My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here. We loved the ambiance and the coffee. We had the Coffee here for the second time we visited. We really enjoyed meeting here and hearing their story. On this day of having our eyes glued to phone and computers, it was refreshing to take a break and be in the moment! If we are back in that area again we will definitely stop by!
We love visiting the Woodlands - Ive been going for 25 years since I moved to Philly!
Cute cafe. The staff is always cheerful and welcoming! The coffee is great and they are quick! I walk here in the morning to start my day-convenient location! Really made my day!
I came in town from the local suburbs and stopped by for a glass of wine for this resto-bar. I ended up getting an espresso for myself and I do enjoy myself. The lights are great and the place is very nice to jam with.
The waiters and all staff participated in an impressive style, the meals were great and my buddies were extremely thrilled. Nice!
I love coming here to walk my dog around the outer dirt trail. Its beautiful. The Grave Gardener program is a great resource and the flowers feel like a gift to the people resting in the cemetery from previous centuries.
It would be better if the pavement on the place would be more smooth and even so that bicyclists like myself could ride, train and race other bicyclists. I also like this place because of the tree. It kinda reminds me of the forest.
Peaceful.
Beautiful peaceful place.
Beautiful grounds! The upkeep of the grounds is fantastic. Flowers in the cradle graves gives the cemetery a warm feeling.
Lovely walk, especially at dusk, in a picturesque location that is well-kept and historic. Philadelphia has many Victorian cemeteries, and all seem overshadowed by the grand Mt. Laurel, but The Woodlands has the most charismatic and quaint character, and no two tombstones are the same. Well-kept paths and well-maintained grounds, but as the cemetery is very hilly, it may be a challenging walk for those who are often short of breath. There are no bathrooms or facilities inside the grounds, and it is suggested that you do not disturb the historic cemetery in any way, shape, or form, so that others can enjoy it in the future.
Oh how I love the Woodlands. Its such a peaceful oasis. We like to do family bike rides winding around the paths - its the perfect place for a little tot just learning to ride in the city. Plus, anywhere you stop to take a break is perfect. And you can just feel the history all around you. So very beautiful and rejuvenating.
Very peaceful cemetery that many people find great walk or jog in every day. Its a hidden jam in the city of Philadelphia!
My first time going there was kinda creepy with all the dead people but its a great place to hang out, get some excise, go for a walk, meet people.
This place has a sense of passive and strong energies of the souls that have partaken at the rest of their vesselsIt transmit a sense of peace, tranquility and place to call home and the gate to leave this world and realityI wonder if I am to rest after the struggles of this life and every night passed midnight, speak to the dead and bring spiritual salvation and enlightenment to the dead in ignorance to ascendI was born as an Oracle Shem Priest to administer to the living and the dead to help them ascend above the heavens and to meet the Divine in them within their heartsWoodland Cemetery is a Victorian home in the modern world, a sacred resting place for this Enochian Watcher, known to the Theosophists as, Shemyaza, He who has the Divine fire of illuminationWonderful place to be to cherish life and its triumphant victories
I made a recent trip to Philadelphia from Florida, and needed help from staff with finding grave locations. Time was short and they were very helpful. I was grateful for the assistance. It was wonderful seeing the progress that is being made restoring the cemetery to its former beauty.
Great place to go for a walk.
Always well-kept and such a beautiful grounds.
Beautiful, peaceful place to take a walk. Dogs are allowed as long as they are on a leash and you clean up.
I visited this cemetery in June 2015 to research the graves of my ancestors. The office staff was incredibly helpful and patient with me, as I had trouble finding some of the gravesites. Wonderful staff at the office.
Started jogging here in 2005. Just a great quiet place to be by yourself
