Campos Philly Cheesesteaks loves Old St. Joes
Located at 3rd and Walnut Street and the heart of Center City Philadelphia is a true historic treasure. This beautiful church that has been impeccably maintained is a must-see while visiting historic Philadelphia. Conveniently located off of SEPTA routes 9 & 57 and within walking distance of the market Frankford elevated and many other bus routes it is a beautiful, tranquil space to sit back, worship and recharge. The staff do an excellent job making everybody feel welcomed making this a destination onto itself. Enjoy!
Sister had her wedding here, great old school atmosphere. Oldest church in Philly.
Beautiful church. So historic and classic. Great spot for a wedding ceremony.
Beautiful church. Im Catholic so I have a certain perspective through that lens. However, from a historical perspective the church was a wonder to see and is in outstanding condition. The original hand written letter from George Washington to the original pastor should interest any history buff.
Beautiful Historic Church
Beautiful church in a wonderful part if the city. And all the people are very welcoming.
Great church but no parking lot
Confession time was stated 11:30-12 however no one was there to take our Confession.
Wonderful Mass in a beautiful historic church. Very welcoming to visitors at Mass
Beautiful church
This is a great place to be and the volunteers on Saturday works like a WELL OIL MACHINE. Great group of people
Beautiful old Jesuit church in Philly!
Beautiful, old Catholic church. Very respectful, traditional Mass.
A beautiful gem in Old City.
Beautiful church, beautiful music and a lovely welcome.
The church has a lot of history, and the parish is friendly and open to all. Their school is great, with some of the students moving on to do great things.
The current pastor is among the best preachers you will hear anywhere. If you want to hear great preaching and listen to beautiful music, you should do yourself a favor and go to mass here.
Beautiful interior, well maintained. Loved listening to the organ.
Its a nice building, but is rarely open to visitors
Went for a marriage with my loved one
Another gorgeous/traditional church in Philly. It is the oldest Catholic church in Philly and is still in fantastic shape. This place is great for a traditional Catholic wedding.
This historic church is a beautiful, spiritual place in the heart of old city Philadelphia. The history and aesthetics are stunning, and even if you are not religious, it is a very worthwhile place to visit. It is practically hidden within the city block, but the beauty when you enter its doors is expansive.
Very nice.
Just a beautiful church.
Wonderful mass, good sermons, Jesuit parish, parishioners very welcoming and friendly! Oldest Catholic Church in Philadelphia!!
A cool historic church. Worth checking out. Historic, and still has public services.
Great place, good food
I was actually here for a counseling session which the office was located within the churches area also. Beautiful scenery
It is a beautiful historical Roman Catholic Church, when we entered someone was playing the organ. GAVE me chills. Went for a historical project for my sons school project for St Matthews school in northeast Philadelphia. As we left we meet Father Flynn, Jesuit priest, got a picture of my son and him.
Historic and holy!
Beautiful historic church, lovely Christmas services.
American History is fascinating to me. The history of this church and this area of town stimulates the mind.
