Interesting. Nice space. 18th century history. Established through an assisting 5 British pound donation from Benjamin Franklin. Hosted a meeting of the Philadelphia Religious Leaders Council today.

The Rabbi is very personable and the congregation very welcoming. The Seder was well run and explained very well. The building is well kept and the Synagogue has a long and rich history in the Philadelphia area going back to 1740. I felt very comfortable here.

This was one of the best Shabbat experiences Ive had away from home. This shul was established in 1740 before US Independence! Benjamin Franklin was one of the donors for the building, and hes buried adjacent to the synagogue. If youre here for a convention or conference make sure to sign up for Shabbat Meals on the website. I even made great business connections meeting other convention attendees at shul. Also there is a huge Eruv that covers most of the city. Check the website!
