Absolutely gorgeous church! Proper steps being taken to sanitize everything, and distance parishioners.
What an awesome church. I was only there once so far & briefly, but what I saw & felt was really beautiful. The people working in the offices are some of the happiest & nicest Ive ever met! Just a good feeling. Thank You.
We held my father-in-laws funeral here on Monday June 30th, unfortunately. But, the church was beautiful, as always, and the service was very well done. Father McKenna was very well spoken and did an amazing job. Thank you again.
For me, it was a relax and enjoyable time for me regarding Catholic church.
Absolutely stunning architecture. Beautiful energies reside here. Step in and feel for yourself. As I tell my little ones, lets go see the Angels.
I attended school there graduated the 8th grade from there and I went to church there and was an it is one of the most beautiful churches
It used to be much more beautiful before they tried modernizing it. The took out the pews and put in a big pool sized baptizimal font. It is still nice. Worth a visit for mass.
Ive only been to the Cathedral twice, once to see it and attend noon mass and then again for a ceremony. Its a beautiful building even if it isnt as large as I first imagined it to be. They have a little store inside that sells seasonal missals, prayer cards, and other miscellaneous items. They have a beautiful pipe organ. If youre coming for an event, it pays to arrive early as parking goes quickly and the Cathedral is not in the nicest neighborhood.
I just love to drive by here and just look at this church because its so beautiful.
Nice place
My mother grew up in this church. The day she died (6-24-19) i stopped in with my daughter to say a prayer and found the cathedral to be locked all around. A nice worker asked me what I needed and I explained my reason for being there. He let us right in and stayed back. It was so beautiful with the empty church and just my daughter and I. We yelled I love you grandma! The echos made me break down in tears. I am not a particularly spiritual guy but in that moment...i sure felt close to something. My recommendation for this place clearly is for the kindness of one man at the right place at the right time with a good heart. I think his name was steve but am not 100%. Thank you!!!!
Welcoming Church Community. Friendly Christian family. Catholic but they welcome all denominations Many different ministries that offer services to the Community in need. They have a caring loving Rector. All for his Community family and touching as he reaches beyond the doors of mother Church.
Very beautiful cathedral. During our visit the organist was exceptional!
Amazing church with incredible architecture. A must see. The organ insode has to be seen to be believed.
Plenty of parking. Pleasant Congregation and spiritual environment.
Beautiful church
Great church great community of loving people
Family oriented. A great pleasure.
Excellent place of worship. Great choir! Very peaceful and prayerful environment.
Spacious and renovated cathedral for the Diocese of Rochester. Wonderful organ, high arched ceilings.
Welcoming, spiritually satisfying, calming effect, beautiful place to hear Gods word
It will never be the same. The interior beauty was desecrated years ago, all for the sake of modernization. So sad.
Beautiful Cathedral. Attended St. Bernards School of Theology and Ministry graduation ceremony.
Very beautiful church and it had A/C
Most beautiful church in town
A new priest was ordained the day I was there; he is from our parish and is being assigned to our parish. It was wonderful!
Went for confession there for the first time (updating the review - this was pre Covid). It is beautiful....but theres a reason I can hardly stand going to anything but a Latin Mass anymore (go to the TLM at St. Kateri in Irondequoit instead) - the blatant irreverence of so many now. There was a wedding prep going on and I wondered why the priest attending to them didnt speak up about even one of the things that werent okay. Why get married in a church if you dont even acknowledge Christs presence? Why get married in a church if youre going to treat it like a dance hall? Why bother getting married in a church when the ladies couldnt be bothered to dress modestly? Seriously, some of them were in club wear. Would you dress like that to a court house? Sad. The entire wedding party was loud and irreverent even before the altar and the people there who were OBVIOUSLY PRAYING. Literally no regard for anyone else and again, priest did nothing. I get it. Its exciting. But its the house of God. Not a club. Again super sad.The altar weirded me out. Its new-agey and not at all focused on the Bessed Sacrament. Seriously - youll find our Lord off to the side. What?? Why??What the heck is the point of a church if Christ isnt the focal point? Nope. Thank you but no thank you.
Beautiful church with an amazing organ!
I was born into this church in 1943. I attended the Catholic school. I moved away when I was 20.I recently came back for a visit. I was never so amazed at the way the church building has changed. I often wondered who came up with a stupid idea to change the sweet feeling, of the inside of this church? No more pews, but what amounts to padded folding chairs. Poor Bishop Hogan must be rolling around in his grave. And the cost of all this utter ugliness, must have been out of site. And yet you couldnt keep the school open. I know deep in my heart that there are many others who feel this way. The newer families didnt know what was given up.The priest that decided to change this beautiful church, probably isnt even there anymoe. Probably off trying to change other churches. If, he is still there, you should feel really ashamed!!!!
Beautiful cathedral and everyone is so incredibly welcoming!
A place of peace.
Walked there with my grandchildren love the building
I always enjoy my visits to Sacred Heart. Its home to me having been baptized, received my first communion and confirmation there.

Beautiful church.
Beautiful Cathedral with comfy seats and kneelers. Weve been twice for Mass, but our third time was for a Scouting Religious Emblems Ceremony. Fathers Tomasso and McGrath did a great job along with Alison LeChase, Linda Mehlenbacher and everyone else. Thank you so much for recognizing Scouts in our area!
The staff is nice and very helpful they helped me alot when i was in need.
A beautiful church
Wonderful pipe organ
Great small church/community feel. People attend from all over the city and surrounding areas.
Nice place!
It makes me feels very relaxed and tranquil.
Its beautiful
I was baptized here then went to grammer school across the street. I remember Bishop Casey in his glorious satin robes coming downstairs to the dressing room to bless out kindergarten class before making our stage debuts (I was a cinnemon bear in the 1965 Christmas pagent). High Latin Masses and 1st Communions, the Stations of the Cross and the scent of incense and the ringing of bells as I beat my small fist to my chest are as clear to me now some 50 years later. Last but not least I recall as if just this moning the powerful voice of Bishop Fulton J. Sheen echoing off the butresses of this grand Catherdal saying: Show me your hands. Do they have scars from giving? Show me your feet. Are they wounded in service? Show me your heart. Have you left a place for divine love?
