Located at 3rd and Walnut Street and the heart of Center City Philadelphia is a true historic treasure. This beautiful church that has been impeccably maintained is a must-see while visiting historic Philadelphia. Conveniently located off of SEPTA routes 9 & 57 and within walking distance of the market Frankford elevated and many other bus routes it is a beautiful, tranquil space to sit back, worship and recharge. The staff do an excellent job making everybody feel welcomed making this a destination onto itself. Enjoy!

Having attended two Jesuit institutions, I feel right at home at OSJ. This church has a very active young adult community and an outstanding music ministry. At OSJ, “All are welcome and respected here.”

Beautiful church. Im Catholic so I have a certain perspective through that lens. However, from a historical perspective the church was a wonder to see and is in outstanding condition. The original hand written letter from George Washington to the original pastor should interest any history buff.

The current pastor is among the best preachers you will hear anywhere. If you want to hear great preaching and listen to beautiful music, you should do yourself a favor and go to mass here.

Another gorgeous/traditional church in Philly. It is the oldest Catholic church in Philly and is still in fantastic shape. This place is great for a traditional Catholic wedding.

This historic church is a beautiful, spiritual place in the heart of old city Philadelphia. The history and aesthetics are stunning, and even if you are not religious, it is a very worthwhile place to visit. It is practically hidden within the city block, but the beauty when you enter its doors is expansive.

It is a beautiful historical Roman Catholic Church, when we entered someone was playing the organ. GAVE me chills. Went for a historical project for my sons school project for St Matthews school in northeast Philadelphia. As we left we meet Father Flynn, Jesuit priest, got a picture of my son and him.
