We enjoyed a peaceful spring walk around historic St. Peters Church graveyard, admiring the blossoming cherry trees and spring flowers. The church dates back to 1761 when George and Martha Washington were regular parishioners. Download their audio tour to learn about others buried here: architect Charles Wilson Peale and Commodore Stephen Decatur (the big column photo). This is a welcoming, inclusive Episcopal church with friendly parishoners who give historic and ghost tours of the grounds. The graveyard is open to on-leash dogs and we saw several on our visit.

My daughter was married in a small private ceremony at this beautiful historic church. What a meaningful and wonderful experience we had!

Popped in to check it out and the lady there gave us a 5 star tour! Showed us where the presidents sat and where the who-to-know hung out. Explained the physical structure and how they bounced sound around the room. Had an example coal heater and a wealth of history. She was delighted to share a story of her daughters wedding there. Gorgeous and so important. Love that its still in use.

I did the audio tour of the church graveyard. There were a lot of prominent Philadelphians buried there. The tour was interesting and informative

Even though weve devolved to becoming part of the Ivys and the lilys, we love the congregation and leadership at St. Peters. The choir is great, too!

Havent been inside the church, but the graveyard is interesting & beautiful. There are several benches to sit at for a peaceful lunch or bookreading. However, lots of dogs are walked here, if that bothers you.

Interesting Church, the best part was a volunteer who spent 20 minutes or so telling us about its history and answering questions.
