Sits there all the way in the back surrounded by trees neatly manicured by the Fairmount Park Commission. It’s also a privilege to be able to walk up and touch it. I usually would park up and wipe the car down, also just sit and chill in the car out in the park. The city of Philadelphia knows that this park is a major free space that means a lot to its constituents..... and we love it!!!!

Historic Strawberry Mansion was the summer home of Philadelphia judge, lawyer, and abolitionist William Lewis (1751-1819). Lewis maintained an anti-slavery stance throughout his life, and defended the rights of slaves freed under the first abolition law in the United States, a law he helped draft and pass in the year 1780 called the Act For The Gradual Abolition of Slavery.

The Historic Strawberry Mansion is located in Fairmount Park in North Philly the place is not fun because i drove by it and it did not look special now mind you this was during Thanksgiving so the mansion might not be open for tours but it is in close proximity to other historic places in Fairmount Park it is also located along the Skuykill River as well so thats fun overall i dont really recommend this place because there is not much to see but if im wrong im sorry

Learning about Philadelphia culture in this beautiful historical mansion is a great family fun time. We learned about the Schuylkill river being a source of revenue to fund the freedom of slaves. So many facts to explore!! #ForeverMansion #PhiladelphiaCulture #JudgeLewis
