate fenced area for dogs that may not be ready to socialize just yet. I really like that.
My favorite Rochester dog park! Friendly people, good dogs, shade and a nice trail back to willow creek (go through either gate in the treed part of the park. Be sure to close the gate.) There is a perfect tree bridge for dangling ur toes in the creek while Fido splashes!
Personally, I only use the parking lot for easy bike trail access. However, this park is frequently in use by dog owners who all seem happy to be here - dogs and owners alike :) ! It looks clean and has lots of benches for people, obstacles for dogs to play on, and theres a water spigot, too. Several fenced off areas allow for different grind cover choices and separation of desired. Plus, theres a pot-a-potty in the lot :-p
Very fun dog park, with some trees for the dogs to run through too.
Great park. Lots of agility equipment for pups to play on/in. Lots of shaded areas for those hot days and water is available in park so you dont need to bring your own. 2 separate play areas and an unfenced creek area can be accessed from back of park.
What an incredible little playground for pet companions! Thank you for those that built it and keep it up.
Large park, nice and clean, well mannored dogs, shaded areas, picnic tables and a water spout for the fur babes. Best dog park Ive been to
Great park with some nice people and the creek in the back is so nice!!!
Nice park with access to the bear creek stream!
Love it fantastic time with trails and park definitely be back again with my Dog.
Well set up park.
Its just the best! Open area for running, wooded area for shade. Rear access to river through back gate. (River area is unfenced but heavily wooded. My dogs have no clue they have technically left the containment area). This park is my happy place. (My dogs like it too)
Busy park! Unless you go around 6am you will probably meet other dogs! 4ft fenced in area, about half woods half open. There are two dog pens, most people I have seen let their small dogs in the large area, and others with unfriendly dogs will exercise in the smaller run. Smaller run has grass with a muddy entrance, larger run has asphalt and a lot of wood chips with some makeshift agility equipment. The river is accessible by the gates in the back wooded area of park but BE CAREFUL because it is not fully fenced in and is near a fairly busy bridge.
One of the best if not the best parks in Rochester. Comes with unlimited water from the ground and a lot of dog owners help out by bringing toys theyre so all the dogs have a good time. Part of its in the open Under the Sun and then you have it back part in the woods. Fantastic Park. And more laid-back and less annoying than the North dog park off 55th Street.
A nice park. Just enough room, lots of shade. Someone had left a kiddie pool by the pump (nice pump) and we filled it for the dogs. We came for the creek, but chose not to use it. Its dry back from the park in an unfenced area. No big deal for us, but the path isnt taken care of. There was a lot of wild parsnip along the path, so we stuck to the main park.
Overall great for a free space but there can be quite a bit of mud, stickers, and bugs. Plenty of other dogs usually to run around with and help your pup get their energy out.
Awesome dog park with lots of shade. Also has some fun tunnels and ramps for the dog to play on. And there is a separate fenced calm area if your dog gets anxious.
Great place with a lot of space. Separate fenced in areas for shy and playful dogs. Has a water spigot and agility obstacles. The gate in the back goes to a river bank where dogs can swim.
Nice open space for the dogs to run. Some people havent picked up their dogs poop. There was a faucet and a bowl for water but it appeared to be nonfunctioning.
Nice clean park with great areas for the dogs to run. Double gated with entry areas to keep all dogs in and safe! My dog loved the woods to play in.
Love the park. My dog has so much fun there
Nice to have the combo of fenced in wooded area and fenced open area with some agility equipment
We love to take our dog here to play. The fence is pretty secure. Its a bit wet at the gate during the spring thaw. We like to go through to the creek occasionally, too.
Havent been to many dog parks but this place is amazing! Areas are fenced in, lots of locals bring their dogs here. Im only in town for work but will return as long as Im in town.
Small dog park side is safe for our little ones. A few puddles around after rain. Nice walk back to river if you want. But be careful of cockleburs, and thorned plants.
This is a great spot it bring your dog and let your dog get worn out most of the people there are nice too!
Great mix of open and wooded areas to play. A great plus is a well to fill water bowls on-site. We dont go often as its on the opposite side of town, but it is definitely worth the trip every once in a while.
Dog park is wonderful but run by park services and for some reason is always last on the list of which parks get taken care of.
Good place for the dog to run and socialize with other dogs for sure
This park needs some trimming and clearing. Low land by Bear Creek. Tons of bugs due to the dense canopy and brush growing. But it has potential.
Park itself is 5 stars. People just dont clean up after their dogs.
Shady options for warm weather. Running water tap.
Henry loves this park, we come here as ofton as possible! Thank you Rochester for this great place where the dogs can run and play.
Loved it except for getting bit by another dog because I was protecting mine
This location is more laid back compared to the north dog park. It can get muddy at times. Theres a few benches and a picnic table to sit on.
Holy-pack of dogs chasing a deer!! Most entertaining morning!
Some dog owners dont seem to abide by the rules, but most are really good. The park is great. Love that it has water, benches, shade, many gates, and two sections. I do worry about Marys safety when she goes alone.
Great dog park, supplied water, a stream to play in and many obstacles to use for agility
Decent sized dog park. Some things for the dogs to play on. There is an area outside of the fenced in area that goes to a river for the dogs to play in.
Love the (fenced) wooded area and the stream where the pups can play and cool off. That part is technically not fenced the entire perimeter, but my dog is a runner and she hasnt figured out how to escape. There are tall grass and an overpass so they all stay by the stream paths, Ive observed.
Great park Im glad they ate expanding it even more .. plenty of drinking water and shade with some obstacles I go there every day
Never had a problem with other dogs or owners
Our dog loves it there! We will be going back
Nice park, it has a Creek for the dogs so they can work on their swimming skills. Has a faucet to water your dogs. People are real nice
My dog loves the forested areas.
Decent size and not too muddy.
Cool for dogs. I went in a gloomy day and still wasn’t bad.
Great area for dogs of all sizes - had water station and wooded area for cooler area on hot days
Bring bug spray
Awesome dog park! We love the woods and separate spaces.
Solid place to take your dog(s). Some of the equipment is in pieces but the people there tend to v aware of their dogs behavior.
Nice dog park. It can get a bit mucky though. Great spaces for dogs! Water, bags and trash available.
Great place our dog loves playing catch there
Nice place for the dog to run.
Nice park with lots of areas to stimulate pups.
Nicely wooded park,,has water dispense for fresh water,, free community bags for Proper pet waste pick up and Dumpster for disposal,,, has been issues with non socialized dogs,,and Irresponsible pet handelers,,with aggressive dog attacks on other regular,,passive/older,, Dogs,,,Even though the rules specifically state,,aggressiveness is Not Allowed... There Is a separate fenced area for those type,,,exactly for this reason,,,People need to follow through....
Pretty dismal place... at least in the dead of winter. Will try again in the spring.
My dog loves it here!
A nice little park with a lot for dogs to do!
Very icey
