If you like to climb trees, then this park is for you. I went with my friend and all we did was climb trees. It was awesome.
Theres a 2-4 year old park there! So cute! I ran there from my apartment just south of BYU campus, took me around 18 minutes, itd be a decent jaunt if I were walking my child. Theres a Pokegym there, and paths throughout for walking. Lots of lawn and green, and flowers. Altogether very pretty, and perfect for bringing kids who have energy to burn. :)
My family and I had a great time at this park. We even rented a scooter and went up and down the road and through the park. Beautiful Park and very quiet. We had lunch on the benches. Just be aware that people speed through that part on the main road thats going through it. Watch your kids.
Well kept park. Super clean and welcoming for anyone. Plenty of space for any range of activities!
We absolutely love this park. It is relatively small, flat, there are an appropriate amount of trees. You could play soccer, frisbee, or football; anything requiring a large field, but you could also relax in a hammock (what we did). There isnt really a parking lot, but we have never seen enough people to necessitate one. We will be returning!!!
Clean and beautiful park. Went for the Provo Fall Food Festival. Really fun and good food.
Large beautiful park with some veterans/military memorials. Well kept getting, very green grass, and huge shade trees. The perfect place for a family gathering or picnic!
Public Art show that day. Nice stroll and music, activities and food trucks. Easy to social distance.
This a small public park, with great positive energy, ideal for throwing the frisbee, playing volleyball and small walks
Nice open area, benches, playground... There is just no parking except on a small road that goes through the park.
Beautiful park. Its easy to access, right off of center street, yet feels both open and kind of secluded at the same time. Lots of grass, some benches, a small park, cement patio, etc.
Very well kept park with nice memorials to those who died in war. Nice open areas with trees and a playground. Has a few picnic tables too.
Pretty rad park, never very busy. Nice to go hang out and think or something, lots of stuff to read as well.
Its a nice park to have a short walk or even play a game of volleyball, frisbee, etc. Its a chill park for pretty much anything.
Love coming here very relaxing and beautiful
Very pleasant atmosphere and has trash bins
Great place to go with a familyVery family friendly. Safe.
Its a nice place to relax and socialize, theres places to play, and its well taken care of.
It’s decent but crowded all anyone did was play spike ball which is not a real sport
Very pretty park. Theres nowhere to hammock, though, so thats a bummer.
Really nice place to chill out
A simple playground and some field space filled with trees.
Nice quiet place to lunch with your girl.
Really love this park. Lots of benches and walk ways. Good flat land for spike ball or other sports
Peaceful place to hang around.
Beautiful little memorial park thats well maintained.
Nice grassy areas great for volleyball
This is a nice park. The grounds are well maintained, and there is a nice little playground in addition to grassy areas. It does get a bit busy, but my only real complaint is i wish it had a drinking fountain and bathroom
I didnt even know this was technically a park. The monument is pretty neat, though.
So beautiful! I loved it here
Its a decent park and it was fun to walk around the first time I visited and see the different artillery displays and the spire monument. I still go on occasion for a quick walk or to throw a ball or a Frisbee, but the trees are too large and too far apart from each other to be suitable for hammocking, and situated right next to Center St. it doesnt provide the same feeling of escape from city life.
Great place to slack line!
So, first off its a park. Second, it has Pokemon Go stops and gyms. Im a simple man.
Its a beautiful park that has a rich history. Theres a playset with swings, an old Navy cannon, and of course the memorial stones with the names of people who have died for our country
Real nice park.
I play Pokemon Go here occasionally and it has a nice dense pocket of pokestops and gyms. The aesthetic of the park is very pleasant, and the AA guns were always one of my favorite installations in all of the Provo parks.
Wonderful, open space with paved trails and lots of green grass
Its a very small park with little to offer. The memorials and statues are interesting, but theres little of value for staying compared to other parks.
Pretty and open park. It is a nice place for a picnic or walk but no playground for those who want it
Its a great park! Lots of grass, a playground and a map!! The playground is geared towards little kids. They only have baby swings, but they do have slides. Its a great place.
Neat park with open grass and a few benches. Good place to hang around.
I found this park to be random. That might be a strange choice of adjective, but that is how i feel about it. There arent a lot of places to sit and you back up right into peoples yards. Overall, it was okay, but not one that I would recommend. There are better parks in Provo.
Nice park, very peaceful, safe area. I believe it is pet forfriendly and the historic monuments are great.
Not much to say except that the grass and flora features are all very well manicured.
Nice park. Lots of open space to play games. There are also a couple places where you can setup a hammock. This park has weird busy hours, due to lots of people playing Pokémon go here
Quiet, peaceful. Perfect for exercising early in the morning.
Fun place to go with kids and animals. Historical significance and walking paths add to the experience. For those that play Pokémon GO, there are two gyms there, one of which is an EX Raid Gym. Its a park for all.
I wish they had a few more tables or benches to sit out. Overall well maintained and beautiful park though.
Beautiful. And has awesome army Canons no bathroom. May be a fountain.
Nice place. Super relaxing for a walk. Watch out for mosquitos.
Lots of trees. Lots of grass. Nice place.
Nice place to go on a short walk
Not a ton do to here, but its well kept. The flags are nice. We did geocaching here and it was pretty cool.
Great little park for a walk or a gathering. Nice monument.
Well groomed and kept up. Beautiful memorials
Shortly after my mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I found myself taking liking to a girl. We will call her Kadyn, mostly because that is her actual name. I felt it was too early into my 20s to get into something serious, and I was excited about the idea of dating and meeting many people to find my type. I ended things after just a few weeks of dating. She has since been married. Anyways, that is another story, I do tend to get away from myself when I, well, reminisce.Anyways, Kadyn and I ran through the sprinklers at this here park. They call is Memorial Park because of the memorial there. I dont recall what it is meant to memorialize. I read it once with Kadyn, and pretended to be very interested in the memorial. now I just call it an obelisk and play some quite intense spikeball there. The spikeball scene is getting very serious in provo, but just as anything else it will phase out in the next two years.Anyways, enjoy the park. There is a nice map of the world the kids can play on. I try to let the kids have their space there though I would love to spend more time seeing the world.I hope all is well Kadyn. Remember those sprinklers next time you drive by the park, because I do.
This park has a nice walking path and playground, but no bathroom facilities. The memorials are fairly typical. Its a pleasant place for contemplation. Its also a good spot for playing Pokemon Go or setting up an Ingress farm.
Great place to go on a date, bring your kids, bring your dog, go by yourself. In the late spring and summer you can find a comfy spot on the grass. In the fall you can rake the leaves in a pile and jump in them. In the winter you can build a snow fort. Wonderful place for picnics and get-togethers.
As far as I could see there was no restroom facilities available at this park. But it was really nice and big with the small playground perfect for little kids. There are big trees and wide-open spaces of grass.
This is a nice, large park. Lots of trees and shade. It has a small playground that is especially great for younger children. It has two baby swings.
Spacious park with war monuments through out. There’s a kids playground and plenty of field space.
Nice enough park, as it isnt super big, but theres rarely a ton of people there so that kindof makes up for it. There is a bigger street next to it as well as one running through the middle so its not like kids and pets could run around super freely, but for pretty much any other activity good.
This is a great park! Its mostly a good park to take a nice relaxing walk, but they have a little play structure as well. They also have some pretty neat historical attractions.
Nice park on a nice day
This is a great park. Its located close to downtown Provo but on the east side so it has a nice view of the mountains. It is devided into two large areas with a stip of road inbetween them that you can park on.
Lots of open space to play sports, but not much in terms of benches or shelter.
No real parking here. The memorial is a grass field and some military relics. A great honor to those who fought for our country, but it looks like it could use some sprucing up.
A well kept park with a lovely memorial, with benches scattered throughout. It was quiet (compared to a lot of Provo) and I will be going again. Within close proximity to a lot of places so good for a picnic lunch if youre around for the day.
This place has like an historic feel to it
One of my favorite parks in Provo. Very clean and quiet.
Thurs was a great trip with the kids to help them learn about sacrifices made for the freedom we enjoy. Definitely worth the visit.
Great walking path
Great little park! Never too crowded, and always clean. Good balance of shade and open space.
Great place to go and relax on a nice summer day. Lots of open space with trees for shade if necessary. Almost always quiet. Fun in the snow as well.
Swings so my kids love it. The jungle gym is adequate, but not amazing. Some grass and shade. A smaller park and relatively empty most of the time. Slides too, but primarily geared for children 5 and under.
The park is well kept and has plenty of shade. The playground is good for kids of any age but can be hot in the sun.
Great park! Weird lurkers....
Nice area. Lots of grass
Nice park.
Lots of space to run around and have a picnic.
With all the trees the playground is shaded pretty well.
Beautiful open green space with a small playground and memorial obelisk. Great place to watch the fourth of July parade or to just have a summer picnic. Also home to Provo Pride each September.
Its a nice, small, quaint park. I hardly ever see many people here. Its not fenced or anything so not the best for pets. The memorial is pretty cool as is the world map art on the ground in the park. Other than that, its a lot of grass with a cement path. If youre into pokemon go there are a couple gyms and pokestops here that people frequently spin/take over. Lots of ghost type at night too
A lovely little park thats always clean. Its one of the best places to go take an afternoon nap in the sun, but you may occasionally be woken up by a friendly dog out on a walk.
Where my husband and I had our first date and where he eventually proposed... I may be a little biased
Great little park to be with family.
Its a nice little park. Very family friendly.
Nice grassy area with a lot of trees and neat monuments. The playground is lacking though. Slides are way too hot in the sun and very very staticy.
Beautiful
Lots of history and fun activities.
Nice park on Provo
Nice atmosphere.
Pleasant and fairly convenient, but with a road running through the middle, it is more like two small parks
Nice park that usually doesnt have hardly anyone there. Nice open grass for frisbee or soccer
Average park. Has a nice, though twisty path for walking, jogging etc. Kids should be watched closely as there is a road that goes straight down the middle and center street lies directly to the south.
Its not the biggest of parks, but theres enough space to play on the grass, have a picnic, or take a calm walk.
Nice large grassy area. Family friendly. lawn game friendly too
