This is a starting location for a gentle hiking in the area, and for that it is really great. However, what we used it for was for my son’s wedding venue on one of the bridges just a little ways down the river from the dam. This is a very no-fuss, easy, and beautiful picture spots that is very peaceful and serene. I highly recommend if, like us, you need a last minute spot to get married or have a romantic stroll.
This trail is absolutely beautiful and you can pretty much walk as far as you want before turning around. Its very flat and paved, would be a good spot for young kids, and there is a park at the beginning,Make sure to look for cute critters like ducks and butterflies :)
Jumped off the bridge, great fun
So pretty. Nice trail. Fun with kids.
Great place to take your girl and walk her to the falls.
Lots of fun until I crashed and ate asphalt for dinner
Sometimes there are high levels of dihydrogen monoxide!
The trail can get busy depending on when you go, but its a beautiful spot in provo canyon
Such a lovely place to run or stroll!
Its a beautiful area of this earth
I love this part of the Provo River I am a fisherman myself and this is one of my favorite spots in the whole river to go fishing. I would recommend it to anyone to go visit.
Great slackline spot
My friends jumped off a bridge, so I followed
Very beautiful autumn walk! the path was paved and wide, and the water was gorgeous!!
Great trail for running
I love the diversion damn! Ive been going there to swim with friends for decades! So much fun to go create magical memories there!
Very interesting. It was part of my hike. No facilities for the little potty monster that always forgets before we leave. Can you fish at the bottom of the dam?
Boring, haha
Great place for everything
Damn beautiful
It was beautiful there
Cool relaxing..out of the way place to enjoy nature
Beautiful water. Pick up your trash, people.
Really beautiful out here when youre going for a nice run or walk on the Provo Trail
Its therapeutic to drive through here.
I love Idaho history!
I started at Vivian park and ran the trail past the Olmstead Diversion its a really beautiful area.
Tried 3 very different lures (including a rapala) and powerbait in this area, the fish were flyjng out of the water, but not a single bite. Would not recommend for fishing
Great place to take the kids fishing
Great place for pics and walks
Does a great job holding the water in
Beautiful area to ride bikes
Loved it! Not too long hike, nice views, you can biking, skating, fishing, take your pets, everything
Used to fish here a lot. Usually great in the early morning.
Breath taking beautiful!
Pretty cold already, but the view is more than worth it
Good pickup point if paddling the river. Free parking. The water gets flat up until the dam, so tubers should exit up by Vivian Park.
Didnt get one bite. But our grandson did. Bigger broke the line and stole the fly that got him started fly fishing.
Nice path to walk, fish, bike, or longboard on. Dogs are okay here as far as I know.
Absolutely breathtaking! I enjoyed walking the trails
Cool
Beautiful
Mountain hike beautiful
Just access the river along the Provo river trail, right past Upper Falls park.
No diving but good fishing.
Beautiful location to walk and take it all in.
Can be a good fishing hole. Not a good place for little kids because the water is usually swift!
It was beatiful. Wish i could have stayed longer.
Pretty cool place to visit on a bike ride or hike.
